For the record, I am not a person to make complaints or post reviews typically, however, what I most recently experienced here needs to be told so people know what they are getting themselves into.
I have been going to Yama Sushi since they were Zen Garden, so for about 15 or 16 years now, maybe more. I have absolutely loved everything about their food and have never had an issue with them, until today.
I usually tip every time I come in, even though I order online and pick up my food and don't eat inside. However, on my most recent trip I didn't have the money to be able to tip so I ordered online like usual, paid in person and picked up my food and left.
Well today I find out by looking at my bank statements that the person who rang up my order charged me an extra $10 on my bill that I did not authorize. This happened immediately after that same person made a very rude remark to me about not tipping because I was given some free soup. Seriously? I did not ask for the soup. Please feel free to never give me free soup again if it means I won't have my money stolen from me.
All this to say, I will clearly never eat here again and as sad as I am to say that, I hope my review can at least warn people to be mindful of their totals and pay attention to what your bank statement shows.
