I am 27 weeks pregnant and have a severe shellfish allergy, so I made it very clear when ordering sushi that I could not have any shellfish (crab, shrimp, etc.). The staff recommended the baked skin salmon roll and eel roll, so I ordered those. When I received my order, they gave me the baked salmon roll, which contains crab—a mistake that could have been deadly for me and my unborn baby.
When I explained the situation, Josephine told me she would refund me and that she didn’t need my card to process it. I was skeptical but trusted her. A week later, there was no refund. When I called to follow up, Josephine remembered me, hung up on me, and stopped answering my calls. She later called back saying the manager wouldn’t be available on a day I could come.
When I finally went back in, a staff member named "Young Bee" dismissed my concerns, refused to give me her real name, and wouldn’t tell me when the manager would be available. Thankfully, a staff member named Alex kindly told me when David, the manager, would be working.
This restaurant’s negligence could have seriously harmed or killed me and my baby. On top of that, their staff was dishonest, evasive, and took zero accountability for their dangerous mistake. If you have allergies or expect basic professionalism, I strongly urge you to avoid this place.
