Despite its 15-year tenure, this establishment feels remarkably contemporary. The wood-paneled interior remains fresh and serene, perfectly capturing the refined aesthetic of high-end Japanese dining. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive—complementing the comfort of the spacious seating.
The Highlights:
Ebi Tempura: Exceptional. The prawns were firm and fresh, encased in a delicate, golden batter prepared in the traditional, painstaking style. It was clean on the palate and perfectly fried.
Hamachi Sashimi: Expertly prepped. The thickness of the slices was calculated to highlight the natural oils and buttery texture of the yellowtail.
Tamayokucha: A standout green tea. The quality of the leaves was evident in the smooth, tannin-free finish. It served as the perfect palate cleanser between courses.
The "Almost" Favorites:
The Toro Sashimi was undeniably fresh, though the portions felt a bit conservative compared to international standards. However, given how rare quality Toro is in this region, it remains a welcome find.
The Matcha Ice Cream offered a pleasant finish, though the addition of Turkish yogurt and Prosecco makes it more of a fusion experiment than a traditional dessert.
The Critique:
Skip the Mizu (Still Water). At 90kč, it carried the distinct, metallic aftertaste of hard water—a disappointing note in an otherwise premium experience.
Verdict: With an expansive menu left to explore, a return visit is certainly on the horizon.
