"The fried chicken at Low is some of the best in Denver and Steamboat, though the cocktails and happy hour prices are just as nice. Here, a warm and rustic interior along with comforting Southern fare is just the right recipe to make any long day seem quite worth it. Note: This restaurant recently moved from its longtime Steamboat home to the site of the former Cloverdale restaurant, which closed last fall." - Josie Sexton, Lucy Beaugard

This is the cutest restaurant in steamboat! My family and I sat outside where the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I got the chicken sandwich with a large portion of fries. I personally didn’t feel the flavors on the sandwich went well together, so it wasn’t my favorite dish. All the other members in my group enjoyed their meals though. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Steamboat!

Such a cute little place! I really enjoyed my wine and appetizer truffle fries. The ambiance and service was really great. I will say my salad was not very filling and was more aesthetic than anything. The salmon was good though! Would definitely go back it was really cute:)

Yamp River Kitchen is amazing! We got old fashioneds, focaccia bread and mushroom bisque for happy hour, then ordered beef short ribs, steak au poivre, and a bottle of French wine for dinner, then shared black forest mousse for dessert. OMG, it was ALL SOOO GOOD!!! We ate less than half our entrees, as the servings were very generous, so will enjoy leftovers when we get home. Ciara provided fantastic service, too! Highly recommend!!!

This place has a very fun and unique menu! I enjoyed trying one of their mocktails ( the orange julia), their pistachio matcha latte and the honey coconut latte ! The food was really good too! We ordered the burgers ! Apart from this the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was great! Like a beautiful garden.

Cute spot off the main road! The atmosphere was adorable, service was good and so was the food. It took a little long to get to the table, even though it wasn’t busy but we weren’t in a rush. We got the lemon crepe to share at the table, it was delicious. Fyi chantilly cream is just whipped cream lol. I got biscuits and gravy, the biscuit was really good, gravy was tasty and the eggs were super fluffy.

Great menu! Justin helped narrow it down from a ton of great options to the Huevos Rancheros. Huge portion and good to the last bite. Looking forward to another visit to try more things.

**Yampa Valley Kitchen: A Culinary Gem in Steamboat Springs** Nestled in the charming town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Yampa Valley Kitchen is a culinary haven that has quickly become the highlight of my dining experiences. Frequenting this delightful restaurant at least once or twice a week all summer long, I can confidently say it offers the freshest and most beautifully presented dishes in town. Unlike the many other fine dining establishments in Steamboat Springs, which often feature glamorous meat entrées, Yampa Valley Kitchen shines with its focus on fresh ingredients and exquisite presentation. The restaurant boasts lovely outdoor gardens, filled with herbs and flowers that are incorporated into their dishes. These gardens provide a serene and picturesque setting, perfect for a leisurely meal with friends, family, or business associates. The menu at Yampa Valley Kitchen is diverse and caters to all tastes. For breakfast, their avocado toast is a California dream, while the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon is a must-try. Another standout is the French toast with Foster bananas, which is a delightful treat. Each dish, no matter how simple, is elevated with fresh herbs and vibrant presentation. The freshly mixed vegetable juices are a refreshing complement to any meal, and the selection of teas, served in elegant tea presses, adds a special touch to the dining experience. Inside, the ambiance is equally inviting. The air-conditioned dining room features charming music, a great bar, and spotless bathrooms. However, my favorite spot remains the outdoor garden, where the beauty of the surroundings enhances the pleasure of the meal. Dinner at Yampa Valley Kitchen is nothing short of spectacular. The mushroom soup is rich and flavorful, and the salmon is cooked to perfection. One of the absolute highlights is the truffle fries, topped with truffle oil and freshly grated Parmesan cheese—simply the best fries in Steamboat Springs. What sets Yampa Valley Kitchen apart is not just the quality of the food, but the overall dining experience. The attention to detail in both service and presentation is remarkable. The staff’s dedication to creating fabulous food and a welcoming atmosphere is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. Yampa Valley Kitchen is truly a special place to eat. It’s my favorite dining spot in Steamboat Springs, and I’m not alone in my admiration. Each visit reaffirms why I keep coming back, and I am always eager to return. My heartfelt thanks to the staff for their exceptional work in making each meal a memorable experience.

Very very good restaurant in Steamboat. Lots of vegetarian options and a unique menu. We had great service and the outdoor dining area was amazing. I’ll definitely come back here next time I’m in the area. Also they take reservations for brunch which is so hard to find!

Yelp
We came in for lunch. Not a lot of tables taken but they sat us at the bar which was very nice since we did not have a reservation. The bartender was super nice and we had a cappuccino and spiced chai latte which were both excellent. Lots of really good looking cocktails but was not ready for that today. We order the chicken Sammy, smoked tomato Benedict and Lemon Crepe. All were excellent and everyone was very pleased. Obviously a scratch kitchen. The chicken Sammy was perfectly cooked and lots of flavor. It has a grilled seasoned jalapeño on top skewered with tooth pick. That was nice as I sliced it as needed to work into the sammy taking the heat level to the place I wanted. Lots of interesting things on the menu and we are planning on coming back on the this trip. I made reservations for later in the week. Highly recommend this place for the great food and service. Interesting flavors paired together.

Yelp
First time visiting this establishment and it did not disappoint. The presentation of each plate lived up to the reputation of the flavor. The drinks were just a great. A must do when you want a great dining experience.

Alicia S.

Yelp
This is such a peaceful spot for American food with an Asian twist. The cocktail menu is inventive and fun, with fresh ingredients. Reservations are recommended, especially on the weekend. The breakfast/lunch menu is fantastic, and they have a delicious menu of alcoholic/non-alcoholic cocktails, fresh juices, and coffees. Friendly and knowledgeable service in the cutest, cozy, and warm atmosphere!! It is one of the go-to restaurants if you're into hip, stylish, quaint, quality, and delicious food.

Breen K.

Yelp
An amazing brunch in Steamboat Springs! The orange julia was great, as well as the lemon crepe & rosti. The location is adorable, we loved all the early 2000's cookbooks to browse. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!

Yelp
This was easily my favorite restaurant experience I've had in steamboat: food, staff and setting included. We were lucky enough to visit on a night in beautiful weather, and we got to sit outside in the garden . Everything was blooming and we had to watch the sunset while we ate. Even though there was music on it was at a great volume so we could easily hear everyone speaking. Our waitress, Seana, was so wonderful and gave great recommendations. She was able to answer all of our questions easily and was super enjoyable to interact with. (Also had great style (: ) The food blew all of us away. I won't mention everything we had but there was not one bad bite. Our favorites were : beets & bleu (with dill YUM), bread with lavender honey butter, the strawberry tomato salad with tofu, the prosciutto & burrata, and the truffle Jalapeno hush puppies. Everything had really well balanced but interesting flavors and the presentation was killer. I also ordered the rose gimlet which was no exception and we had the chamomile honey panacotta which was the most unique tasting thing we ordered - definitely recommend trying. As a big compliment to the chefs I don't typically enjoy goat cheese or chamomile but this meal may have convinced me otherwise. Now that I see that Yampa Valley Kitchen also serves breakfast and lunch it's quite possible they'll see me again in the next few days if I can make it there. Everybody go.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Very efficient spot, great server, super nice interior and vibe...Jungle - Busy Earnin, good times, phantogram music played in back...that's a star. I settled on the Cali dreamin Benedict from the many choices and Pistachio matcha latte. Top 3 breakfast in Steamboat hands down.

Ryen B.

Yelp
Nice spot for lunch on the patio when the weather is nice. Smoked salmon salad was tasty, though missing the oranges. Good option if you want something light, not too filling.

Ashlee R.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant! We all loved what we got to eat for brunch. Such fun coffee flavors and all were delicious

Kelsey L.

Yelp
Delicious! I had the chicken Sammy and my husband and MIL got the truffalo burger. The burger was messy but good! The chicken Sammy was good too! Our server was amazing- so kind and helpful with questions. This is a neat place that is cozy and welcoming. This was my first time there and will be going back! Definitely want to go for brunch sometime!

Yelp
I loved going to Yampa Valley Kitchen during my visit to Steamboat. I came in wanting steak and eggs and although it isn't on the menu anymore, they were able to put it together for me which was really nice. While the side salad on this was didn't do it for me, the steak, the butter toast and egg combo was decadent and messed up in all the right ways. My partner really enjoyed the avocado toast and the Thai wat salad. Our waitress was very kind and incredibly attentive. The entire aesthetic of this little house with different rooms for seating, was so well done. The wallpapers they used really made different parts pop. I loved it. I will definitely come back when I'm in steamboat again.

Yelp
This is a beautiful brunch place close to downtown but not actually on Main St. So the car traffic and foot traffic and noise are just so much better. It's on a corner lot, and they have plenty of seating outside. It was such a beautiful day to eat outside. Sitting amongst the trees and flowers. It's a nice place to come too for brunch. Our waitress was cool. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a pretty good menu as well. And being a brunch place, they have a pretty good drink menu too!! Mimosas included, of course. I ordered their Rosti. This was really good!! It's a Swiss style potato pancake (hashbrowns) with ham, gruyere, and a sunny side up egg on top. The potato was crisp. The cheese held everything together. Good amount of ham. And the egg added some moistness to it. The "hot" sauce (more like chunky tomato salsa) they had really added to the dish. Flavors were amazingly balanced. Not overly salty. It was perfectly harmonious and amazing!! Its definitely a hearty dish. Being a brunch place, I ordered several drinks. My favorite drink was the pistachio matcha latte. It was a warm drink. It was well balanced. You can taste the pistachio as well as the matcha. It wasent overly bitter. It was smooth. Creamy. Tasted really good. The other drink I got, which was iced, was their toasted coconut latte. This one was bland. I could've done without it. I won't be ordering that particular one again. Oh and we also split a banana Foster. It goes big on flavor!! It was sweet, but not crazy sweet. Toast really soaked up all that yummy goodness. Decadent and rich without being nauseating. But overall, i love the vibes here. It's a nice little place close to the beaten path of Main St. But the food is amazing. Drinks were good, too. I'd definitely come back here again!!

Yelp
We had a reservation for brunch on the lovely garden patio. The restaurant interior is gorgeous. The menu looked great and we were excited to try it. The food was tasty, but the service was slow and our dishes weren't as hot as we would have liked. They informed us that they were experiencing some issues in the kitchen and offered us a discount, which we appreciated. We'll try again and hope for a better experience next time.

Yelp
Dinner is a new offering at YVK in 2024, and it has already established itself as one of the best dinners in town. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything is good. Make reservations, popular spot.

Sabrina H.

Yelp
I've never not had an amazing meal at YVK. It is a very certain crowd - they all look like the type who do Orange Theory and have to talk about it, the kind that subscribes to Goop, but it is very important that you look past that. Ive always gone with adults, or by myself, but I was with my older son this time. The servers are stretched super thin, so it may take a while to get your order in or see food, but just relax, grab a book from one of the shelves (if you are upstairs), and enjoy the space. This is NOT the place to go if you are in a rush - if you do, then don't get mad at the staff, because that was your bad decision. My son ordered one of their locally made sodas and the burger and fries. I had the Greek salad. It was between that and the veggie burger, but the server said the dressing was really delicious. She was not wrong!! Everything we had was so, so good. My son, who likes nothing and loves to tell me about it, was still talking about the meal hours later. He even asked if we could go again! We had an emergency with my younger son while we were there, so we had to get to the hill asap. Despite being jammed, they got us right out. My son talked about it so much that the younger said he deserved to go too, so I went back the next day. I had the avocado toast, which is beautiful and delicious, but I should have had another Greek salad, because that couldn't be beat!! My advice?

Michelle D.

Yelp
The food was good I had bumbleberry pancakes I thought they needed some syrup the waitress said I would have to pay extra for syrup thought that was crazy there where pancakes!!

Love Lv F.

Yelp
My sister in law recommended this place for breakfast so we decided to check it out. I ordered the french omelet, my husband ordered a standard breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast. The service was good and the food was tasty. However my food was cold. I'm not sure if mine was prepared first and was under a warming light while my husband's entree was being cooked or the dishes were cold and it cooled off my omelet. For being a bit pricey, especially for breakfast, I was disappointed that my meal was cold. I always like to try a place more than once, so I will give it another try on my next visit.

Meghan K.

Yelp
This is one of the most welcoming, cozy, and well run places one could eat. I highly recommend you try this place out if you can. you won't regret it I know it's statistically likely those who feel strongly will review, however, trust that you will feel the same if you come here. maybe I caught a good day here

Katie G.

Yelp
I really really enjoyed this place. Went for dinner. Would love to go again for a brunch! Super cute interior that just felt like you were in a home that wanted to serve everyone some great food! We got the focaccia bread to start as well as the beets and blue. Then I split a salad and gnocchi with my mom! The gnocchi had a good spice to it but it wasn't overpowering and when you had a bite with some burrata it was followed by a smooth finish. The salad dressing vinaigrette was so light with a nice zip of flavor. Kept the salad light but flavorful. My brother had the fried chicken which was great but he did say he wished the menu had more variety. My uncle had the stroganoff and loved it! We got to our 5:30 rez and they were kind enough to let us order a happy hour drink deal once we sat down and looked things over which we really appreciate. Server was very kind and knowledgeable!

Hannah G.

Yelp
Best breakfast of my life. Love everything there. The rosti and the bananas fosters.... it is SO cute inside. We have been in the summer too and love the patio! We also had a group of 10 and they sat us upstairs in our own room. It was so fun!

Aik G.

Yelp
We had a family dinner upstairs in a private room. The food looked good but I didn't like what I got. The soup was very very plain, it literally had no taste. And the Waldorf salad didn't impress me either. But others liked the duck and drinks. Service is good tho.

Caelen C.

Yelp
My favorite go to spot in Steamboat for breakfast and lunch! Excellent salads, love the matcha latte.

Carlos S.

Yelp
What a cool little place. Excellent menu, at little bit of everything. Full bar, professional bartender creating all sorts of great drinks. Food was excellent, even a few things young teens enjoyed. Priced reasonably for Yampa. Would definitely recommend and return to.

Jeanette N.

Yelp
This place deserves ten stars. We went here for dinner. I just noticed it is known for its breakfast. Well, it should also be known for its dinner! The service was impeccable - we had Vanessa as our server. She was timely, had great social skills, and got every exactly right. The restaurant is lovely too. Perfectly lit, plenty of seating, warm and inviting. Not overly stuffy. The food was amazing! The flavors, beauty, and quality of the dishes were astounding. All the food came out on time and cooked to perfection. We were a party of four and tried multiple dishes. We loved everything we got but our favorite things were the beet and blue cheese salad which was mouth wateringly yummy and so gorgeous! And the pork chop. So tender and flavorful. That sauce- OMG! We wanted to lick the plate but decided that would probably be messy. And rude. But I will go back to this restaurant every time I go to Steamboat. The whole experience was top notch!

Peggy C.

Yelp
Each year I grow to love YVK This year was no exception especially after they opened for dinner! Tonight's meal was as delicious as the many lunches I've enjoyed sitting out on their beautiful garden patios... the velvety sweet butternut squash soup was heavenly, the Bee Grateful Farms salad tasted so fresh picked, Tims local grass fed truffelo Burger was oh so tasty and my Veggie beet mushroom burger with a side of truffle aioli was like no other veggie burger! Crispy "meaty" so damn good! Well Done YVK team! The wait staff, welcoming, friendly and first rate! I also so appreciate and love the homey cozy ambiance! It deserves 5 stars for everything! It's a place if I don't want to cook, I head there! DELICIOUS! And so Gluten Free friendly!

Peter Y.

Yelp
Very cute place with lots of windows and nice calm music for the morning background. The service was great and they also had a bar. The latte specials are fantastic. We'll definitely be back to try lunch!

Joe K.

Yelp
Wonderful food, great service. Summer the outdoor dining in the garden is great. Recommend you try the mussels with crostini.

Ellis M.

Yelp
Shhhhh, don't tell anyone, Yampa Valley Kitchen serves the best dinner in Steamboat! In the 6 day trip we ate there twice! The Potato Leek Soup was commented at our table by one diner "as the best soup he'd ever had in his life." The Duck was amazing! Burger and fries are on point. The drink menu was good albeit a little odd since they don't seem to stock mainstream brands.

Mosie S.

Yelp
"Yampa Valley Kitchen made me move to Steamboat." Kelsie does the most exceptional job at making sure everything here is immaculate. The food, the service, the atmosphere. No notes.

Shannon H.

Yelp
When in Steamboat, Yampa Valley Kitchen is our go-to spot for breakfast and brunch. The atmosphere is really lovely, the restaurant is in a beautiful old home that has been converted into a gorgeous, bright and airy restaurant. There is a cozy, yet upscale feel that is really inviting. The food has always been incredible, my fiancee loves to order the Rösti, aswiss style potato pancake with ham, gruyère, caramelized onion, sunny side up egg. I have ordered the French omelette which gruyère, ham, caramelized onion, chive with breakfast potatoes or Greens on the side and the Chocolate Hazelnut Crepe with house made "nutella", bananas, toasted hazelnut, chantilly cream, which was so decadent and incredibly delicious. I've also tried the BLT, which was good but a bit heavy due to the bread used. Their drinks are also incredible- the pistachio latte is a must try and the Garden Mary which has beet juice, peppers, tomato, celery, lemon, ginger, spices, herbs, hot sauce, horseradish vodka or seedlip garden. Initially, I was scared that the beet would be to prominent, but it was a delicious take on a standard Bloody Mary. Overall, Im so impressed by Yampa Valley kitchen and will be returning next time I'm in Steamboat.

Tim D.

Yelp
We went there for our special night out. Food was good to excellent. The waiter dropped a wine glass that shattered all over our table. Accidents happen. The Entree took uncomfortably long enough that the waiter felt the need to explain we would be right up. After another long wait, we were told that a large party's order had gotten ahead of us. Got our food. Ok, so you're in the weeds. At the end of the meal, the waiter asked if we cared for dessert. "Are you offering?" The answer came back: "We can't do that." It is one thing to mess up. It is another to not make an effort to ensure your customers are happy. Won't be back.

Garrett M.

Yelp
My entire family loves coming here! The food is outstanding and the servers are always super friendly. Definitely try the Rosti when you come. It is super good!

Sophia L.

Yelp
Great food! Great atmosphere! Very nice servers! Had an incredible French omelette and biscuits and gravy today . So good! Coffee and tea better that your regular breakfast spot. Can't wait to come for dinner!

K K.

Yelp
The most incredible breakfast ever! I got the huevos rancheros and my friend got the biscuits and gravy. We both were raving about how delicious the food was. The ambiance is also adorable and the music was really good. Everyone working there was really nice! We went on a Saturday morning during Memorial Day weekend and were able to sit at the bar -- our waitress warned us the food was taking a long time to come out and it definitely took a long time. We were there for 2 hours. So on the weekends definitely make sure you are okay with killing some time. Also we got coffee drinks and they were incredible! Highly recommend this gem!

Jack L.

Yelp
If you visit Steamboat Springs then this is the place for lunch. Fair prices and healthy size servings. The BLT will feed two adults. Full bar service

Alisa J.

Yelp
Best breakfast ever! Seriously, anytime anyone tells me they are going to Steamboat Springs, I always recommend this place to them! The food, the service, the drinks, the atmosphere, everything was so perfect! I love the freshness of their food, and they have a wonderful menu! I had the bananas fosters French toast which was really good and also tried the Reuben which is Korean inspired and it was one of the best things I ever had. Who knew that putting kimchi on a Reuben would be a good idea.

Aubrey V.

Yelp
Best meal we had in steamboat! I never get fancy coffee drinks, but I love hazelnut, so I tried this one since all my friends were getting lattes. So good!! The breakfast sandwich was the best I've ever had. Incredible bread. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Service was wonderful and they were great to squeeze us in before our flight. Highly recommend--and grab a reservation if you can! It was packed!

John L.

Yelp
Excellent food, okay service, and an ant in the drink. On food alone, probably 5 stars. We ordered a few burgers and the chicken sandwich. Very high quality ingredients executed well. Creativity factor is pretty high, featuring ingredients like yuzu pickles, kimchi, and gochujang. The burgers were cooked to perfection and juicy. Fries were forgettable and reminded me of five guys fries, but a little thicker cut and without sugar. The ketchup looked and tasted better than the glossy version of the heinz variety. Like the burgers, the chicken was cooked perfectly and very juicy. Seasoning was just right on everything. Service was a bit slow, and I get the impression that they were understaffed. Prices also seemed a bit high. But these things are the trend everywhere, so I suppose I'll reserve judgement on those aspects. One big issue was the ant in the zero proof cocktail that we ordered. Unfortunately we only discovered it after it was in my wife's mouth. She picked it out of her mouth and placed that ant corpse on the base of the glass. Horrifying experience, and we thought about just getting up and leaving on the spot. But we decided to just stick around and see how the food was. We were glad that we did because food turned out to be great. They offered to replace the drink, but we were in no mood for it. We just requested that the drink be taken away and taken off of our bill, which was done. Kind of hard to put the genie back in the bottle, and it really marred the totality of our experience. Based on the good food, we'll keep this place in mind for the future. However, I don't think we'll be back anytime soon because I think there are plenty of other great places near by that would have done something more to make the situation better.

Cassidee D.

Yelp
We came here for the food + drinks, but we stayed for Sami (the fab bartender) If you want to set your weekend right, do it right here

Steve K.

Yelp
We stopped at this nice little farm to table restaurant that came highly recommended...I ordered a fresh lemonade which was very refreshing. Lunches included veggie, and beef burgers, a smoked salmon salad , and a Monti Cristo.. All the food was nicely presented and was very tasty. Y V K has a very chill atmosphere and is a great place to have your morning, afternoon, or evening repast.

Naimah M.

Yelp
Came here while on vacation and the service and food was delish! Cute little spot that gets very busy on weekends. Make a reservation if you can.

Shea C.

Yelp
Ansolutly incredible brunch spot. Fot was unique, fresh and delicious. The bartender is friendly and makes incredible craft cocktail like you have never had before. Do not missout on this spot!

Melody K.

Yelp
Yummy yum yum all kinds of goodness for breakfast and lunch! If you are in Steamboat do your taste buds a favor and eat here! I want to just keep using adjectives to describe the awesomeness of this restaurant, but then it wouldn't really provide a real review. I was told about this little gem by a local while at a spa in Steamboat. I love farm to table and I was intrigued to hear it described garden to table - so of course the minute I was able I looked it up online. I so wanted to eat there for breakfast, alas no reservations available. I am to stubborn to take no from an online reservation system. I set an alarm, woke the hubby And made sure we were there early - as in before 8AM - scored a table - high five me! I had the mushroom toast that was on the specials menu. I love mushrooms and with a sunny side egg on top it was a rich satisfying treat. My hubby got the eggs Benedict and raved about the biscuit is was served on. The orange juice is fresh and so refreshing as it was already warming up. You would think that would have been the end, oh no no no! I told a friend who had come up about it and since we were planning on getting our men together the next day for breakfast and since I wanted to try more culinary goodness - I stopped in and made a reservation for the next day. High five me again - they loved it as well. Hubby had avocado toast (didn't see that coming) with an egg on the side. I had the savory crepe - yes amazing and way bigger then I anticipated, the girlfriend got the rosti and her man got the chunky monkey. We walked away happy full and telling everyone how awesome this restaurant is...and then it happened - the totally different group of women I was with sharing my delight said let's go for lunch. I am excited and nervous - stop in - at lunch - with no reservations- it was kismet we got a table at 12:30 on a Sunday! It was everything I imagined. We had cocktails; garden Mary, beet sour, matcha mint G&T, orange Julia and ginger something! Not a single one of us didn't like a drink we got and all raved about the creativity. The lunch menu looks so good and we were hungry- we wanted those starters but we held off - I had a tuna melt - open faced with fried capers - hello do you need to know anything else I said fried capers. Another friend got the Ruben with kimchi (I got a taste and sooooo good), a Waldorf salad with salmon and a burger - everyone loved the food and we all got the side of Parmesan truffle fries- not a fry insight when we were done. And then....I had to leave Steamboat. Other amazing details - their gardens are fantastic and so nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy them, service was good each time, the atmosphere inside is pure charm.

Yelp
Such a pleasant surprise and a cute restaurant! I spent the day in Steamboat with a friend of mine and we originally planned to go to a breakfast place we saw on Yelp, but we made a turn and saw this restaurant and thought how cute it was! It was not as busy as other restaurants near by and the service was friendly! As far as the food goes, it was very good! The cubano Benedict was yummy! It was a Benedict version of a cubano sandwhich, the biscuit was delicious and freshly baked. Frittata was fluffy and not rubbery, steak was great inside the frittata. The green juice was also very refreshing and a great addition to our meal. We loved it and if we do come back to Steamboat, I would love to try this place again!

John H.

Yelp
If you enjoy delicious food, friendly staff, and wonderful ambiance, then YVK is the place to go. Avocado toast is my favorite morning dish.

Lauren B.

Yelp
So so so good! I knew that the MacGray family would make another fantastic restaurant but I think this one is my favorite. Everything that hit our table was outstanding from the Cinnamon Toast Crunch coffee to the tuna melt and monte cristo. Every bite made me want to keep coming back for more. Because everything is locally sourced and sustainable you may not see the same menu twice but I don't think that matters in the least, it's what will keep you coming back for more. The only thing that I would do differently is have a different cheese in the kids grilled cheese because my son didn't love it, but honestly it was really tasty too, maybe just not to a 5 year olds taste. The side of fruit they gave him and my side salad made due for him though and he was as happy as a clam. If you're looking for a great patio to have lunch at, this might just be my favorite!

Yelp
The Worst restaurant I have ever been to! After waiting 40 min. for order the food was unpresentable and inedible!! The eggs were cold and the meat was burnt. A shame for the chef to allow food like that to be plated.

Yelp
Now this is how you serve brunch! We made a reservation for a Sunday around noon and we were pleasantly surprised how accommodating they were. The restaurant is super adorable and when you first walk in you'll see how proud they are of their five star/A+ rating of their health rating given by the state. Their menu is delish and they offer breakfast and lunch items so everyone at the table can get their fix. Yampa Valley Kitchen is all about fair trade, organic, healthy animals, sustainable food and sources, and they're super conscious about their the plates and meals they provide. As with any Sunday Funday, mimosas are an absolute must! You can grab mimosa service with a full bottle of champagne and three fresh pressed juices for $50. This is perfect if a few folks are wanting mimosas during y'alls meal. We decided on pineapple, orange, and cranberry juices and the pineapple/orange combination was my favorite. The chips and dips feature their in-house malt vinegar chips and damn were those delicious. So much so that I asked if they sold them by the bag and sadly they don't. WHHHHYYYYYYY I'm a fan of sweet and savory so we also did a lemon curd crepe with chantilly creme. Now my main course was their monte cristo and it was such a flavorful dish. I would definitely order this again. I definitely want to come back for lunch or dinner!

Yelp
This place used to be super good but my last two experiences here were very underwhelming. Both times the food took forever to come and multiple tables near us had completed their meals despite arriving after us. The food quality had also seemed to decline as many of the meals are almost boring at this point.

Yelp
Food was amazing! We had the Reuben and the veggie burger with fries. The cocktails blew us away! The beet and flower sours were divine. Service was fabulous- the kitchen actually closes at 2pm rather than 3- we arrived at 1:50 and they were willing to seat us and were so very friendly! This will be our go to spot from now on.
