Yang Bao Bao

The beef roll was incredibly delicious! It was packed with filling, the wrapper was crispy, and the sauce was perfectly seasoned not too salty. We also tried the beef soup and vegetarian steamed dumplings, and they were both really tasty as well!

Amazingly good of this type of food. We have to order some beef roll and the soup. Both are good more than expected.

A lively spot for northern Chinese food in Kaohsiung that even made it into the Michelin Guide. It’s always popular, often packed late into the night. Through the big front windows you can watch the kitchen in action, with food being freshly prepared nonstop. The corn soup is the best I’ve had in Taiwan — unlike the usual powder-based versions, this one feels rich and homemade. Don’t miss the beef roll with crispy layers and hoisin sauce — absolutely delicious. Dumplings and pretty much everything else here are also great. It’s not a fancy place like Din Tai Fung, but the food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent. A bit far from where I stay, but always worth the trip.

Overall, food is ok but very cheap. Nothing that blew my mind away but for the price it evened out. The place is pretty spacious and modern.

Wasn't too easy to get there from the southern part of the city but definitely worth the trip. There was quite a queue when I got there but I didn't have to wait for much more than 5 minutes. I ordered a soup, dumplings and a roll. The soup and the dumplings were served super quick, the roll arrived when I had finished. Absolutely loved the dumplings, texture was on point, meat was tasty and the soup inside was fantastic. I also recommend trying the roll, loved every bite of it. I'm not much of a soup eater but I wanted to try their soup anyway and it was just as satisfying. Service was quick, very friendly, place is clean, food is good - will definitely remember the place.
