Yangguofu - Review - Paolo Sarpi - Milan - The Infatuation

"With over 6,000 locations across China, Yangguofu is the heavyweight of malatang—a fiery, customizable soup that’s different every time. The drill: Grab tongs and a tray, choose your ingredients, and pay by weight. Minutes later, your selections reappear from the kitchen, perfectly cooked in the broth of your choice. First-timers might feel overwhelmed by the options, but that’s the fun. We like the mini dumplings, crunchy rice cakes, fish balls, lotus root, fried eggs, fresh noodles, and plenty of greens. Broths run from gentle tomato to triple-spicy for chili fiends, and the DIY sauce bar, with sesame paste, soy, garlic, chili, and fermented bean curd, for mixing and matching." - Michael Zee

My favourite Malatang place! I have been here so many times, I cannot even count anymore lol. I recommend it very much, it's very fast, totally worth the price, and the ingredient choices are amazing. Don't forget your free sauce to come with the soup ☺️

THE BEST!! Very authentic and incredible bone broth - just like in China! Great variety of toppings and greatly organized!

We decided to try this place and let me tell you how good it was! I really liked the concept of this restaurant, it’s like a diy noddle bowl. We don’t eat non halal meat, and we were scared there wouldn’t be almost any fish options to add to our noddles, but we got surprised with the quantity of fish options they had. The food was amazing, really really tasty!! Opposite from some comments I saw about the staff, I really felt kindness from them, even the curiosity they had about why we couldn’t eat meat! The space is actually pretty big, comparing with the restaurants in that area, there is a lot of space for you to enjoy your food. I would recommend for you to just make one bowl with your partner or friend , instead of one per each , because really makes you full. Definitely coming back!!

So good, I tried the bone broth medium and for me it's not that spicy. I like they have varieties of noodles as well. And the price is good, I spent 12.5 euro for around 430 gram. I will be a loyal customer.

Really good bang for the buck. Pick all the things you like, it's ready in 5 min. Tasty, cheap, quick. Amazing. Good vegetarian/vegan options.

I first tried it in Rome yesterday, and upon arriving in Milan today, I came straight for another bowl. When I went upstairs to find a seat, the staff directed me downstairs, stating that seats were available there, which I understood. However, shortly after, some friends of the staff arrived, placed their order, and were allowed to sit upstairs. This experience significantly impacted my mood and appetite.

Guys, we are very glad that we chose this place to eat in Chinatown. The concept is great, the atmosphere is great, and the ingredients are even better. It is a "hot pot" similar concept, for those who know it, but in a more modern interpretation. Keep it up guys. Next time we come to Milano, this will definitely be the place to eat!
