There are two sections separated by the rocks mount. The right part is near gray water dump. So I chose to swim at the left part. Water by the rocks is clear this dry peak season There are many types and big fishes. School of fish can be seen at knee level. The bottom is rocky, should wear water shoes.
Can rent mat and umbrella 200B each. Kayake is 100B an hour. Many restaurants dotted nearby. They have beach prices and eatable nothing to rave about. Plenty of free parking for motobikes and autos.
Must say it's my best and free snorkeling experience. Didn't have to pay for tour, going far out with less fish.

If you’re looking for a peaceful escape from the crowded beaches of Phuket, Yanui Beach is the place to be. The water is also great for snorkeling right off the shore, where you can see plenty of colorful fish. After your activities, you can grab a cold coconut from the local stalls nearby. Highly recommended for a fun day out!"

Beautiful beach and great spot to see some fish and do snorkeling with kids.
Sometimes plastic is shored, but there are Thais working on cleaning it constantly, with a rake...

Yanui Beach is a small but incredibly charming spot in Phuket — a cozy bay with calm turquoise water, soft sand, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It’s perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, or just unwinding away from the big crowds. The rocks and small island nearby make it great for beautiful photos, and the sunset views are truly special. A lovely hidden gem that’s definitely worth visiting! 🌊✨

It located south Phuket in Rawai area, closed to Naiharn beach, small size public beach.
It is a spot for free diving and kayaking, you can see the beautiful sea fishes in the water.
There are a lot of tropical trees, you can take a mat to stay serveral hours.
The atmosphere is cozy, gently breeze, relaxing.

The sand is a bit dark .in low tide the right hand side bay looked mudy.no visibility. But if you swim further the visibility is great.
Lots of rocks on both sides of the bay.
The left side had clear water during low tide and than even clearer during high tide.
Both bays were very clear during high tide.
There were lots of beautiful fishes
You could snorkel and swim .
A great place to spend the day.
If you see that the visibility of the water isn't clear give it a chance-swim a bit further or go to the left hand side of the bay (it's just a few steps away front each other)
The fishes are visible without even snorkeling.
Take suitable shoes to swim around the rocks.
There are trees for the shade and you can also rent an umbrella

We just came to chill. It was quiet and peaceful in the morning around 9am. That changed by 10.30/11am so we left.
Water is clean and lively.
No long tail boats. No rental beds/chairs that will take away all space.
Maybe not the most beautiful beach along this coast , but it’s free , easy to access and not completely commercialized.
