Seattle Starters That Are The Main Event - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Depending on the season, you might receive this flaky pastry filled with saucy, cumin-y chicken, or impeccable braised beef that means serious business. No matter what, make sure a cup of mayo-ketchup for drizzling hits the table." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, aimee rizzo, aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente, kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, aimee rizzo

We went to the farmers market and had some empanadas from Yapa. They were delicious! I went back two seconds. My favorite was the Peruvian chicken.

I’m new to this area and just trying places - these are quality empanadas. I really enjoyed the brisket. Excellent Chimichurri. I don’t write reviews much but these guys deserve some attention.

My husband and I have been going to Yapa for 4 years and I’m sad to say things have gone a bit downhill. Over the last few years, prices for their empanadas have gone from $6, to $7, to now $8. I know inflation and costs of everything have gone up, so that’s understandable. But with that, they’ve cut back the menu - no longer offering our favorite La Borracha - likely to streamline. And unfortunately they’ve stopped offering their amazing chimichurri sauce. With prices going up and options, product going down, it’s hard to justify coming back. Please bring back the chimichurri!

Had the pleasure of having these empanadas at the Austin NYE celebration at Auditorium Shores. Their Al pastor empanadas and their Come & Calla brisket empanada hit the spot! Wonderful dough and just the right amount of filling. 10/10 would eat here again and try ALL of their empanadas!

I tried them at the Farmer’s Market in Mueller – absolutely delicious! I had the Peruvian Chicken and Come y Calla Empanadas.

The pastry is way too thick and bready, not at all like South American empanadas. Filling is bland and uninteresting. Waste of money.

Ran into them at the Mueller Farmers Market. Some of the best empanadas I’ve had and the ingredients are genuine. Give them a try!
