24 Hours in Newport, Oregon: Where to Eat, Drink, and Relax | Eater Portland
"Walking around the mouth of the bay through Yaquina Bay State Park is an easy, scenic activity that leads toward Historic Nye Beach and the shoreline." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
Hi there! This is a beautiful place to check. There is a trail that connects the beach with the park where you have to walk all the way crossing the rock bridge. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the lighthouse opens on Wednesday so we couldn’t check that part. However the view from that place is stunning!

Nice Park, Has Picnic Tables to have a Snack or Lunch. Access to the Beach if you want to take the Long Walk Down. Has a Light House that is Still in Operation, Tours with a Guide Close to Yaquina Bridge Well Taken Care of, Worth the Stop

This is a beautiful area!
Stopped on our trip down the Oregon Coast.
Would recommend a very short side stop if you're in the area.
As always, leave it better than you found it and enjoy 😉.

Even while flooded, it was a beautiful area. Amazing views, beautiful forested area and clean crisp air whilst walking along the beach here. Nice open spaces and well defined walking trails throughout. The lighthouse, fishermen memorial and viewpoint here were all fantastic as well.

One of my favorite spots to eat an outdoor breakfast when I'm in Newport. Lots of picnic tables, beautiful views, lighthouse, and usually uncrowded beach, possibly due to all the stairs and long trail to get to it 😁. Perfect for a foggy coastal morning having pastry and chai with your best fur friend

Gorgeous scenery and interesting history. Ample parking, but staircase you can consider your leg-day routine. If you're a sightseer, family, or photographer I highly recommend the stop. Bring a good windbreaker though!
