Every element of our experience at Yara was exemplary. My boyfriend and I arrived, wearing our travel clothes, and the hostesses treated us as if we were visiting royalty. Their kindness had us feeling at home right away. They allowed us to choose whichever table we were most comfortable at, and didn't mind when we moved because we were too cold (the heaters did warm a majority of the outdoor patio though). Our server, Eric, was extremely attentive and hospitable. He asked for my dietary restrictions, and made sure that not a drop of dairy touched my plate, even after ordering a chicken dish that I hadn't realized came with a dairy sauce. Without my asking, he ensured that the dish came out according to my needs. The chef even catered to my boyfriend's inability to handle spice, and removed spicy peppers from the tacos that we shared. Without detracting any flavor from the dish, he substituted sweet peppers instead, and even sent out spicy sauce and hot peppers on the side for me, so that I could still enjoy some heat. Eric also communicated to the chef and kitchen staff that we would be sharing the main dish, and the chicken came out already cut in half for us to make sharing easier. The chef also spoke with us a few times to welcome us and to make sure that we were enjoying everything.
The bartenders did a wonderful job too, I enjoyed the pisco sour with the beef tacos and a glass of sauv blanc with the main chicken dish.
Overall, my partner and I were blown away with the level of hospitality here; everyone we encountered truly went above and beyond. We wish Yara all the best and we are honored to have been a part of their soft opening.
