Stumbled upon this gem while celebrating our 30th Anniversary in Grand Traverse Bay Area! Brandon was a great host, loving the local wine & cider…taco truck served a fabulous carne asada! Our puppy was served his own bowl of ice water. Highly recommend Yard & Lake!

New gem! I’m a local, and this is without a doubt the best food in Leelanau County. Hands down. I went with a big group and we ordered nearly the entire menu, and every single dish was outstanding — not one miss. The eggplant and pork were incredible, easily one the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. I also appreciated that the menu isn’t overly large and feels very well thought out, with a great range that includes both elevated dishes and a solid, well-executed burger. Thoughtful, creative, and flawlessly executed — this place is something really special.

I was lucky enough to try the new menu, and the food was incredible. The environment and staff were very welcoming. The drinks were great, and the bartender was friendly. I highly recommend Yard & Lake to both Leelanau locals and travelers alike.

My wife and I were driving by and spontaneously stopped in based on street appeal. We were delighted beyond expectations. What a beautiful, relaxing and quiet place to enjoy food and a beverage. Plenty of outdoor seating in various settings. We highly recommend it and next time we are nearby will definitely make it a destination.

Love this little spot. It’s got a great atmosphere and the owner is so nice! Only issue we had was with the prices for the taco truck. We spent $40 on what we thought was going to be dinner, but had to go get more food from the market after because the value for what you get is not there. The tacos were good, but teeny tiny & not well filled. Will not be going back to the taco truck.

So Call vibe.... Chill place and great patio. First- bulldog friendly which is a major plus Second- wonderful craft cocktail menu Third - food truck was tacos/Mexican. Yum! And finally, very cute well curated shop.

This was my first time sitting down at a bar. It was the best time sitting down enjoying some drink. I could not ask for better hosts.

Love the concept, drinks were decent but could be a little more potent and less designer-ish. Definitely pricey for craft cocktails, no shame in putting a little booze in there! Hoping the new owners take everything up a notch. Yard & Lake is full of untapped potential. Think Little Fleet with multiple trucks!

A rainy day with the kids and we decided to go to the porcupine shop in town. There, they gave our kids a treasure map that lead to a small toy shop in the back of Yard and Lake. It was adorable and the kids loved it. After we went to the bar side and enjoyed the beautiful bar area and a wonderful spicy margarita and a mocktail. We will definitely be back, fun for everyone!

New and cool bar and shop in Northport! Bartenders shaking up legit cocktails. My Blueberry Lavender Mojito was lovely, fresh, refreshing, and perfect. Lots to choose from, beer, cider, cocktails, mocktails and more. Light and airy with a couple garage window doors, opened up for beautiful weather days (like today), think California mid century modern meets beach lite. Breezy. The bar staff was wonderful. Helpful, attentive without hovering. Fun watching the main bartender shaking two cocktails at a time. Big spiggoted jar of cool water with slices of cucumbers and limes provided gratis, a very nice and thoughtful touch. Two outdoor seating areas, one with picnic tables by the amazing Taqueria Mosqueda food truck (OMG, Gorditas we're to die for!) and the other covered by a huge pergola strung with lights. The connected gift shop has some cool merch, t-shirts, swim shorts and jewelry, plus more. This place is going to be the hit of the summer! Can't wait to come back and just hang!

Everything about our visit was perfect! The drinks were superb. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable on what they were doing. I look forward to going back next month to see and enjoy the great ambiance of yard & lake!
