The 15 Best Places To Eat & Drink At The Battery Atlanta, Ranked - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Yard House is a great pick for an unlimited selection of beer and reliably decent bar food. The large food menu has something for literally everyone, so if you’re with your buddy who never graduated from chicken tendies or your vegan friend who is in the mood for an orange glaze stir fry, then you’re set. Your beer drinking buddies will appreciate that the big central bar has so many taps it seems more like a beer shrine than a bar. In any given seat at Yard House, you’ll have at least seven or eight TVs within view, so if you’re in the mood to watch a game (literally any game), then this is a safe bet. While other places at The Battery have their own specialities and niche crowds, you’ll find all types of folks here from families and frats/sorors to retirees who can fondly recall the Brave’s earlier championships." - nina reeder, demarco williams, juli horsford

The Wisconsin cheese curds are amazing! The mac and cheese was bland, i dont recommend it. The steak was good, shrimp was cold. The chicken with the sweet potato pancakes were the best thing here! Highly recommend. There was a wait for a table so we sat at the bar and had amazing service

Google
Some things were impressive, other things were not good. Local tap beers were good. Our server was good. On the downside, they charge for the games on their little iPad ordering thing (which didn’t actually submit any orders, BTW) so keep it away from the kiddos. Should be a notice on it to that effect. Next, the Mediterranean salmon was burnt. Not edible. See pic. This is not the skin, it’s the meat side.

Love this place. Was out on the patio snd enjoyed the game from there on the big TV. Had a Ribeye steak and it was very good. My wife had the cumin shrimp tacos and she loved them. She said actually one would have been enough. Good selection of beers ane ciders. Our server Diana was incredibly sweet and attentive, soooo nice! Made our dining experience top notch. Definitely recommend!

Google
Went here with my girlfriend for the food market thing they have for the battery (waste of time) but we ate here and are grateful for that or we wouldn’t of come here. My girlfriend got the pepperoni pizza, and we got the traditional wings with bbq and spicy garlic and the vampire tacos. All the food was delicious and I will be for sure coming back. Service was fast, and food came out quick. Beer was tasty and refreshing. Can’t recommend enough. They also let our dog chill with us on the patio!

Google
This was my first time here and the food was great. All the drinks we had were delicious. The atmosphere was amazing and all the staff were great. I can’t wait to make another trip out here. We will definitely be coming back.

Google
The food is typically just okay here. Nothing spectacular. They have bomb drinks, though. This go-round, I ordered my go-to: Strawberry French 75. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders didn't check on us at all. We had to flag them down. They never checked to see if we wanted refills after seeing our empty glasses.

Google
We enjoyed our dinner. I ordered the sweet potato pancakes and hot honey chicken and omg!!! It was delicious 😋. I love a smoked old-fashioned. The whisky black pepper chicken wings were delicious.

Google
Fantastic food for a game day! Make sure to place yourself on the waiting list, before getting to the park, so you can get in quicker / easier!! It was so helpful! We all really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, our server, and the quickness we got in and out of there!

Yelp
I came here because my son was at a sneaker convention and I was hungry. I forgot it was a baseball game and the area was packed. This was actually my second attempt at food. I was completely ignored at the first place. Anywho, I came inside and started I was going to the bar. I sat down and was recognized quickly. Alysia was my server. She was attentive and handled all the guests well. Despite it being a crowd she was good. I ordered the turkey club per her suggestion. I stepped away from my usual pizza or chicken tenders. The club was huge same very filling. I also ordered a Long Beach tea and it was good as well. Needless to say, I will return!

Yelp
Enjoyed dinner here a few weeks ago. We chose to sit at the bar and there were plenty of seats available. I understand this place is packed during the Braves' season, and although it was busy this day, it was manageable. We ordered cheese curds as our appetizer, along with the chicken tender dinner and the BBQ chicken salad. I've loved that salad for years, however it was different this time. Instead of pulled, tender rotisserie chicken, it was a sliced breast. Still good but not my fave. Parking was easy, with just a short walk to the restaurant. Made it easy as we were headed to a nearby event.

Yelp
Food was terrible. Started with a a spicy tuna appetizer only to find a ginormous hair in it after taking a bite. Sent it back. "We'll take that off your bill." Really? Thanks. Next, the wings came out and the container with the ranch was filthy. It ruined my appetite. We let the waitress know we were no longer going to eat. She sent the manager over who then told us we wouldn't need to pay for the food, but made us pay for the one drink, which was really tasty. Some sort of rosemary martini, maybe. Anyhow, I thought it was super petty to charge us for the drink being that we wasted 30 minutes in the restaurant. Still tipped the waitress on the full cost of what our food would've been as it wasn't her fault and she lost a table. So, paid a total of $28 for one drink after tipping $15. The manager wasn't sincere in her apology. She was more annoyed with us than anything. Never going back.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Atmosphere was pleasant. Service was great quick and accommodating. Definitely recommend the whisky salmon. The beer selection are varied.

Yelp
Jay at this location was amazing! He was attentive and personable. Drinks and food came out without too much of a wait. It was pretty hot out today and was extremely busy due to a baseball game. We didn't originally plan to visit this location but were in town for the weekend and wanted to check out The Battery. The food was delicious! They have a good selection of beer on tap. The dining area was pretty spacious. Since there was a game going on, parking was $40. Taking an uber would have probably been smart depending on location.

Yelp
Samantha was our delightful server. We came for happy hour. That menu is full sized plates for 1/2. Our waitress made the trip a blessing. She catered to our every need. She even brought the manager to our table for us to greet him and him to meet us. She liked my cool Yelp pin on my hat. This is the FIRST time that I put a picture of a server in a review. The chicken tenders that I ordered were crispy and meaty. She suggested a creamy Chaurasia sauce. It was good.

Yelp
Spent the evening with my sis on her bday enjoyed the spicy Jambalaya small. Couldn't finish it. Because I got Voodoo mango juicy ipa 1/2 yard & it was good & filling on its own. The spice was a nice medium humm & flavor made me excited to eat. Our service though was a bit lacking. Took a long time to get the beer I ordered. I ate apps & food arrived the beer was brought afterwards. The inside was loud & like a bar but with multiple tables. As per usual busy, busy, busy.
google avatar

Quention A.

Yelp
Second time eating here. Both times I have gotten the fish and chips. Great fish, batter, dipping sauce, and slaw. Good service. It has become a tradition now when to see a Braves game.

Anna G.

Yelp
Slow service. Mac and cheese is so bad. It's a fancy chicken mac and cheese that has almost no chicken in and and tastes way way to strong of truffle. Don't order unless you are addicted to drinking truffle oil. Told the waitress I didn't like the mac and cheese and she said that no one ever likes it and should've warned me not to get it. But didn't comp it or anything so taking it for my garbage disposable of a husband to take as leftovers for lunch. Also the music is a tad too loud.
google avatar

Elizabeth Y.

Yelp
Came here with my husband for a bit before the baseball game. We split the bacon bbq burger and Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Both meals were super tasty, and came out pretty quick! The hostesses could have been warmer and less dismissive when seating guests but the service was attentive and kind. It is very busy during a game day so make sure to join the waitlist!

Sonia N.

Yelp
We dined in during all star week. It was so busy and packed yet got us in rather quickly after receiving a 35-45 min wait time, seemed like we only waited 20 min. We ordered 10 Crispy Traditional Wings, Onion Ring Tower, and Traditional Caesar salad. We got our traditional wings half buffalo and half Korean chili garlic. The Korean chili garlic flavor was DELICIOUS! The buffalo was good but when we return we would get all ten Korean chili garlic flavor. Love that the Caesar salad comes with a big portion for a starter salad. The beer battered onion ring tower is a MUST try!! The service is great!! Atmosphere was a good vibe with tv screens everywhere with good music playing as well. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family!

Yelp
Yard house was a fantastic place to celebrate a birthday! Loved the yard long beers, as well as the gumbo (which surprised me with the perfect amount of heat and good proportions of protein and veg). The seared tuna burger was the star, and had an amazing sauce that set off the freshness of the fish well. The free dessert was a brownie topped with ice cream, very generous. I'd definitely come back to celebrate another time!
google avatar

Monique M.

Yelp
Everything was really good!! The lettuce wrap was a little salty but good. I would definitely recommend the chicken tortilla soup. That was some of the best soups that I've had ever!!! So delicious and tasty!! The cosmo was good too!

Yelp
Not many restaurants can step into the ring with the heavyweight champ of happy hours--Yard House! Their 1/2 off select apps deal is a total knockout. Yard House is out here biting ears and landing uppercuts like it's a one-round fight. I went in ready to rumble and ordered the Brussels sprouts, spinach dip, and calamari. If my stomach had room for more, I'd have gone full-on "(Wo)Man vs. Food" and tried everything on the menu. The vibe? A notch above your average bar and grill--cute, upscale, and perfect for a night out. This particular location at The Battery is a real winner. Plus, my server was super pleasant, which just added to the experience. If you're not hitting up Yard House for happy hour, what are you even doing?

Yelp
After traveling all day, I took the advice of the hotel to come eat here for a late lunch. They weren't too busy yet. Michael was my waiter, and I asked how the filet was. He highly recommended it. I'm so glad I got it because even though it took over 30 mins for it to come out, everything on the plate was seasoned perfectly and oh so good! The manager came by and asked how my steak was also. Had couple iced teas and they were also tasty. Nice spot to come eat and hang out. It is really loud so not an intimate date night. All in all I'd come again. Easy walk from the hotel.
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
So I've been here twice since I've moved to Atlanta, service is "meh" but food is fire, especially the burgers and calamari.
google avatar

Doug L.

Yelp
Service. Our waitress was so attentive. 5 Chicken nachos. They were made perfectly. So tasty with a little crisp. 5 Margarita pizza. Had a funny sauce on it. Almost a little bbq ish. 3

Yelp
Awesome food - a bit loud. Great location and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable and right next to ballpark entrance at the Battery!
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Service was nice. The restaurant was a bit loud, but there's also a game today and a concert tonight. Apps came out fast and mains came out as we finished apps. Waited until we finished eating to order dessert--we were almost too full for it. The only downside were the restrooms. Apparently every restroom was out of order.

Yelp
I will say, I was a little disappointed in my experience at Yard House. Not necessarily because of the service, the service was pretty solid. We had Ryan and he seemed to be a veteran at this restaurant. However, the food wasn't my favorite. I will say the brussel sprouts had a great flavor, especially because of the aioli sauce that was added. I highly recommend getting that as an appetizer. I do wish they were crispier as that is how it was advertised. They had very little to no crisp. But as stated, the flavor was pretty on point! The pizza, however, was not my favorite at all. I do not recommend getting that as it didn't live up to the expectations of what a margharetia pizza is. It lacked flavor of the basil & tomato. Because this locations is at the battery outside Truist Park, I think going to grab a quick beer & an appetizer before and or after the games would be your best bet! During off season, parking was free for the first 0-2 hours, $10 for 2-4 hours and I believe it went up in about $5-$10 increments after that. Overall, pretty average restaurant.
google avatar

Amara L.

Yelp
Went here after the Cash Cobain/Ice Spice concert and we were seated very quickly! It was a week night, so it wasn't particularly crowded. I ordered the wings and my friend ordered a burger. My wings were very tasty and cooked well! I got the buffalo and lemon pepper flavors! They were both really good! I also got the truffle fries, which a personal favorite, and they were also very good. It's very dark inside of Yard House, which sort of gives it a cool vibe compared to some other chain restaurants! I liked it! Great place for casual eats that aren't too casual.
google avatar

Lynn B.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our experience at Yard House. Without a reservation, we added our name to the list for a party of six. While we waited, we were immediately served at the walk-up bar. Less than twenty minutes of arriving, we were seated in the crowded restaurant. We were heading to a Braves game, as many patrons were and we received our orders quickly. Waiter checked in the appropriate amount of times. Poke nachos were really good. Steak bowl was okay, too.

Yelp
I've visited yard house in different cities and i love them all. Since i was in LBC we sat outside and enjoyed the ambiance of the boats and the marina. The service was a little slow but nothing to complain about. But the star of the show is always the food. I've never had a bad meal.

Ray S.

Yelp
This food has to be the worst food I have had and my wife in a long time. I ordered chicken tenders ( cus how can you mess that up ) well they did. The frys were terrible also, everything tasted old, my wife had the orange chicken, the rice she received was over cooked and had hard rice pieces. The check tasted like my tenders with Sauce . Do yourself a favor DONT EAT HERE
google avatar

Yelp
We Visited Yard House before a Braves night game. It is a typical sports bar with indoor and outdoor seating. The view is electric with people gathering right outside the gate for the game. We had spinach dip/chips for appetizer. I found it dry and not hot. I would not order it again. For entree I had a turkey club sandwich. There was 2" of turkey (I removed over 1/2 of it) on the sandwich. The sweet potato fries that you pay an up charge to substitute were cold. The server brought us another order that was delicious and hot! The beer menu was huge but two of the selections I ordered were out of stock. The convenience to the stadium was the best part but I would try another of the many restaurants in The Battery next time.
google avatar

Phoebe T.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a friend after walking around the battery and it was my 3rd time here. The food here is really good. Pricey for lunch, but good. I got a steak bowl and the steak was incredible - possibly the best steak I had all year and that includes those fancy steak houses (you know who you are!). Service was great and on point and I love the ambiance in and out of this place- the battery is such a fun place to walk around. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
I'm changing my 2 star review to 4 stars. I've recently had the THAI GRILLED PORK CHOP twice in the last 2 weeks and it was consistently delicious! Even my husband had it and he loved it! THAI GRILLED PORK CHOP, which is a 11oz bone-in, basil cilantro cauliflower "fried rice" with mushrooms, snap peas, bok choy, carrots, red onion, baby broccoli, spicy honey sauce, crispy garlic. The bartenders were friendly and kept our beverages cold which is a plus for us! We will definitely be coming back for this dish!
google avatar

Nino R.

Yelp
It's rare that I write reviews for big box chains but I'm making an exception here because I had a great time. The food was good. The server was friendly, fast and attentive and the facilities were well maintained considering the time of day and week (weekend late night). The only reason I'm not giving the full 5 stars is because there was a massive wet spot on the floor across from the service bar that wasn't addressed and lost my footing on. I told a bartender about it and the spot was still there as my group and I left 45 minutes later. But if you don't know Yard House then just know it's like the Target of sports bars. Dozens of beers on tap. Every kind of pub food you can think of. TVs galore and a kitchen the size of most drive thru McDonald's lol. Seriously...
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
The Brussels sprouts were the redeeming factor of my meal. Yard house is always a solid choice for a place to eat but I was disappointed this time. I initially ordered the chicken sandwich with avocado and the chicken was so salty that I could not eat it. I tried to push through but I ended up sending it back to the kitchen and ordering a couple of appetizers instead. The truffle fries were decent, they weren't anywhere near hot but I ate them because I was very hungry at that point. The Brussels sprouts were quite good which was a nice switch up at that point. They had a sweet glaze with a hint of spicy that paired nicely with the sauce. I will definitely start with these the next time I visit yard house.
google avatar

Bridgette F.

Yelp
It was super crowded but a short wait time. Our waitress was great and very attentive. It's tricky to order a grilled cheese and tomato soup at a restaurant because it's a simple dish but it was so good. The sporty vibe is an added bonus.
google avatar

Imani S.

Yelp
This is my first time coming to this particular YardHouse. I think I had a better time than in Atlantic Station. All around the service was better and I enjoyed myself at the bar just doing me and relaxing. I came for happy hour and ate my favorite, Ahi Poke Nachos. Best in town when it's fresh and just on point. I love when they don't skimp on the tuna so you have a piece for every bite. Good Job YardHouse!

Simon D.

Yelp
Starting off, the wait time was incredibly long. 30 minutes outside the restaurant, 20 minutes waiting to get a table, and 40 minutes just to get food. If you are wondering, that adds up to 1 hour and 30 minutes. By the time me and my family got our food, we were wondering if we should just leave. The restaurant looks rather nice, with plenty of colorful decor. The fries were quite good, but the burger was slightly cold and around average diner quality. We think the food was sitting there for at least 10 minutes before it was delivered to us because it was like warm when it got to us.
google avatar

Meredith C.

Yelp
Good food!! We got spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and chicken tenders and Korean bbq as meals and it was all delicious! They say they have the most beer taps and they aren't kidding! So many choices. We ended up both getting wine though. I saw another review that it was too dark. It was pretty dark but we didn't have any problems reading the menu. They played loud classic rock music but it wasn't too loud. They also have TVs to watch sports. They said it was going to be around a 40 minute wait but it ended up being around an hour. They take your phone number to let you know when the table is ready so we were able to leave to wait. Only giving 4 stars because the service was very slow. Our waitress was great at first but then once we got our food, we went a very long time without even seeing her.
google avatar

Ada S.

Yelp
This place is a typical sports bar except they are always out of beer that is on the menu. Come in expecting they won't have what you want. The food on the other hand isn't bad, it's a step above bar food but not amazing. The wings and burgers are actually really good and I recommend those. This place gets pretty busy, it's in the heart of the battery. I park in the purple deck and it's free for 2 hours. Service is also slow but the servers are nice
google avatar

Ashlynn W.

Yelp
This wasn't the original place we wanted to eat at, but it was a good second! The food was pretty good, but the portions are HUGE! You will need to split meals without a doubt and some of the appetizers are even bigger. It was a little over whelming. Me and my BF shared and it ended up being $60 for everything. The service wasn't amazing, but they were super busy so I'd assume it was from that. We didn't know so I'm sharing. You're able to order food, drinks and other things from the little tablet they have on the table! I think it's a new thing as I've never seen it at a restaurant. Ambiance - loud and packed!! They were all ready for the Atlanta Braves games on the TV. Before that, I was jamming to their killer playlist haha. Parking: we walked so not entirely sure, but we saw tons of parking garages around The Battery.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
I came for a work lunch after playing at the Escape Room. We parked in the red parking deck. It's the closest to the restaurant. It was free for 3 hours after it was $10 for 4 hours. The restaurant was busy. They pushed together tables for us. Our party was about 12 people. We had one server. She was attentive. She took our orders quickly and was able to submit our app requests with a device at the table. We received our apps first. Spinach dip, calamari, onion ring tower. My favorite was the spinach dip. It came in a skillet with chips. The calamari came with tartar sauce and marinara. It was decent - not the best, not the worst, but good . The onion ring tower was ok too. It had two sauces too. One that was like a ranch, the other I'm not sure. It seemed mayo base. For my lunch, I ordered the crunchy ahí tuna salad. It was good. Next time I'll get the dressing on the side. I felt like the salad toppings were hard to find. I would come back. I think it is perfect for team outings. The menu is a bit overwhelming similar to Cheesecake Factory.

Ray N.

Yelp
This place was fine, not spectacular. Service was friendly but a little overwhelmed. Beer was good and food was typical for a brew pub.
google avatar

Shelby S.

Yelp
Yard House is one of our go-to's! We love the drinks and apps! I am gluten free and they have an extensive and safe menu to choose from (including drinks). The service is always good, sometimes slow but I've never been in a rush. It's a little bit on the louder side so good for friends and watching a game.
google avatar

Lexi R.

Yelp
Decor Located near Truist Park/ The Battery. It's a sports bar setting. Drinks The drinks definitely weren't all fancy, made up, or even garnished, hay it's a sports bar , but they were really good and will definitely have you buzzed. Feel free to come in and catch the game and grab a beer because this is just the setting to do so. Food The dishes here expressed many variations of flavor, and I enjoyed the diversity but the delivery was not the best. The Hawaiian chicken plate was just not what I expected and quite honestly was not that good. Stick to what you know and are comfortable with while eating here.

One V.

Yelp
Food- always fresh & good Service has been good & it could depend on whom you get Love the ambiance! Hey it's in the Battery We love it here!!!!
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
Came here to watch some football on a Sunday afternoon. Gotta love all the tvs around to see whatever game you want. I had the pepperoni and mushroom and pizza and it was good. There's a great beer selection to give Taco Mac a run for its money. Lots of food options on the menu so there should be something for everyone.

Daniel G.

Yelp
The service is honestly mediocre at best and slightly bad at worst. The biggest issue is the speed of the service, but that's probably to be expected when you're right outside of a busy baseball stadium. The food is honestly mediocre and overpriced, but your ambiance is already great because you're right outside of a baseball game and in a bar that matches that tone. The only other big downside I'll point out is that the managers seem to be very greedy and can be a bit of a pain with the free parking validation and the servers and bartenders can easily too overwhelmed to take care of you. A lot of these issues should already be expected from this type of area, so that bumps up my rating from 2 stars to 3.
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
Delicious! Our group of 7 (3 were children) stopped by for lunch and a drink. Hostess was friendly, said it would be a 20 minute wait or we could be seated right away in a booth. Our group sat comfortably in a booth and were able to order quickly. The wait for our meals wasn't too long. Most of the servers were generally nice. Food was delicious! I had the house cheesesteak sandwich and it definitely exceeded my expectations. My husband tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and I was impressed - it was good! My son loved his cheese pizza from the kid's menu. Restaurant was clean and the restrooms were clean as well.
google avatar

Vi G.

Yelp
It was a gorgeous day to sit outside. Unfortunately around 12/1pm - outside seating wasn't open The firecracker shrimps were amazing. They sat on top of a rice cake. The shrimps were large & filled with flavor. The red pepper threads were a bit annoying, could of been best without them. The Lobster Garlic noodles - loaded w/ flavors. Wished they added more lobster pieces. Our server - Chris. He was fun. Took our order w/o - pen & paper. Shock hands & said if he messed up on the order, it'll be on him. And he sure as hell didn't mess up!
google avatar

Patrick D.

Yelp
The service was pretty bad. Both beers had bad pours. The salad was a bit soggy. They brought the wrong plate. Waited close to 20 minutes for creamer and sugar for the hot tea(no photo). Another few minutes for the ketchup. The sandwich was the best thing of the night. Parking is next door in a garage so there is a small walk. First three hours free. There seemed to be plenty of seating but there was a wait time. Maybe not enough workers. There are no plans on returning again. Tutulu

Yelp
Fun place for drinks if Braves are playing. Always good food, atmosphere and service. Recommended.

Yelp
Overall a huge disappointment! Food was not tasty and some dishes didn't have all the ingredients like missing bacon, mushrooms, panko. The chicken in the mac N cheese tasted funky. The bunless burger came with the wrong cheese on it, so sent it back for the correct one, as we were checking out the brought it finally, but that was too late, so they took it off the bill. Service was slow and distracted. There are other restaurants in this complex, you should go try.
google avatar

Jasmine M.

Yelp
This place is great when it's not during baseball season. You can order at the table and service is pretty quick
google avatar

Sam R.

Yelp
Food, drinks, and service exceeded expectations with a great view of the Braves stadium! Highly recommend the firecracker shrimp and sweet potato fries as an appetizer. For mains we had the poke salad and the sweet & spicy shrimp noodles which are delicious but spicy spicy just FYI!
