What is a quick bite of food after a show with the Midland. The ambience was very busy but good and clean. The wait was only 15 minutes. The order consisted of a truffle burger with Parm fries, fontina, vodka noodle, steak salad, lobster, pasta, with wings. The waiter was sitting and brought an extra drink didn't bring other items that were needed, but we gave Grace. They were really busy. Can't wait to go again. The food was awesome. The bill was 147.

We went here before a show at the Midland theater and it was perfect we did get here a little old person early so that helped. The food the service the atmosphere everything worked out fantastic. Big props to Cyrus. Got the hummus it was great, a little heat and the bread was kind of like a pita pizza crust with spices and junk super good. Got the filet definitely worth it, medium rare was medium rare, veggies good mashed potatoes were buttery. Mrs got the Thai pork chop and loved it. When we're back in KC will definitely be coming back.

Google
Everything was amazing! The watermelon margarita was phenomenal! 10/10! Tylor was my server and he went above and beyond! The manager came up to me and was very professional, polite & went above and beyond as well to make sure my experience was great! I went on 09/03 & will 100% be returning in the nearby future!

Google
Good food but nothing too special. The burger was decent but slightly small. Was honestly not impressed with the fries, both the sweet potato and regular. The indoor seating area is quite large, there is rarely a wait to be seated. It was cold inside, maybe bring a light jacket or sweater. The food took a while to come out but our server was extremely nice throughout our visit.

Stopped in for lunch on Labor Day. Ordered the Poke nachos for myself, and the sirloin steak off of the kids menu. Poke nachos were good. The chips were light and flavorful, and the toppings were just right. The kids steak was super reasonable at $10.99 as well. Then the hot fudge oreo sundae off of the kids menu was only $1.99. Really great value on the kids menu prices. Elijah waited on us and was really attentive and super nice! Quality food and good service. Very solid. Especially for a chain! Will be back.

Google
Great atmosphere and all the food is great. This location this day was way over crowded from an event. Bar was overloaded. Even with this they all did great. No complaints! Happy hour is way to go.

Google
Atmosphere, the yard was good problem is the service was subpar server was upset, throwing stuff in the well and I can hear it seem like customers are inconveniencing her. This was on a Monday. like an inconvenience and then Food was definitely low-grade. I ordered calamari and as you can see the pictures the cheapest calamari on the market. They need to step it up if they’re gonna be compete with real brands who try to appease And satisfy the customers.

Google
Wow, we stumbled into this spot not knowing anything about it. The food was great, service exceptional, and the beer offerings had 116 taps available, including some great local beers.

Yelp
Traveling back from a college visit and looking for a quick stop on a Saturday night and only a 15 minute wait. They have a lot of seating! Staff was quick and attentive and love the option to order from your table as well if you choose. Pretty much everything was amazing including appetizers and main courses.

Yelp
Visited with friends the evening of The Brandy and Monica concert! We got there at 4:45p and didn't have a wait. Our server was friendly and helpful! Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Miguel's Queso Dip was really good! It had flavor and wasn't basic. Definitely 9/10. I really enjoyed the Szechuan Crispy Beef Noodles. You get a lot for what you pay for. Easily 2-3 servings. The Espresso Martini was on point! Nice atmosphere for both girl's, family and date night. I've been to Yard House before and the food and service was good then. Will come back for sure.

Yelp
My friends and I needed a quick pre-show dinner near the Midland theater and Yard House totally came through! Spicy edamame: The perfect girls' dinner starter. Just the right kick. Spicy tuna stack: Super fresh. I ended up deconstructing it just to get to that amazing tuna. Fried calamari: Crispy, saucy, and gone in minutes. Espresso martini: Shockingly good (and well-priced for P&L). I had two. No regrets. The vibe was energetic with lots of folks out for a concert or comedy show, lights were low, and definitely felt a notch above your usual Yard House. Prices were so reasonable for the P&L district, and service was fast even without a reservation on a Saturday night. Final verdict: 10/10 Yard House saved the night with great food, drinks, and convenience. Perfect spot before a show or event in P&L!

Yelp
I tried to sneak in and have a quick meal while in town for my bestie's wedding and surprise surprise they joined me! The food was delicious, service amazingly pleasant and the place was clean. Definitely made my first night in KC enjoyable and we got to catch up over some nice drinks. I always enjoy the salmon with broccolini and this location's was so tasty.

Yelp
Yardhouse menu is extensive and has something to offer for everyone one. The Servers are always friendly and knowledgeable. The dining room is large and accommodating. There's Tvs everywhere and many beers on taps. I don't need anything else when I come here.

Yelp
Everything was great. We stumbled in on a Monday afternoon around 2:30, about 30 minutes early for happy hour, sadly we were hungry and ordered anyway, but if you can I would recommend waiting cause their happy hour prices are great! The cheese curds were the best thing we had, I didn't care for the sauces though but I know my husband liked them both! He got the you pick 3 taco flight. I got the club - which was great, very large and tall, I had to take some of the food off to be able to fit it in my mouth. My sweet potato fries were eh, I wouldn't get them again for the up charge. Nice large restaurant, clean, and service was great, great location! Make reservations if you can especially on the nights and weekend!

Yelp
Finally was able to get in to the elusive Yard House. Feel every time we try to get in when we visit from out of time they are out of tables or line is insanely long. They had a great variety of beers for anyone's liking. The Truffle Cheese burger was so juicy that is was somewhat messy but I like sauce with my food. The main item that sold me was the cheese curds. They are like clouds of cheese in a basket. The breading was incredible, the cheese was tasty. They include hot honey with it that just takes it to the top. The service we had was great as well. The inside of Yardhouse is a futuristic sports bar vibe that I would love to go back to, if I can get in!

Yelp
Came here because it was close to our hotel at the convention center, but it did not disappoint. You can order from the electronic pad on the table, but our server Lafleur was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food, so we just gave him our order. The pad is fun because you can look at pictures of the food, though. Their specialty is more types of beer than you could taste in a month of drinking, of course, but the food's good, too. I recommend the spicy tuna stack appetizer if you're ok with hot food (go with the ahi tuna if not). The lettuce chicken wrap is also a starter, but that and the tuna was plenty for me. Mary had the Cobb salad with Salmon and proclaimed it was "wonderful," and says the salmon was just perfect, not overcooked. I also had the midnight Sangria, which I liked. Only downside: a bit noisy. If that's a problem for you, try a night when it's not busy.

Yelp
We were in town for a concert for our boys and had dinner at the yard house. The atmosphere was comfortable and the greeters and our server were all friendly. Service was ok. We did some ordering on the kiosk at the table and I ran out of water and was not able to get a refill. Food was ok; my steak was undercooked even after I sent it back to the kitchen so I didn't really eat it. We had an appetizer of the pretzel with beer cheese which was IPA which I did not care for; the presentation was good. The rest of my family liked their food. We had drinks; mine was very yummy! I think this place would be great for drinks and appetizers!

Yelp
Not expecting a lot, we decided to stop into the Yard House for our first dinner in KC. It's a sports bar with lots of TVs, but the clientele were restrained and nice and the food was unanticipatedly high quality. Our server was great. I had the smoked old-fashioned which was awesome, and a generous glass of white wine. We also had a couple of pizzas, a kale caesar salad, and sweet potato fries. Very nice, food came out quickly, and we took away some leftovers. Would return to this place.

Yelp
The ambiance was very nice and busy! 100% a place to check out in the heart of KC! The food was delicious including the drinks as well which was a classic margarita!
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped by this place to watch the sporting kc game last night. The atmosphere was vibey and I enjoyed the dimmed lights. When looking at the menu, there was a ton of different items so we decided to get two appetizers to try out! We got the pretzel with cheese and mustard, and boneless buffalo chicken. The pretzel was great and very tasty along with the sauces it came with! On the other hand, this place definitely doesn't have great wings. The buffalo sauce was beyond spicy. That is usually my go to order at places with wings and these just did not meet our standards. But, the service was great and I would go back to try other food they have to offer!

Yelp
Yes, it's a chain, but it's a welcome sight to see! Quality food, and plenty to drink! This location In Kansas City, has great employees!

Yelp
Nice enough place. Jubilant atmosphere- perfect after we saw Sarah Silverman at The Midland, which is just a couple of blocks away. Easy walk even in the freezing cold! We ordered basic stuf- a BLT with turkey and avocado, and chicken tenders. Everything was good but nothing special. They do have a big menu with more interesting items, but we were just in the mood for bar food. They also have a giant selection of beer. Our waiter Raphael was very good. I was disappointed that my Diet Coke wasn't very carbonated, but he did give it to me at no charge to apologize, so that was very nice. I probably wouldn't make a trip back here on purpose but if I'm in the area again, I would visit it and try something more exciting from the menu.

Yelp
Omg, I've heard so many great things about their happy hour and I'm so glad I got to try it! Omg, first of all.. their drinks are top tier! Every drink was perfectly crafted and reasonably priced.. and to top all of that.. gorgeous, haha! Selected apps were half off so that allows you to try different dishes. I tried the chicken nachos, which came in a humungous plate. I ate about a quarter of them, but they were fully loaded. I'd just add some type of queso to them, but they didn't have that as an option. I also tried the sliders and truffle parm fries.. and omg. The buns were perfectly pillowy and soft and the fries had the perfect amount of flavor. I cannot recommend this place enough. My server, Jacob, was amazing and made my first experience here everything I looked forward to. I will most definitely be back!

Yelp
When you're starving but still won't just eat anything. Stopped in for a quick fuel and our table ordered small apps: 1- Fried Calamari 2- Miguel's Queso Dip 3- Traditional wings/Buffalo sauce 4- Parm Truffle fries Everyone was happy with their choice only I couldn't eat the calamari as it was very rubbery soooo I was able to replace it with firecracker shrimp. Now those were perfectly cooked tempura shrimp covered in plenty of sweet chili sriracha sauce! Our waiter was very busy, quick but not absent!
google avatar

Yelp
The server seemed to rush us off - brought the bill while we were still in the middle of eating dinner without asking if we wanted anything else. Atmosphere is fun as long as you don't mind louder places. They were out of 2 of the Oktoberfest beers which was a bummer. We all thought our food seemed overpriced. I got the shrimp bowl which was $22 & only came with 5 medium sized shrimp on it. One person at our table didn't get his food until almost 5 minutes after everyone else did. However, the cheese curds & truffle fries were very tasty!

PhuonG

Yelp
Unlimited choices of drink, I feel like. They also rotate their drinks options. The food is awesome, their seasoning is great and food fusion is creative.

Yelp
We ate here for dinner on our anniversary trip. It was pretty packed but the service was phenomenal!! I had the house flight to drink and my husband had an ace cider. Drinks were great! The pretzel appetizer was my favorite food we got. My husband ordered the carnivore pizza and overall it was good but floppy in the center. My ahi tuna dinner was disappointing because the rice was so hard and undercooked. The tuna itself was hard to chew and didn't "melt" in my mouth like this dish usually does when I get it other places. I'm not sure if it was a bad cut from the fish or what.
google avatar

Susanne M.

Yelp
Always very busy & usually good service anyway. Food is great & drinks are cold. I wish it wasn't as crowded & loud but on a weekend during Xmas - expect that. Love the appetizer menu so much it's hard to get a meal
google avatar

Manuel G.

Yelp
If you want a lively, sports bar/restaurant, this place is worth checking out. I appreciate that they list the nutrition facts like calories on the menu. It helps keep me on track with my diet. I tried the poké nachos, which were surprisingly good! The sauce on the nachos was super flavorful. I only wish the portion size was a bit bigger. If you're hungry enough, that dish won't be sufficient. I had ordered some fries after that to fill my tank. The fries were ok in terms of flavor and texture, but they were a little more on the heavy side.
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
It is a decent enough place to go with a bigger groups. We were celebrating an anniversary, a graduation, and an engagement. Our server Bethann was the perfect server for us. She was funny and knowledgeable and nice. The food itself was basic not earth shattering good but not bad. Somewhere in the middle. We got 2 types of pizzas, calamari, chicken tenders, a club, Korean bbq steak sandwich (our least favorite so salty), tomato bisque with grilled cheese, fries and desserts and lots of cocktails. We would go back but more for a bar night out rather than a special evening out.

Yelp
So initially we had plans to try another restaurant in the downtown KC area but decided to go to the Yard House instead. I had been to the Yard House before in another city so I knew the food would be good. We didn't have to worry about parking since we walked from our hotel, but I only saw street parking. For food we ordered two appetizers, fried calamari, and hot & spicy edamame, both were delicious. I love seafood so for my entrée, I ordered the lobster garlic noodles which came with a generous portion of main lobster, shrimp, mushrooms, spinach, and parmesan. The noodles were delicious!! They were flavorful and full of meat, I was shocked because normally when I order a dish with seafood, I don't get very much of it. Our server was very nice, and she made sure we had refills as needed. We were there on a Wednesday evening, and I felt like we received our food within good timing, and it wasn't too noisy! If you're ever in the downtown area and looking for a place to eat that's walking distant from the Marriott, I recommend stopping by!
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
Both locations in Kansas City are great, but the one downtown is night to have a snack/meal before seeing a movie or a concert downtown. Huge bar for first come first serve which is nice to take a chance if you don't have reservations. Everything is great on the menu but if you show up for happy hour it's half priced apps and all great deals! Probably the best cheese curds in the city hands down.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
I am purposely dropping my rating from a previous 5 stars to 4 stars based on today's experience. The lunch crowd was almost out the door, and people waiting for a table were looking hungry. We were fortunate to see a couple leaving the bar, and we took their seats. Service then turned slow, we waited 5 minutes before I flagged down a bartender, and he took the food and drink orders. I had the same exact dish from 2.5 years ago, and it didn't disappoint me. Missouri is now allowed to serve Yuengling beer, and this made a huge difference with how the meal tasted. The food was delicious, as was the beer. If it wasn't for the slow start, this would have been a 5 star rating.
google avatar

Fabian S.

Yelp
We love going to Yard House during Happy Hour, they have a great food at great prices. The service has always been great here. Every time we visit it's steady to busy but we're usually seated pretty quickly. There's always large crowds, the place gets a good vibe. They have a huge selection of beer on tap which is awesome
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
Sunday lunch at the kcmo location, the place was pretty slow and had a lot of seating available but we chose the bar for beer and lunch. The bar was a little on dirty side but they did end up wiping it off. The food we ordered was delicious and warm, bbq chicken salad and the Korean cheesesteak.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
I dined here twice while in KC for a convention. I like that they were able to accommodate groups of various sizes (including a group of ten). That's because the large, high ceiling space had a variety of seating options (booths, high tables, low tables and bar seating). The menu had a wide variety of options so it is great for group dining where you might have a variety of tastes. There is a great variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, sides and entrees. J had the ahi tuna nachos and one of the in house ciders on my first visit. The nachos had a generous amount of tuna on them and provided a great mix of flavor with every bite. I ordered them without one of they sauces so I did ask for extra of the other which made it more complete. Others in our party had salads, salmon, a burger and other appetizers. Everyone was really happy with both flavors and portion size. On my second visit I had the ahi tuna salad. It was perfection. A great combination of crunch and flavor. It was also a huge portion and they didn't skimp on tuna. I'm used to asking for extra dressy for salads but this seemed to offer the perfect balance. I had a smoked old fashion as my drink and every sip was wonderful. Having the smoker removed at the table provided a fun visual and gave the drink a ton of flavor. Service was wonderful both visits. Attentive but not intrusive and very knowledgeable about the menu. When it came time for the bill it was provided electronically and it was very easy to split among the multiple parties which was convenient and efficient. The one downside is that they were out of many of their seasonal beers. I get it, it was the end of October. But the first three beers I ordered were out. I wish they had a better way to update their menu. Overall a great restaurant experience I'd recommend to anyone.
google avatar

Gina S.

Yelp
Absolute worst service at this location today and it wasn't even very crowded. I've decided not to share his name, however, if the restaurant contacts me I'll provide his name. The food was ok. Drinks (non alcoholic) were served and refills took forever and only water refills come with ice. Not one person in our group received ice for their tea refills, it became a joke at the table that ice must be upon request. Upon arrival they attempted to seat the 9 of us (all adults) in a booth, I had to ask to be seated at tables and it's clear the hostess was annoyed. We even had to push some of the tables ourselves. We ate well so great job on the cooks but this location needs to work desperately on its front house. Update- members of our party ended up with food poisoning!

Tasnim A.

Yelp
Great food, loved the ahi tuna and tomato bisque. Can't go wrong with any of the bowls I had the shrimp one and it was good.
google avatar

Steph H.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been to YardHouse so I went for happy hour. I ordered the boneless wings, calamari, and poke nacho. Personally the calamari wasn't as crispy as I wanted it to be which was a bummer. The poke nacho didn't have enough sauce or flavor so it wasn't as good as I remember. I would recommend the boneless wings, chicken nacho, and sliders if you're planning to come for happy hour. This YardHouse is pretty big and spacious. The ambiance is very dark and rustic. The service was good and attentive.
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
Always a good spot. I have been to several and this one doesn't disappoint. Stopped in for happy hour. 1/2 price apps and drink specials. Service was good. No complaints there. Happy hour crowd was light which helped with our large party.
google avatar

Yelp
We went there before an event downtown, it was completely packed. The wait time was about 30 minutes, but definitely worth it. I got a burger and it was pretty good, nothing to write home about but the service is what stood out. Our waiter was exceptional. Really fun place. If you're going to watch a sports game as well, we watched the Kentucky Derby there.

Yelp
Upon entering this place, it was immediately clear to me that tonight was going to be OUTSTANDING. I promptly sat at the bar and began ordering drinks endlessly. To put it bluntly, I became so drunk I couldn't tell if my hand in front of me was actually a hand or a cows utters spewing milk from every pore. Realizing that my stay was coming to an end, I fumbled for my wallet. That is when I put two and two together and remembered I am homeless and DO NOT have said wallet. Panicking on how I was going to pay my immense tab, I swiftly started to peer around at my subordinates to attempt to locate potential victims. I the spotted a fellow in a corner downing shots at a world record pace. (The only person larger than him was myself.) That being said, I was confident in my ability to assert dominance over this man. I then proceeded to do so. Waiting for just the right moment, I lunged at his wide neck and pinned it to the floor. Both being inexplicably drunk, it took us a while to find each other's eyes. After we did, I could sense the fear radiating off of him. His face was so purple, and I could tell that little to no blood was getting to his intoxicated brain. I used this to my advantage and used one of his empty shot glasses as a projectile. Throwing the shot glass in his face, he crumbled and went limp. I could tell it hit him enough to black him out for the time being. Using my immense arms, I heaved him on his back and snatched his wallet out of his pocket. To my upmost infuriation, this act did not go unnoticed as I hoped. Many people were hurling threats at me. Knowing I had very little time, I used the rest of his numerable shot glass again as ammo. Nailing all who threaten my dominance, the bartender was shaking like a little girl. Feeling no need to pay, I took his wallet and left. Still being drunk, I passed out on the sidewalk right outside of Yard House. Waking up days later, I've had the time to reminisce on my experience and have decided that my actions were completely and more than justified. The drinks were so amazing and definitely put me into a different reality. This place serves as not only a mental pick-me-up but also a physical and spiritual one as well. For this reason alone, I hand over 5 stars.
google avatar

Brent B.

Yelp
The wait staff was good. The beer selection. The food was tasteless and expensive. The bathrooms were clean. The art work and murals were entertaining. I had the house cheesesteak sandwich w onion rings. My date had the blackened shrimp tacos. The shrimp were not blackened but were breaded. The cheesesteaks was generous and acceptable. The onion rings tasted like greasy cardboard. Too many other dining options in the P&L district to ever return.

Yelp
Best service and food! Great prices and have always had excellent experiences when we are there. I would highly recommend the Korean wings and Cobb salad!
google avatar

Marissa S.

Yelp
For a chain, the happy hour deals here are pretty great. A large majority of the appetizers, and pizzas are half-priced, plus most drinks are $2 off during happy hour (3-6pm). Note, although they're half-priced they come out full size, so don't make the mistake we did and order wayyy too much food lol. Favorite apps include, the fried calamari, classic sliders w/fries, chicken tenders, and wings. You can honestly make a whole meal out of the starters alone. The cocktail and beer menus are decent - I've only ordered a Hawaiian mule, and mojito off the cocktail list and a handful of draft beers which were tasty, but I'm intrigued by the different margarita flavors. The half-yard is comical to drink out of, and $4 off during happy hour. The restaurant itself is huge, with tvs scattered around the walls and bar area, and music playing. It wasn't too busy on the week nights we've visited, but I'm sure a weekend here is decently busy.

Yelp
Apparently this is the place to be on a Friday night in Kansas City. Around 5:30pm the place was packed and a table for two was averaging almost a 2 hour wait. The bar was first come first serve and with a little finagling we found two chairs and squeezed them in right in time to catch the end of happy hour. I was interested in the hard kombucha and was able to try a sample before ordering a full drink. I got a pint. It was $2 off for HH. They had plenty of people working the bar area and they all kind of pitched in to take orders, refill, clear plates etc. For food we got chicken lettuce wraps, pizza and calamari. The food was all brought out at different times. Lettuce wraps were good but the original lettuce they served with it didn't look the best. I asked for a replacement and they brought me out some fresh pieces. The calamari wasn't very good to me. It wasn't hot and the few pieces I ate were super chewy. Wouldn't reorder. The pizza was decent. Thin and hot. The food overall isn't anything special but I'm sticking with a 4 rating because again the happy hour 1/2 off apps is a good deal and although being extremely busy the service was great.

Yelp
We always come to Yard House when we find one on our travels. Big fan of all the food and drinks. The Miguel's Queso is one of our favorite apps. The drinks never disappoint and dinner was amazing.
google avatar

Amri L.

Yelp
Pretty good burger! The sweet potato fries were super mushy, definitely could have been more crispy. There are a lot of games on a lot of fun drink options as well.

Damian J.

Yelp
The food came out quickly and was very delicious. I had the jambalaya with noodles which is a first and my wife had the double decker BLT and we both could not eat it all. If ever in KC again we will make this a regular stopping place to eat.

Yelp
I dined at Yard House with a group of 18 after a volleyball tournament around 11 PM / 12 AM. We were all STARVING after playing all day. It took a while for us to get seated, but once we were, the service was pretty quick. They came and took our orders and I think all our food was out within 15 minutes or so. I ordered the Whiskey glazed salmon and it was delicious. The salmon was coated in a sweet whisky sauce, paired with parmesan mashed potatoes, baby broccoli, and roasted carrots. There was also a sweet sauce on the side which I found topped off the potatoes well. I think the carrots could've been a bit softer but otherwise the meal was super yummy. We also ordered the poke nachos and brookie for the table. I would personally recommend against the poke nachos. We were expecting there to be more fish on top of the wonton chips, but it was mostly sauce and green onions. The brookie was a hearty portion, a classic dessert - ice cream atop warm layers of brownie and ice cream. Overall, it was a fun dining experience. The menu also featured a variety of different drinks and the atmosphere was fun. I would come again.

Yelp
The food and the service here was top-notch. We wound up here because they were open late, and I'm so glad we did. Everything was honestly outstanding.

Yelp
The food was okay - we had the firecracker shrimp, kids Mac and cheese, kids cheese pizza, grown up Mac and cheese and a veggie burger. The server gave me a decent recommendation for a beer and my husband started with a Guinness. This is where it went wrong. When our food was delivered he asked for a glass of red - the runner said Cabernet or Pinot Noir. My husband asked for a cab thinking he would get a house red. What the entered was the 2nd most expensive glass on the whole menu - and a large glass as well. No questions were asked about profiles or suggestions given - just ordered an expensive glass. While I admit my husband should have looked at the menu - it seems rather cheeky to just order the most expensive option for the wine variety when the person wasn't specific. It left a bad enough impression that we won't be back

Yelp
We just stopped here for a late night dinner after an event. We got the ribeye and the wrap and it's tasty and delicious. Always on point and you can never go wrong with picking the yard house! Also if you are a couple here is a tip. If you just want to eat don't wait for a table service after 10 pm is bad. However the bar always is excellent. If you haven't tried the Korean ribeye it's a must! One little thing though as we were eating the ribeye we noticed it tasted more burned than charred so we flipped it and we literally had to scratch the surface off so it became edible because it was so bitter other than that the temperature was good
