Coming to this hidden gem for the first time was pure bliss. We celebrated our 6th year anniversary and wanted to try something out of the ordinary. We first got sat down by the owner and she was such a delight. She came back up to us and asked if we’d like to sit down stairs by a window view. It was truly such a lovely experience. The atmosphere was romantic and all around the food was exceptionally exquisite. I will definitely keep coming back. It is definitely worth the price. We came home with a cheesecake for dessert and it was out of this world. If you want scratched food that is made with so much love, please come here! You will not be disappointed. Thanks again for the phenomenal service we were truly pleased with everything.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident while searching for places to eat in the area one of the best mistakes I’ve ever made! The food was so good that I had to come back the very next day just to try more from the menu. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and knew the menu inside and out, which made ordering even easier. So far, I’ve tried the fried shrimp platter—absolutely delicious—the black Angus ribeye, which was so tender I could cut it with a fork, and the clam chowder, which was rich and flavorful. Even the salad was fresh and well-prepared. They also have a fantastic bar menu with a great selection of specialty cocktails, wines, and beers, perfect for pairing with their amazing dishes. But that ribeye? That alone is enough to bring me back again! Can’t wait for my next visit.

Parking is limited and the lighting is fairly dim. While the staff was nice, it took about 5 minutes after we sat down for a waitress to swing by our table -- they weren't busy either. Food takes forever to come out and for the price, there is not enough food. 1/4 cup of rice and 1/2 a squash does not cut it for a $40 plate. The shrimp dish Dejoghe(?) had an odd flavor and only came with 6 medium shrimp ($38 plate). The paper bag fish was so/so with a small fillet ($40.) The bread you get in the beginning might cut your mouth with how hard it is. The clam chowder was good, and their salad dressing was okay. Unsatisfied overall and not worth the $$$. Saw this place listed in a "must visit..." I beg to differ.

Me & my Wife went recently for our 6 year anniversary. The owner sat us by the window with a view of the ocean & she was the sweetest lady making sure everyone was enjoying there food. We loved the appetizers we had two different ones the fried calamari & crab stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were so soft with a creamy crab sauce & the calamari was not too chewy & very good texture. Then for our entree’s we had the Shrimp DeJonghe & the fried Shrimp. The fried shrimp comes with cocktail sauce, tartar sauce & orange spicy sauce. The shrimp were A good size & the batter on them was very crunchy. The shrimp DeJonghe was shrimp with noodles, green beans ,corn & mushrooms. It was 10 out of 10. Then we followed with dessert with the cheesecake & it was very creamy & not too dry. Best place for 5 star food & great views. Very romantic place & it’s has been open since 1975. Best restaurant in Corpus Christi

We tried this place for the first time on Valentine’s Day. We made a reservation for 7pm but didn’t get seated until 7:30pm. No big deal, it was pretty packed and the guy explained they were under staffed. Understandable. We sat down and ordered and service was great. We had Oyster Rockefeller for our appetizer and let me tell you. Ahhhhhhhhhmazing. I will never be able to have these anywhere else and think they are good. We got drinks and they were great too. They didn’t taste cheap like some places we have gone. We ordered and the food was out at a decent time, I got the Lobster Thermidor and I was in heaven. I can’t express how wonderful their food was. It’s so rare for us to go to a restaurant and eat and we are both 100% happy. That’s so very very rare for us. So thank you. We will most definitely be back.

Serine atmosphere right on the water. Our server named Mel was very knowledgeable in the items on the menu. She also gave us the off menu items and went into great details about the flavors and told us her favorites as well! Loved her hospitality. We enjoyed salmon and fried shrimp. We started off with ceviche(fish) it was delicious. We also had crab cakes and they were delicious. The soup was clam chowder it was good and tasted fresh. The house salad and the bread were fresh and tasty as well. The salmon was incredible I will definitely order again. It was an off menu item. I had a top shelf margarita that was very good as well. Over all this restaurant is a 10 out of 10!!! Make your reservation today!

The Papilotte is was a black drum with a wonderful sauce and is their signature dish. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and it was amazing! Every dish is carefully curated and tastes amazing. We had the crab cakes as an appetizer. It came with steamed spinach and melted in your mouth perfectly. The soup was new England clam chowder and gazpacho, both perfect small servings. Their salad has house-made sauces that go well together. Usually, I'm not a fan of balsamic vinegar or Dijon mustard, but wow, these were perfectly mixed. For our entre, I had the ribeye medium rare, and my husband got the Tuna steak medium rare with a coconut curry. Both were perfectly cooked and had a great crust. Lastly, to celebrate, we got he chocolate mousse. Best way to end a meal. I 100% recommend this place to couples.
