Google
Found this spot on Google Maps and it absolutely delivered. I ordered the miso pork ramen — rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The portion was so generous I had to ask for a to-go container for what I couldn’t finish. The green tea was also very delicious. Big shoutout to Ryan for being super attentive and making the experience even better. If you’re craving comforting, delicious ramen, this place is a must 🍜🔥

Google
Decided to grab ramen in the city after a trip back from DC and it was amazing, this spot just opened up a few weeks ago and I recommend it, I got with my partner pan-fried gyoza, steamed gyoza, karaage and two miso ramens. The prices here fit very well for what you get, the appetizer sizes are small and the price is perfect but the ramen portion is very big. Definitely get your moneys worth here. Melly took care of us and she was very nice and attentive and the owner even stopped by to see how everything was. I will be back for sure!

Google
Amazing ramen and excellent service! The tsukemen was outstanding — rich, flavorful dipping broth with perfectly chewy noodles. Our waiter Jack was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend Yasubee for authentic ramen. Definitely coming back!

Google
Came here for Sunday lunch after a night out in city. Great ramen with rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. Ryan took great care of us and made sure it was a , cozy vibe, and quick service—definitely a spot I’ll be coming

Google
Friendly staff and great food. I think their prices are reasonable and I the service is fast. One of my favorite places to have a meal when I need something fast and good. I definitely recommend it.

Google
A fun visit to a newly opened ramen spot that’s already scoring high, so of course I had to give it a try! But for die-hard Tonkotsu ramen fans, note that this place only serves Shio Ramen and Miso Ramen. I ordered the Shio Ramen, and it looked great when it arrived. The broth was a bit on the salty side — and I already like salty food — while the noodles were thicker than usual. The nice thing about these thicker noodles is that they balance the rich broth well, keeping it from feeling too heavy or greasy. The bamboo shoots tasted a bit too ordinary, but the service was friendly and the overall experience was solid.

Google
Melly is an absolute gem. Even though thr food was EXCELLENT (honestly the best tofu i ever had in my life. I think the fried tofu is fried in garlic or something) she really made the experience. Will absolutely be back

Google
Friendly and attentive staff. They have a cute ice breaker where patrons and waiters play ROCK PAPER SCISSOR and if y win they give you a free all appetizer. 😋 Their Ramen is definitely top notch. I like that even the original miso ramen is a tad bit spicy. The food here tastes so delicious! You won’t regret stopping in here for lunch. They have upstairs seating and small downstairs. They also have a bar upstairs.

Yelp

Yelp
It was absolutely freezing in New York tonight so I thought I'd pop in to have some ramen after a work event in Chelsea and I'm so glad that I did. This place was everything I needed it to be. I was seated quickly. Since I was solo this time, it was easy to see that Oresti (sorry if I spelled it wrong :) ) was managing the floor by himself, all the while, being super attentive to the customers and noticeably kind to customers, staff, and delivery people that came through. It wasn't super busy for a Tuesday night, but was certainly busy enough to have been overwhelming for one person. He stood out in that way. It also helped that the food was great and arrived quickly. I'm a big ramen fan and have tried many. The miso ramen ($16) was salty and hearty. I was very happy. This place also has ample seating, with an upper level. It was great!

Yelp
Since it's the time of the year to have some ramen, Yasubee in Chelsea came to mind. The place boasts a two-storey restaurant and looks like a fast food place, but don't be deceived; they offer full table service. We chose to dine on the second floor. The menu is simple, with two pages: one for food and the other for drinks. We started our dinner with chicken karaage and some local beer. We found the karaage moist and delicious. For our main entree, my partner had miso ramen and shoyu ramen for myself. To be very honest, the ramen experience is just okay. We had better ramen noodles and broth somewhere else. Although the customer service was awesome, that won't be enough for us to consider coming back here.

Yelp
Eh, how do you say "this is a bit mid" but in AI hallucinated Japanese and a Taiwanese accent? かなり平凡です Canary Heybondes. I average one Japan trip each year so I inevitably run across various forms of ramen. The flipside of this is that I have quite a bit of experience when it came to ramen, may it be abura (mazesoba), tsukemen, and other various regional styles, so I should be thrilled when Yasubee from Tokyo came over to the states...right? Honestly, I've never heard of them (unlike Mita Seimenjo which is a national Tsukemen chan with 55 restaurants) - Yasubee.us site claims their lineage from a ramen shop founded in 1950 at the tourist trappy Omoide Yochoko 思い出横丁 (Nostalgia alley) in Northwest Shinjuku, and it supposedly grew to 80 "beloved" stores across Japan. A red LED went off in my head. Yasubee is a popular name for salaryman restaurants in Japan due to the heroics of Horibe Yasubee 堀部安兵衛, a ronin warrior involved in the Ako incident (look that one up)...except on their logo it was rendered in Hirgana as やすべえ instead of kanji as 安兵衛, and one of the links on their site points to yasubee.com in Japan. That's for Tsukemenya Yasubee つけ麺屋 やすべえ, a small chain with 8 stores across Tokyo (not 80 across the country). They are a shop specializing in Tsukemen and there's no mention of their history there. You can say that there are lots of eateries named Yasubee in Japan and some are ramen shops. Was there one at Omoide yochoko dating back to 1950? Yes, but the name is rendered in Kanji, and considering that Japan is still under US occupation until 1955 with noodle flour not being easy to come by back then, in a location that was still rebuilding from rubble, the place (an izakaya) served yakitori and motsunabe (offal stew) with booze. They are still around today (shinjuku-yasubee.com) and they don't serve ramen (that's considered a Chinese import adapted for local tastes so traditional izakayas won't have it). Tsukemen wasn't even a thing until 1965 when it was made public (it was a staff meal of noodle scraps and leftover soup before), but it didn't get popular until the late 90s. So is there a Tsukemen Yasubee in Shinjuku? Yes, it opened in the mid-2000s in the Southwest when the Tsukemen style took off, but closed down in March 2025 due to that location being redeveloped. The other 8 restaurants in that chain are all between 5 and 15 years old. So okay, the lineage claim is bupkis, and they are a ramen franchisee owned by Kung Fu tea (founded in early 2000s Flushing by Taiwanese immigrants). How was the food? Well, the apps are basically a variation of what was served at Taiwanese tea joints with snack counters (like Quickly or Vivi Tea), what with the dumplings and fried chicken. Their gyozas were nothing special and their karaage is certainly very "popcorn chicken" (鹽酥雞) like. What about their noodles? It's very much phoning it in. How do you feel about a small-ish portion of thick Chinese stir-fry noodles (油麵) served chilled with a salty but watery soup on the side, with bits of pork belly and Katsuobushi (dried tuna flakes) on top? If you want the soup version they'll dilute it and throw the noodles within so it's...edible (but lacks personality). At 62 bucks for 2 people with 2 apps, a lychee highball (really just a can of Kungfu tea with some "well" sake) and the usual 19%, it's not expensive by midtown west standards. The service is decent (Mellie is hilarious) and quick, and the spot is chic and comfy. But damn the food is *meh*. The apt metaphor for Yasubee is the AI hallucinated "painting" in their restroom. Sure, it contained some generic Japanese words but you sure as hell can't nail down where the original subject matter was, and anyone who has been to Japan will pick up on how it's almost, but not quite like Japan itself. I guess you can say that about the food here itself.

Yelp
They have a good lunch special for under $20! I wasn't a huge fan of the ramen but it honestly wasn't bad. The lunch special comes with your choice of a bowl of ramen or tsukemen, plus a starter (gyoza or karaage), and an iced drink (lightly sweetened iced teas and even milk tea). I enjoyed the pan fried pork gyoza to start, which was good but pretty standard. We also ordered the karaage which was nice and juicy. The ramen didn't wow me but it wasn't bad - the chashu was very nice and tender though. They offered me hot broth to start which was delicious and a free mochi dessert. Service was great and friendly. We walked in without a reservation just fine (no one else was there). Overall, a good deal lunch for midtown!

Yelp
Very nice staff and ultimately good Pulsd deal. However we almost got overcharged because they changed the terms of the Pulsd deal so we ordered based on what the app said and it turned out that wasn't what we actually could get. They also messed up our order. We got a miso ramen and a spicy shoyu. They gave us spicy miso and shoyu ramen. Also our drinks didn't come til after our food. Everything tasted great and staff was very nice. The pulsd deal being different was just annoying and the service was obviously mediocre.

Yelp
Perfect ramen spot for a cold winter day! Went in for lunch on a Monday and it was super slow. The waiter was super attentive and even brought the little heater closer to our table and a shot of hot broth. We had a pulsd voucher so that included one appetizer, we chose the soy wings which were okay, more to the sweet side. I also tried the matcha IPA, and if you enjoy matcha you definitely enjoying this! Two entrees and we chose the shoyu and miso. I really enjoyed the miso broth better than the shoyu but they were both very tasty. You have an option to make them spicy which I really recommend because they have some amazing chilly oil. For dessert we got the basque cheesecake which was so creamy and light! Overall great experience, service and ambiance for an inexpensive place. Super recommend.

Yelp
Was walking around and stumbled upon this new spot. Cozy interior and really nice people working there. We had the Gyoza small plate to start who co was great! Crispy and well seasoned especially for the price point. For entrees we had the Tsukemen and a Chashu Don. Both were good but wish there was a bit more meat in the Chashu Don as it felt like I was eating a veggie bowl since there were more veggies than meat.

Yelp
I came during their soft opening in September! The staff was super attentive. The space has 2 floors which is nice with plenty of tables. The ramen/ tsukemen was good but I wouldn't say mind blowing. We got the karaage which was surprisingly really good - crispy and not dry! The edamame was light on the flavor. Just note this spot is part of the Kung fu tea brand portfolio so they sell the canned beverages on the menu too which I enjoyed!
google avatar

Charlene S.

Yelp
Came here recently to try their Pulsd deal is great bang for your buck. Between the ramen and tsukemen, I enjoyed the ramen more but that's just my usual preference. Drinks wise, I liked all of the beers but especially the Matcha IPA. The highballs basically taste like juice so I probably would skip next time. We were seated on the 2nd floor so service was pretty lackluster. It seemed like they basically forgot about us and I had to go downstairs several times to order more and ask for the check.

Dari H.

Yelp
The service at this spot is amazing but the food isn't so great. There aren't many options so If you do not eat pork, this is not the spot for you. Nice background music and paintings.

Chris S.

Yelp
Came here with friends on a Sunday night. The interior of the restaurant is nice and cozy. The servers were quick to come to us. Prices weren't expensive like a lot of ramen places. Unfortunately I will say that the ramen itself was pretty mid. Not much to say sadly. It was fine, I recommend getting it spicy for extra flavor. My friends weren't impressed either. It was just ok, I wouldn't mind coming back though.

Yelp
Delicious! It opened right next to my house, and we go there every week! We also got the neighborhood discount. Perfect for my ramenaholic son!

Yelp
Loved the food and atomsphere! We ordered the wings, ramen and ubecheesecake with lychee mocktail. Everything was tasty!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try their ramen out and finally stopped by with my husband and friends and was very satisified with my experience! Tons of seating as there's an upstairs space so it'd be great for large group. Our server Jun (I hope I'm spelling correctly) was really friendly and kept checking in on us. We ordered edamame, three orders of gyoza, four orders of chasu, potato salad, two shoyu ramen, a miso ramen and a tsukemen ramen which was a lot but everything was so good we easily wiped all the plates clean. The ramen were all really flavorful but the star of the meal was the chasu topped with the most delectable wasabi marinade sauce(?). It is an absoluteeee must! They also had a matcha beer which I couldn't try because I'm pregnant I will be sure to try next time when I can!

Helena Y.

Yelp
My 3rd time at Yasubee Chelsea location. Ramen noodles are so delicious and chewy. And the broth is good as well. ***Definitely try the appetizer chashu wasabi. It is the best appetizer I've ever tried at a ramen place. The sauce is made in-house and it's a perfect pair with their yuzu or matcha beer!!! They also have great happy hour deals & resident deals! Such a gem, can't wait to go back again soon.

Yelp
Highly recommend this spot -- affordable yet delicious food in a cozy place. Ryan was a fantastic waiter and made the whole experience a joy.

Jay W.

Yelp
Good service, good food, not too crowded. Ryan is great. I've had the ramen and tsukemen - both are fine options.

Krevin Mark D.

Yelp
Authentic Japanese flavors at affordable Prices! Service was good. Ryan was really helpful. Ample tables and space! Will definitely come back!

Yelp
My family and I were visiting New York over the week of Thanksgiving and stumbled upon this restaurant. After eating in a few expensive restaurants with average to good food, Yasubee turned out to be the best choice in dining that we made. The appetizers, the ramen, and the tsukemen were delicious and filling. The atmosphere was really cool, the staff very friendly, and the prices very reasonable. This will definitely be a place we return to on our next trip to NY.
google avatar

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place today as I was exploring NYC and to my surprise it was their Grand Opening weekend. This Japanese Authentic Ramen Restaurant has landed in Chelsea. The restaurant has two floors, a bar and a great staff. I was served by Adrian and he provided a 5 star great guest service. Adrian recommended great drink options and food options. I ended up getting two appetizers, the Shoyu Ramen and Pork Katsu Donburi. For dessert, I had their vanilla ice cream. Had a beer and the Lemon high ball was good. I look forward to coming back to this location with family, friends, colleagues and anyone interested in Japanese ramen and food!

Stephen Y.

Yelp
Their miso ramen was so good and that I ate it twice in one trip! Very cozy place and friendly wait staff. Good selection of entrees and appetizers. Will definitely come back any time I'm in the mood for ramen and in the area!

Manisha D.

Yelp
Absolutely an enjoyable and delicious experience! We came for the ramen but stayed for the happy hour specials (edamame, gyoza, beer, and lychee cocktail). The ramen was such a treat on a cold day. Service was way above and beyond. Ventura made a dinner stop special!

Tiffany G.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic - great people, owner is wonderful, food is even better. Highly recommend sliding in if you want good food and good company.

Joshua Y.

Yelp
Eric is exceedingly nice. This man is trying to make sure that you have a good experience! Congrats on opening So excited to get to have this space open and serving!

Yogi J.

Yelp
Very nice little place, affordable yummy ramen, and our server Ryan was very kind! The food also came out quite quick!

Jory S.

Yelp
Beware vegetarians. The two of us both ordered the Crunchy Tofu Ramen for pickup as we live on the block, excited to try this place and see a veggie option on the menu. While the crunchy tofu was great, the rest of was not. The broth is thin and watery and bland, like store-bought "vegetarian chicken broth." And we were missing MOST of the toppings that were listed on the menu. There were no carrots, no cabbage, no bean sprouts, and no seaweed. Just noodles, scallions, and bamboo. My partner threw his out, but I ate it because I was starving. I hate leaving this review as we were excited for this to open, but I think they need to hear this feedback.

Pop J.

Yelp
Good ramen, plain and simple. Reasonably priced for the city. Nice area and environment were supplemented by good employees.

Marcy E.

Yelp
This new addition to the neighborhood. The menus is extensive but not overwhelming. The food delicious and authentically Japanese. Our Server Ryan was so warm and friendly and the decor is modern, artistic and inviting.

David L.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the is really nice. Had the miso ramen and the katsu don 10/10!!

Saiba S.

Yelp
Melly provided amazing service! The small plates were excellent. The ramen has a fish broth which makes it lighter but still flavorful. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

Chris C.

Yelp
Got the spicy Shoyu ramen. Thick noodles, very good. Wasn't spicy enough for me, and they added more at no charge. Gyoza was great as well

Tawni C.

Yelp
Best ramen we have had! The edamame was so flavorful, and the pork belly is to die for! I also highly recommend the gyoza! Perfectly cooked!

Tori N.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this. Got takeout for lunch after feeling under the weather and it was the best thing. Pork ramen was amazing and I can't wait to come back! Great spot in the Chelsea neighborhood.
