A really great option after a day of hiking or on the water. I got the chicken/steak hibachi, and it was a really healthy portion size. My partner got the Baltimore roll. Both were REALLY tasty. If you're looking for a different type of cuisine than the usual fare found around Harper's Ferry this is a wonderful choice.

We ordered the Bakerton Roll & Crispy Jalapeño Roll with a side of Spring Rolls. It was EXCELLENT! A gem of a find. Very friendly & helpful owners. Don’t pass up this place!!!

Got the steak and chicken combo and the crab rangoons. The combo meal was super delicious everything was full of flavor. Now the crab rangoons … hands down best I’ve had so far ever and the paired sauce is perfect! 10-10 would recommend!

I decided to try this food truck after seeing really great reviews on Door Dash. Even the seemingly crankier folks said great things. I’ve ordered a few times now. The steak is amazing. The grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce is delicious. Their fried rice is even superior! As for the serving sizes, they’re perfect and I always have leftovers! My favorite so far is the grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce and fried rice. One fitful with rice, chicken and veggies is bliss. Food trucks can be really impressive, usually the ones with lines down the street in bigger cities are best. This one would give them all a run for their money, and it’s right here in Bakerton? Thats wild. The food is great, servings sizes incredible, and they make the food so quickly! I’m grateful it’s there and on so glad it rode it when I did, I only wish O tried it sooner.

Highly recommend I found this place by accident and then I had a little "picnic"at Harpers ferry picnic area it was very enjoyable this is a must if you are checking out the national park. Everything thing I ordered was good. The mango lemonade was 🔥. Gps will take you right to it!

Food is amazinglyyyy delicious and everyone there was so kind! The service was great and the food was bomb especially the steak hibachi and the yum yum sauce. Shout out to the person who took our order and gave us an extra thai tea ❤️❤️

Delicious food and great prices makes for incredible value. We got the hibachi salmon and hibachi steak with crab Rangoons. Loved it!

I was excited to try out this spot while on a camping trip. After a long day in the sun, the last thing I wanted to do was cook over a campfire. The menu offers everything from sushi, to hibachi plates. I ordered a few sushi rolls and some spring rolls. Although the sushi was good, the spring rolls seemed to be from a frozen box and was nothing to write home about. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area next to try the hibachi.

Service was Great! Sitting here now eating the chicken and shrimp hibachi and it's so delicious. Like super good. Will recommend to every one!!

Great pit stop for fried rice or sushi. Outdoor seating only, small food truck. The staff was very friendly and proud to serve his food.

Very friendly folks. Don't let the appearance of the food truck fool you. Our food was hot and the portions were plentiful - especially the rice. We got a chicken hibachi, a steak hibachi, and an order of spring rolls. The hibachi plates came with a ton of fried rice, mixed veggies, and the meat. Yum-Yum sauce was solid. The spring rolls had a great crunch, though filling was a bit lacking. Overall the meal was great, not a five-star meal but worthy of a stop when you want some hot food after exploring the area. Look out for the resident friendly kitties wandering around!

Our go to place for quick hibachi... I also enjoy the Penang l curry- with hopes they will make it as spicy as possible, and they usually do a decent job at it. Spring rolls are great, sushi is delicious. One time my husband did get a roll he couldn't eat- he just thought it smelled off, but that was like one out of the 20 or so times we've ordered from there.

Mu mouth has been blessed by this food. Absolutely a 10 outta 10, but there are some things to note. This food is so good it deserves a brick and mortar, but don't let the fact that it's a good truck scare you. It is some of the best hibachi I've had in the DMV area. I do wish they had some space heaters outside. With minor changes aesthetically like a tarp covering and maybe some family lawn games, I think this place would be the next best food truck.

The food here is amazing. I've had a few types of hibachi and you can't go wrong with any of them. The cashier is always nice and always has a smile. This is some of the best Japanese food I've had. Highly recommended.

Really bad. Didn't resemble hibachi in the slightest. Tasted like boiled food with teriyaki sauce poured on. We got steak hibachi, chicken & shrimp hibachi, chicken fried rice, spring rolls, and teriyaki chicken skewers -$64. Dry and tough chicken and shrimp. Flavorless (very bland) fried rice that wasn't fried long enough. The spring rolls and yum yum sauce were good. Immediate trip to the bathroom before I could even finish eating it unfortunately! We really wanted to support a local place, but this ain't the one.

I don't know why some people don't like this place, everything was absolutely spectacular. The crew was so friendly, the food was extraordinary, and it was a lot more affordable than most of these other sit down hibachi restaurants. I will gladly come back here again.

Tried this place out today and was not disappointed! The portions are very generous and the prices are cheap. The food was great and didn't take long. You can also call ahead. You can get this for $10.00...salmon hibachi. It's comes with sauce too. There are also shaded picnic tables. Fed a family of 4 for under $50. I will definitely be going back. It's right next to Wilt's Fruit Stand so get some fresh fruit and veggies while you wait.

It was ok, but not really great. The steak was pretty bland and kind of tasted like it was boiled. The fried rice was was kind of bland too. The portions are big though.

We were super happy to find Yatai Hibachi after a recent river tube excursion. We were hungry and consulted the trusty Yelp app for a place to get a late lunch - bing! The menu and location were for us - an omnivore, a vegetarian and a pescatarian. Service was friendly and we were able to shop at the farm stand next to where they set up shop. The food came out without too much of a wait and we were rewarded with tasty eats. My shrimp tempura sushi-rito was excellent and my companions enjoyed their veggie stir fry and salmon dishes. All with a tangy sweet sauce that went with everything.

Really delicious food after hiking around Harper's Ferry. Great portions for the Hibachi, they made my steak medium rare as requested. The customer service was great and really friendly. I really recommend the yum yum roll, it was so delicious!

Great Hibachi at a great price. Have been there only once...about a week ago...and plan to repeat often. We had two meals with spring rolls and had left-over meals for a few days. They, in fact, will be a destination drive for us as we live in Frederick, MD. Maybe a great destination after a long hike on the Appellation trail in Harper's Ferry?

I would rather go down 340 and throw $100 of $1 bills out the window than to eat here again. The rice was hands down the worst I've ever had in my life.

This place ie REAL DEAL! I wish I had a good pic of the food but couldnt resist just diving in. Don't let the prices fool you. You get MORE than your money's worth. Service is incredible, everyone who works there will greet you with a smile. Not to mention thatthe food tastes incredibly fresh, even when I reheated it hours later (because it was so big I barely put a dent in it before I was full). We got the chicken teriyaki with noodles, beef bulgogi, 2 sushi rolls, mango lemonade and thai tea. I genuinely cannot think of a single negative about this place. 10/10 for anyone looking for great service, vibes (with their adorable outdoor lighting) and superb food that won't break the bank

Hands down the best food truck around ! I would suggest to call your order in prior because they get extremely busy. The chef greeted us and asked how is everything, he gave us extra sauce and free drink that my daughter told him she liked. Please check this place out ! Awesome dinner !

Hidden gem, well prepared, fast and delicious. Staff is very nice. We stopped here on a Saturday evening after tubing. Highly recommended. Great ambience and music too

I never (and I mean Never) post reviews, however I'm just so thrilled to find authentic tasting Asian cuisine. They were out of the Panang curry which is the whole reason I was ordering from them, I wasn't disappointed at all. I got the shrimp hibachi, and chicken fried rice. It was superb and the orange slightly sweet sesame sauce is incredible, definitely need to make sure you get extra, it totally accentuates the flavor from the grill. Great prices for the amount of food you get. Can't wait to go back and try the curry and will definitely get the shrimp hibachi again. The shrimp were extremely fresh and not over cooked. The great food is why there was a slight wait and non stop customers.

This is a hidden gem. We visited this food truck on the side of the road while traveling through Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The folks that own this truck should really open a Hibachi restaurant; the food was fantastic. We ordered, spring rolls, Steak and Chicken Combination (came with veggies and fried rice), and Beef Bulgogi (with veggies and white rice). They offer sides of extra Yum Yum Sauce for .65 so we made sure to get a few. This is a must try location if you visit the area. They deliver via grub hub too so if you're local and don't want venture out to try their food, you don't have to!

My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE Yatai. We try to come at least once a week after work. Yes, it's just that delicious! Nothing better than a friendly face smiling at you while taking your order after working a long day on the river (we're raft guides), and you just know so much love is put into the food they prepare. Prices are fair, family owned by amazing people who are always friendly, and spectacular food! Never once have I had a single complaint about this place. I get the beef bulgogi and my boyfriend gets the steak hibachi meal, 10/10 recommend. Their sushi is also very yummy. Great outdoor seating with shade if you want eat outside too (: I wish I could give this place 100 stars, you ROCK Yatai!!!!

Great food, great service! Will be back for sure. Got the steak and shrimp hibachi with a steak burrito sushi. Everything was so good! Also, you get a TON of rice with the hibachi meals. YUM!

Ordered carry out. They said it would be ready in 35 minutes. I arrived in 20 minutes, and to my surprise the order was already available for pickup. I spent $37 including tip for one sushi roll, one shrimp hibachi, and one teriyaki stick appetizer. The chicken teriyaki sticks were tough, rubbery and inedible. The sushi roll was tasty but cold (shrimp tempura should have been warm at least), the shrimp hibachi entree tasted good but contained only six very small shrimp. Cheap styrofoam packaging probably resulted in the food not staying hot during the 10 minute trip home. This is basically a food truck charging the same prices as nice brick and mortar restaurants. I feel their food is over priced and was very disappointed in the quality.

Love this place. Cheaper than the other option in town and honestly tastes better. Love supporting them and love their food.

Don't let the plain, white looking food truck deceive you...this place is a must try and you will not be disappointed. I got the hibachi steak, Yatai Trio, and a shrimp tempura sushi burrito (I mean why not try a bit of everything ) and it was definitely yummy. They give big portions, which is a big plus and very well priced. Can't believe I overspend by going to the other local Japanese hibachi restaurants ‍. Don't just read this - you must try it for yourself.

We ordered through grub hub. Delivery was fast. We had the hibachi trio (steak, shrimp, chicken), vegetable hibachi, spring rolls, avacado roll, and chicken fried rice. Everything was fantastic and packed well for delivery. Will order again soon.

I just happed by this truck today because I thought it was a well known Barbecue Truck. My disappointment. I order anyway. The two items I bought were over priced. I got chicken fried rice with extra chicken and chicken teriyaki on a stick. The chicken teriyaki on a stick was served two sticks with chicken pieces on it they tasted pretty good however they cost six dollars. In my opinion they were not worth three dollars each. The chicken fried rice was under cooked the chicken tasted like teriyaki chicken which they tell you it is there was nothing else in it, no vegetables, nothing..just teriyaki sauce and chicken and it was also very pricey. So when I got home I put some more water hoping it would tender the rice up a little bit. I doubt if I'll stop by this truck again their menu is very limited. Some people may like it I didn't.

Great! Exceeds expectations for a food truck. Cost is reasonable and you get a lot of food. We live right down the road so it's super convenient. I recommend going during the week when they are less busy.

So far-very good. I've only been there once. I had the chicken teriyaki. Very good. Fried rice is not traditional. No peas, onions, or egg. Just rice. Nice staff and fast service.

Overrated. Under cooked rice. Scarce amount of meat and veggies. You are better off taking your money to Apple Blossom Mall and getting Nori Japan. On the fence about returning to this establishment.

Not terrible, far from great. Like many posted reviews, there were extraordinarily large portions of rice with not much to go on top of it. Weight-wise you initially think you are getting a lot of food--you aren't. Veg. spring rolls (4) were pretty small for the cost ($6) and appeared to be cooked in oil too cold for frying (lube job). Distress and an explosive trip to the bathroom may follow--you've been warned. Bulgogi was very thin and not seasoned well, but acceptable. Veg. was ok. Portions of both were small (mostly rice). Shrimp & Chicken hibachi was ok. Again, a lot of rice. Thai iced tea was overly sweet (tea base was too weak for the sweetened condensed milk and overpowered by it). Mango Lemonade was excellent. Price for quality: agreeing with many others opinion, $41 for meal such as this was poor value for quality of food; however, given the market that the owners are likely going after (cold, wet river-tube riders and starving koa-campers in the immediate vicinity), this is likely a workable/successful business model. That being said, it is not worth a special trip for a local or for folks looking for a great food experience, or decent eats on the cheap.

Great food, excellent customer service. The prices are reasonable and not overpriced like Ginza. The rice is better than theirs also.
