It's are wholesale market it's open after 9:00 p.m. the half of the road is blocked with fruits cartoon. you will get most of the fruits with almost half price than the retail market. Lot sizes bigger for example you have to buy at least two box of mango which contain around 40 piece. apple around one box varies form 30- 60 pcs. Water melon 4 pcs box, coconut at least 9 piece and so on. during daytime there is no market only some price is very expensive. You can come with your fruit lover friends and devide among you after purchase.

When I was living in Hong Kong, I would come here every week to buy fresh fruit. I loved visiting this place because it had a wide variety of fruits from all over the world at wholesale prices. Even if I didn’t buy anything, just browsing was enjoyable! But be prepared—it gets really crowded if you come on the weekend!

What a beautiful and vibrant market with very reasonable down to earth prices. Fruit, vegetables, and other grocery products are sold at competitive prices and the product is so fresh!

The constant soliciting might be overwhelming but where else are you going to get delicious Japanese strawberries at wholesale prices?

Nice drop by to get fruits if you’re in the area. Japan peaches are pricey (42-52hkd each / s$7-9) however super sweet and a nice delight. The yellow version was even sweeter than the pink ones. Green grapes from China (another stall) was also not cheap (70hkd / s$12), and not as impressive. Beware, the grape bunch may have a few rotten ones, at the bottom, not visible during purchase (like mine did..)

Google
Wholesale fruit market that caters to retail & tourists. Pro tip: Go further inside for the best deals and don’t be afraid to haggle if you think the price is too high! Snagged myself some mangoes ($40 for 4), pomegranates ($30 for 4), and mosambi citrus fruits ($25 for 4).

It's worth a stop even if you are just visiting HK. So much fruit to see, an amazing experience if you have never been to a real fruit market. Many different varieties and types of fruit, and the best prices. If you are just visiting and not a wholesaler ( just a retail shopper), it is better to come in non wholesale hours for this market, like late morning or after lunch. The shops and workers have time to talk and show you fruit and answer questions. If you go very early or in the or mid morning, they are focused more on wholesale business. Lots to see, and a fun experience

Yelp
The fruit market is a gem! In the early morning, it's mainly rushed wholesale shopping, but as the day goes on, it becomes a retail shopping area for locals to get all sorts of fruit. You can find just about any fruit you would want, including fruit from all around Asia and in-season specialty fruit. When shopping, make sure you walk up and down the street to compare prices and stock before buying anything. You can usually get vendors to match one another in price, or knock some money off the price (especially if you are buying multiple pieces from them). While I wouldn't exactly call it a tourist attraction, it's a nice view of normal Hong Kong life shopping at wet markets for daily food.

Yelp
The transformation that takes over this place by Waterloo Road is truly amazing. During the day I've walked by the closed stores and have taken many a photo of the colored graffiti that covers each shutter. Each door has their very own unique art piece, usually related to fruit. I've even walked through its labyrinth of dark corridors with nothing but a few stray cats to keep me company. But it's not during the day that this place is special. At around eleven at night the shutters open, the lights turn on and the people come out ready to begin work. The streets are crammed with crates leaving only a snaking path for vehicles to navigate by and even less room for the pedestrian - which just adds to the fun in my opinion! Fruit is everywhere. If you wanted to play that fruit slicing game but in real life this would be the place to do it. I've tried it and it's surprisingly fun and empowering. And it's not just the boring fruit like apples and bananas, it's all the exotic ones as well! I don't know about you but I like to start my day with a homemade fruit smoothie or fruit salad and for me there are two essential ingredients, mangos and blueberries. More for taste than health issues. It's not always possible to find them in the supermarket but in this block of fruit merchants you'll have your pick, and for a cheaper price. Win win! Primarily the shops are there for mass sale to other companies yet because of its openness to the public they each sell the individual melon, dragon fruit, or mango without a fuss. Oh and did I mention they sell eat-on-the-day avocados? They do. Until about 4am (Maybe later but I've never gotten home from a night out later than that while living in Yau Ma Tei) the shops are open for a healthy alternative to a lamb kebab or pizza slice, or anything that isn't healthy. If you go be sure to walk into the middle of the complex via Canton Road, there's an elderly lady with a memory like an elephant - that or she likes to hand out ripe avocados to every Caucasian that walks by.
