I will preface with the fact that I am a huge yakiniku lover. You'll find me frequenting Anjin, Tsuruhashi, and Manpuku. YAZAWA blew me out of the water. It's not cheap, but when you're getting this level of service and food, it's a-okay to be an epicure at times.
I'm no stranger to YAZAWA's portfolio, I've had amazing times at their sukiyaki restaurant right next door, IMA. And just like with IMA, YAZAWA has access to unparalleled beef options.
I would highly recommend going with any of the chef's Omakase options as it really gives you the experience that YAZAWA is attempting to curate. Surprisingly, it's good amount of food as well. From appetizers to the meat courses, each dish had a thoughtfulness in its preparation and flavor profiles. You can tell the meat is high quality wagyu (Japanese, not Australian). With Omakase, the offerings for their meat changes often.
The service was incredible too, they carry the same level of "omotenashi" found in Japan. The staff was very attentive to our every need.
I will say there isn't much parking in front for both YAZAWA or IMA but that's most of Beverly Hills. There is a small parking structure behind the restaurant.
When I want to have yakiniku (which is usually more often than not) and I'm willing to splurge, I will definitely be going to YAZAWA.
