Ye Olde Falcon Pub

Coworker and I took a shot at this place, and to be honest, we left wishing we had not. I ordered ordered a beer, and the gentleman behind the bar said no, I won't serve you that beer. He never gave me a straight answer as to why, so I ordered a different beer. I got the same response. I ended up ordering a Guinness in a can. I'm glad I did because my coworker ordered a beer, and it tasted sour. He sent it back and ordered a very well-known US domestic beer, and that was sour as well. I tried it, and it was bad. He did not drink it, and it just sat there. Nobody asked or questioned why he did not drink it. Food wise, I got the Shepherd Pie. It was ok. I would not visit again.

I went in thinking it was a cool little Irish pub when I found this spot. Was left dissatisfied. It was dark and I felt I was more in an AA meeting than an actual bar. The bartenders were more interested in talking negatively about the place than helping its customers. I had a beer and it tasted way off. I paid and decided to go to a place where I could enjoy a beer not listen in on drama.

I was looking for a place to host my boyfriend's Irish themed bday. I spoke with Maria from the Falcon Pub and from the moment she got our inquiry the top notch customer service began. At one point we were going to go another route and Maria wished us luck and mentioned if we needed anything to give her a call. After all, we actually ended up having our Irish party at the British Falcon Pub lol, and it was the best decision! Maria opened the doors early for us to set up the VIP room, moved everything around for us, held our cake in the fridge, put a welcome picture and message on the monitors, and hands down gave us the best customer service anyone in this industry could give. We practically had the place to ourselves to spread out! And the locals didn't mind at all. The food was good, the drinks were good, everything was amazing! Everyone there was attentive and our group of 40 was well serviced. More accommodating than expected. We were more than happy with the final choice to go to the Falcon Pub it was exactly what I was looking for! Taz was an excellent bartender with a great attitude, and Maria & Sal went above and beyond! As an event specialist that works in this industry, I would highly recommend calling Maria & Sal at the Falcon Pub! We had a blaaaast! Thank you Falcon Pub!

THE Classic pub. Definitely worth a visit. A VERY special place. You will be treated like family.

They charge 18 dollars for a 1/4 cheeseburger and fries. They do not give free refills on sodas. The food is average at best. If your drinking here and want a bite to eat it's OK. However, if your looking to grab food and drinks I wouldn't go to Falcon pub. So many better options in Davie.

Good drinks and good company. The bartender, Alex, was professional, competent and amicable! This was my first time there and genuinely didn’t know what to expect. I had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Safe parking lot. (They don’t have karaoke anymore. Would be great if they brought it back.).

First time going to this place. I lived in Davie for 7 years and can't believe I've never been here before. We had an amazing experience. I took my partner and another friend of ours and I couldn't believe the great treatment we had. Let me tell you, Sal and Maria Elena (the owners) really went out of their way to take good care of us. I've never seen or been in a place in So. Florida that the owners themselves take time of their busy schedule to make you feel welcome. The food was amazing, very top notch. You must try the fish and chips, which they are known for nationally. Also try the Sheppard's pie. Also try their Vodka and Cran IV Bag, youre welcome. Overall, amazing experience and great food and to top it off, top class customer service by the staff and the owners themselves.

Nice and chill spot, open until 4am even on a Tuesday! Love it! Bartenders and patrons were both talkative and friendly! Beer selection limited but serviceable for a craft drinker. The only negative is that the draft beers did not taste good/right. These kegs are either old or the lines desperately need to be cleaned!

Should've read the reviews before coming here...also should've turned around as soon as we walked in and smelled the stench of dirty cleaning water... Decided to stay because we used to come to this bar many years ago and have fond memories with old friends here. That being said, we will not be coming in again. The ambiance is sad, very quiet for a Friday night. The service was very poor and inattentive. My husband and I sat at the bar and asked for a menu and were handed one menu to share. One menu?? We ordered a Blue Moon and a Miami Weiss on draft to start. The first sip of the Blue Moon was off and we quickly decided something was wrong with the beer. We ordered a Modelo on draft to replace the Blue Moon and it was also undrinkable. Something is definitely wrong with their beers on draft. Disgusting. The only thing that prevented this bar from getting 1 star was the food. Wings and the chicken pot pie were not bad. Their only saving grace. Overall, would not recommend.

They added Shepherds Pie to the lunch menu!!! This place is a long time pillar of Davie- and the Shepherds pie is my absolute favorite paired with a good stout on tap. Great selection of brews and I love playing Jenga outside. Thank you Sal for many a good time!

Been coming here for long time. This casual bar has very good selection of beers and they make great cocktails. Simple food menu. Its a true college bar by first sight and located near college campuses but its also a local pub of long time regulars. Nothing fancy inside at all but just a simple chill out relaxed bar. Be prepared to hunt for parking since on weekends the parking lot is tight. 4.5 stars here...

The food is great here but I swear that every single time we go, there's an issue with the bill and feeling nickel and dimed. Most recently, on two separate visits, we were charged for a coke refill (seriously?!), charged for ordering 10 wings and 10 wings instead of the 20 we actually ordered (which are still $32! this made them about $36), charged for two sauces on the wings (even though one should have been included), and charged for mushrooms that were clearly BAD before being fried. We left about half on the plate but were told they wouldn't take them off because they were "consumed." The owner is nice (as always), and came by our table early on, but never came back to address any of these issues on either occasion - and not once did they fix the bill. It's one thing to have prices that are pretty high (and odd!) to begin with, but another to charge people for refills and spoiled food. I'm sure they could've checked the fresh mushrooms in the kitchen and realized they were going bad - irrespective of what we left behind on the plate. $15 isn't gonna break us but it sure doesn't make me want to return.

Wow this place was shockingly bad. Empty on a Saturday evening was the first red flag. Second was the overwhelming smell of cleaner -- so strong you practically could taste it. But then I ordered a draft beer that was undrinkable -- and that's a first for me. Noticed the rancid stench of the beer head before I even actually tasted it, which also tasted off in a "I'm going to get food poisoning" way. AND, to add insult to injury, it was served in a 10 oz highball glass rather than a pint glass -- and cost $9! Read the room Falcon Pub. And clean your taps. Oh and by the way there is absolute nothing UK-ish about this place. Go to Kings Head up the street instead.

This shepherd's pie was the best I've ever had in my life. Cherry pop cocktail was quite refreshing...however, I had wanted a beer. Alas, not a single dark beer or English beer on tap. There's no excuse.

Cost not worth the food you get, the bartender was very friendly though! I like the ambience, reminds me of a Midwest dive bar

Great food and drinks! Highly recommend this local watering hole in Davie! Come see TAZ the bartender who makes a mean Margarita and such a great personality. Ambiance is Uber laid back and we will definitely be back. The signature dish we tried was the Fish & Chips was perfect with the malt vinegar and beef fries. I highly recommend the margarita on the rocks with Don Julio, so YUM! Wasn't a huge fan of the churrasco which was overcooked and too much lemon or vinegar. Regardless, it wasn't enough to take any points off. Had a great time with my love.

Post Pandemic review .... Not the same food , quality or amount, new owner Sal. Demands payment or credit or cash prior to putting in your order to the kitchen. 3 pieces of medium size fish & smallish order of steak fries $22.00. Fish was good & cooked correctly.

So we really wanted to like this spot. Unfortunately, right off the bat upon opening our menu a dead cockroach fell out. It was dead so the wife and I agreed, give them a chance, lets see what the food taste like. Then my wife order a coffee for a quick wake up. It had been a long day. So the coffee arrives with an ant running across the side of the cup. Dinner arrives. Two Fish and chips. Which were very tasty, so thats the issue. Then I notice several more ants running across our table. Both my wife and I started having itchy legs, lol. You know how it is once you start seeing ants. lol., If you dont mind dealing with dead bugs and live ants, the food was pretty good. I personally wont be going back, but like I said the food was good, and I really want the place to thrive. Note to management! Please please fix this situation.

I've gone to the Falcon Pub many a times years ago. It is your run of the mill college bar. The drinks are reasonably priced so I give them that. I think I paid about 8 bucks for a bourbon on the rocks. Not too shabby. I didn't get any food on my last trip so I don't want to comment on that. But from what I remember years ago, it was your typical bar food. The ambience inside is cozy with that mix of college bar and dive bar. If thats your thing then give this place a shot. They are also open somewhat late so it might be your only choice if looking for a late night drink. Lastly, servers were friendly and attentive.

This place smells like a nasty porta potty. Haven't been here in years, probably won't be back.

we were looking forward to trying this place the end result was very disappointing. Food mediocre, staff inattentive, Place smelled horrible and looks unclean, can't believe they pas health inspection. When we got the check wasn't given an itemized check upon asking for one I saw why, we were charged an up charge for a "splash" of cranberry in a vodka rocks and an upcharge for mayonnaise and for a side of dressing. I hate crooks especially in the restaurant business... they should be in business.

Smells like Jeffrey Dahmer's apartment in there, $9 Guinness draft is ridiculous. They will nickel and dine you every chance they get, the food is decent but overpriced that's why they get two stars.

Wings. Wings. Wings. Falcon pub tea. Great chill pub. They have darts, they have a cool bar, awesome specials and drinks, and the wings are out of this world. I admit I have only ever had the wings here, but they are always amazing. Highly recommend theme It's garlic and a falcon tea to wash it down. This is pub style, so don't expect frills, just straight up good food, drinking activities, and a chill atmosphere.

Hole in the wall pub with decent food. I love that there were 3 sets of dart games, and they freely give out darts for patrons to play. As far as food, it is decent pub food. The southwest egg rolls were probably the best item in the menu. Comes with a delicious sweet sauce. I probably wouldn't come here for food, but for the games and atmosphere.

I've been coming here for the last 7-8 years and I'd have to say it's disappointing where this bar is going. The system that dispenses beer needs to be serviced. I've gotten vinegar tasting beer multiple times and at kinda warm temps. Also their prices have gone up exponentially so it's just not worth it anymore. I really want to like this place and come back but it's hard when there are other places with better product at a cheaper price.

We came here for 1 last drink of the night and our regular bars were closed (probably dead due to previous night was Super Bowl). This was my husband's first time visiting and I visited several times in the past but not for at least 5 years. I remember it being super overpriced and it deterred me since there are other bars close by with good beers and cheap. We went inside and ordered drinks at the bar. I ordered pineapple cider and hubby ordered a beer. We left a card to keep the tab open and made our way outside. Karaoke was going on inside and we like to hear each other so we sat outside. It was kind of cool out and there was a ceiling fan above us, which made it cooler. We were probably the oldest people there. In fact, most of the kids didn't look over 21. Two different servers checked on us several times, which was great. We ordered a second round of the same drinks. It was getting late and we were talking about leaving when a physical fight broke out. Of course a crowd gathered and drama pursued and that was our sign to go. I have not witnessed a bar fight in years. Well, it has been years since I've been to amateur places. Anyway, we get our tab and it's $25! For 4 beers! I will never come here again.

Haven't been here in years. No kids tonight so my and the hubby wanted to go somewhere adult like. So decided to visit the Falcon Pub. My husband wanted something different for dinner. The outside is presentable. Nice large canopy tent for outside dining for the cooler weather season. Indoors is welcoming, charming and bar like. Wooded bar is huge with seating. A few booths and tables for larger parties. Many drink specials and tons of draft beer options. Menu has lots of choices. My spouse chose the Shepard's pie. It was a very nice portion. Very tasty. I ordered the grilled cheese. Was not special or even that great. However they serve steak fries and those are my favorite. They were short staffed but the young lady and manager hustled to keep Everyone happy. Very clean inside. The fee customers inside were very pleasant. A few TVs were on to watch will you were there.

Be prepared for warm beer. Every pitcher served with a warm glass lol. It's a shame because it's not gonna hurt the business to get the glasses remotely cooled. Plastic pitcher and warm glasses. 4 pitchers in a row. This wasn't an isolated incident. Also overpriced. Pitcher of Yuengling is $23.00 so be prepared. Place used to be more affordable. Now it's mediocre for top dollar. A damn shame. Order a vodka tonic you get charged 50 cents for the tonic lol.

2022 post! NOTHING IRISH or ENGLISH ABOUT THIS PLACE... Very disappointed.. been quite awhile since I've been and wanted to see how it's changed in 30 years... NOT MUCH! Food is Adequate and Overpriced for Value of food.. supposed to be Happy Hour but paid almost 10$ drink? WHAAT? DECOR has NOT changed 1 bit and Bathrooms were disgusting. Owner Sal and his wife were very friendly, but felt like he was trying to sell business , always boasting about his income Bar was getting, but there were 5 people total in there. Staff was nice, polite, but discussed Work problems and guest issues Loudly in front of us.. and inappropriately dressed.. THIS WOULD BE LAST TIME WE VISIT! Sooo saddddd

I stopped in at this place for the world cup thinking it would be a nice place to watch the game. Big mistake! Almost $11 for a single beer, I was shocked! And it was watered down. I only left a tip because I felt sorry for the server, place was nearly deserted. It's a shame because it was a nice place a few years ago, but now I'd say don't bother.

I stopped at this spot cause a friend invited me. It's way out of my neighborhood so I wouldn't have ever found it otherwise. It's advertised as an Irish pub but when I drove up I was a little confused because there are large signs for shakes, wraps, sandwiches. However I noticed that there was a separate entrance for the pub. Upon entering I felt like I was in a real pub. It has dark wood millwork, dark green walls, beer signs everywhere and a nice array of beers on tap. Upon inspection, I found that they have a good selection of English beers and ciders along with a few local micro brews. I asked the bartender about drink specials and they had more than a few specials at very reasonable prices. I opted for a double Captain & come for $5....such a bargain. I was starving so I asked for a menu. They have a good variation of pub food, English fare and south Florida classics like grouper fingers. I thought that since I was in an English/ Irish pub I'd try one of their typical dishes. They offer Shepherds pie, Chicken pot pie and fish and chips. I asked the bartender and she emphatically suggested the fish and chips. For my 2nd drink I wanted a beer that would work well with the fish and chips so I went with a Fuller's ESB draft. I wish I could say that it was a perfect meal. It wasn't. The fish was oily, under seasoned and tasted like it came battered frozen. The chips we're obviously Sysco. I didn't even wanna finish it. To wash away the fish I chose a Magners on draft. My friends and I had a good time there, liked the ambience, service was very attentive but was not impressed by the food. I would go back for a drink but definitely forgo eating there.

This bar was a great stop :) Friendly service, casual vibes. We hung out here for a while and were well entertained

Nothing like the pub I knew. Smelled horrible, staff seems comatose, unfriendly dirty and overall gross. Mirrors on the walls looked like someone spit all over them. Shame use to be a great pub. Wouldn't order food if my life depended on it. Decor looks like it did years ago, owner should do a check on this place. Young crowd is great but doesn't bring in the kind of revenue this place could do with better management imo.

This is an old school haunt for us... and it never disappoints! Be sure to get a Black and Tan and duck tenders. Great, dark, English/Irish style pub with all the charm. They have an impressive variety of beers on tap and a great menu. Shepard's our is a favorite!

We just walked out - sat for 25 minutes not even a hello. Wanted to watch the USA v's England game 2 servers scheduled for a big sporting event. Embarrassing for an English pub not to be ready for a massive event every 4 years.

$8.00 a beer are you serious!? Came out here with 3 friends. How is a Guinness $9.00 and ciders $8.00 a piece??? Stay away from this rip off of a place. Total bill was $90. What a joke.

GREAT FOOD - GREAT SERVICE - NICE PATRONS Ye' Olde' Falcon Pub completely missed the mark on honoring Queen Elizebeth II. I expected to stand in a line to get in, thinking they would have some specials honoring Her Majesty but there weren't any signs of that. When I mentioned it to our sweet waitress, Karina, she said that would have been a good idea and she would tell the owner. That was at least a week after Her death. I don't know why he wouldn't have signs out front advertising the English Pub atmosphere and some pints of beer specials. Our Fish and Chips were AWESOME...just as always! We've been going here for many years and we can't beat it. Fish is coated nicely and fried to perfection. Super tasty especially with the Malt Vinegar poured in! YUMMY! The fries are steak fries - fat and crisp - just the way I like them! If you haven't been here...you gotta go! Full bar and a great pour! We got to know a table of couples that had been frequenting another fish and chips place nearby but they said it closed so they came to YOFP. They were happy to hear how much we enjoyed Ye Olde' Falcon Pub. Most of their group got the Fish and Chips and some got the Sheppards Pie. All of them enjoyed their meals, as did we. You get Drinks, Great Food and new friends! (They need something to bring in the crowds before they close like other long time restaurants in the neighborhood ie: Jade Garden Chinese Food) Karina may bring in the crowds since she was a super waitress and very sweet and attentive. Thanks Karina!!

This place is way out of line price-wise and is trying to compensate for no customers by over charging. NOBODY charges 2.75 for a soft drink and same for refills. Food is ok, but WAY overpriced as well. Probably struggling to pay overhead, the owner is the server, poor guy!

I love the falcon pub. It's imperfectly perfect. The drinks are strong and it's great people watching late night. Wings are huge and outstanding, Shepard's pie is incredible, and so is the fish and chips. It's what you want when you are looking for some good bar food and a stiff drink. As for the negative reviews, many mentioned that there was nowhere else open and it was late night, and they tried out Falcon pub one weekend. I can tell this, it's a college bar at night, and as such the antics will follow. Manager your expectations. If you don't want younger drunk patrons, go during the day, and not on a sat night. Just remember, it's a bar, not a church. Sit on the far side of the bar to the right with the regulars. Also stop being so soft. If you want your hand held and elevator music go to the cheese cake factory or another one of those corporate monsters, they will field your complaints. Falcon pub is a local spot, with local people and the bar has been doing it right for decades.

Not a bad place to hang out and have a couple of beers. Don't expect to go here and see any girls because it is mostly losers slouched over at the bar. It's always guys night out when you enter Falcon pub. Anyway, The hot wings are really good. They got a real wings master working in the back. Sal, the owner is a nice guy. They call him the leprechaun.

Falcon is a community staple! When you walk in, there could be music playing from all genres to the comedic karaoke sounds of people living out their fantasies of being rock stars/singers struggling to hit high notes. Falcon is it's own world, the bartenders are always laughing, smiling and joking. It's truly a great Pub! The food is always good and the drinks seem to be made out of love. I love this place!

First time I came it was their 20th anniversary. I've been to MANY pubs in my life and I have never saw this type of management appreciation for, not only its staff, but its patrons as well! As crowded as it was, we had an amazing time and vowed to come back. We did and had an even better time. Karaoke host ("KJ") Gary made it completely wonderful! We'll be regulars...oh heck yeah!!!

Went here for a trivia night and it was a lot of fun. Normally the Pub is really dark lit and has loud music playing, but for trivia night they turn down the music and light up the inside. It's actually quite nice and not as dive-y as I originally thought. I'm taking away a star after tonight's experience because our waitress was consistently not bringing drinks and what we ordered to the table. There was no communication between the two girls that were waiting on us. They BOTH were delayed and we eventually ended up with the same drink coming at the same time. My friend had to ask for his drink 2-3 times PER drink that he ordered. It was annoying and frustrating.

I've been coming to falcon pub for many year the service has gotten terrible now was there tonight at the bar and the and the bartender had a crappy attitude just being a D*** Was uncalled for I was told my food would be 20 minutes I didn't get it until an hour later at 30 minutes I asked how much longer he didn't respond let me check on it I politely asked him and his response was it usually takes 20 minutes I suggested that they should account for that if they see they are busy he looks at the window turns around and say 30 minutes I also think they have gotten new kitchen staff because honestly the wings are not good and we're burnt!

This was our second time here and our waitress informed us that they charge for refills. This has so many consequences that I will number them. 1- Next time we come to eat here, which we will, because the food is exceptional, we will not order soda. 2- Why not allow people who are ordering an individual meal to have free refills? I understand not wanting anyone sitting at the bar drinking Coke after Coke, but with a meal?! 3- A new customer walks in and as soon as they order a soda they are told that it does not include refills... you just lost a customer, because first impressions are everything! 4- If you still are not going to give free refills, you cannot charge $2.65 for a soda If you are coming to eat here the food and menu are great! Everything always tastes fresh! I highly recommend the lobster wrap.

Come here if you want to be ignored and wait 25-40 mins just to be served ....... This place is TERRIBLE!

Never going there again. The staff was friendly, but the food a drinks were very over priced. I ordered a margarita with don julio- I was charged $18 for what tasted like a pre made margarita mix. They charged me $11 for the margarita and an extra $7 for adding in the don julio. Also me not knowing it cost that much I ordered a total of 3 so I spent $54 dollars on margaritas that were at best just ok. Food was over priced as well and it was ok. Our bill came out to $117 which is ridiculous for mediocre margaritas and greasy food.

Horrible place owner threatened to call the police because we didn't like their flat beer. Bar tender looked like she wanted to fight me for not liking the beer never ever going back this place should b closed down.

My parents have been coming to this pub for years as locals to the area for well over 30 years. This is the first time back in a little over a year and a half. Service was good enough - felt very attended to by the staff. Drink prices were cheaper than food prices which is absolutely outrageous. We ordered 2 appetizers, a kids meal, and one drink with a bill over $60. As well, I was asked to produce my credit card and leave it to "open a tab" even though we were also ordering food - this felt very weird to me. Must be clientele is typically untrustworthy or management does not trust their patrons, either way it was a bit of a turnoff. In all if you're looking for a quick drink, not a bad place to go. If you're looking for a late night bite you'd be better off going anywhere else - $16 for an appetizer order of onion rings is not worth the amount nor quality of product received.

My friend Nicole V. called me yesterday around 6pm, after I had just woken up from a much need post work, hangover nap, and her immediate comment was "Savanna, you know nothing good ever happens at Ye Olde Falcon" lol. Well she's right! Truth is, I used to come to Falcon all the time with that same Nicole, so she would be one to know lol. She used to be quite the regular and I used to join her for some late night drinks, afternoon drinks, even drinks when I had lost my voice and the bartenders were nice enough to make me a hot toddy (complete with some melted butter). Falcon is one of those weird places that draws both the younger Nova crowd, as well as some seasoned alcoholics, and the occasional Brit who is looking for a piece of home (I used to come here with my dad quite a bit for the fish and chips!). Anyways, fast forward to now. After some Linner (yes that's lunch/dinner) near by, a few of us wanted to keep the party going. We originally planned to check out a Hookah Bar, but after than didn't work out I suggested Falcon for our alcohol needs. We ordered our first round at the bar but were encouraged to take over a large table in the "party room" which worked out great as we were a decent sized group. Janice and Coley (did I make those names up) were happy to keep our fun going and dealt with our shenanigans quite well. On top of our drinks we ordered some of the appetizers meant for sharing - spinach dip, nachos, fried pickles etc, most of which was pretty average, but the fried pickles were probably the best I've ever had! Falcon pub is a great spot if you're looking for a neighborhood drinking hole! PS. There may be some interesting pictures of lip tattoos....but I plead the 5th lol.
