"Yeah Burger closed in June after 12 years at Westside Provisions District, following a tumultuous two years in business for owners Erik Maier and Kelly Wallace, which began with the temporary closures of Yeah Burger on Howell Mill Road and in Virginia-Highland at the start of the pandemic. Yeah Burger never reopened in Virginia-Highland. The space is now home to a location of Farm Burger. The reopening of Yeah Burger on Howell Mill Road in November 2021 included the contentious debut of a much-hyped “100% plant-based” menu. But profit losses forced Maier and Wallace to return to serving meat on the menu just three months later." - Beth McKibben

"After closing at Westside Provisions District last April for renovations, Yeah Burger finally reopens Wednesday, November 17, debuting its much-hyped “100% plant-based” menu. In a twist that caught many of the organic burger joint’s loyal regulars by surprise, owners Erik Maier and Kelly Wallace announced in August plans to pivot Yeah Burger to a 100-percent, non-GMO menu free of any animal products. While some appeared excited about the shift away from meat and animal proteins, citing the detrimental environmental impacts of large-scale cattle farming on the climate, others vowed not to return once Yeah Burger reopened, lamenting losing their “favorite” burger in Atlanta. Maier told Eater at the time of the announcement, he and Wallace were revamping the menu with omnivores and flexitarians in mind. “Traditional monoculture farming and animal agriculture are causing the desertification of vast parts of our planet, and there isn’t enough land to support current meat consumption via pasture-raised methods, so something has to change,” Maier said in August of retooling the menu. “We want to be part of that change and believe it is our responsibility to adapt the business to better serve our mission with food that’s healthier for our environment, and our customers.” Companies such as Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat tout “saving the planet” by selling meat alternatives made from plants, claiming to replicate the texture, flavor, and even “bleed” like real beef. In addition to Beyond Meat beef patties and brats and vegan hot dogs, Yeah Burger will continue serving its burger patties made from vegetables and walnuts and gluten-free items, including the popular onion rings, fries, and Brussels sprouts. Yeah Burger now features an all-day breakfast section with sandwiches and burritos as well as Beyond chicken tenders, a selection of salads, and sandwiches, such as a meatball sub, a fish filet, and TLT with tempeh strips." - Beth McKibben

Overall, I enjoyed the food as a whole, especially the fries. I wasn’t blown away by the Black Bean Burger, and I’m looking forward to trying their other plant-based options. I was impressed with your ability to customize your order. Also, the wait was long for my food to arrive. It was an experience that I’m glad I had because the location and ambiance was rather enjoyable. It had a young business crowd that made it feel like the spot to eat at lunch time.

Not a fan. I had a bison burger with fries and a vanilla milkshake. The ingredients are super fresh, all the produce tasted great. The bison didn’t taste like anything, just a slab of tough meat. The milkshake was super thick, I couldn’t really enjoy it until later. It’s really expensive for a burger joint too, I think they’d put shake shack to shame lol. Won’t be coming back here.

Before the long closure with no communication, we used to frequent Yeah Burger. Once hearing that they had reopened we were excited to come back. Got here at 4:30 PM on a Thursday afternoon with only 3 other customers in the restaurant. Waited 40 minutes for our food. While we were waiting, we watched the guy wiping tables half way clean them and not pick up the napkin dispenser to clean under it or around it. Gross. A manager had to have shown up while we were waiting on our food because all of the kitchen staff disappeared and then magically reappeared wearing hair nets. And they let some guy off the street who wasn’t a customer come in and use the soda machine to fill up a metal bucket with ice. And who knows where that had been. Then the burgers came out and one burger had two tops and the other had two bottoms. One was supposed to have no onions or tomato and they left the tomato off but not the onion. Can’t believe I paid over $60 to wait 40 minutes for food that was wrong that they can’t even put together right and eat it at a partially cleaned table. Yeah Burger should have stayed closed if this is the best they can do.

You have to pay for extra sauce, so if you want some extra ketchup for your fries…your paying a $1 for a tablespoon of ketchup. The onion rings weren’t that good. If it weren’t for the extra sauce price, I’d give this place easily 5 stars, the burger was so good, best I’ve had in Atlanta. Shouldn’t have to pay for sauces to enjoy your fries or onion rings.

Excited that they switched to a fully plant based menu. The good: Hot honey chicken sandwich was great. PB&J burger was surprisingly delicious. Short line, fast service. The bad: Onion rings had great crunch but lacked flavor, and milk shake just tasted like sprinkles. I'm assuming it was an off night for the shakes as I've heard others rave about them. Definitely worth a visit. Hoping they work out the few kinks.

Super happy they decided to go vegan. It is also super awesome that they have gluten free options but I did not particularly enjoy the gluten free bun too much. They also have a lettuce wrap as an option as well. The earth burger with the walnut patty is definitely the best. On the other hand, the fries are super overpriced and you are given a small portion and they are pretty inconsistent. I spent $20 on 1 burger, 1 fry, and 1 drink!!

We had to Cali Burger with avocado. I think the meet was very flavorful. Everything taste very fresh. They did not have any fries left so I ended up getting the onion rings which taste really fresh and delicious. Pretty Good but kinda high priced

Great burgers... a little on the pricey side. Counter service with a build-your-own burger with a great deal of options. It’s a nice open concept with plenty of seating inside and out! And love the authentic “Mexican” cola on the fountain.
