When I found out about this spot I decided that I needed to go for breakfast and lunch/dinner because I love a good breakfast sammy, but I also love a good smash burger, and also I love a good chicken sando—oh and also my wife loves a good milkshake. So basically I had to order half the menu. It was a real big back thicc back day for me and I have no regrets.
The Fat Yeanie breakfast sandwich was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It has everything you could ever want in a breakfast sammy. It is stacked high with the works. The only thing you probably can't see in my picture is the souffle egg at the bottom of the container. (Excuse my shabby pics—I took everything to go and ate in the car with my wife since we had our dog with us.) The bacon was crispy, the hash brown was crispy, the sausage was juicy, the cheese was melty, the egg souffle was fluffy, the Yeanie sauce was smackin, the griddled onions were smoky sweet, and the brioche was perfectly toasted. All of the flavors worked perfectly together. Open wide for this one and it'll open wide the gates of breakfast heaven for your taste buds.
Next up—the classic smash burger with double patties and sesame brioche buns. I would like to preface that I've had some insanely good smash burgers from all over the place, but Yeanie's literally smashes them all and takes the new top spot for me. First off, if you want the perfect ratio of meat to bread to toppings to sauce, two patties is the way to go. Their angus beef is what set them apart for me. The quality of that cow is no joke—well seasoned, perfectly charred, and pleasantly juicy and tender to bite into. The classic sauce combo is also something I'm a huge fan of, and the bread, once again, was toasted just right. In terms of size, it's on the bigger end for a smash burger, so bring your appetite for this big boy burger. Big boy beautiful and delicious burger.
Let's take a detour to the mandatory fries. My wife and I were legitly shocked when we took our first bites. No joke, they were the best french fries we've ever had. They're called cwispy fries on the menu, and for good reason, because the are cwiiiiisssspyyyyy. No but seriously, they're literally the crispiest fries we've ever had. It has like a coat of crispness on top of the crispness. I don't know how they achieved this sorcery, but it's well seasoned sorcery that gives you the most satisfying crunch with each bite. Insane.
Speaking of insane, next we have the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The rub on that chicken is thicc and fried into the surface, covering that tender juicy white meat on the inside. I'm not a huge fan of white meat chicken, so I'm always pleasantly surprised when someone can make it as juicy and flavorful as dark meat naturally is. That's a real testament of skill. Anyways, back to the rub—the flavor is EXPLOSIVE. It will fight your taste buds and force it into submission, but like in the best way possible. The coleslaw had sweet pickled veggie notes that made it the perfect yin yang compliment to the dropkick the chicken gives your mouth. The spice is real in this one, yet doesn't subdue the insane flavor. It comes in waves but hurts so good. I'm a huge chicken sando buff, and this one rolls right in line with the top dawgs in my book.
Last but not least, the oreo milkshake with chocolate ice cream base. A well crafted and solid staple. The sweetness is just what you'd expect and the oreo ratio is just right, providing that satisfying crunch amid the thicc shake slurping action. It's the perfect partner to their burgers, fries, and can be a nice reprieve from the insane Nashville chicken sando while it delivers uppercuts to your taste buds.
The restaurant itself is super clean and fresh with their retro vintage diner deco. The staff is very warm and eager to answer any questions or help out with ordering, and they're quick with it while delivering the highest quality each time. Come get you some of the best burgers, sandos, and fries and pray before you eat because this gem is forreal a blessing. Amen
