We visited this restaurant and had an amazing experience. Everything was perfect ,each dish looked like a beautiful piece of art and tasted absolutely delicious. My favorite was the stone-shaped bun filled with galbi and blue cheese. it was so good that I still can’t stop thinking about it. I would definitely return just to eat it again. The staff were also very kind and attentive. As someone with allergies, I really appreciated that they were able to adjust several dishes using alternative ingredients so that I could enjoy every course as well.

I’ve been to 2 other Michelin star restaurants in Seoul and Y’east is by far my favorite. Personally, I enjoy flavors with lots of umami, sweetness and fragrant citrus zest and if you enjoy bold Asian flavors then this place will suite your palette. Every dish is an orchestra of flavors and ingredients that will keep your taste bud excited throughout the full course. The biggest highlight for me is the front row kitchen view where I can see the level of focus and intensity each chef put into their dish as well as the chef presenting the dish to us, it’s very fun to experience. My only nitpick is that my drink was a bit slow to be refilled and I didn’t want to break the chefs focus to ask for a drink refill. However, this is a trade off I’m happy to take to get to experience the chef cooking up close.

One of my favourite Michelin restaurants in Seoul. I had a beautiful time here. Really delicious creations and excellent wine pairing. Lovely service, lovely ambience in a cosy and intimate venue. Really good pricing. I was surprised by my favourite dishes as they were not what I’d usually enjoy! Perfect restaurant for solo dining.

Nice experience. Contemporary Korean dishes. But not mind blowing. Friendly staff but wish they explained the dishes a bit louder. My favourite was the crab meat with caviar and almond tofu. It was interesting how they put mala egg noodle and fried chicken at the end of the course. I’d have preferred a Korean noodle dish over mala.

A great experience from the moment we sat down. They take personal care to present each course and explain it, as well as the wine pairing. It was really fun to see them in action from our seats plating each course. With all of the good local cheap eats, if you’re looking to decide where to go for a few nice meals on your trip I really recommend this place because it highlights great food from all around the area, and the vibes are immaculate. As a bonus, we were asked what kind of food we wanted to eat, and they gave us a fabulous recommendation that we went to the next day and loved. Can’t recommend enough!

Y’east was a wonderful dining experience. We had the small private dining room for our wedding anniversary . The food is well thought out and has great respect for the ingredients. The presentation was clever and the instructions on how to actually approach each dish was a smart addition. We had the wine pairing and it was very much on point, the sommelier was a delight to chat with. The Chef came to our table many times during service and was very informative, I hope he enjoyed the bottle of Tasmanian Riesling we gifted him. It is a place that presents Eastern cuisine in a refined, modern way. I highly recommend it to anyone in Korea who wants to experience a unique and distinctive take on Asian gastronomy.

We had a fantastic experience at Y’east . The food was amazing, delicate and balanced, clearly thought out and executed very elegantly, exhibiting high technical skill. The suggested wine pairing is recommended, the sommelier has clearly thought out his suggestions and the list went well with each course. The atmosphere is dynamic, at the counter watching the chef(s) ? at work in preparation. We highly recommend this place and somehow, the experience embodies the dynamism of Seoul and its inhabitants. 18/4/25
