YC is the best. I’ve attended so many wonderful events here and the staff is incredible. 69 out of 10 stars

Google
Great drink specials and some themed for the event they had. There is a lot of outdoor and indoor seating. Stage and music was great! The girls bathrooms are decorated wonderfully and stocked with girly supplies. They even had tampon ghosts on a string with googly eyes adorned everywhere. Didn't try the pizza truck they had but it looked good. I will be back, really cool spot! Bartenders were super friendly.

Google
Great location and a great atmosphere. Great brunch in the morning. Great music in the evening. And always a solid changing selection of local beers. Yellow Cab it's one of my favorite Dayton locations.

Google
Yellow Cab was great! Fun relaxing environment with local live music. It definitely doesn’t hurt that Pizza Bandit is their food option. Amazing pizza with unique choices and flavors!! Can’t wait to go back!

Google
Yellow Cab always has great beer on tap. We go for happy hour and can beat the prices. Staff is always kind and considerate. There are many bands performing and I’ve heard the pizza was good as well.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh I love this place! It has such nice people, super kickass pizza, and good drinks 🤩 Came for charity bingo and I'll probably come back for trivia and karaoke and just chillin' - super good vibes.

Yelp
Great service and personable staff! Tasty drinks! Tasteful music! Staff is knowledgeable about bands that have preformed here and food truck availability.

Yelp
Yellow Cab Tavern is a laid-back spot for pizza and beer. Order at the counter, choose from a few pizza options by the slice or pie, and pair with a decent beer selection. Friendly staff and relaxed vibe make for an enjoyable night out.

Yelp
Been to a few shows here. Bar service is always fast and friendly. They even have mocktails on the menu. Food service is just ok. You never know if the pizza place is going to close early. Nice outdoor patio area, the indoor space is nothing to write home about but it's fine for a small venue.

Yelp
This is definitely a dive bar along with music venue. I came late afternoon to pickup my Dayton Ale Trail completion reward. The beertender was friendly and helpful. They did have a couple local beers on tap. A pizza food truck was setting up outside. There is a large dedicated parking lot and quite a nice patio. It might be interesting to come back here for a show at some point.

Yelp
One of my new favorite spots for sure. I come to Yellow Cab for book club but the staff is fantastic, the drinks are great, and the speciality pizza from Pizza Bandit always slaps. I can see myself coming here on the regular especially when they are hosting events. I would recommend Yellow Cab to anyone looking for a new local bar to frequent.

Yelp
Their silent disco was so fun! Thats the most fun I've had dancing in a long time. Their drink service was very quick and some DJs were giving away free shots.

Yelp
the food is delicious and fresh, the service was great, great enough to make me spend a little extra on some ice cream after my pizza, and the environment was laid back and welcoming. they had live music when i went and the energy was just amazing. will be going back soon :)

Yelp
The people who work here are rude and unwelcoming. I don't feel welcome with the staff

Yelp
Love the yellow cab! Great place to grab a drink with friends. Highly recommend. They have a bunch of events that go on weekly too which are fun. Beer buckets are reasonably priced.

Yelp
Stoped by for quick drink. They have nice happy hour 3-6pm. Might be only min-Friday though. Double check. Great place! Would come back but moving states! Peace out Ohio!

Yelp
We came here to use a gift card and it turned out to be a chill experience. The building has a rustic feel to it which really means it's a good place for grabbing a dark beer after a long day. Service is great and they have pizza for order in the bar by the Pizza Bandits (I think that's the name) and it seemed quite popular.

Yelp
We came here for a concert and it was awesome!!! Parking was easy, the environment was casual with plenty of room to stand. The beer selection was okay, not a wide range but what they did have was good! They have plenty of liquors if you're into that, too. There is usually a food truck here which is great. Everyone here is very nice and friendly which always makes a night better. Definitely worth stopping here!

Yelp
Depressing as Dayton has so few live music places. A good booker/promoter would be a start in turning it around.

Yelp
This space is more like a community than a venue! The Yellow Cab has taken the place of the old wonderful Canal Street in the hearts of the Dayton music community. If you are looking for community, music and friendship then you have come to the right place. The bar staff are amazing and the permanent Pizza Bandit food truck has your hunger taken care of. This is the place.

Yelp
We came here for a food truck festival (Sunday brunch) but were not sure what to expect. But we enjoyed it sufficiently that we will be back again for more events. The food trucks were parked outside the building, you bought food there to bring it inside, and then we bought beers from Yellow Cab to complement the dishes. Awesome combination. Folks at the bar were fun and friendly and efficient. And the beer selection, while not huge, had a decent number of local craft brews (never understand while all bars around here don't do a better job of promoting local beers).

Yelp
Pizza Bandit, comedy, silent disco, craft beer, chill vibes. What more could you ask for from a local pub?

Yelp
Girl with the bad acne never smiled at us, waited minutes before serving us because she was playing on her phone and didn't care that my pregnant wife ate at a table full of dead roaches. I tip a lot. Service industry is hard. But tipping an unhelpful bartender and a very helpful pizza guy seems stupid. We barely got to eat and my wife drank an entire glass of gingerale before we found bug carcasses. I ended up taking her to McDonald's.

Yelp
They delete bad reviews on their Google profile. I complained to the bartender about the dead cockroaches beneath our booth and she rolled her eyes.

Yelp
If I could leave a 0 star review, I absolutely would. Yellow Cab is the most pretentious bar I've ever been to. They hosted a Halloween wrestling show in one room, and had a punk/metal show in the main room. One of the best local bands was headlining, and were told to "get their shit and get the fuck out" before they even went on stage. Because for their Halloween show, they poured fake blood on themselves outside and it got on the outdoor patio. Whomever was the 5ft blonde woman in the skeleton pajamas working there, was actually the rudest bar staff member I've ever met, and complained about having to stay until 3am cleaning up blood, as if their bar isn't open until 2:30am anyway. Here's what transgressed! Word gets around, the crowd starts chanting the name of the band, and getting upset. A handful of customers also had fake blood on them. Aforementioned blonde tells me they aren't kicking out customers, and that we need to tone it down. She then has security have myself & all my friends kicked out. Nearly the whole bar follows. We stood outside the property waiting for the rest of our friends and were able to see them clean up the fake blood with 3 buckets of hot soapy water. Within minutes the blood was cleaned up. They threatened to call the cops on us for loitering. So all in all, no one from last night will be returning. They kicked out a bar full of people for a 5 minute cleanup mess on Halloween weekend. Oh, might I add that they deleted my comments on their event post from last night and have prevented me from leaving a Facebook review. Extremely professional!

Yelp
It's pretty cool when old unused buildings are repurposed. I think making a music hall/tavern was the perfect choice of an old cab company. It almost reminded me of a speakeasy from the outside. Acoustics were on target.

Yelp
The short: Yellow Cab staff kicked out a band and all of their fans during a halloween festival over fake blood on the ground outside. These guys kicked an entire bar of people out, who piror were not being disrespectful or rowdy, because some of the band members went outside to put on easy-wash fake blood for their performance costumes, and those that didn't think that was right said so were immediately kicked out. Mind you, this was for a halloween show that was also hosting a wrestling show in the next room. Loose props and loose face paint or fake blood is going to wind up somewhere in or out of the bar. The amount of blood in question was small tube, and the amount if blood spilled outside was a small puddle barely bigger than a foot. After they kicked us out, we watched them from the side walk as they took 15-30 seconds to throw hot water and pressure wash it, then went back inside and proceeded to make others leave. These guys are pretentious, disrespectful, and do not care about local dayton projects if it means a little clean up and putting their hipster image in jeopardy.

Yelp
In short, don't book a halloween punk and metal show if you can't handle a halloween punk and metal show. To begin, while Bundy and the Spins were playing they nearly kicked out a patron. The guy was getting in to the band and having fun during a punk performance. At one point he did a mini stage dive off of their stage which is only 1 foot off the ground. A bartender immediately came to talk to him. He did not stage dive again, but stayed a little rowdy. They then sent security out to stand and watch him. Overall, a less rowdy crowd than Bundy and the Spins typically sees. After Bundy finished, some wrestling began and the headliner, Funeral Moon, began setting up. During this time, 3 members stepped out onto the patio to apply some fake blood. When they walked in, staff immediately approached them telling them they were "disrespectful" for the fake blood. A moment passes and the band members come back in and I can overhear "We're packing up, the show's cancelled." I looked where the band had walked and there were all of 2 drops of fake blood on the ground. I commented as such to my friends. The bartender overheard this and insisted it was a huge mess outside. One of my friends asked why they're not kicking out everyone with fake blood on (as they were also wearing fake blood). The staff told us "This doesn't concern you I don't know why you even care." A moment later security comes and tells us we need to leave. As I'm waiting to cash out, I first hear another patron comment that he thought the bar was making a big mistake. The bartender responded with "Well a lot of mistakes have been made tonight." A chant of "FUNERAL MOON" broke up from a solid 60-70% of the bar patrons as they were the headlining band and had been promoting the show relentlessly for the past month. When I was finally up to pay, the bartender stated "I'll just assume no tip" and skipped the tip screen on their payment terminal, to which I apologized. The bartender then claimed "My tip will be staying up until 3am cleaning fake blood." To which I responded, its water soluble, pour water on it. Ignoring the fact that they're scheduled to be open until 2:30 am on Saturday anyway and likely would have had paying customers the whole time. Instead, they were kicking out more than half the bar at 11:30pm on the Saturday before Halloween. As I stepped out they poured their second bucket of warm soapy water on the concrete patio and it was nearly clean already. My friends and I stood on the sidewalk, off their property, waiting for everyone to gather. As we did we saw them pour one more bucket of water, wipe one spot on the ground, and finish cleaning. In this time security stated if we did not leave they would call the cops. As soon as everyone was together, we left. We found out later they DID call the cops. To top it off, they have removed multiple negative comments on the event page and blocked at least one person who has left them. Not a good look. I'm curious if Yellow Cab knew anything of the bands they were booking. Funeral Moon routinely either pours fake blood on stage, spits fake blood, or smashes beer cans open on their foreheads. I can't imagine how they'd have reacted if they'd done that during their performance. I will not be returning. I will not be recommending this venue to anyone for any reason. I imagine that will be the same for others.

Yelp
Great music. Have been to many shows with different music and all good. Courtious staff and friendly patrons. Well balanced art shows. All around good place to hang out. I especially like the acoustic music.

Yelp
Here for the First Annual BBQ Rodeo. Amazing BBQ. Great Blues music. Good local brews. Can't wait for next year's Rodeo!
