Chef creations delighted me - he made choices in pairings with fish I hadn’t experienced before and each bite was a new interesting discovery. Also, my waiter Ross was incredibly attentive and thorough in his stellar service. I highly recommend Yellowtail! -Tait

This was our first time at Yellowtail. Shane was an absolute delight! Very nice, relatable, informative, and made a couple of excellent suggestions for our meal .. we arrived just 7 minutes before Happy Hour ended, which he informed us on, so we were able to get a couple drinks, and an appetizer from the Happy Hour menu. The sushi was very fresh, the Nigiri was MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, and the drinks were delicious! We will DEFINITELY be back! ( Please excuse my photo taking skills, I don't normally do that)

The food is amazing, the staff is extremely attentive. Our server Ross, was amazing, everything he recommended was on point and the food was exquisite. Get the Geisha Flight, the nigiri, and the baked mussels- you won't be disappointed.

Dinner was good. Same meal you get at a hibachi restaurant without the show. They have many, many different types of sushi. I believe it’s more of a late night bar than restaurant. Every thing food wise shuts down at 10 but they stay open till 2AM Friday-Saturday with a DJ. I got the filet and lobster. Fillet was great cooked perfect medium rare. What I didn’t like was the smell of fish I got when plate came out. Lobster pieces about the size of sugar cubes. Prefer larger lumps but maybe they would have taste like the smell. I did finish my plate but always have a to go when eat at hibachi place. Same price as the show you get at hibachi restaurant with less quantity. But bare in mind your downtown Dallas by American Airlines center and rent is $$$$$$$$$$

Stopped by as it was one of the only sushi places that closes late. If you’re not into the party/club scene I would skip especially at night. We sat in the dining area and couldn’t hear each other because the music upstairs was so loud and causing everyone downstairs to speak louder. The service was very eh. As for food, the gyoza was very good I loved the ponzu sauce it was paired with. The sushi rolls had some quality but took a bit to come out and the flavors weren’t that great. The scallions and mushrooms on my roll were pretty flavorless with the sauce maybe giving it a little more flavor. The slices of mango and cucumber didn’t really taste as fresh as I’d like and I kind of felt let down for the price. I would maybe come back down the line to try this place again but as for now I’m not that big of a fan.

This place is a gem! So close to AAC and the best part, the food, cocktails and service are amazing! Ross our server was super knowledgeable about the dishes, ingredients and beverages served here and we were so impressed. This was a quick stop but definitely returning.

This is our go to place and Ross is always attentive of everything. Our experience is so much better when he’s attending us! Food & Drinks are amazing and Ross is quick with our orders. Thank you Ross for making our experience great every time!

very disappointing, surprised this place is rated so highly. you're only paying for ambience. don't expect good japanese food, just a late night/bar spot when nothing else is open. note kitchen closes at 11pm & as a group of 6, a 20% gratuity is already included Our server Ross was awful and unprofessional. Forgot to place one of our orders completely, and when he got another order wrong, he argued back and told us it was our mistake. He also rushed when taking our dishes, trying to take them while we are mid bite or still had food on our plates D: I can tell he was trying to head home early Overall food is very average. Like another reviewer said, the teppanyaki section is the same food you can get at hibachi but without the show. steak is not worth the price, the raw fish is very bland, and sushi nothing special. everything is very saucy and overpriced. I also ordered the Ahi Tower since it was pretty in photos, but our server mashed it upon arrival LOL (see photo) ??? like whats the point of a pretty dish if itll just get destroyed for you lmao makes sense why this place was pretty empty for a saturday night :(
