World's best Banh Mi sandwiches, now they've closed down, it's more heartbreaking than if Lionel Richie was to sing about this place. To a blind girl. A student of his, no less.

I've been alone with Yelo inside my mind
And in my dreams I've eaten their Banh Mi a thousand times
I sometimes walk by, pass outside their door
Yelo, is it me you're looking for?
You can see it in my eyes, you can see it in my smile
Yelo's all I've ever wanted and my mouth is open wide
'Cause they know just how to bake, and they make Banh Mi to go,
And I want to tell you so much, I love Yelo
I long to see the sunlight in your hair
And drive to Katy Asian Town, and see you there
Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow
Yelo, I've just got to let you know
'Cause I wonder where you eat, and I wonder now with who?
Are you somewhere feeling hungry or is someone feeding you?
Tell me how many to get, for I'm hungry enough for two
But let me start by saying, Yelo, I love you
Some of the best sandwiches we've ever had, and quite possibly the best sandwich shop in Houston. I was excited to review it, and to send everyone I know here. I eat here every single time I come to Katy, and Barbi loves it even more than I do...
So it was something of a tragedy when it turned out that they were closing down. I sort of expected it, it's never gotten as much credit or business as it deserves, or as its neighbour and parent restaurant Phat Eatery does, but it's a miserable thing. We miss them desperately and we hope that they come back.
We've heard that their menu is going to be added to the restaurant next door, which is so successful that it's the reason why this place has been shut down, because the restaurant expanded and swallowed up Yelo due to needing (? not sure needing is the right word) more space.
I'm just hoping that sooner or later they will put these beautiful sandwiches back on the menu. We miss it so much, and the service was really wonderful, especially the amazing girl from Mexico who Barbi got along very well with, partly because Barbi is Mexican but partly because she is just so lovely inside and out. She served us the last time we came in here too. Little did we know, it would be our last visit.
They will be missed, and we will be craving for them to come back - especially Barbi, who is obsessed with their sandwiches. Only this one place in Chinatown Manhattan New York comes close to the taste, and the type of product too, as they have a Curry Chicken Banh Mi up there which is, I dare say, as good or better, than the one they concocted here at the recently deceased masterpiece that we are still in mourning for.
I miss them.
In order to not love these sandwiches, you'd have to be a blind person, making a creepy clay statue of Lionel Richie, one which looks more like a Lion than an actual person.
Yelo, is it me you're looking for?
