Staff were nice. Food was cold and seemed microwaved and oily. Very large portions which is good but spoiled the next day.

The Mongolian beef and lettuce wraps are my absolute favorites here. The food remains constant throughout the years. The best Chinese food in Greenville. Friendly staff with people who have been there for years

Everyone was friendly and our waiter was very attentive. We received a lot of food for ordering two appetizers and two entrees. We ended up bringing enough food home for at least two more meals. My only problem was that I would have liked more chow mien and less vegetables. It was our first time there, so it was a learning experience. We will definitely return.

We had a great experience I haven’t found a Chinese restaurant that tastes this great in a while. Tobi had a wonderful personality and great hospitality along with our server Jesse.

Pros: extra large portion sizes of entrees to go, wonton soup was so hot, large and awesome! Orange chicken was good w/lots of sauce, food was scorching hot and fresh! Manger was checking every order and trying to get to go orders out (there were 5 people waiting when I was there) Cons: front cashier was not friendly, food was ordered online w/pick up at 5:35- food was not ready until 5:58 (since we were traveling through this was a major headache), no sauces were in the bag, husband did not like Kung Pao Chicken, he said the chicken tasted old and had no spice, they upcharged $3 for a very small side or lo mein to go with meal that was plain noodles Overall: ordering in app was easy but don’t believe the estimated time, food is abundant but not the best, cheap for what you get but beware of old chicken. Would not stop again the next time in Greenville unless I just wanted some good won ton soup (the only thing we ordered I would eat again).

Even though they were to close at 9, and we got there at 8, they were very happy to us. They didn't rush us or anything. The food was great and if you can't tell by my pictures the portions are very generous. Once again if you're in Greenville TX or find yourself passing through, you need to stop at this place. You won't regret your decision.

This is not a buffet restaurant, and the superior quality of the food proves that. Been dining here since 1994 and have never been disappointed. Classy, quiet atmosphere and attentive staff. Love the Hot and Sour soup.

This place has been open since the 1970's , Tthat tells you it's in business for a while and keeping customers happy. Great selection and variety of food choices. Awesome wait staff and cool decor, food comes out hot and ready full of flavor. I live and Houston but I will return when ever I. Close by.

I've lived in Asia. I've also eaten at Chinese restaurants all over Houston and DFW. Except for the hot and sour soup this was by far the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. I had the "happy family" and it did not make me happy. I could barely eat it. I would never go back and I would not recommend it.

Bad... if I capsule leave this review at just ONE word. BAD is it. Each to go box I opened just got More Disgusting then the last. Based on who was filling the dining room. I understand the 4 STAR rating. It's not Quality that's for Damn Sure!!

Food was mediocre lemon chicken didn't have much flavor to it, the Happy Family was a little over salted the shrimp in the combination fried rice was not cleaned so still had the bio ducts, but the hot and sour soup was good seemed to be fresh made. Our waiter was very nice and prompt, the establishment was clean.

Yen Jing used to be our favorite "special " restaurant. Lately the food has become substandard. Last night was the end for us. I ordered pepper steak, orange chicken and potstickers to go. Not only was the food very bland but I started getting sick before I left the table. I ended up spending my husband's birthday throwing up.

This was our go to place for delicious Chinese. Then the quality of food really tanked, so we quit going there. Friends said it had returned to the quality we'd long appreciated, so we tried them again, and our friends were right, the food was once again great. However, we went last week and it was so far below our expectations, and the server was a young man who seemed to be lost. I think he was trying to provide good service, but he is not quite there yet with his skill level. There are now signs on all the walls saying "please pay at table", which was a new practice. Yet when our bill came and we handed him the money, he seemed lost and asked if we wanted him to handle the bill instead of taking it to the front. So, rambling a bit, but I am thinking we wont be making a trip to Greenville for Chinese food any time soon.

Ok We're impressed. TONS of great food for a great price! We had the pu-pu platter, orange chicken, mushroom chicken, sesame chicken, and beef fried rice. The service was very good and the food was great! Neat looking "old school Chinese restaurant" vibe too. Clean, friendly - nothing bad to say at all!!

Every time I've come here I've really enjoyed my experience, even when I just get my food to go the food has been phenomenal.

The food was astounding and ambience was very classy. I was met with friendly faces and the service was quick and excellent. They've made some major changes since I last went, from the quality of ingredients to the quality of care. I am so glad I gave them a second chance. No bugs, as other reviews mentioned. I didn't see a single one and I looked.

Always hot, fresh and delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. The order is 100% accurate and the folks working there are always customer friendly. Highly recommended

Very nice people but the food absolutely is not good. Girlfriend recommended because it's all she knows but ... I'll probably go back for her but would not recommend to anyone that's had good Chinese food.

I've been to Yen Jing multiple times and it has never disappointed. Their food is incredible, and their portions are as well. My family never eats leftovers, but the ones we bring home from here are definitely an exception to that! The food doesn't last longer than a day at my house. The service is incredible every time I come in. You can't go wrong with anything on the Menu, but these are a couple of my favorites that I get every time. Mandarin Beef, hot & sour soup, crab rangoon, dumpling/pot stickers.

Went to this place based on the good reviews. Inside was empty and looked a little run down. Food came out with all the right smells (to-go). Took one bite just to bite into eggshell and fatty chicken. Boyfriend said his Sesame Chicken was flavorless. Maybe just a bad day? However I would prefer frozen section instead.

This place was recommended to me because I was looking for someone who made Egg Foo Young. This restaurant in AMAZING! Not only was I able to order Egg Foo Young, it came to me in a generous portion. We also ordered Sesame Chicken and Curry Chicken. We were served these huge portions; then, a very generous amount of Fried Rice was served and our waiter said that he could bring more if we needed more. Needless to say, we did NOT need more! We also order their egg rolls which were very good. Our server...Jesse...was very attentive and kept checking us. We all thought the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food that was served. We would definitely go there again!

Used to come here a lot as a teenager and loved it back then. Finally, after all of these years, I went back. The service was outstanding and the restaurant looks just like it did before so the nostalgia was very real. However, the food is not what I remember it being. Just basic... I got the garlic chicken and the sauce was a tad bit salty. The sizzling rice soup has so much celery that we had to pick it out. I don't remember it being more of a celery kind of soup. Still, it was good with a dash of soy sauce. Be warned that this is a "family style" restaurant and one dish will feed many. Another key point I forgot as well as the party I was with. We had enough food to feed 20 people and there was only 8 of us. Lol. That's a really nice thing though. You get a whole lot of food for a really great price. Just wish it tasted better.

Spraying for roaches more often. I was sitting in the front area waiting for a to go order when a roach came crawling out of the sofa and across my purse.! I have also seen roaches in a restroom and dining area.

This place should be shut down!! Last time I was in there there were roaches, crawling up the wall by my table!! I got the hot and sour soup which was OK & Hunan Chicken, but I could not continue to eat because it was so dark & disgusting in there. I ate a little but of the Hunan Chicken, but got the rest to go. When I got home into good lighting, I was horrified by what I saw. I had already eaten some of it, and I proceeded to get violently ill. This was right before they were shut down! I will never step foot into that restaurant again!! Absolutely disgusting!!

Delish!! Mom and I shared the Hunan chicken lunch and we are both full! Servings are a very nice size. We only added an egg roll because we like them so much we can't share! ;) It is a bit dark for me but very quiet atmosphere. We were there after lunch crowd so it was quiet. The server fella is nice every time we come in. Others are nice too. Thanks Yen Jing!!

Just eat here today . Great spot for Chinese food . Nice decoration with soft music. You will feel to stay there longer. I will be back

Good portions, sides came with meal. I got no seeds on mine, it was good but I should've got grilled chicken instead. The sauce was a little overwhelming for me. We also ordered the black mushroom chicken and the garlic chicken with fried rice, they both enjoyed theirs.

The food was really delicious and the staff was very kind. It had a nice ambiance and was well-kept. I recommend this place!

Best Chinese food in all of Texas! We drive an hour and a half just to eat Yen Jing.

Our first time eating here since we moved to Greenville a year ago. Food is delicious! Fresh, not overly greasy or salty. Very good, highly recommend you stop on by! We will be very loyal customers!

Came here for dinner one evening. Staff was really nice. Is an older restaurant but was clean. The food was great and we got plenty to take home. Flavor was great. The inside is Asian decor. Price was great also. They are local so give them a try.

SO impressed with this restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is phenomenal. HIGHLY recommend the Mu Shu Pork and cream cheese wontons. By far one of our favorites in Greenville!

The food itself didn't taste bad, but when you leave, you are thinking by the weight of the order that you are going to have a huge portion. That's about half correct. IF you count that the weight consists of 85% all RICE! And I was truly shocked when I paid my bill. $35 for TWO people???? That's highway robbery just for some rice. The restaurant itself had a relaxed ambiance and the employees were friendly. I just can't afford to pay $35 for 2 people to eat enough rice to last all week!

I have been going to Yen Jing for years and they are consistent in service (very good) as well as the food (wonderful). This is a great place to bring friends and share, because the portions are large, or to gather for long conversation and good food. The food tends towards lots of meat and veggies in a sauce, and after you have been a few times you will probably develop your favorites (hello, Twice Cooked Pork and Poo Poo platter). They have reduced the menu over the years, but not the dishes, so if you see something you want, but it is not on the menu (like sesame tofu), they will still make it for you. Also, the jasmine tea comes hot or cold.

Food was good ample servings and the wonton soup is the best. Only wish they had a half portion of the combination fried rice.

Absolutely was craving Chinese and this place was amazing! Above and beyond great service! I went during lunch service and the amount food and the vibe of the place was just perfect! Definitely recommend eating here!

This Chinese restaurant is wonderful with it's family size servings and attendance to our needs. Sweet and sour, cashew chickens and shrimp appetizers were excellent like always!

My wife and I felt like getting some Chinese food for lunch. We are new to the area and didn't want the standard buffet fare which tends to be bland and generic. A few locals recommended Yen Jing. The food was fantastic. I've lived an 5 states and have traveled extensively with my job. This was probably one of the best tasting Chinese restaurants I have eaten at. Everything was fresh and had great flavor, the hot and sour soup, side of crab ragoon and my mandarin beef dish. Five hours later and I am still full. My wife brought bald her lunch home because they provided so much. I'm looking forward to eating her left over. We had a very cheerful and attentive waiter. Definitely will be going back.

Large portions. I had the yen Jing fried rice. It was okay, but wanted it more spicey.

Stopped in for lunch. We were there when they opened at 11am, and so were several other people! We were quickly seated and offered menus. After making our selections, the very attentive young waiter brought us some delicious crunchies and our choice of soup (Egg Drop). This was not the usual buffet with tired looking food that everyone pokes at, but proper tables and waitstaff. My partner chose the Mandarin Beef & I chose the Happy Family Meal, which was a mixture of chicken, pork & shrimp. Both meals came complete with vegetables and egg rolls. The portions were gigantic and so delicious! We asked for "take away" boxes and I noticed that just about everyone else left the restaurant with a box of their leftovers! This was our first visit and will certainly not be our last.

Only order one meal or off the senior list if you have to have separate meals because one dish serves four people or two Cajuns. All the appetizers are a good choice, the crab ragun and the egg rolls are my favorite, you just can't miss those. Everything is beyond good with one and only one exception the fried rice, it's no longer fried.

The older lady with short hair working in the kitchen and front area was incredibly rude.
