Well I think I was been lucky, I was here first time 2 years ago and came back in November. We showed up hoping to get a spot and each time 2 spaces were left, perfect for us.
The food is delicious and very filling for the price also. It feels very authentic to the Asian culture to sit in the type of horseshoe around the staff.
Would 10/10 recommend to visit when in or near hongdae. They have cute cafes near to visit after a meal, as we learned is an unspoken rule in Korea😇

Love this place! I come here everytime I’m in Korea. The first floor is a bit small but there’s more seating on the second floor (I assume for bigger groups since I’ve only come alone or with one other friend). You’re greeted, seated, and given a bowl of hot miso soup immediately when you enter. You do have to pay first for your meal, which is common in most restaurants here.
We got the salmon rice bowl and the big salmon nigiri. The sauces for both were so unique and delicious! There’s no soy sauce because everything is already perfectly seasoned. I’ve had the salmon noodles from here before and recommend all 3 dishes.

Small Japanese restaurant with large portion of food. Jumbo salmon sushi. Nice food. Recommended when you hungry and want Japanese food.

Delicious Japanese-fusion food in Yeonnam-dong (just across Hongdae)! There're 4-5 dishes on the menu. We've tried salmon kimbab. The roll is big, with lots of fillings. Great combination! The other dish is fried chicken rice, topped with mayo and red sauce, which is sweet and a little bit spicy. The resterant is pretty popular but has small space, so if you come at exact lunch and dinner time, you might have to wait.
