I'm pretty sure it's a universal rule that great cocktail bars have crappy food. Therefore Ye's Apothecary is probably violating some major cosmic law and it's only a matter of time before Thanos appears and snaps half of us into oblivion.
But until then, I will be content to enjoy a place that does both fantastic drinks AND fantastic food. Let's dig in:
The Street Skewers will melt in your mouth while they tantalize your taste buds with spices not found in the Western Hemisphere. The Fragrant Yellow Beef will equally tenderize your tongue while making you give thanks for our four-legged bovine friends (whom we eat).
Continue with the frequently overlooked Salt n' Pepper Fritto Misto, a nicely breaded (and not overly so) hodge podge of fruits of the sea. And if you're still feeling peckish (as we were), consider the tried and true Sichuan Wontons, which come swimming in a delicious, soupy chili oil.
Libation-wise, we tried the baijiu-centric Red Sorghum, a tasty choice if you like China's vodka, and the more mellow Bird's Nest.
Throw in the unapologetically sultry sexy Wong Kar-Wai decor, and you have a fab spot for girls night, boys night, date night, and really, any night that involves food and drink.
