A Maple Leaf favorite for Bangkok-style cooking, generous hospitality, and fun bar drinks—locals rave about khao soi, crispy garlic chicken, and fried enoki mushrooms. The owners’ note and posted hours confirm the restaurant’s current operation.

This was our second time at this restaurant. The first visit months ago was great — we came based on reviews and were happy. But this recent experience was disappointing. My husband’s Shrimp Pad Thai was overly chewy — he usually finishes Pad Thai, but barely ate half. I tried it too and agree — it was the worst he’s had in years. I ordered the Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork instead of my usual dish, and it was inedible. The pork was so tough I could barely chew it, and I ended up with bad heartburn — which I rarely get. The only decent part was the rice. We also had the Crab wontons, which were over-fried with barely any filling — just crunchy dough. When we mentioned it to the server, she dismissed it, saying “That’s how they’re supposed to be.” She also didn’t offer to adjust the bill or show any concern. We mentioned the Pad Thai too, and were told the chef will be “more careful next time” — but that doesn’t help us now. On top of that, the Thai iced tea came overly sweet despite requesting 50% sugar, and no one asked about spice levels when ordering. It feels like the restaurant is relying too much on its reputation and no longer delivers the quality or care. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

We grabbed take out from here and were blown away! The food was piping hot, packaged well, and the flavor was perfect. The crab fried rice was the best fried rice I've ever had.

Sara

Google
Yuck I have never seen a pad Thai soaked in so much shit Sauce. It looks nothing like the picture on their website. It’s nothing authentic. They just drenched it in gross red sauce.

We had the most amazing lunch here! Yes Siam is now one of my all-time favorite places for Thai food, and that’s saying a lot with how many awesome Thai restaurants are in the Seattle area! Such sweet and kind staff, excellent service, and incredible dishes - highly recommend the crispy rice salad (not too salty and just the right amount of dressing), deep-fried enoki mushroom (huge portions with the most flavorful sauce), and crispy garlic chicken (again delicious and generous portions)! Thank you for a wonderful experience, we cannot wait to return! ☺️

Rachit Raj Shrestha

Google
The best Thai spot in Seattle! Me and my partner have tried almost everything on the menu at this point and are yet to be disappointed! Love the food and the people there!

Google
We had the best experience of Thai food here, authentic taste, feel like being home in Thailand. Very impress with Thai southern fried chicken, serving together with yellow curry dip! (Dip was so so good!!) holy hot basil and chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly also great dish for sharing 🤭 we’re all love it! Can’t wait for trying new menu next time!!😋🤩🤭

Google
This is our very favorite Thai spot, luckily right near our home in Lake City. We have our tried-and-true favorites—the crispy garlic chicken and the crispy rice salad are INCREDIBLE. But whenever we try new dishes, we are always mind blown! There isn’t a single bad thing on this menu. Plus, the staff is super warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is always comfortable. There is almost never a wait. Can’t recommend it enough!!

Google
Delicious Thai food in the Maple Leaf neighborhood. Got some quick take out here. Lovely atmosphere featuring dark wood, a bar, and dining tables. Very quick and friendly service. I got the Pad Kee Mao with chicken. Abundant portions mean one order will be two meals for me. Very reasonably priced. The chicken was tender and the vegetables fresh. Lots of flavor and plenty of sauce. I look forward to coming back to try more! PS If you found this review helpful, please "heart" it. Thank you!

Yelp
Best Thai Food in town! You can get traditional Thai food or some fusion dishes which I love it a lot! Highly recommend the Deep fried Enoki Mushroom!! The sauce is amazing! Also, the cocktails are so good. Staff are super friendly. I love the vibe!!!

Yelp
Great food, good portions & not expensive I placed my order online and it was a very easy transaction. Will definitely return

Yelp
This is a pretty nice spot, good for a more casual date night. Service was attentive and friendly. We had the crispy garlic chicken with brown rice and the waterfall beef salad. While we finished everything, the flavors leaned a bit too fusion-style for my taste, so I probably wouldn't return.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood spot with an extensive menu and reasonable prices (seems a few dollars cheaper per dish than other thai places I frequent). curries and noodles are solid, but I keep coming back to the khao soi here, which makes sense since it has both curry and noodles. There is a full bar here as well, including a decent selection of craft beers on tap as well as liquor. Service is fast and friendly and there is plenty of parking out back. Their hours are a little more limited but other than that, a great spot for Thai food in North Seattle.

Yelp
Atmosphere is a little dive-y in a cool way, and the food is excellent and service was terrific. They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Some dishes are standard Thai restaurant fare, and some are a little unusual, like green curry spaghetti (which was awesome). Our party had fried tofu, shrimp tempura, green papaya salad, a few rice dishes, and a few noodle dishes, and it was all super tasty with large enough portions that we had second meals from the leftovers.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Great food and service. They're always so nice anytime I come in. I got the pork larb and it was so good. The mango coconut sticky rice dessert was delicious!! The coconut sauce that it comes with is on another level. I'm glad to have the restaurant in my neighborhood.

Yelp
My friend who lives in the neighborhood says this is her favorite Thai place and it did not disappoint! We had 11 people for lunch on Saturday. She made a reservation but the place was basically empty. They did a really cute reserved set up for us! They made it a square instead of a long table, which was awesome because we could all have one conversation. We got the special fried veggie rolls (5 pieces per order) for an appetizer. Tasty, nice plum sauce. We got the enoki mushroom appetizer and it was SO GOOD. I don't like mushrooms and I loved this dish. The mushrooms are battered and fried and served with a small bowl of curry with tofu, onions, tomatoes. We ripped off pieces of the mushroom and then spooned the curry over it. Beyond delicious. I will always get this when I come here. We all remarked on how good the sauce was--so flavorful and unique and delicious! This app default comes with pork, but we got it with tofu and therefore vegan/vegetarian. I'm vegan, and the menu marks items as vegetarian and the servers are very knowledgeable about ingredients and can make dishes "vegan style" or "vegetarian style." They made my Thai iced tea with coconut milk and it was SO good. Items we got vegan - pad kee mao with tofu and no egg (this one was unlike other pad kee maos I've had but still good, probably my least favorite dish though), sautéed green beans, and eggplant with tofu. Eggplant was my favorite, I love how soft and delicious it is. Other folks loved the pineapple curry fried rice (vegetarian) and crab fried rice. The people who work here are so kind and accommodating! One of our friends toppled their water bottle and the lid fell on the floor, and the server offered to wash it for him. We had two carafes of water on the table and they were basically refilled without us having to ask. All the food came out hot and fresh, it was great to do it family style but some people got their own too. The restaurant is spacious and they have videos playing on the tvs from the perspective of a person just walking through Thailand (or at least I assume that's what it was). I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I haven't been impressed with the restaurants in Maple Leaf, but I think this is the best one I've found so far! I thought the veggies were on the crunchy side and the flavor seemed to almost be molasses-y in the pad see ew (3.5/5 stars), I absolutely adored the peanut sauce although I wasn't as impressed with the chicken satay (3.5/5 stars), and I thought the beef masaman curry (3.5/5 stars) was light on the veggies but shockingly generous with the beef. I have ridiculously high restaurant standards, and this is the kind of restaurant that I'd go back to if a friend invited me. The only real red flag is the "okay" food service rating Service was fast and the building looked new and clean.
google avatar

Maggie L.

Yelp
Tip: parking available on the side of the building. Walked in on a Friday for lunch to this restaurant almost bring empty. I was greeted promptly. I was planning to get food to-go, but decided to sit down for a relaxing meal. I ordered Khao Soi based on the server's recommendation. The curry sauce was delicious, but the chicken had a taste I didn't enjoy. I liked the pickled onion and mustard green. Service was good. I asked for hot water, and was given an entire pot.

Yelp
Excellent service & great food & ambiance. Repeat customer for good reasons. A neighbor favorite.

Yelp
We had such a great time here. We rudely arrived at 8:30pm (9pm closing time) and they graciously received us... on our part we weren't even the last ones out even though we just wanted to keep eating. It wasn't long after we got home that we divided up the leftovers and devoured them. My wife and I eat a lot of Thai food, and I am not exaggerating when I say that was the best yellow curry I've ever had. Nothing seemed exaggerated or overdone. It was so fresh, and so full of flavor. Everything melded amazingly. The other dishes were the same - Tom Kha and Pad See You. I feel like it's hard for pad see you to be as impressive because deep down that is just greasy comfort food haha. But the soup was so fresh and tasty again. They were very good in accommodating our alteration requests to each dish, and it was very nice that the menu had gluten free dishes labeled. The server/bartender was so nice, very good at explaining and helping us decide, and made sure we had a good time. So glad to have come here, and I hope to return.
google avatar

Matt R.

Yelp
I was on a mission to try a new Thai place and a dish I've never had. I accomplished both with aplomb at Yes Siam! I branched out and Tried the Khoa Soi. Holy Khao, it was Soi good! I was a little envious of the man bellied up to the bar who ordered the fingers of whiskey with his Pad Thai. But I guess I'll have to come back for drinks. Clean space with good service! Go here.
google avatar

Trinity M.

Yelp
This is some of the best Thai food I've had in a while! Curry was so flavorful and savory. It really hit the spot on a cold day. Service was great. We were seated really quickly and they took our order fast. Really recommend this place!
google avatar

Lindsay O.

Yelp
Second time at Yes Siam the other night and was just as delicious as the first time I went a while ago. The yellow curry is super flavorful and has a great consistency! My boyfriend says the crispy garlic chicken from here is his favorite... also surprised with the cocktail which was also very good and had a fun presentation as well! And service was very fast and friendly! 10/10 recommend:)
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great service. I usually get to go but the atmosphere is nice. Great curry.

Yelp
My husband and I just bought a home in the area and were on the hunt for a good Thai spot! One night we decided to give Yes Siam Thai a go! We were welcomed by a nice woman, and taken to a table right away. We ordered Chicken Satay for a starter. It's a must when going for Thai! For entrees we ordered Pad Thai with Chicken - 2 star. (Since it was our first time, we ordered a low spice since we didn't know what to expect). Also ordered the Yellow Curry with Chicken & brown rice - 2 star. I was happy that they obliged my weird request of "potato & chicken only"! The food was all great. Definitely my favorite Pad Thai meal of all the Thai places I've tried. Come to find out from our Server, her and her cousin used to own our favorite Thai place in Everett. (All Rice Thai Hut is amazing if you're in that area!) The food was very similar and equally good! We have gone back several times since our first visit. We keep increasing the spiciness level. The last time I got the yellow curry as 4 star. Very good! Not over bearing hot, and you can still taste the amazing flavors. So happy to have found our "go to" Thai spot in the area, and on our first attempt!

Hannah N.

Yelp
As seasoned thai eaters in north seattle, this has quickly become our favorite place to order both takeout and dine-in. The service is phenomenal and the food is even better. We cannot recommend this place enough-the value for the price is exceptional-we've both said we'd pay so much more. Don't miss trying this place for your next thai craving!
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
I love this place it's my new favorite Thai place. The service is great and the food portions are huge and tasty. I love their crispy garlic chicken, crispy rice salad, phad see you, and crab wontons. Everything is big enough to share and I get 2 or more meals out of the leftovers. I don't live that close so I specifically make the drive for Yes Siam. The seating area isn't huge but they do have a bar area. It's definitely casual and family friendly.
google avatar

Maiyuri H.

Yelp
Came here on a busy night, but was able to get seated fairly quick! I will say, their service was great. The waitress really took care of my table by checking in on us quite frequently. Food-wise I would say it was pretty good. My friend and I got the crispy chicken and Thai fried rice. We cleared both plates and felt fully satisfied. This place is worth giving a try if you're in the area!

Yelp
Second time coming to Yes Siam! This time we went for my mother's birthday, she loves it still. Service was top notch! Always excellent service! Always amazing food. Ordered different things this time and my goodness still fantastic! Their food and service has never been less than excellent! A must try is the deep-fried enoke Mushrooms, so much flavor. The crab wontons were delicious, great flavor! Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any menu item. They do them all very well!

Emily B.

Yelp
Yes Siam is always my go to Thai place. Truly nothing from this place disappoints! One thing I'm always on the hunt for is a good panang curry, and this one is my all time favorite. If you're looking for good Thai food, look no further because this is the spot.

Sandhya S.

Yelp
The food arrived quickly, tasted fresh and delicious, and came in generous portions. The ambiance was pleasant as well. However, I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 because of the service - our waitress was curt, didn't smile, and had somewhat rude mannerisms toward us (we are Indians) . We noticed that she was noticeably more polite and friendly with other patrons.

Niviann B.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Food is great. Employees are very nice. This is our go to for Thai food.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
This is my favorite Thai restaurant. Everything is great!. Chicken, chicken wings, panang, pad Thai, everything!

H L.

Yelp
So disappointed by the takeout pad thai! Not much flavor and very bland dishes. I'm not even a picky eater with Thai food and will go elsewhere for quality Thai food in the future.
google avatar

Chenie X.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from work. Food arrived quickly. The beef Kee Mao was delicious! The spice level was on par with expectation :D. The amount of food was enough for me to have two meals. IG: pandachenie

Yelp
"Passionate about their food and it rocks" says it all -- a different twist on thai try the "Yes Siam Noodle @$16 steamed wide rice noodle with fried tofu, ground chicken, shitaki mushroom, dry shrimp, green onion served.with homemade Black Soy Sauce and topped with crispy garlic /shrimp tempura @$11 tasty too --.nice.decor good service and great.eats.too cheers al

Tee B.

Yelp
I ordered pad kee Mao to go and it might have been the worst pad kee mao I've ever had. Did not taste like traditional pad kee mao at all. It was literally dripping in orange oil?? I usually order pad kee mao over pad Thai at Thai restaurants because it's more consistent in being good everywhere. I don't know who's cooking back there, but this should not even be considered pad kee mao.

Bernard K.

Yelp
Reliably great food. This my regular Friday take out. Especially recommend the crab fried rice or Yes Siam noodle.

Gabi G.

Yelp
There was a staple in my to-go chicken pad see ew. Like a stapler staple. I thought I was pulling a chicken bone out of my mouth and it was a staple.

Margaret M.

Yelp
Had the best time here on a chilly Friday evening. Friendly service, tasty and creative dishes/drinks/plating, perfect lighting, cloth napkins. The restaurant was busy enough to feel cozy, but not too busy that we couldn't get a seat. Just a quality neighborhood spot! I recommend the crispy rice salad and Khao Soi.
google avatar

Olivia F.

Yelp
My husband and I placed a large order for pickup today (4 entrees and 2 appetizers), our first time here and most of the food was excellent, however I was really disappointed that despite me ordering tofu yellow curry, was given chicken curry and didn't realize until we got to our friend's house and were ready to dive in. Super disappointed that I didn't get to eat lunch with my friends today.
google avatar

Mattie W.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW. This is some of the best Thai food in the Seattle area - if not THE best. The panang curry is to die for (it actually made me cry tears of joy lol) as is every other item we've had from the Kee Mao, pad Thai and crab wontons. Take out is always quick and effective but we love going to sit at the bar as well! Staff is so lovely and kind. This will forever be a favorite of ours!
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
Wonderful food & service - team always makes you welcome (dining in or picking up for ToGo meals).

Yelp
Incredible pineapple curry and large portions. Staff goes above and beyond and is so gracious. Clean establishment. Overall excellent place to stop in for some Thai.

Yelp
We visit this restaurant when we are in town (have a child at UW). Takeout was great. We recently dined-in and asked what the specialities were. It was recommended to order the friend mushroom appetizer. We had no idea what to expect. The sauce was unidentifiable (meaning we had NO idea what was in it), but it was spectacular. The mix of the sauce with the light+crunchy mushrooms was perfect. We used the sauce for some of the main dishes we ordered as well. The staff are 5+stars. Professional, affable, inviting and responsive. Couldn't ask for better service. There seemed to be many regulars and all friendly. Do not be surprised if the restaurant is not fully packed. I couldn't believe how much this restaurant does in take-out. Was incredibly busy. But the service was never slow. The price was also very reasonable. Was pleasantly surprised at the total bill amount. Highly recommend stopping by this place if you are visiting. Ask the server for their recommendations!

Yelp
I eat a lot of thai food and this is hands down my number 1 or 2 in all of the Seattle area. Their khao soi is soooo amazing! Their fried chicken is also great. I typically get that appetizer and if you do take out, make sure you eat it while its hot! HIGHLY recomend their Yes Siam Noodles and Rice. Honestly, every dish I've had here has been great.

Justice A.

Yelp
We had such an amazing time ! The food was amazing and the drinks just as good. We had Tom yum and it was delicious. Service was great made sure all our needs were met. They were all so kind. They had great music playing , clean and welcoming ambiance. Ate the food too fast to take a picture of it. We will be coming back !

Yelp
This place does a lot of things right and comfortable to eat at. The location is convenient: it's right off I-5 on lake city way and has a parking lot. I've definitely not gone back to restaurants because accessibility was an issue. The interior is very cozy and well decorated, and the front door faces a smaller side street so it does not feel overly high traffic. The prices are middle of the road, but for what you get they are really good deals. The pad Thai here was probably the biggest plate of pad Thai I've ever been served, and it was full of flavor and enjoyable start to finish. They make it darker here than most places I've been to, so the flavor is smokier and tangier. The noodles are nicely textured, slightly chewy without being too spongy. I asked for a crab option on the pad Thai and I think it's my favorite way to have this dish so far. The service is exceptionally attentive and professional. Overall, easily one of the best if not the best Thai places in Seattle, factoring in taste, value for money, service, and location.
google avatar

Caroline M.

Yelp
We've ordered Yes Siam throughout the years and it is solidly fantastic. I just had the Yes Siam noodles and Tom Yum soup - both are incredibly flavorful and slightly tangy. They offer big portions, which makes for good leftovers. My husband and I have had many dishes from here and everything is delicious! I definitely suggest trying this place out and supporting a great restaurant!

Rany T.

Yelp
The service was great! Very friendly ladies. The food was very tasty and flavorful. I ordered their top recommendations and they did not disappoint. Ambiance a bit classy/ neat bar vibe.
google avatar

Happy C.

Yelp
The food is soooo good. We ordered grilled chicken, noodle and curry to go. Every dish is good. So happy that we found a good restaurant near us. Will definitely order again. Btw, Thai tea is also good but slightly too sweet for me. We finished the food too fast before being able to take photos... next time...

Xti P.

Yelp
The food, the service, and the ambiance are all amazing. I love the Salmon Penang Curry, and the Pineapple Fried Rice. 10/10 highly recommend!

Ching Yung L.

Yelp
Food is delicious and the price is reasonable. The place is cozy and spacious. Location is convenient with a free shared parking lot. Recommend to have a try.
google avatar

Kirsten Z.

Yelp
Yes Siam is one of our staple takeout places. We love to get the pad see ew, fried rice, and pad Thai, and crab rangoons if we are extra hungry. This is dinner and two lunches for the both of us. Delicious. One note: we always arrive early to pick up our order because we find it's often ready sooner than they estimate. Zero complaints there!
google avatar

M. V.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Fast service for the order I placed to go. The Phad See You with tofu was very tasty. Good size portion, generous amount of tofu, noodles and sauce. My new go to place for Thai food in the neighborhood!
google avatar

Jenn L.

Yelp
Upgrading since they deserve it! Food is spot on every time, and they're one of my very few Thai places that actually use Chinese broccoli instead of regular broccoli for Pad See Ew. It's truly, my favorite Pad See Ew ever, and I love it so much so that it has some serious competition to Pad Thai, my favorite food of all time. Their appetizers are also always spectacular--we just had the money bags for the first time and were seriously impressed! I've still only been relying on takeout, but Yes Siam is always a reliable treat!
google avatar

Eric K.

Yelp
Our neighborhood go-to Thai place in Ravenna/Maple Leaf. Good food, reliable. We like the crispy pork belly, papaya salad, holy basil, cashew nut chicken, beef Penang curry, pad Thai, pad see ew, crab fried rice, and crab Rangoon. Everything is pretty solid. Also, food is ready quickly.

Yelp
We happened upon this place very randomly via the parents of a friend. A sort of, "We heard about this place..." conversation. We ended up trying it with a group of friends and HOLY CRAP YOU NEED TO GO HERE! They've got a great layout for groups of two all the way up to double digits, like ours. The bar area is pretty central when you come in, but there's a couple of very large tables near the front of the restaurant as well as a small alcove it's very conducive to large groups. Along the sides, there's plenty of other tables that seat smaller groups. Since it was Christmas they had some fun decorations including a cardboard buddy the elf...This scores some big points in our book! Pretty standard beverage options, with a couple key additions. If guava juice, which are kids very much enjoyed, as well as a couple of different takes on Thai iced tea. They have standard, Thai iced coffee, as well as Keylime pie ice tea. The Keylime variety was awesome! The food here was absolutely blow you away good! They have plenty of traditional Thai dishes like Pad Thai and Pud see ew (which was awesome) as well as some fun takes on dishes. They have a good number they have a good number of curry dishes as well as a number of different takes on fried rice. The crab fried rice was very good and basil fried rice, baked chicken curry fried rice and pineapple fried rice looked excellent as well! We had a legitimately hard time picking our entrée is so many things looked good. We ended up with crispy garlic chicken as well as yellow curry. The crispy garlic chicken was showstopper good! Perfect amount of seasoning and just a little bit of spice. It was as good of a dish as we've had in a long time. We also had moneybags as an appetizer - those things are boss! They're little fried bags filled with meat, roughly two bites worth...they're seriously legit! Haven't gone to school at UW, we've eaten a lot of type places and most of them are good, but not overly memorable. This is seriously one of the most fun restaurants that we've been to in a long time, and while we expected it to be good, we didn't expect it to be a place we be planning on going back to to try different things on the menu. If you're up in the area, you should absolutely check this place out!
