Boba Explained: Types of Bubble Tea, and How to Order | Eater

"A fruit-tea chain known for fresh fruit–based boba drinks—mango, lychee, winter melon, lemon, even tomato—often including extra bits like aiyu jelly, watermelon cubes, or crunchy passionfruit seeds for texture alongside the pearls." - Leslie Nguyen-Okwu

I ordered the brown sugar pearl matcha latte (iced) and it was meh. The matcha was very chalky. One third of my drink was just boba, Which stayed at the bottom even after mixing vigorously. The self order screen was crowded as there were two people in front of me ordering some six drinks (their choice) so I ended up at the counter. The staff took almost 5 mins to acknowledge that I was there. One of the two people at the station kept giving me “looks and eye rolls” and seems like he did not like I was ordering at the counter and not at the screen (mind you the screen was occupied). Also: don’t understand charging extra for “Diary substitutes” are you giving me the whole milk separately to make up for the extra cost? Plus They don’t customize the level of ice in the drink and that is very strange. Not sure if I am willing to give this place another chance.

Dropped by this lovely bubble tea store after ordering dumplings from China Bistro. Tried Taro Latte, Taro Green Tea Latte and Purple Rice Red Bean Coconut Latte. There’s a special offer - top up $1 for an extra drink. All the drinks are nicely made. We love the Da Jia taro which was tender and with a special fragrance. For the taro drinks, we ordered no sugar which were extremely delicious.

Google
The mango pomelo sago never disappoints. The sweetness from the mango and a touch of bitterness from the pomelo make a perfect combo. I also ordered a brown sugar oolong tea which tastes pretty good too. The price can be a bit on the pricey side though.

Google
Best service with best variety of tea! And the new size of Yi Fang pancake taste so good. The red bean coconut drink is heaven.😊

Google
Their fruit teas and milk teas are all fantastic. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Google
My favorite tea shop in Rockville. I love that they have sago drinks. I’ve tried the fruit drinks like the mango pomelo sago and today I tried the red bean sago latte. So delicious. The boba and sago are always fresh and chewy.

Google
We got the following: Black sugar milk tea latte - boba was fresh and good. Tea was a bit weak for me. I like a stronger tea Passion fruit tea - got the 30% sugar and it was too sour. Went back in to get more sugar. Would’ve been nice to be informed properly that there’s 0.70 up charge if you get less ice. Maybe I should’ve waited for the kiosk instead of going to the actual person as I only noticed the charge on the receipt. Atmosphere: pretty nice but no chair at an empty table. We just grabbed and go. Return again: most likely not. Will try other places to see if they are better. I dislike not being properly informed for additional charge for asking less ice.

I discovered the joy of Taiwanese tea with my daughter and it has now become a regular treat for our family. We have tried a variety of things from their menu that I have now started a roster rotation. Everything is really good. My current favorite is winter melon lemonade, but please believe me when I say everything is good. Take some time and visit it could be your family's favorite too.

Yelp
Best bubble tea in the DMV hands down. Great selection and fun treats as well. Love the custard waffles. Mango sago is the best drink! Fast service and easy ordering. Great vibe with seating and easy to go.

Yelp
I really like the bubble tea drinks here! They have a huge selection of teas and customizations that you can do and they specialize in fruity bubble teas. You can order at a kiosk or at the counter and bonus points because their cashiers can speak Chinese! There's limited seating inside and no outdoor seating, but I typically take my bubble tea to go, so it wasn't a problem at all. My boyfriend did not like the green plum tea that he got, but if you grew up eating a lot of Asian desserts, it was actually really pleasant for me (my mom and I ended up finishing it together). My favorites are the Yi Fang fruit bubble tea (their house speciality) and the mango pomelo sago. The former was definitely sweeter but the latter has a great slightly sour, slightly sweet taste that was very refreshing. Would come back!

Yelp
Yi fang drinks are always on point! Mango pomelo sago is the bomb dot com. I've also tried their mango-avocado drink, so good. Drinks never miss. It's so cute inside here, small tables on the side and enough space to stand and wait for your drink order to-go. The pancakes took awhile to come out, we received our drinks before the pancakes were ready. Wasn't really worth it, they were kind of mid. Lacked filling. I don't think I'd get them again, I'm gonna stick to my mango sago.
google avatar

Yvonne J.

Yelp
Yi Fang a lot of fun, diverse choices on the menu. We weren't huge fans of the drinks we got from Yi Fang though. The milk tea tasted a little watered down and the passionfruit tea was very sour. Since there are so many options on the menu, we might try something else next time.
google avatar

Mischa J.

Yelp
Very nice fruit and bubble tea shop! I had one of their fruit teas, which was very tasty! The only changes I would recommend is that I think this place would be much much nicer if the paintings on the walls were actual paintings and not just wallpaper. I also think that the bathroom looks very boring and that it could be a lot more cheerful if there were some good paintings and decor. Otherwise, all else was good. I think the staff were okay. The drinks were great.
google avatar

Yelp
We got Mango pomelo sago and coffee jelly latte, both are so good! Get half sugar if you don't like them too sweet. Cute and unique decorations, quick and good service. Definitely will be back and try more drunks!

Yelp
I was really craving a good milk tea and decided to go to Yi Fang but ended up leaving with my craving unsatisfied. Unfortunately, the milk tea was very watery and the boba had zero flavor which I never believed to be possible. My friend's green tea with cheese foam was better but the boba still lessened the appeal of the drink. Next time, I'll stick with their fruit teas and select different toppings instead.

Yelp
Service is always quick and I love their drinks. Average seating although most take to go. Parking can be tricky when it's busy.

Yelp
Very good, authentic, great sugar options, lots of choices, fast service, cute cafe, has internet, you can do work, AND DEFINITELY SUGGEST ALLLLLLLL ITEMS!! This is my favorite bubble tea cafe EVER. DEFINITELY worth a try. tHe pAnCaKes aRe tO dIe fOr...

Yelp
I love trying bubble tea shops and YiFang caught my attention for having sago drinks. On my first visit I tried the mango pomelo sago-the fresh mango was delicious and there were chunks of pomelo mixed with the sago. My second time I tried the taro sago latte with 30% sugar, it was the perfect amount of sweet and texture. This is my favorite drink in the DMV. The parking lot gets filled up, though there's usually a few spots near the 7-11. When you walk in, the menu is on the left, tons of options and you order and pay on the screen. You put your name in and get a number, and they'll call your name when your drink is up. There are some table and chairs inside if you want to stick around for a bit.
google avatar

Jasmine G.

Yelp
Got the mango pomelo sago per my friend's suggestion. It is one of their most popular drinks. Tasted good, but it wasn't mixed well and it was super bitter when I drank small chunks of the pomelo. Proportion of the sago was off - too much of it. The 3 stars is mainly due to the slowness of getting our order. There were only two other people in the shop when we placed our order, so it was not busy at all. The cashier girl didn't even bother taking our order and just pointed to the screen to place our own order. Two boys making the drinks, one might have been training the other. It took around 15 minutes to get our two drinks (which were the same).
google avatar

Whitney L.

Yelp
Another great boba option in Rockville. This boba place has more traditional teas and so most of their drinks aren't as sweet (my preference). Service is something they can definitely work on. When I went to try to do a self order on the machine it wasn't working for me or any other customer. They also did nothing when a customer in line decided to cut in front. It was a poor experience for me on that end (hence the 4 stars). There is a small amount of space for seating but I wasn't planning on staying.
google avatar

Aaron Z.

Yelp
This was first time coming here and I got the Mango Pomelo Sago because my friend said it was good but honestly I can't give this place a fair review because I didn't like the drink I got. It was kind of expensive though $8 for one drink. If I come again I'll try another drink and update my review.
google avatar

Yvonne Z.

Yelp
The ordering was quick and simple. Lots of choices and clear pictures of what is what, which was appreciated. I really enjoyed the drinks, although the price was on the higher side I thought it was well worth it because they use completely fresh fruits. I also really liked how the place was decorated.
google avatar

Kylie D.

Yelp
Love Yi Fang. It's my favorite boba chain. I got the mango pomelo sago, and they didn't fully blend it so that there were small pieces of ice and mango unblended in it. I actually quite liked it that way. The boba here is always fresh and deliciously chewy. Highly recommend. Service was average. It's got the same typical boba chain vibe.
google avatar

Margo C.

Yelp
Very pleasant dine-in area and there is a kiosk for ordering (I like all the options available for sugar and ice levels, as well as the non-dairy alternatives i.e. oat milk, lactose-free milk. There are also many toppings to choose from.) On my second visit here I ordered a matcha bubble milk tea with oatmilk and it was very decent (the main drawback was the boba was not quite at the consistency I preferred). Overall, ia good place for bubble tea and worth a visit....

Yelp
I'm very disappointed in this Yi Fang. It took SOOOOOO LONG to get our yi fang custard pancakes. It says a 5-6 minute but you should definitely QUADRUPLE that time if not more. We went pretty late, so it wasn't even busy, it just took so long. Our drinks were either Luke warm because they gave us everything at the same time. If you're gonna have us wait that long, you could at least give us our drinks first! Definitely beware when ordering the pancakes.
google avatar

Mimi I.

Yelp
First time visit. Ordered the mango pomelo sago with 30% sugar. When I got the drink, it said extra sugar 30%, but I think it was typed wrong. I could've probably gotten 0% since it's a mango drink... I'll try that next time. The drink itself was good. Lots of sago and real fruit pomelo and mango pieces. I had a similar drink at another bubble tea place, but it was a little different with coconut milk, which was layered in the cup. I preferred that a little more, but both were really good drinks. Nice, clean place. There are several large tables inside, with electrical outlets included at each. I'd return to try some other options.

Yelp
The Ramen vending machine is active now, so I stopped by to experience it during the "soft opening" and take advantage of the 20% off discount! I got the Pickled Vegetable Ramen and it was pretty good! There was just nothing pickled about the ramen at all... The noodles were chewy and my favorite part of the meal. The plant-based protein was also surprisingly tasty. It was also very salty (but that's to be expected). I don't have a suggestion to offer, but it was a turn-off that the ramen container is plastic (I couldn't stop thinking about the BPA and micro-plastics I was consuming in exchange of trying out the vending machine) seeing how eco-friendly the utensils and packaging was, I would love to see a more sensible approach for the ramen container itself. I also got a drink (but forgot to take a photo of it): the fresh Taro Latte. It actually isn't a hot drink, but can be modified to be one, at an added cost of $0.70. It contained heaps of Taro chunks! At 50% sugar and no ice, it was a slightly sweet and very creamy drink.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place! So worth the try!! I had never tried Custard Flavor Egg Pancake, but it's now my favorite dessert! It had the perfect amount of sweetness, definitely coming back to get some more. Also they're so cute!!!
google avatar

Kesanee S.

Yelp
I ordered no sugar because the lowest sugar level is 30%. The pearl and sago is too mushy seems like overcooked. Great ambiance and clean. The service is a bit slow

Yelp
Yi Fang sometimes is hit and miss depending on the location. This location is amazing, they're very helpful and accommodating. We were in a rush so we called in advanced to place an order. The staff was very friendly on the phone and was able to answer my a thousand questions patiently. She was very helpful to me. My go to order is usually very complicated, so I was happy to see Yifang is able to make my drink. There is also non dairy milk option, I think they have oatmilk and I think almond milk. They made my black tea latte with oatmilk, it was perfect. My sister and I also got their cute pancakes/ waffles, and it was so tasty! Will definitely come back again.
google avatar

Carly R.

Yelp
It's a good place for good drinks. They are famous in Asia too and it's my go to place if I miss my home country. I recommend their fruit tea (honestly any of the fruit tea, but ofcos the YiFang signature is THE tea to get if it's your first try), and mango pomelo sago drink. I do like their boba drinks too but it's a hit or miss depending on who makes the boba. Sometimes it's sweet and chewy, sometimes it's too soft and bland. So I mainly go there for mango drinks or fruit tea. Overall a nice place and nice interior as well. Hit or miss with some drinks but I would say 80% good drinks and good service. I did one time had the mango pomelo sago and found little string of plastic in it. I hope it's just the straw of the manufacturer of the cups was not good. Either way it's pretty scary to drink a sharp string of plastic so if the owner see this review please make sure to check if something is broken a piece/ it's in some of the cups! I'll come back for sure it's my go to, but I'll be careful and get a metal straw for the drink.

Yelp
One of my fav, simply bc it's close to school and home. They specialize in fruit tea, and it's huge. Also, they give quite a lot of toppings, so if u want 2 toppings in a medium cup, prepare for it to be half the size. They also have good pancakes. I still cannot believe they took away their best flavor, aka the bubble tea. Maybe bc it's hard to make, but thats my fav, hence I can only give 4 stars.

Yelp
Bad service This is my first time visit this store, I am very disappointed today ( 2/13/2024). The service is bad . I ordered on the stand computer , and I wait my drinks for 15 minutes, nobody called the number until I went to the counter to asked them about my drinks. And one guy told me the drinks haven't make yet. They forgot to make it. When I pick my drinks, I saw two milk tea have bubble, I told him I choose one with bubble and another without bubble. I show him the note on the cups, but they didn't remake the drink for me. No either said sorry to me. I am very unhappy with it . I won't come back again .
google avatar

Cyril M.

Yelp
Still pretty good. We came back here tonight and it was packed. Also they will soon be adding a ramen machin in the corner where there used to be a waiting area in the front. It looks like the one you see from Japan. We ordered our favorite flavors which are mango sago and Mango pomelo sago which is soooo good.
google avatar

Jess Y.

Yelp
Really good bubble tea, Yifang rarely misses! The red bean pancake was so delicious and warm, also shaped in a cute boba tea shape! Their wintermelon tea is my favorite and the sugar cane with mountain tea wasn't too bad either. No-fuss inside and efficient service, plus there's the digital order screen so you can take a look at the menu in detail and customize as you'd like.

Yelp
When I came to this spot, I purchased the Brown Sugar Pearl Latte. I was ready to tell them my ice and sugar preferences when I discovered that it is already preset. I went with it. As I was getting ready to pay, I noticed a sign showing they have pancakes. I decided - why not and purchased the one with Bubble Tea. They have 5 different flavors - Bubble Tea, Cheese, Original, Taro and Custard. You cannot mix and match them. You get 5 of the same flavors. So far, I have gotten the bubble tea and the custard. Shaped like mini cups with the flavors inside. Yum - both did not last long, and I enjoyed them. I think on my first visit they may have forgotten that I had ordered them as I didn't get it with my order as I did on my second visit. No worries. Now, back to my latte. So, you have to wait for them to call your number, once it is ready. As I waited, a friend informed me on how they make their boba in-house and that they are really good. It didn't matter much to me as I am not a big fan of boba. Well, up to this visit I was not. I got my drink, shook it up, put in my straw and had my first boba made by Yi Fang (not my first time having boba). I loved the boba they make here and the latte choice I selected was so good. Nothing was left behind in the cup when I was finished. It was good enough that I went back and plan to go back again in the future. Note: On my last visit, I entered my number on a pad. Noticed an alert I got for $1 off (only good for 8 days). It is not much, but it is better than nothing, I guess.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place!!!! First of all the aesthetics make you feel so peaceful with all of the light wood furnishings and neutral color scheme. I walked in wanting to try something new and stumbled upon the green plum green tea drink. I asked one of the workers about it and she told me it was her favorite. She even recommended getting it with 0% sweetness as the drink was already pretty sweet. I took her recommendation and am so happy I did! I might have just found my new favorite drink, and with this place being so close to my job it might not be good for my wallet! Lol I also got the custard cakes with boba in the middle. They came out so warm and fresh, and tasted soft yet crispy and not sickeningly sweet. They come with 5 in the bag which is a good number to share or even indulge by yourself.
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
Yi Fang is a popular chain in Taiwan. Known for their fruit teas. I first came during their soft opening and I have to say I was not very impressed. I got their signature fruit tea and it was more fruit than tea. But I am glad I gave them another change. Some time later, they also are offering custard cakes in the shape of a boba drink (see pics). I also tried a different drink (pineapple green tea) and it was much better. You are able to adjust the sweetness and ice level on the drinks. Interior wise they have really revamped the place from the previous store. Wood/bamboo lining the walls and banners with Chinese characters. There is some limited seating inside. I would say it can seat in around 25 people. It is located in a strip of stores along Rockville Pike. So parking is a bit limited.
google avatar

Ellen M.

Yelp
Pros: Cute interior Fast service Lots of amazing drink options - I visited twice during my short stay Great service Cons: Parking can be a challenge Ramen vending machine wasn't running yet You need a code for the bathroom (on the receipt) Pro tip: Know your ice and sugar levels ahead of time.
google avatar

Jo M.

Yelp
Love that there are so many options with real fruit. Tried the brown sugar milk tea with boba. The milk tea was tasty. A bit sweeter than what I usually get. But the boba itself was too soft. I'll pass on boba next time. Also got the Yi Fang Fruit tea that has passion fruit, apple and orange in the drink. Enjoyed this one and would get it again.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
These fruit teas really hit the spot on those hot summer days. Very refreshing and a light drink that doesn't leave you feeling heavy after. My personal favorite was the mango sago. A very neat interior that is a cool place to hang out for a little bit with friends. If you need a recommendation on what to order, my go-to is the Mango Sago with reduced sugar ( I usually go 75% sugar, but if I'm feeling the sweet craving I'll go with the full 100%).
google avatar

Jane P.

Yelp
This is my go-to bubble tea spot! I love their mango sago. It is my favorite. I love how they do not use fake stuff in their drinks. They have real high-quality ingredients and you can tell. Everything is so good on the menu. Another one of my favorite drinks is their taro drinks. They use real taro and every sip is so good! The only thing I wish is that they had more flavor options, but it doesn't stop me from coming to get tea here!

Julia C.

Yelp
Best bubble tea!! Prices are good and it has a cute lobby to hang with some friends :) Fast and good service

Yelp
This is a nice place to go for boba tea and waffle snacks. It was my first time there, so I am very glad that the lady in the counter was so nice and helpful and recommended to me what to order. I got a milk tea with caramel flavor pudding, a pineapple soy milk drink, and waffles with custard filling. I liked that their mini waffles which came in packs of 6; were made to order, so they were hot and fresh. The milk tea was good, and I liked the texture of the pudding. I was not really a fan of the pineapple soy drink. Maybe it will be better with tea in it. I only opted for no tea, bc it was late, and I didn't want to have caffeine at that time. The place looks calming, with the light wood and Taiwanese decor. I would go back to try something else next time I'm in the area,
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
Good bobas, very popular among Asians, so you know they're authentic! Brown sugar pearl matcha latte (hot) was delicious, rich, and earthy. Taro sago was good too, but there was no more sago, so we got boba instead; I'm curious to try it with sago, since I've forgotten what it tastes like... The taro texture was gritty, and the taste was light. Cheese flavor egg pancake was warm, soft, and fluffy; it came in the shape of an ice cream cone, which was very cute.
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
I have only visited Yi Fang once, but my initial experience was a tasty one! They offer various types of tea beverages, such as fruit tea, salted cream, brown sugar, yakult tea, lattes, and even seasonal specials. They also have some Taiwanese snacks that you can enjoy with your drinks. After having lunch in the area, I stopped by to pick up some drinks to-go: +a Strawberry Fruit Tea +a Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Latte Both drinks were freshly hand-crafted, and I was surprised at how much you can taste the quality of the tea and the ingredients! I appreciated the fresh fruit slices, and, especially in my matcha latte, the amount of matcha that was put in there - super generous! I'd love to return and try the rest of their menu! There are some tables and some counter seating to enjoy your beverages. Parking is available in the plaza lot, but it is definitely tight. +good quality tea beverages! +tight parking in the plaza lot available

Yelp
I found the google maps marker for this place to be a bit off, but still in the right strip mall. Their numerous fruit tea combinations sounded appealing, and while I considered plenty, getting the house blend turned out to be a good decision. Wisely, the recommend that teas with a lot of fruit be served with a low sugar level (fruit has plenty of fructose) and ice level (to save space, I assume). Mine had a nice variety of fruity flavor. Their one food item was a small stuffed waffle I wanted to try, but they were out of them (and it was still an hour before closing). Don't bet on the waffles, I guess. The tea wasn't cheap, but it was good, and I could definitely see returning.

Yelp
I've been on a lychee kick lately so had to try one of theirs. Tart, but very tasty. Had to order a large in order to have the boba toppings. Hubby got their bean sago latte. He usually gets a red bean slushee with herbal jelly at other places, so this was a little different t. He and was quite happy with it this version.

Yelp
WARNING: IGNORE ALL THE FAKE LYING POSITIVE BOTS REVIEWS THAT THIS PLACE POSTED. THIS PLACE SUCKS AND IS THE WORST! I went here few weeks ago and I wanted to order a drink, and the employees that work here are extremely rude, mean and unprofessional. They were rudely rushing me and I'm trying to decide on what I wanted to order. And I was trying to ask the rude workers questions about the drinks they had on the menu and they responded very rudely and didn't even care to answer my questions and very unhelpful and rude. Just because they hate working there and are miserable with there jobs, does not give them the right to wrongfully treat me the customer. And I was the only customer in the store so they had no valid reason to rudely rush me. They were rudely rushing me claiming they were closing soon when ur wasn't even near closing time. And they were rudely telling me to hurry up, i should have just walked out and left but I was craving some bubble tea and they were the only place open that night. Nobody there was friendly at all. That's all they kept doing was rudely rushing me. And since they kept rudely rushing me, I decided to order the brown sugar milk drink. It was the WORST brown sugar milk drink I've ever had, even other bubble tea places make way better brown sugar milk drinks. The milk tasted spoiled and bland. The drink hardly had any brown sugar in it, and the brown sugar didn't have much flavor either, even when I shook the drink up to get the brown sugar combined in there, the drink did not taste like how a brown sugar milk drink should taste. They don't know how to make brown sugar milk drink or honestly anything here at all. DO NOT go here or you'll end up being dissapointed not only with the nasty terrible drinks they sell here, but also with the piss poor, unprofessional, rude, mad employees that they have working here that will rudely rush the hell out of you for no reason. Also, nobody working there, didn't even care to help me with suggestions on the drinks they have on the menu. Like I said, they don't care about customers at all. I strongly URGE nobody to support this business and DO NOT give them your hard earned money because you're just going to end up having a bad experience at this establishment due to the terrible customer service experience that the rude unprofessional workers here provide to the customers as they don't care about the customers, only themselves. This place sucks terribly and going to another location wouldn't be any better at all because this place overall SUCKS and has the worst milk tea and bubble tea drinks. All the other bubble tea places outbeat this crap dump of a place. And as the other honest negative reviews have said, no wonder they hardly don't have any recent reviews, because NOBODY goes here. I hope they go out of business especially with the mean, terrible, rude and unprofessional workers they have working here. They won't last long, as they will eventually go out of business. F those rude a** ignorant, mean, terrible hateful employees that work there. Who the f do they think they are to mistreat a customer for no reason and rush the hell out of them, miserable idiots workers they have. Good thing hardly nobody goes there, so they can go out of business soon I hope they do.

Yelp
I love rotating between all the bubble tea places in the area and since I haven't had Yi Fang in a while, I decided to get some for my husband and I. I ordered the sugarcane passion fruit green tea, which is probably new to the menu because I didn't see it before, and a fruit tea. Fruit tea was fresh and not too sweet since I always get less sugar. My husband didn't like the sugarcane one too much. I would probably keep sugarcane drink and passion fruit drink separately. Maybe they are not supposed to mix. I also got the custard waffles which was pretty good.

Andy Y.

Yelp
Made fresh and every added item was delicious! My favorite is the caramel pudding which they are not stingy about. Every sip you gets you a good portion. You can customize your drink with additions, sugar level, and ice level. Will definitely be back! Enjoy !

Yelp
This is my new favorite boba store, and believe me, I consider myself a boba connoisseur. They have excellent tea quality and delicious boba as well as other toppings. They are usually pretty busy during weekends so you might want to order online if you are impatient. I myself love to sit down and enjoy my boba tea in their cute shop. And now they just recently have the ramen vending machine! Being a vending machine, the ramen was not terrible and certainly more economical (currently having 20% off offers). Definitely visiting them every week to feed my boba addiction!

Yelp
I'm actually shocked I haven't reviewed this place yet. The offerings here are unique and refreshing. They are a bit slow on making the drinks and the waiting area is quite small so it can be a chore or a hassle to make a to-go order for a quick pickup. Nonetheless, I think it is worth it. Even better if you can come here during their downtimes. The location is right off of 355. It is between the 7-11 and Pho 75. You know what that means? Limited parking - especially on a Saturday. Be wary and cautious about this because it can ruin plans to come in for a quick grab. Now to their drinks. I like them all so far. They are a good combination and they even recommend the best combination of sugar and ice levels. Most places do not do this. It makes ordering a breeze. If you pay through Venmo, you can get a dollar off per drink. It could work in your favor and even making this place cheaper than other places. There is limited seating inside but again, if it is busy, you should probably not depend on seating being available. They are quite popular and I can see why. I have been itching away from Kung Fu Tea and preferring Ben Gongs and Yi Fangs. However, if I have to choose between the two, I would go with Yi Fang.

Yelp
I wish this place wasn't so far from me, I want to go back! Super cute bubble tea restaurant. They had so many different and interesting options that you don't see at Ben Gongs or Kung Fu Tea or other bubble tea shops. They also had other extras like sago (small tapioca balls with a different flavor than boba). I got the strawberry latte, it's basically a strawberry and cream slushy drink. Very tasty and refreshing. 50% sweet is plenty sweet. My husband got the passion fruit green tea, comes with passion fruit seeds so beware. He got at 70% sweet and that was perfect maybe a little sweet for other people. I also got the custard cakes, chewy, fresh, delicious. They also have glass walls so you can watch them make your drinks. It's fun for the kids.

Yelp
Yi Fang has been my new go-to for bubble tea drinks. They have a lot of refreshing fruity drinks as well as the usual milk tea ones. After you place an order, you get a number on your receipt and they will call out your number when your order is ready, which is usually a short wait. My favorite is the taro sago latte with 50% sugar. They use real taro! This drink doesn't have the usual big chewy balls, but sago, which are tinier tapioca balls, which I prefer. 50% sugar is perfect. They also serve warm mini cakes with custard or other filling side. They're nice little snacks. There is a ramen vending machine by the entrance. The sign says it will be working soon so that should be interesting to try. If you go their often, don't forget to type in your phone number to collect points for discounts and freebies.

Yelp
Really Love the Boba here I had tried both the large Boba and the small Boba and both were really chewy and soft and super awesome consistency. Tried the brown sugar latte with oolong tea and it wasn't too sweet. The brown sugar was very flavorful I also tried the salted cream tea and that was one of my favorite salted cream drinks that I've ever tried. It was not too sweet which I liked. Very authentic tea and Boba.

Yelp
Absolutely amazed by the quality of this place. This is a neat little place for tea. There are many options to choose from and they use fresh ingredients. There are ample parking. Located just a few stores away from pho75 and gourmet dumpling house
