Not a bad place. Prices aren't too bad. Seasoning is what it is. A lot of the skewer places don't really have much difference to make it distinct, but this place tends to add a bit more kick to their spice blends, which is great. The tower of beer is a nice touch! I'd prefer taller towers, but the fact that there are towers, is cool, nonetheless. Best of all, service was the best! My major complaint was that sitting outside, we had a canopy covering us, and there were some other guys smoking. Yeah, it's technically "outside" but I think they were really bending the rules, and kinda' stank up the place. They should only allow smoking in a tiny corner of the outdoor seating, away from the doorways, but if they put up that canopy, they really shouldn't allow smoking at all. That's not the staff's fault, but be careful with others you're sharing space with. Also, as nice as the canopy is, and nicely lit, if you expect to have a conversation as the trucks and cars are roaring by on Garvey Ave, that's gonna' be tough. So you may want to consider eating indoors instead.

This place is great! This my first time trying Hong Kong-style bbq skewers, and it won't be the last. The seasoning blend is cumin-forward, which I love. It' s ala carte, and the selection is broad and as challenging or as tame as you'd like. I really enjoyed the chewy Backstrap skewers. The service is friendly and prompt, and the prices are reasonable. I went late, around 10:30pm.

My fav Chinese kebab place! I've been coming here for 2 years. They do have the best Lamb Beef kebab and oysters！

I came here 4 times and the food is good but I will not be coming back because of their service. Our food took more than an hour to be served while everyone else including those that came after eating already. Because of time constraint, we changed our dine in order to take out after being there for 40min already. We had paid for our meal before the order was brought out in order leave quickly. After we got our items and was getting up to leave, their employee stoped us for a tip 🫤. Just saying, probably won’t ever be seeing us back again.

Food was very oily just look at my photos service wasn't that good either but there's soda bomb was delicious

Best Kebab in LA!!! I was born north China where kebab is everywhere. I'm so desperate to find a legit chinese kebab in LA for years until I found this gem. Highly recommended!!!

Pls don’t waste an hour of your day here. No one greeted us at the door. We sat ourselves down. Our table wasn’t prepped. We ordered at 8:35 and the food didn’t come out yet. It’s 9:32. I swear they are cooking their food on a candle. But even a candle wouldn’t take this long. Go to Little Skewer for fast food, great atmosphere and an extensive menu. This place need to step up their game. Our group is never coming here again. I are taking our food to go instead After we asked the server to check on our food. She never came to our table to do a follow up LOL omg the lady came to us and said “oh you didn’t leave a tip on the bill” I said it took 1 hour to make the food. She said “oh we make it fresh” That’s totally nonsense. We used to eat here all the time. It would take at the most 20-30 minutes for the squid. So what’s the deal today taking 60 Minutes? Is she taking 45 minutes just to dump seasoning? My friend walked out with me and asked if it’s mandatory to give tips now in California. No. No it’s not. We gave them a couple bucks and left. Literally 1 hour of lives. We are never getting back. AND they asked for a tip. So sooooooooo crazy.

Came here on a Sunday night for skewers. We ordered 2 rounds of meat skewers including half lean half fat beef, chicken gizzards, chicken skin and chicken soft bone. Unfortunately they didn't have intestines. We also ordered the grilled enoki. We told them mild but it was still pretty spicy so we had to order a stir fry ramen noodle for the kiddo. The noodles was pretty good. She devoured it. The skewers were decent, nothing memorable. They didn't have candles to keep the skewers warm though. Service was slow. There was only one waitress manning the entire restaurant. There's a small parking lot in the back. Prices were decent. There's also outdoor seating with a canopy and heaters.

I came here on a Saturday night and it was quite empty. Maybe that should have been a sign but we didn't want to wait in the long line for the other two kebab places. I'm giving a low rating because this place is empty for a reason. Service is slow and the waiters here are quite incompetent. We pointed at what we wanted at be menu and they messed up three times, giving us the wrong item or forgetting what we even pointed at. They even repeated my order back in and still messed up. I'm not sure if it was a translation error or what, but this place was pretty disappointing. Would not be coming back.

Decided to check out the this spot after passing by many times, and was really mediocre. The menu is pricey for the portion and quality that you get. They do have some unique items, but not something worth coming for. There are definitely better skewer spots nearby for the same price such as T-Kebob, which I enjoy going to. Some of the standouts would be the eggplant and the cheesy corn, which were both good. The undercooked beef was also unique and very tender as it is cooked rare. Other than those items, the lamb and beef skewers were quite small and didn't taste anything special. They also didn't have the cumin and chili powders that most skewer places would have. The bill came out to be over $100 for the 3 of us and we weren't even full. They do give you a free Thai soy milk tea after you pay though. Overall, a rather lacking skewer spot for the higher price, small portion, and mediocre taste. I would recommend T-Kebob for good meat skewers and Little Skewers for their side dishes which are both skewer restaurants nearby.

The food here is yummy but the service and how long we have to wait for the food to come out is insanely long. If you don't have an hour to wait for your food to be served, don't consider coming! We really have waited for our order for a little more than an hour where we had to change it to take out in order to make it to our plans afterwards. By 30min, I asked one of the employee to check up on our order. She just said it usually takes really long but never gave us a follow up. After being there for 40min, I asked for the order to be changed to take out. When we got our order after more than an hour, she stoped us snd told us we haven't tipped yet. Even if the food was made fresh, it wouldn't take a whole hour to make :(

Love this place. I like how they have lots of vegetables option ;)) Service is good. Ambiance is good. Pretty chill place to go at night. Will revisit!

Love coming here for skewers. Drink selection is good. Servers are always nice and sweet. My favorite is the chicken cartilage. Love the patio spacious.

Didn't like this place after last few visits but my friends wanted to come and everytime I come here it just gets worse. No Menu for you to look at, they don't serve tap, makes you pay for bottled water, which i believe is against the health department requirement because every restaurant is supposed to serve water for free. Food took an hour and half to finish serving, we order 2 rounds and it literally took 3 hours to eat and by the time we're done we're still HUNGRY. Bill came out to 90 per person??? Forcefully asked for tip which i know for a fact that is against the law, not that we didn't leave tip, but they asked for more. Never Returning again and if you read this, don't go.

For the last two years, there are quite a lot of these moms and pops skewer places originated from China opened. Out of many I tired, this is one of them that is quite decent. I like the outdoor seating right next to the street seeing buses and cars moving by. tell you the truth, that's the feeling you get only when you in Asia.

Certainly the most Manchuria style of barbecue. Since whoever has had a real professional barbecue experience will notice that. I love everything they made. I love their seafood and especially the oysters.

I had to wait almost 45 minutes for my food when there wasnt anyone else, wasn't told until I checked in on my order 20 minutes later. 45 minutes for skewered meat? The girl that helped me was completely dismissive and rude to the fact that we couldn't really communicate very well with each other, and none of the other staff bothered to help. And quite honestly, the portions are extremely small for the price and the flavor -or the lack thereof- did not match up to my expectations. The only thing I would recommend would be the lamb but even that is cheaper and much better at Xinjiang, which is right down the street and around the block. Go there instead! The service and ambience there is also much more welcoming :)

Went around 1AM and received extremely bad service. Kebabs were small and when we asked for water they said we had to PAY. Workers were inattentive - we were the ONLY ones there. When the bill came, we tried paying with card but was given back the bill because cards were only accepted for BIG bills.. we ordered around 25 dollars worth of food... Due to the bad service we did not tip and the waiter FOLLOWED us out to the parking lot with the bill. Unacceptable to follow us out for a tip even after awful service. About the food : Food was mediocre, not bad but not amazing either. Portions were small - about 2 THIN slices of meat per skewer. Would NOT recommend !

New established Chinese bbq with very bad experience. Both me and my husband had diarrhea after having late night dinner their. The food is pricy the service is not worth to tip them. But we still did 15% since we respect the new place. Will not recommend here to my friend the only star is for the bbq bread which is not meat has higher quality compare to everything else.

This is the best place for traditional Chinese kebab. I like to come here every week. Best place for friends hanging out for the weekend. Enjoy the beer and Chinese kebab here. Very nice environment and cozy place. Try this new place. Worth it!

DON'T COME HERE IF you want bad service + skimpy portions of food. My friends and I came here around 1 AM with no one else and were seated. The waiter was pretty hasty with us and didn't seem to care much. After ordering we received the skewers ... We ordered beef kebabs, beef belly, pork belly, lamb, etc. I don't fully remember but each skewer is around $1 to $1.5 and they were SO small. If you were to come here to eat a full portion then don't be surprised if you order a shit ton more after eating. They tasted pretty good but I was not satisfied at all, let alone still hungry. We were not given water and they said they needed us to BUY a water bottle in order to have a drink... like what?? Then when we got our check we tried to pay with card, came out with around $20 for all 4 of us. We were pretty much done at this point. The waiter then comes back and says that there is a $35 minimum charge for us in order to pay with card??? I understand if it's $10 but seriously a $35 minimum charge for a skewer place. We left with no tip, not satisfied with our experience AT ALL and the guy started chasing us down lololol

Went this place twice already , food were good ! Highly recommend the tofu skins and raw beef skewers, they were different and unique. Service were okay , you can tell they getting popular so can't catch up that quick . But overall I will still give five stars .If you really like northeastern Chinese kebab and chill night life with local beers , it is the place you will have to try .

I love this place, there food has authentic taste of northeast China, where are the best Chinese kebab come from. Worth trying! Each kind of food we ordered is yummy, my favorites are lamb kebab, beef tendon, backstraps paddywack, chicken bone, and Hot & spicy pot.

Food is decent, will give them 3/5 stars. The portion is truly kinda small. My boyfriend and I ordered the beef lean (10/order), lamb, chicken skin, wings, corn kernel, mushroom, potato slices, and etc. The beef lean is really small for each skewer. They serve food slow comparing to other skewer places. We need to wait most of the time for our food to come out after we finished one kind. The mushroom is kinda burn (not recommended). For the service, will just worth 2 stars. We went there around 7:30pm, they have two waitresses, not attentive enough when we ask for service. They seems like in low energy and not want to serve their customers or maybe just our table?! There's one girl I raised my hand to catch her attention cuz I want to add more stuff, she saw me but didn't come to me (she thought I was waving at the female customer just coming in) after the customer is going to other table, she didn't walk up to me, but looked around instead and walked to other table. I say thank you every time they serve the food, but I feel like they not worth my thank you because I don't feel welcomed when I was dining in there.

Food was quite expensive for its quality. Some meat was overcooked and the lamb skewers were just plain dry. The quality was very mediocre. Their wings were the only part of the meal that I enjoyed. Food also comes super late. Told me to wait 30 minutes and it came after a whole entire hour. Won't come again.

Simple kabob, it does provide good food, not fancy but will fulfill your taste imagination. Tap beer match with all kabob food and end up with a hot soup, very enjoyable. There is no busy waiting line currently, it will be great if they consistently improve their food quality in the future.

Very authentic traditional China's flavour! We love this restaurant, the servers are friendly and food and beverages are very tasteful. Must try their grilled bean curd kebab and grilled chives!

Honestly the portion sizes aren't what I expected it to be, but what can you expect when it's a dollar. I wouldn't recommend this place for people who want to fill up your stomach. You're probably better off eating at McDonald's than here. Our total bill was around $50 for two teenagers and we still weren't full. I can't completely crap over this place though, they have some decent items on the menu. Corn and sausage kebab was pretty yummy (only thing I'd recommend). Tofu stew was a decent serving sizes and the flavor was delicious. It's up to you whether or not you want to blow your money here. Idrc, it's pretty empty throughout the day.

They have the best northern style kebabs and I often crave for them but they have the worst service ever. Before the pandemic, we dined in a few times and they never put a smile over their faces and gave you a 'I don't give a shit' attitude. I thought it was still bearable because I only went there for the food and they often distracted by other customers. Then now during the pandemic, I still crave for their kebabs sometimes so we would order to go. I'm always the one who place the orders on the phone and my husband would go pick them up since I can speak some mandarin but my husband cannot. The guy who takes the orders on the phone every time sounds pretty polite on the phone. Maybe because I can speak some mandarin. But my husband finally told me about his pickup experiences after 3 times. First, they put on shitty faces as usual and didn't even say Hi or Thank You. Second, the lady sneered at him with a shameful smile when he tried to pay with a credit card but told him no card, only cash in broken English. He felt like she tried to make him feel dumb. Remember though, they used to take credit cards when we used to dine in before the pandemic and the guy on the phone didn't tell me that they don't take cards anymore, nor even a sign at the shop when pickup. How would my husband know they don't take cards now? We wonder if they try to play sneaky avoiding paying taxes or cheating the assistant business loan that offered by government for the pandemic. If all customers pay cash, no way IRS would find out how much business do they have. I love their kebabs and trying to support the local business but don't think we will go back here for their service and business ethics.

Northeast BBQ here - Excellent. The best BBQ in LA. I've been there many times.The taste is very great, great price.

this is my favourite place where i come a lot with friends. it brings me the hometown taste and memory. the kebab is amazimg. the meet size serves perfect for the the mouth anf tasting. best try.

We just arrived at 11 p.m. Sit down for some kebabs. A bespectacled waiter came and said it would take about 40 minutes to order now. We just said ok, let's order first. "Said the bespectacled waiter halfway through the order. It takes 40 minutes for us to get there. Before you start baking. I felt like she didn't want to take us the whole time. We all said we could wait. No problem. She's still say. Let's go somewhere else.

Ordered Togo and spices were on point. Not sure about service since I didn't eat there. Ordered lamb kebab

The food portion is ridiculously small and overpriced. The service is below average.bThe taste is good though.
