"The Southern California owner of YiFang, who asked to be identified only as Wen, says his stores were untouched. “The reason why some local boba stores ran out of boba balls is because their supply is from local manufacturers,” he says. “Also, the news of the shortage caused panic buying and limits to be imposed. Our boba balls and tea supply were unaffected. They’ve always arrived two months after we order from our YiFang franchise in Asia.”" - Kristie Hang

I really like the variety here. There are a few places around now that do this sort of tea service, and yi fang is the latest. But, what they do, they do really well. I'm trying a seasonal drink now, the avocado-mango fruit drink. I got it with their recommended 100% sweetness and it is very sweet. If that's your game, you'll love it. That's too sweet for me. Takes away from the other flavors. Next time, I'll go 50%, like I do on their other drinks. Service here is decent. The staff is friendly, but if they get backed up, you'll be waiting a few minutes. It is well worth the wait, though, so don't take that the wrong way. Come and try something that sounds good to you. Comment here and let me know what your favorite is. Mine is the Mango Sago cooler!

Google
First time coming to Li Fang here in Irvine, we ordered Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha and Mango Pomelo Sago, as recommended by a customer who just got his drink. The mango drink indeed is very refreshing and tasty, you can taste the mango just like you are eating the fruit itself. The Matcha is also good, very strong matcha taste and smell. Definitely will come back again, if we drop by this area.

Google
best milktea with best price🙌 got a super trio wintermelon tea for 5$ and it’s awesome. The boba very fresh and chewy, so as the purple rice🥰. Def coming back again, hope the store can keep the good quality and price🤩🥳

Google
Really enjoyed the red bean drinks here. I’m also glad they have non dairy milk options here. Would go back again and try more drinks like the Strawberry Fruit Tea!

Google
Wow a brand new YiFang just opened nearby! I ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago Cooler. It’s full of real fruits inside. Very fruity and refreshing! Must-have in the hot summer!

Google
6/30/24 - What Gives?? this place has been whipped out. I noticed all of SoCal locations are now separate from the corporate.. guess there was a break up.. Home website only show SF locations.. although other Socal locations still exists under their separate websites. Sucks.. This was my favor place. I will miss my Plum green tea. Wow.. True Taiwanese drinks. So many favors.. Plum Green Tea Winter Melon with perl Grass Jelly with sago ...... to be continue

Google
Yi Fang is my favorite boba place. I haven’t had a bad drink from this place. I love fruit tea and their fruit tea is some of the best I’ve had. There are many varieties and all of them are super tasty. The peach tea, which has fresh peach bits in it, is my current favorite. This time around I tried the pineapple mountain tea with almond jelly and it was also super good. This particular store isn’t very good about giving you your drink when it comes out so just keep an eye out and ask for your drink when you see it.

Google
Avocado Mango Cooler. I've ordered this more than 10 times and am familiar with how it should be, layered. The last two times I've ordered this in the past two weeks (December 2022/Jan 2023) they have given it to me mixed. It is supposed to be distinctly layered and is not the same mixed. It is not enjoyable mixed because with the avocado base, it is not pleasant to get bits of bitter pomello and sour/sweet mango randomly (as opposed to when you want if it were layered). I asked them to fix it the second time it happened any they said it was how it should be. This is not true if you look at the marketing picture or any of the earlier customer pictures of the drink. Not coming here again.

Yelp
So sad to see Yifang go because they had the best mango pomelo sago in Irvine...hoping they open a new location here soon

Vince P.

Yelp
Yifang is one of the best options around for some high quality boba. This spot is located in a pretty busy plaza where the 99 Ranch is. There are a decent amount of parking spots available but it could also depend on the day and time you go. The shop itself is on the smaller side with a couple tables inside for seating. They have great variety on their menu with different milk teas, fruit teas, and lattes. We got the sugarcane mountain tea and the super trio milk tea and both drinks hit the spot! Overall, you can taste the quality of ingredients they use here in their drinks. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. Stop by here after a meal or for a quick pick me up and you won't be disappointed!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I got the Mango Pomelo Sago Cooler and thought it was pretty good! The only thing I would do next time is remove the red ingredient in the drink (I think it's grapefruit). Not a big fan of grapefruit since it has a slight bitter taste to it but my cousin enjoyed it in the drink. My brother got a Black Sesame Milk drink and if you love black sesame you'll definitely enjoy the drink! Service was nice and quick!

Ying L.

Yelp
Yifang is one of my favorite tea shops. They never disappointed me. I don't live near this location. I was near by and stopped by and got their classic milk tea. You ordered from the kiosk and took about less than 5 mins and got my drink. The drink was perfectly made. They got busy very quickly. When I left, the line was out the door. They do not have inside table for dine in. Just a few chairs for you to sit to wait for your order. Parking was easy for me today. Friendly service!

Alan S.

Yelp
With the surprise closure of Orobae, Yifang appears to have emerged as a legit competitor in the Irvine boba market. With each beverage, they aim for their customers to taste the freshness of their tea, their seasonal fresh fruits and organic milk, all while recreating authentic and classic Taiwanese flavor. I've visited a few times and they always seem to be busy. On my most recent visit, I tried the Peach Fruit Tea and Orange Yakult Fruit Tea. Both were refreshing but at 70% sweetness, I felt they were lacking sweetness. My sister ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago Cooler and it was by far the best tasting of the three and I would highly recommend. If you're thirsty or need a drink to cool off and you find yourself near the 5 freeway and Jeffrey, then pop into Yifang Fruit Tea and give them a try.

Mike C.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday night after dinner and there was a bit of a wait. Tried their passionfruit yuzu drink and it was super refreshing. Their boba was also very chewy and delicious. Prices are also reasonable for the quality they give you. Definitely check this place out if you're craving for some boba.

Angelica L.

Yelp
Yifang is super close to where I live, and I've been wanting to try it for quite some time now. I ordered the jasmine green milk tea with sago, and my partner ordered the brown sugar pearl milk tea. Both drinks were delicious! I could really taste the flavor of the tea in my jasmine green tea, which I really enjoyed. It didn't taste like it was just a sugar bomb, more like a true authentic milk tea drink. The sago was okay, and I don't think I'd order my drink with sago again. It doesn't quite seem like it belongs in milk tea the way boba does. I'd love to see egg pudding on the topping menu in the future, since that's my favorite milk tea topping. Overall, great experience at Yifang and I will definitely be back!

Aurora L.

Yelp
Mango sago pomelo - delicious!! (50% sweetness with extra sago (chewy texture) ) Friendly service

Melissa L.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to get the mango pomelo sago. It is such a refreshing drink, I usually ask for less sugar and it's perfect. Another great option is the taro or passionfruit tea. I'm not big on boba pearls so I love the options of sago, aloe, jelly etc. The lines get long, but doable. Also, a bonus is honeymee is right next door. IKYKY Parking isn't too bad since it's in a bigger lot.

Kayla H.

Yelp
The mango pomelo sago cooler is SO good. I tried this first in Berkeley and ever since, I have been addicted. Service/Ambiance: Service is usually a bit slow since they're busy but it's not too bad. I've waited much longer at other places before. Staff is typically friendly. The shop is pretty small, with only about 2 benches to sit while you wait for your drink. Drink Consensus: I've only ever tried the Mango Pomelo Sago. The drink is very refreshing and does not taste artificial at all. A lot of mango drinks from most boba shops are straight up syrup and this one isn't the case. The texture of the drink is a little less thicker than a smoothie, which I love. The pomelo/grapefruit and the sago adds the perfect texture to this drink, I love that the sago gets a bit frozen from the mango drink. This drink is a 10/10 for me. Even though the price is up there ($8) I would still buy it. I never really pay over 6 for a drink but this one is the exception. I would highly recommend trying this drink. It'd be perfect drink to have in the summer.

Vy D.

Yelp
It's boba o'clock! Who is with me? Yifang is known for their great fruit teas. Highlights of the menu: 1. Yifang fruit tea 2. Super trio traditional milk tea 3. Matcha latte milk tea

Jessica N.

Yelp
Small line on Sunday at 2pm. Plenty of parking and you can order from a tablet. Mountain Iced Tea: honestly you could go 25% sweetness with how flavorful the tea is. It was a like a hybrid flavor of black and green tea. Fresh Milk Taro Green Tea Latte: I had this at 50% sweet and it was very healthy tasting. Lots of taro paste and the fresh milk was rich. Green tea was subtle but added more depth to the milk. Definitely recommend mixing it first. Yifang Fruit Tea: very sweet even at 50% sugar but lots of different fruit like apples and passionfruit seeds. Very refreshing and slightly tangy fruity iced tea. Traditional Oolong Milk Tea: the milk overpowered the oolong so it was very subtle. 50% sugar was about right. Not too sweet but not too plain. Very fast customer service so I'd be interested in trying the other flavors.

Mike L.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday at 7pm. It was quite busy and rightfully so! One of my new favorite spots! Couldn't decide so I ordered 3 drinks. Went with the Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea, Yakult Fruit Tea, and the Mango Pomelo Sage Cooler. Enjoyed all three, but the Cooler was probably my favorite. Obviously I'll be back for more!

Crystal H.

Yelp
What I ordered: ** 9/10: Red Bean Matcha Frappe w/ Boba - $6.25 - got 100% sweet and it was perfect! - the red bean and matcha flavors were strong but did not overpower each other - was more of a icy milk tea rather than a frappe 6.5/10: Yifang Fruit Tea w/ Boba - $5.75 + $0.75 - 100% sugar, less ice - disappointing bc/ no tea flavor, more like sugar water! - fruits were very fresh, included orange, apple, and passion fruit Yifang is a popular boba chain that originates from Taiwan. It's not a good spot for groups, as the space inside is pretty limited. I decided to get Yifang today because I was craving fruit tea. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the sugar water like tea. The matcha was good though! Typically, Yifang does a really good job with fruit teas and maybe today was an off day. Also, their boba is smaller, between normal and mini sized boba. Drinks: 7.5/10 Service: 10/10 Total: 8/10

Ashley C.

Yelp
Came here in the afternoon around 1 pm on a weekday and it got a bit busy, but not a huge line or anything. This place is ideal for pickup orders as opposed to a sit-down place. I ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago Cooler ($7.75) at 70% sweetness which was perfect for me. The drink is super refreshing and while I'm normally not a fan of coconut milk drinks, the blend of mango and coconut milk was balanced and good. The sago and the pomelo pieces added some nice textures too. I would come back and try their other popular drinks.

Diana B.

Yelp
MANGO PAMELO. Need I say more?? There's a reason it's on their favorites list and there's a reason it's on Yelp's top drink list for this store. I will say there are grapefruit pieces that provide a great bitter contrast to the sweet drink. Granted, I get mine less sweet, so I can taste a little more of the bitterness. But if you don't like the taste of grapefruit, you might not like this because there's a lot of bits in the drink. I don't get any more add-ons because there's already a lot going on. For over $7 a drink, this is definitely a guilty pleasure, but then again, prices are going up everywhere so can you even get a drink for around $5 anywhere anymore??

Judy D.

Yelp
So thankful for this boba joint that uses real ingredients in their drinks and not all from syrups and artificial flavors. I got the sesame milk today with 50% sweet and it was delicious. It was a blended ice drink with some salted cream foam on top. Would definitely recommend this drink if you're into sesame. Will be back to try their other drinks. Service was quick got the drink in minutes.

Jessica P.

Yelp
usually go for the mango pomelo sago cooler! although the drink is pricey at $7.75. i got mine at 50% sweetness which is the perfect amount, it would be nice if the drink was a bit more blended tho! i also like the black sesame drink a lot, would def it again. workers are super sweet and drinks come out fast when even they're busy

Yan L.

Yelp
Solid Taiwanese boba shop and always a favorite anytime I'm in Irvine. This spot is super tiny - order and go type of vibe. Love their fresh fruit teas, yakult, and taro drinks. Sugar levels are adjustable and I usually get my drinks ~70% since 100% is really sweet. There's almost always a line on the weekends so order ahead if you don't want to wait. My go-tos: Pineapple Yakult Fresh Milk Taro Latte (no caffeine) Fresh Fruit Tea

Mary N.

Yelp
Ordered with the female staff 7 drinks and got charged for 7 but only received 6 drinks -_- Wintermelon tea- no sugar adjustment, was good Black sesame milk with red bean- "delicious" Fruit tea- ok, 50% sweet but still sweet Red bean matcha frappe w/boba- good very rich Strawberry fruit tea- missing No phone orders There's a kiosk and person taking orders Parking sucks especially around lunch time so don't come to this plaza on your lunch hour!

Norma M.

Yelp
Could not wait to try the mango pomelo with sago based on multiple Yelp reviews. I love this drink normally, however their version is a tad too sweet for me even at 70% sweetness.

Nancy T.

Yelp
There's always groups of people outside of this shop and had been meaning to try. Finally had the opportunity to and now I understand why. The shop is super cute, service is nice, and drinks were perfect! I am a 25-0% sweetness gal and the drinks lived up to the hype. Really enjoyed the fruit tea and how well the tea stood out and how fresh the fruits were! Want to try the black sesame milk next time!

Kay D.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place seems a little overhyped. I haven't really had anything good - the fruit teas are especially tart for my taste but overall it was an ok experience. The service was good but the drinks they serve don't necessarily pair well with boba.

Celine V.

Yelp
The very pretty & nice girl at the register was so charming. But anyway, the boba quality, tea, flavors, etc. are very good! That strawberry tea has some lime in it. I'm a peach tea kind of girl. Both were delicious. The sweetness is just perfect as is. I love the look of the store. It's small so it's more like boba to go. It's next to Honeyme in an Asian food plaza with lots of parking.

Liz C.

Yelp
I love Yifang. The service is always really friendly, the interior is clean, and the drinks and boba are consistently delicious. I've visited Yifang multiple times and I like trying new things so I've tried a decent number of drinks on their menu and I haven't been disappointed by any of them. Drinks I've tried: - Black Sesame Milk (9/10) (good sesame flavor and not too sweet) - Brown Sugar Cocoa Latte (9/10) (tastes like sweet and rich chocolate milk) - Hot Red Bean Sago (9/10) (like red bean dessert soup in a drink) - Mango Pomelo Sago Cooler (10/10) (I don't give out perfect 10's very often but I LOVE this drink) - Peach Fruit Tea (9/10) (they use real peaches and it tastes really fresh) - Peach Green Milk Tea (9/10) (again the peach flavor is really good) - Red Bean Matcha Frappe (8/10) (I don't love matcha but this red bean matcha frappe was really yummy) - Smashed Orange Yakult (8/10) (tastes like an orange creamsicle in a drink) - Strawberry Milk (8/10) (I wasn't expecting this drink to be blended but it's like a strawberry milkshake) - Traditional Milk Tea (7/10) (surprisingly, my least favorite of the drinks I've tried has been the traditional milk tea but I will note that my little brothers really like this drink)

Lynn L.

Yelp
ORDER mango pomelo sago cooler (4/5) i think this is one of their most popular drinks. it was super refreshing and was perfect for a hot day. definitely on the sweeter side as it was still too sweet for me even at 70%. also lowkey expensive.. around $8 w/ no additional toppings. worth trying tho :P SERVICE (5/5) it was pretty busy when i went, but service was quick and the cashier was able to answer a few of my questions. AMBIANCE super cool interior, but it is a pretty small store. there's an ordering kiosk for a quick and easy ordering process.

Kristine Y.

Yelp
Had the BEST fruit tea yet @yifang_irvine ! If you wanna taste Taiwan order the Yi Fang fruit tea, so full of fresh fruit it's kinda a snack too! It took me straight back to drinking fruit tea in Taiwan! I also had the yakult passion fruit tea, which was also super delish! Definitely can't wait to head back and it'll become a staple for me this summer for sure! The store is small and in the corner. Very clean. There is no where to sit and relax. It is exclusively a to go place. There are busy times like mealtime but the service is pretty quick and always with a smile.

Leilani P.

Yelp
i would always get yi fang in LA but i'm glad they opened up a location in OC! You have the option to order with the cashier or the kiosk upon walking in! the entrance is a bit small. i got the mango pomelo sago but without pomelo! i thought my drink this time around was just okay, the sago is usually soft when i have it but it was a bit hard and frozen

John N.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time. Good teas, cool decor and friendly service . Pricing is fare . Teas are flavorful and the mango pomelo sago is a must try

Miharu N.

Yelp
Went to Yifang today (7/6, Saturday) at 12:45pm and shocking to see that they are closed!!!! Hope they are just remodeling instead of permanently closed...

Alice C.

Yelp
This location has closed :(. Not sure if they are going to reopen but going to miss their fruit tea.

Valerie C.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Yifang. However for some reason, I just haven't fallen in love with Yifang @Irvine. I have been here a few times. In general, service has always been slow and drinks are just mediocre, but pricy. I should note that I've only tried the traditional brown sugar milk tea with boba, coz that's my go to, and I was never truly wow by it. Maybe coz their boba balls are smaller than others? I should try their fruit teas in the future, it seems like people really favs about their fruit teas.

Ryoung K.

Yelp
I had the yifang fruit tea with 50% sweetness. It was perfect for a warm spring day. It was very refreshing. The employees are nice and the tea came out pretty quickly. There's parking in the plaza as the shop is nearby 99 ranch.

Dex S.

Yelp
Saving you time. This place is closed. They gone. Bye. :( it was our go to place for drinks and for sure going to miss it.

Nate C.

Yelp
Yifang is a local favorite and largely unknown to the general (white) public, likely because of its location (located by 99 Ranch and surrounded by Chinese restaurants), however it's always bustling and rightly so. The drink selection is unique to the chain boba tea stores that are pervasive throughout Southern CA and largely cater to kids and those uninitiated to authentic Chinese & Taiwanese cuisine. The staff is friendly, diverse and happy to explain things, but if you're not familiar with these drinks, you might as well try them all. Hint - lines can be long and each drink is made to order, but you can order ahead from their site/app.

Marisca S.

Yelp
Their mango pomelo sago cooler was sooo good. Not a fan of the pomelo tho, Even it has crispy texture but it has bitter aftertaste. The line wasn't bad when we arrived but it got long right after we ordered. And the wait for our drink was over 20 minutes. We also had tea. I don't remember which one. It was fresh and very bitter.

Zabrina T.

Yelp
I come here for the mochi purple rice drink and get it with 30% sweetness (Just right for me). Please keep it on your menu!

Tran N.

Yelp
Great spot for boba fix! This place draws our attention with the ambiance: nice, wood-like store. The staff is friendly that can give us information about the drink. I was hesitate at first to try Mochi Black Sticky rice, but decided to give it a go after the staff's description. I was impress with the drinkable mochi texture! Soft and chewy with light sweet. It paired well with the black sticky rice which was cooked perfectly, not too mushy, not too hard. The mil tea, however, needs more tea flavor and sweetness. I ordered full sweet, light ice, but it still not sweet enough to me. Avocado mango drink was really good and refreshing! The avocado smoothie blended really great with mango pulps that made the drink unique. We tried matcha latte too and I was amazed of the tea high quality. Highly recommended! Can't wait to come back and try more drinks on the menu.

Laura H.

Yelp
After trying a few drinks here, I wouldn't say that I'm a huge fan, but I also wouldn't say that it's just plain awful. I would say mid-tier or average Taiwanese boba shop. Traditional Milk Tea: not very memorable, but I think it might have had a flavor similar to Sun Moon Lake tea? Maybe almost herbal-like. More watery than creamy/milky. Brown Sugar drinks: pretty tasty, probably because of that potent brown sugar syrup generously drizzled and enveloping the boba. Much sweeter than their other stuff. I have no discipline for these types of milk drinks/teas. I think most people come here for the fruity stuff, but even those have been a hit-or-miss among me and my tea-loving friends. I haven't had the urge to revisit Yi Fang, which is surprising since there was so much hype when it first opened :/

Sammy M.

Yelp
Bad spot wouldn't recommend. Got 3 different fruit drinks including the house fruit drink which ironically was the worst tasting. House Fruit Tea was so sour/bitter and disgusting. I'm surprised it's their "signature" drink when the taste is a 1/10 compared to even other boba shops. Peach and Strawberry teas were a bit better but not by much. For almost $7 per drink, save you're money and go elsewhere like 7 leaves or 85degrees. This spot lacks quality, taste, and prices are insane

Iris B.

Yelp
So so good. I love how they blend the drink so it never gets watered down. It could be a bit sweet so recommend 70%!

Andrew L.

Yelp
Yifang is a great place in Irvine to get teas and drinks. Their menu has a wide selection of various drinks such as milk teas, fruit teas, and other teas. My favorite drink on the menu is the wintermelon tea, which is extremely flavorful and not too sweet. This is my favorite place to get wintermelon tea. You can adjust the sweetness of your drink if you want, which I like. The ambiance inside is nice and modern. The service is quick, too. Yifang is a great place to get drinks.

Mel H.

Yelp
They are more for drinks than food. I love my avocado mango drink. It was slushy and not too sweet with boba. My other relatives ordered honey boba and milk tea drink and they said both were really good too. You have to order at the counter and then they call your number when your drink is ready. Cute little place in Orange County located in a small strip mall. Must try at the OC area.

Jonna G.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and realized my job was right next to this place. It's located in the same plaza as 99 ranch and there's plenty of parking! Drinks: + Mango Pomelo Sago Cooler: I honestly came here for this drink and I'm such a fan! The sago had the perfect texture and I love the bits of pomelo which complimented the mango. Next time, I'll get it with less sugar and I'm sure it'll still taste amazing! +Sugarcane Mountain Tea: I got this for my mom and she loved the drink! She suggested to get it less sweet next time since it is on the sweeter side. I tried it and it's very refreshing! Love the blend of sugarcane and tea Overall, I'm glad I tried this place out and the mango pomelo sago is def one of my top fave boba drink!

Jessica D.

Yelp
I discovered Yifang while in LA and was so happy to find out there was this location in Irvine so much closer for me! I really like their milk tea less sweet, just very simple yet flavorful. I'd get the trio version since that's what I did in LA and I was able to pick my three toppings, which I'd get a scoop of boba and two scoops of the mini taro mochi - that's my favorite part. Now I don't know if it just depends on who's working but I've only been able to change up my toppings once here. The other times I've gone, they were more strict with changing it out and said I had to have the set trio toppings? Otherwise I'd just have to get the milk tea and add on the toppings I'd want. Not a big deal, but kinda lame. The milk tea is still good though but there isn't consistency in the trio rule apparently. Small shop and is meant for more of an in and out ordering/pick up.

Gloria L.

Yelp
I love coming here for their quality fruit teas and unique drinks. I usually get their Yifang fruit tea which comes with an assortment of fruits. This visit, we got the Super trio wintermelon tea, black sesame milk, and the avocado mango cooler. All the drinks were so good! The avocado mango cooler was very refreshing with mango and agar boba. The black sesame milk tasted just like any black sesame dessert and was very creamy. The wintermelon came with boba, grass jelly, and sago and I substituted the boba for taro mochi and it was delicious. Definitely a great spot for quality teas and drinks!

Nick C.

Yelp
Great tasting fruit tea, cant go wrong. I got the passion fruit tea with less ice and 70% sweetness and it tasted great with good ratios

Christina K.

Yelp
Easily some of the best boba I've ever had. The location was perfect and very quaint. Their menu has a ton of creative but still authentic options that are undoubtedly delicious. I got the brown sugar milk tea which is definitely a great choice if you're new to boba and trying out the basics. If you're looking for something a little more adventurous I highly suggest the sesame milk with boba. It's perfectly sweet and nutty! The boba itself is smaller than the standard boba but theres a ton of it and it's super chewy which I love. There was a nice ratio of black tea to milk so it wasn't overly sweet like some other boba teas can be. I am already planning my next trip back!

Kayden C.

Yelp
honestly pretty good. tried their taro balls and they were what was advertised. very unique and overall great quality tea and drinks. cute aesthetic that makes you feel like you're in taiwan (i've never been). Service and worker was super nice and helped me decide what to get. close by ish-- will be back most likely
