"Taiwan-based chain Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea is now open just across from the UC Berkeley campus. With a slightly tighter menu than most Taiwanese bubble tea shops, Yifang aims to set itself apart with additive- and preservative-free teas and a focus on fruity flavors. Google
Super delicious fruit, tea, and the other drink choices. This is an authentic Taiwanese tea with a lot of Taiwanese local ingredients. I strongly recommended if you want to try true and authentic Taiwanese tea.

Stopped by after touring UC Berkeley. A little pricey. 4 drinks and 2 orders of the egg pancake was $44. There are 2 self order kiosks. We were the only ones there so everything was done in 5-7 minutes. The menu states the egg pancakes can be 10-15 minutes. Drinks were good. Boba was still warm. It is nice and chewy. The egg pancake is a like a pancake/waffle with a Mochi like texture. Nothing inside which is what we prefer. There is no seating but you can go across the street and find a place outside to sit on campus.

Google
This is the best boba place ive even been to. They are well known for the fruit teas but personally i love their brown sugar milk tea. The boba is also very chewy. If you love sugarcane, they have sugarcane milk for u to try. Also try their wintermelon drink

Google
I had the lugu oolong tea with jelly, good customization options and the tea had a nice flavor and strength without tasting oversteeped.

Google
The mango sago tastes not bad and above average. Not much coconut flavour and mango is not sufficient. They don't have any seats to drink and relax. Given the pricy juice and hot environment inside the shop I would give 3 star.

Google
This is a Taiwanese style boba tea place. It's very popular and it's take out only. There is good variety of milk and fruit tea and they are quite good.

My first time trying Taiwanese pearl milk tea drink in the US! And for the first timer, Yifang gives me a good impression with the great taste drink. Yifang in the US now is only located in California. The one that we visited is located only 1 minutes walking from University of California, Berkeley, so that we could see a lot of student here. Their speciality is definitely the fruit tea, especially pineapple. Well, because I was so excited with matcha drink, I skipped their signature drink. If I come back to Yifang again, I definitely will try their fruit tea 🙂 Yifang serves variant of drink made from Tea, Yakult, Sugar Cane, Fruit Tea, Tea Latte, Salted Cream with medium and large size. We could also request for the sweetness and ice level. I tried Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Latte in medium size (USD 5.5). A combination of uji matcha, brown sugar pearl, plus the brown sugar itself. What a good combination! Love the freshness and the less sweet taste. The small pearl is tender, too.

Google
Superior boba (tapioca pearls). They were soft with the perfect amount of chewiness and sweetness. The smoothie drink portion is interesting. I didn’t quite find a right combination. I had a matcha with almond milk mix, which wasn’t good on my part because although the taste was nice, it was a bit thick. Also tried, the Yifang fruit tea. It has actual slices of fruit in it so it wasn’t my taste and took up space. They also had passion fruit seeds in it that were a bit crunchy. I definitely need to go back and give it another go.

Yelp
Yi Fang is that girl and can't be competed with by these other boba spots in Berkeley! A go-to spot from college that I'll come back to campus for. I highly recommend the mango sago, lemonade wintermelon tea, and the black brown sugar tea if you're craving something more sweet and milky. Their egg pancakes are shaped like bubble tea!!!!! Soft, fluffy, and not to sweet. Line and wait are long, so I suggest ordering before or use the kiosk and walk around to kill time.

Yelp
Always love stopping by Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea whenever I'm in a city with one! This one was located right by UC Berkeley's campus which was very convenient since I was there for a basketball game. I ordered the Yifang Fruit Tea as always, and thought it was very refreshing. I love how they have a lot of fresh fruit inside, and the tea flavor isn't too forward. I ended up getting 70% sweetness, and thought it was the perfect amount. I do wish my drink had a little more ice as I like my drinks cold, and this one wasn't as cold. Ordering was very quick as it was contactless and the drinks came out very fast as well.

Lilian W.

Yelp
Yi Fang, located near Sproul Plaza across from UC Berkeley's campus, specializes in fruit teas and offers a typical Yi Fang ambiance with kiosks for ordering, a small bench for seating, and a window for pick-up. The ordering process is nearly contactless and straightforward. I tried their Signature Yi Fang Fruit Tea for $7.10, opting for 50% sweetness. Unfortunately, the flavor fell flat, and I would recommend going with a higher sweetness level for better taste. Despite the underwhelming flavor, the inclusion of real fruits in the tea is a nice touch, doubling as a snack after finishing the drink. There's also a $0.25 mandatory city cup fee, which makes the already expensive drink even pricier. While Yi Fang usually offers reliable quality, this visit didn't meet expectations, and it wasn't the best experience compared to other locations.

Yelp
Mango Sago for the win. After class treats are the best and I am very fortunate to have a boba shop near campus on the Saturdays that I am here. I've been a fan of Yi Fang even when I lived in SoCal and it warms my heart to know that this one was walking distance to my class. My go to is the mango sago because it is a tasty drink and reminds me a lot of home since my mom would make a dessert similar to it. The shop is small and is more of a order and take out shop. It has a small seating area for you to wait but most people wait outside or walk around the corner to get bread at Sheng kee...because bread and boba is a must! The service is quick and the staff are friendly. There are many tea options and caffeinated options as well for the late afternoon time. I am so glad that it is walking distance and quick, it's an easy way to grab yummy drink before heading back to class!

Alex M.

Yelp
With an abundance of boba tea options near the UC Berkeley campus, Yi Fang has become one of my favorites. Apart from their convenient location right next to campus, Yi Fang has the greatest variety of drinks. For example, I was excited to see that they offer a black sesame latte - one of my favorite drinks that's hard to find in many local boba shops. They also have sago drinks, which I learned are popular in Singapore. The shop is literally a hole in the wall, where you place your order at the kiosk and pick up your drink at the window. On this last visit, I ordered the black sesame latte with the lowest level of sweetness and boba. My order took about 10 minutes to prepare, as there were a few customers ahead of me in line. My black sesame latte had a generous amount of black sesame paste, and the tea flavor was stronger than expected - I wish I would have ordered one sweetness level higher. With those adjustments, it would have been perfect. I'm sure there will be many more visits to Yi Fang in the future so I can explore their menu!

Yelp
Always a pleasure to stop by Yifang after class on Mondays. Their drinks are the perfect balance of fruit and tea; nobody makes fruit tea quite like them. Sweetness is fine-tuned to a T by the masterful baristas -- whatever your preference is, they can make it. I often go for their signature drink, the Yifang Fruit Tea. I love the different amount of fresh fruits that they put into the drink: apples slices, orange slices, passion fruit, pear, just to name a few. The natural sweetness of the fruits just elevates the quality of the drink so much, and turns a regular cup of iced tea into something so delightfully refreshing -- healthy, even. I've also tried a few others, like the Passion Fruit Green Tea, the Wintermelon Drink, and the Multi-Floral Honey Mountain Tea. I enjoyed all three of them, but none of them really came close to the Yifang Fruit Tea in terms of flavor. Overall a really solid place for fruit tea, definitely recommend. Pictures: Yifang Fruit Tea (picture taken during BART collab), Multi-Floral Honey Mountain Tea.

Yelp
Black tea pearl is easily their specialty and crave worthy. Besides that they stand out for their fruit based teas which are equally incredible. Easily a top 3 boba chain hands down. Service is normal, ambiance is good and not too extra as other boba places can tend to have.

Andrew S.

Yelp
Love getting the refreshing fruit teas at Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea! The Yifang Fruit Tea, made with fresh fruits like pineapple, passion fruit, apple, and orange, was a delightful burst of natural flavors. The drinks are beautifully balanced, not too sweet, and the quality of the ingredients really shines through. When it comes to fruit tea, I really enjoy coming to Yi Fang, so many different types of fruit teas to try that they keep me coming back~

Otto L.

Yelp
Mango pomelo sago: 4/5. 30% sugar is just right if you don't want it to be too sweet. Order through the kiosk. In 10 min, the drink is ready.

Eugene Y.

Yelp
Good variety of tea/boba drinks. I don't really like ordering on their machines, but the product they serve is good. A bit too sweet for me, even at only 30% sweetness. The extras, especially the fresh fruit is very good! Enjoy!

Cindy C.

Yelp
Gotta love Yi Fang Drinks.. I usually go to the Alameda location bc there's tons of parking there.

Donlha S.

Yelp
That black pearl tea or whatever boba is amazing!!!!! Probably one of the best boba place I've been to.

Claire L.

Yelp
I ordered the grapefruit yakult here. It was pretty good and not too sweet at 25% sugar, but Yi Fang's fruit drinks tend to be quite pricey, and I think their cup sizes are a bit smaller than others'. For yakult drinks, they also tend to separate a bit from the acidity of the fruit, so beware of that as well. They also do the $0.25 cup fee. They just have one bench for seating inside.

Yumi R.

Yelp
My absolute favorite tea and boba spot! I've been to the one is Seattle and this location didn't disappoint either! Great flavors, easy kiosk to order from and the little egg pancake shaped like boba is adorable and delicious! Service is fast enough... they were busy being across the street from Cal. It's a cute spot setting all the students gather for their boba!

Linda C.

Yelp
Looooooove Yi Fang's mango pomelo sago (30% sweet). At first I tried the mango sago, and hated it (didn't even finish it). *BUT* the mango pomelo is absolutely amazing. 10/10. The key is that the mango pomelo includes coconut milk, and it makes all. the. difference. It's sweet and tart. Crushed ice adds great texture. It's also not too sweet. I personally even like this drink without sago, but that's just me. :) ALSO, I recently tried the mini egg pancakes that were shaped as a bubble tea drink, and they were so delicious, warm, and fluffy. I would recommend this too. I've tried a number of their other drinks from YiFang but the mango pomelo sago is truly their best drink, and the best mango sago drink compared to other spots in the area (I genuinely can't think of a better spot). If you want to streamline the ordering process (since it can take up to 10 minutes to make drinks) and earn points, you can order ahead on the snack pass app. FYI both time I've gone recently (once on a weekday and another on a weekend) they closed at 9pm (not 8pm as Yelp says) currently. I would just call to confirm hours. Space is super cute.

Yelp
Yesterday I came to Yi Fang after doing a campus tour of UC Berkeley for fun. If your a Cal Student it's very conveniently located right across campus! For everyone else, it's right around the corner from Telegraph with lots of other fun food and shopping to do. I came in ordered on the tablet, I was really excited to see that they had the Egg Pancakes that look like a little Boba cup at this location! I've been wanting to try it for a while, so it was nice to finally give it a try! They bake it fresh for you so you have to wait a lil bit longer then if you just order a drink, however it really didn't take long at all! I love that it's made fresh for you and not just sitting waiting to be reheated. You can tell it's fresh from its softness and flavor! I really enjoyed it, it's great snack to go with your drink. I didn't want anything too caffeinated this time so I opted for the Winter Melon Lemonade, since I like those both but never had them combined in one drink! I did 70% sweetness and it was sweet but I think I may go for 100% on this one next time. It was a unique combo of flavors and was cool to try something different, very refreshing too since it was a hot day! They do have a bench inside but I recommend taking your drinks/pancakes to sit somewhere on the UC Berkeley campus or on a walk down Telegraph while you shop! Loved this location, will definitely be back whenever I'm in Berkeley!

Yelp
I decided to come back and order a peach green tea latte regular size, 30% sweet, less ice since on Mondays, they have a 20% off discount if you order through the Snackpass app. In Snackpass, they charge $0.25 on top to cover city of Berkeley's cup charge. The peach bits were quite sweet, which goes nicely with having the tea/drink itself set to a lower sweetness level. It's a decent option if you like both fruity teas and milk tea. I do think the standard cup size is rather small relative to the price though, and although their drinks are consistent in quality, I still feel they are quite overpriced. The drink was made super fast though, so kudos to the barista who made mine.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Came here for the strawberry sago, 0% sugar for $6.20. Even on a Monday it's on the busier side. Took 20 minutes to get our 2 drinks. The flavor is good, but I would've liked for the drink to be a little less foamy. There is a lot of sago, and the quality of the drink itself is good.

Kai M.

Yelp
yifang had amazing service, not enough people are talking about it. I forgot a topping in my drink and they added it in free of charge, no questions asked. and the snackpass punchcard for a free drink after 18 orders is not a bad deal at all. my one complaint is that they have the same music in the shop playing on repeat, which can get really annoying

Pleasure S.

Yelp
Best fruit tea you ever find. The combinations are amazing and you can adjust them to your desired sweetness and ice levels. We visit this establishment every time we are in the area at least twice sometimes more and I always get a few to bring home since they are sealed and I can request no ice. When I get home I put my own ice in my cup and enjoy. This is a small hole in the wall with no seats to sit down and enjoy but I guarantee that you won't be disappointed. I have tried just about everything on the menu and I really enjoy the Sago Pomelo. You can order straight from the menu or let your imagination be your guide.

Miriam W.

Yelp
The salted cream oolong tea was delicious. Well brewed, flavorful tea. Their location directly across from UC Berkeley makes parking very difficult while school is in session so come on foot, by transit, or during a school break.

Emma G.

Yelp
The mango pomelo sago has single handedly gotten me through hardship, it has opened my eyes to the beauty in the world. If yi fang's mango pomelo sago has no fans I'm dead.

Katherine G.

Yelp
Not sure how I've never rated this spot before given that I've been a student for nearly 4 years now. However, I will say YiFang has definitely grown on me throughout time. They probably have some of the most high-quality drinks you can in the area, which makes the high price point worth it. Plus, you can get 30% off if you order with friends through the Snackpass app which makes it a great deal. I've tried quite a few drinks ranging from milk teas to fruit teas to slushies. However, my favorites I've tried are probably the fruit teas. The mango pomelo sago is also a popular one here that is quite good as well. In terms of toppings, I really like the mini taro balls which are similar to boba but are more satisfying to chew for me. Their brown sugar boba drinks are quite sweet, which I'm not too huge a fan of. Overall, for some fresh ingredients and high quality drinks I'd choose YiFang any day :)

Rachel D.

Yelp
Stopped by for my first time here, ordered two boba teas. Fruit tea and strawberry matcha oat milk tea. Both fresh and good. My fruit tea had a bit too much chia seeds but it was good nonetheless

Jessica L.

Yelp
I HIGHLY recommend their egg pancakes! They are so good especially when I'm craving taiyaki. Seriously, you should try it! I'm not the biggest fan of their drinks so I only come here for the egg pancakes.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Yi Fang has a kiosk ordering system, so it's easy to select your customizations and see all the options right in front of you as you make your selection. I tried the Taro Green Tea Latte (with boba) and Mango Pomelo Sago. The Taro wasn't anything special. It does have some chucks of taro in the drink, which I appreciated; I don't enjoy when taro drinks are just made from powder. However, it wasn't the best taro drink I've had. The texture and lack of flavor of the boba made me wish I hadn't added it on; boba was not that soft or chewy and were smaller than I like the boba in my drinks to be. The Mango Pomelo Sago was the better drink (by a long shot) of the two drinks, in my opinion. Based on my visit here, I would recommend the fruit drinks over the other types of drinks. I also don't think you'd be missing out if you opted to skip getting the boba from here.

Rose L.

Yelp
Yi Fang is my go-to for SnackPass orders. If you don't order on SnackPass, there is a kiosk available in-store for easy ordering. Other than that, the 30% off with friends is too good of a deal to pass up. Drinks are about $5 dollars with that discount which is overall a great deal, especially in the Bay Area and with inflation. My favorite drink is the Black Milk Pearl Latte with Brown Sugar. It is not too sweet and it has a perfect balance of black sugar, sweetness, and tea. I also got the strawberry milk which was also really good. It is the perfect balance of strawberries and milk and it's overall really good. I really want to check out the matcha drinks next time I come around. I also tried the pancakes! It's about 5 pieces for $5 dollars-ish which is a bit on the pricier side. It is really good and has the texture of a softer taiyaki with no filling. Overall, I will be back in the future for drinks and other aspects.

Vivian L.

Yelp
2022/09/18 15:30 I got a medium fresh Taiwanese taro latte with 30% sugar, no ice, and grass jelly. The medium was pretty expensive for the amount of drink you get. The taro was a little grainy; I'd prefer if they blended it into the milk better. The grass jelly was cut up into small chunks. It was pretty sweet at only 30% sugar, so I might try 0% next time.

Howell L.

Yelp
The last few times I've gone, I've ordered a drink with aiyu jelly and haven't gotten aiyu jelly within it. Aiyu jelly is dark orange and cut into large squares, so it is pretty clear whether or not a drink has it. I went during rush hour, so this is likely why they missed my drink in the craziness. I didn't ask them to remake or add the jelly because I didn't want to disturb them while they were so busy, and I'm perfectly content to take my drink without the aiyu jelly, it's just a bummer since I like it. Drink is still delicious even without the aiyu jelly, but be mindful of when you order and how much you modify your order during that time since modifications do cost extra. You can probably ask them to add it if they mess up, but I haven't tried. I also tried their avocado matcha latte, and it was so bad I had to throw it away. It had too much matcha powder causing any avocado within the drink to be washed away. I was hoping for the creaminess of an avocado with a touch of matcha but instead got a matcha latte that avocado breathed on. The texture was grainy and unpleasant or else I would have finished the drink instead of throwing it away. Many of my friends as well as my partner have given rave reviews for the mango pomelo sago so I'd suggest giving that one a try. Sticking to their wonderful fruit teas from now on.

Ivy L.

Yelp
AH YUM, right next to berkeley so i've tried so many drinks from them, the purple rice one is rly good too. honestly hella pricey but worth the occasional (very occasional) splurge

Serina A.

Yelp
I was coming here everyday when I first moved to Berkeley. The Yakult teas and Oolong teas are my favorite. I'll usually add taro balls and Mochi jelly!! Those are the best two topping options, but their boba is also delicious with a perfect consistency. I think this is a bit pricier for the area, but honestly I think it's worth it sometimes.

Mia H.

Yelp
Yi Fang is definitely a favorite when it comes to fruit tea and pretty reliable. Every time I've been, the service has been really quick and the tea has always been delicious. The first thing I would note though is that it tends to get very busy, so depending on when you go you might get stuck in a long line. The options are also pretty limited in terms of milk tea and boba, as this is a fruit tea place (just so you are aware!). However, the milk tea options they do have are still good! I typically tend to get 25-50% sweet as it's made very sweet and always with less ice. Always a safe and good choice and I love to get it with friends.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Mango sago for the win here! Not many tea shops in this area, have this specialty drink and I love how they do! They have salted cream, fruit teas, red beans and other gourmet teas here to choose from! Each tea drink that I've ordered so far, is refreshing! I adore their sets of different types of teas!

Alessandra G.

Yelp
I know boba is all the rage but I'm just not that into it, however my kids love it! I do however like sago which is more like traditional tapioca pearls. I read an article about this place and they have a mango pomelo sago drink. I tried it recently and it was bomb! Nice contrast between tart and sweet. I wish there was a little more pomelo in the drink but it was still delicious!

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Ordered the mango pomelo sago drink! Not too thick , not too sweet So refreshing on a hot day. Wait was about 6 minutes after ordering on a busy

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
This Yi Fang is right across from the UC Berkeley campus. This is a very busy and crowded store, so drink times may vary and it could be a long wait. Parking is paid street parking. On this particular visit, I tried their Mango Sago with boba at 50% sweetness and Strawberry Fruit Tea with boba at 50% sweetness as well. The Mango Sago had a sour/tangy mango taste to it with a bitter aftertaste to it. The 50% sweetness level was a good sweet, but it could use a tad less sweet. The Strawberry Fruit Tea has a good strawberry taste to it with a subtle tea taste to it. The 50% sweetness level was a good sweet, but it could be a bit more sweeter. The boba was very chewy and bouncy.

Dararith L.

Yelp
After a 4 mile hike on a hot Saturday, I wanted something refreshing to drink. I came to Yi Fang and ordered sugarcane mountain tea (30% sugar), Sun Moon Lake Black Tea (50% sugar), and their namesake Yifang Fruit tea (50% sugar). The sugar cane at 30% sugar is the right amount of sweetness for me for the sugarcane mountain tea drink, but the tea taste is really weak. The boba size is smaller than usual compared to other places, which I didn't like. The taste of the boba is lacking as well. Also the fruit tea probably doesn't need any sugar at all. The natural sugar from the fruit is actually enough, so adding any additional sugar is just over the top too much, and so the 50% sugar just made it undrinkable for me.

Qingyang H.

Yelp
Years ago when I became a Berkeley student there was no much choices on milk tea and other types of tea drinks around campus, and YiFang's opening was a super exciting thing. Now that it has been opened for years, YiFang has long become my top 1 choice for drinks around campus. Not to mention its signature fruit tea, what I like most about YiFang is that it updates its menu frequently with special fruit tea varieties highlighting seasonal fruit. For some recent visits, I enjoyed melon fruit tea and grape fruit tea. Various chewy add-ons like crystal boba, aloe, aiyu jelly, and sago are perfect match to fruit based tea - they are not having a strong flavor on them own (unlike brown sugar boba), and the transparent appearance looks great with the color of fruit tea. Two things I hope YiFang could improve in the future: one, in many cases, I find 30% sweetness still too sweet to me (both for my tongue, and for calories); two, service basically non-existent, you can only place the order at an electric kiosk and wait your number to be called - but sometimes there are strange errors that your number appears and disappears on the screen so you don't know whether your order is correctly handled. Besides, wait time really long. Best to pre order on Doordash or Snackpass ahead.

Kyra K.

Yelp
Yifang has always been in my top 5 Berkeley boba spots whenever I'm back home. I enjoy coming here for their variety of fruit teas and milk teas. I'm home for the summer and wanted to get boba with my friend. Normally my friends and I get boba late at night but Yifang has since updated their hours and close earlier now. When my friend and I ordered our drinks around 5:30 p.m. they were already sold out of boba pearls and the Brown Sugar Pearl Latte. I ordered my drink on Snackpass which offers discounts and has an easy pickup system. Today I was able to get 20% off my drink using the app during Yifang's happy hour! I got the Winter Melon Latte with soy milk and light ice. Snackpass didn't offer a section for sweetness level for the Winter Melon Latte so I manually put a note in requesting for less sweetness. I'm not sure if the note went through, but when I got my drink it was still pretty sweet. The drink itself was light, creamy, and refreshing. I also like how it's non caffeinated. I'll be back to Yifang but hopefully next time I'll be able to get boba in my drink amidst this shortage!

Casey W.

Yelp
If you like fresh tasting mango with a super creamy base... their special mango drink is to die for. I was hesitant with the grapefruit added but it gave it a fun chewy and bursting texture!

Heather S.

Yelp
Located right across UC Berkeley, I feel like this is one of the staple boba spots around town. The drinks are always refreshing and the boba has a nice consistency, though I didn't get any last time. The drinks also come out SUPER fast despite a seemingly long line which I really appreciated. Their fruit teas also always contain fresh fruit in it which is also a plus! -- - Lemon Green Tea ($4.75) // One of my favorites at Yifang because of its super refreshing and tart flavor. The drink was reminiscent of lemonade with tea undertones which I thoroughly enjoyed. I got it at 70% sugar which was what they recommended, but I honestly would have preferred 50% or even 30% sugar. The drink also had a slice of lime, I believe, which was super cute!

madeeha k.

Yelp
This my favorite boba spot! I love getting the mango pomelo sago, it's just the right amount of sweetness without the overload of sugar. Their service is also pretty good, like most boba shops, you just order via the kiosk and then pick up when ready.

Helen H.

Yelp
This place was my favorite boba spot in the area for all the 4 years I spent here for college. The lines get really crowded on hot days and around the afternoon so if you don't want to wait you should really order on snackpass! The drinks are a little pricey compared to the cheaper boba spots in the area but they have promotions on snackpass that make it not so bad and honestly, they have teas and drinks that aren't available anywhere else that are worth the price in my opinion. I tried their little taiwanese egg pancakes once too (like when they first came out and had a promo on snackpass lol) and they were good even if I wouldn't pay full price for them! As for drinks you can't really go wrong here-- I must've tried over half the menu and never really left not liking my drink.

Aliza R.

Yelp
First time trying the tea here. Got the winter special Ginger Latte at 50% sweetness and regular milk. Was surprisingly good! I like that you either use the kiosk or online for ordering. Easy to use and makes for quick efficient service. You're assigned a number and it displays on a screen inside. When it's ready, you go up to the window and they give you your drink. I will be back again!

Jun-Jun L.

Yelp
I'm glad my manager recommended this boba place to me because this is one of the best boba I've had in awhile. I ordered the brown sugar pearl matcha latte, and it didn't disappoint at all! The drink is pretty aesthetic and IG worthy, but make sure you take the picture before you mix it. The boba was made and covered in brown sugar - tastes like it was stir fried too! The boba was fresh and chewy and sweet enough to balance out the bitterness of the matcha. I asked for less sugar, since my sweet tooth has gone down a bit, and it was still really great! I'm definitely coming back here again to try their other drinks, since they have a ton to choose from. Thank you to my manager for recommending this place to me!

Yelp
So delicious! So fast! No worries thar your order was misinterpreted. There are 2 kiosks in the front for ordering. You can decide % of sugar and any additions. Details, details. Magically, your order will show up in the window announced. Convenient location next to Berkeley campus.

Yelp
I ordered a matcha boba and it kind of just tasted like milk. Wasn't a huge fan. My boyfriend ordered the yifang fruit tea and that was really good! I also liked the kiosks they have, and how they give recommendation on sweetness and ice level. Makes ordering super easy!

Yelp
After hearing about the upcoming BOBA SHORTAGE?! We decided we needed to order boba asap and tried out Yifang. I have to say it was really tasty, but also it was really pricey. I ordered the brown sugar pearl latte which is their version of brown sugar boba milk or mudslide, and it was super creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness. The boba they use here is smaller than other places, which I wasn't the biggest fan of because I prefer big boba, but that's just me. My main complaint was that the large was $8.40?! That's a new record for a boba drink for me. I'd say it was a yummy drink but not really worth that price point. I did order through Caviar, so it might be higher pricing - but even if it were a dollar cheaper, $7 is still definitely on the high end for boba. I also got the Grass Jelly Almond Latte for my boyfriend and he really liked his drink too! One thing to point out though is it's actually a slushy drink and not a latte at all. In the drink description, it didn't say anything about that so just FYI if you want to try that drink, keep in mind it's a slushy/icee. Also be ready to shelf out $8.70 for a large. All in all, everything was good and considering that this might be the last boba we have before the upcoming shortage, I have no regrets! We might come back here again if we're feeling bougie but probably going to stick with a little more budget friendly boba for now.

Yelp
First time trying this location! I was sadly not satisfied with my ordered from the other locations that I've tried (stonestown galleria and SF Chinatown). I decided to give this location a try hoping it would be better and I would have to say it was ok... I ordered three drinks: Yifang fruit tea, mango pomelo sago and the oolong tea with salted cream and boba. The fruit tea was a bit disappointing (reason why I knocked a star off). I was hoping for a refreshing sweet tea but the pineapple that they used threw the flavor off. I'm not a fan of dried sugared pineapple and that's what it tasted like in the drink. If the tea did not have the pineapple, it would've been perfect in my opinion. I know, yifang is known for their pineapple drinks... I guess it is not for me :( My favorite item is the mango pomelo sago drink! The mango was sweet and it was nicely blended with ice to perfection! The pulp of pomelo and sago added a nice touch to the drink! It was truly a drink version of the famous HK style mango sago dessert! I think I gave Yifang a try plenty of times and they're all about the same. I most likely won't try another location but of course if you're a fan of Yifang, no disrespect, just my personal preference to try as many boba places as I possibly can! ;)
