Almost every drink we've had from 7 Miles so far has been delicious and something I would get again. Not quite sure what to make of their new menu, though - they took away a lot of our favorites and the new additions are not necessarily something we would order.
One of the things I love most about this boba shop is that they offer sago as a topping, which is hard to find, and the quality of their sago is always on point. If you're not familiar with sago, it's basically the clear little bubbles that you would find in a tapioca pudding. I love them more than boba.
My favorite drink to order if it's early in the afternoon is one of their tea lab originals - lately it's been the jasmine with sago and cloud top. I get it with no sugar because the sago and cloud top provide enough sweetness for me, though my daughter always complains that it's bitter. I just tried the osmanthus oolong the other day, and that is a great addition to the menu with nice floral overtones, though it did taste a little bitter. That is the one criticism I have of 7 Miles - the quality of the tea brewing is inconsistent. Sometimes it's perfect, and sometimes it tastes like it has been steeping for too long.
The rest of my family loves the fruit teas, and they are delicious. The mango passion fruit tea and the 7's mango pomelo are favorites. I also recommend the sour strawberry jasmine, the watermelon jasmine, and sweet white peach jasmine. They've removed the only drink I didn't like from the new menu - it had lychee and coconut and was just overwhelmingly sweet. Sad that they also removed the watermelon coconut drink, which was very refreshing. The watermelon jasmine is not a good replacement for me because of the caffeine.
Not sure if they will continue to do soft serve with the Indigo Cow that just opened down the street, but their soft serve was delicious and we loved the toppings.
They can get quite busy at times, so I typically order in advance on Toast.
Honestly, there are just two things that would improve the boba experience for me here: (1) improve the consistency of the tea brewing; and (2) offer more caffeine-free options that are not just fruit smoothies or filled with sugar. Would really love an herbal tea that tastes more like tea and not like rooibos or hibiscus. If they could do that, I would be here all the time.
