15 Essential Korean Restaurants to Try in Orange County

"Yigah already made its mark on the 38 Essential Orange County Restaurants for its expansive Korean comfort food menu. Soups include the seolleongtang made with simmered ox bones, the green onion-laden braised beef ribs, and gamjatang, a spicy pork back-bone stew flavored with perilla leaves and huge potato chunks. Most diners order a couple of dishes like the crispy katsu cutlet or octopus bibimbap for the table to share, along with bubbling bowls of soup." - Jenn Tanaka

The 38 Essential Orange County Restaurants

"Korean comfort food served in large portions is what Yigah is known for in Orange County. Both the Garden Grove restaurant and its sister location in Irvine at Diamond Jamboree shopping center serve steamy galbi tang, beef short rib soup, as well as the bossam meal with boiled pork belly, napa cabbage, and spicy pickled radish." - Jenn Tanaka

Google
Very easy to access and plenty of parking spots right in front of the restaurant. We were warmly welcome by a lady, place is clean and nicely decorated We ordered Sullong Tang, ox bone soups. One with brisket and one with brisket/ beef tongue. Both were very tasty with a lot of beef chunks. The glass noodles are delicious. What is good with this soup is it is served unsalted, and you adjust the slat level yourself. The side veggie plates were delicious, fresh, and we were offered refills. Overall a very good diner. Will come back for sure

Google
Good Korean restaurant for family, they have plenty of local korean food & the quantity for each food really big. Taste was good, food is quality too. They got soju too.

Google
Don't order togo here. They overcharge you and give you only 1/2 portion of what other restaurants give you. There are thousands of other restaurants who gives you alot more for what you paid. We paid $80 for this small container beef soup with no meat. This container is only a size of a rice bowl and they charge you $20/smallest container for rice. Other restaurants give you 3 times more for $20. This restaurant is known to give you small portions. There are thousands of other good restaurnats so search and make your money worth. This restaurant food is not that good and full of msg. They have a break from 2:30pm to 4:30 and waitresses have below average attitude and service is not what you expect at the restaurant. Waitresses are very unfriendly and even the owner is unfriendly. Cleanliness is under normal expectations. Over priced for the quality and small portions for the price $80 paid. 배때기가 불러서 거지 근성으로 손님한테 바가지 씌우고 양을 아주 조금주고 얼마나 남겨쳐먹을라고 한심하다 too much msg 미원과 조미료 덩어리 국물

When you think of Garden Grove, you usually think of Vietnamese food or at least that what I do. I would have never thought to drive down to Garden Grove for some bomb Korean food, let alone 매운 갈비찜 (Spicy Braised Beef Ribs). Yigah does their signature dish particularly special and different from other restaurants that specializes in this dish, especially the ones in K-town. My friend and I ordered their regular spicy with cheese and rice cake and it was hands down the best braised beef ribs I've had in SoCal. The meat literally falls off the bone when you pick at it and we both let it marinate some more in the sauce once we took the bones out. The sauce was addicting and we devoured it with the rice we had on the side. When the servers bring in out, you get to watch a little fire show that they demonstrate with their force to melt the cheese and that's always a sight to watch. As for the bossam, the meat was nice and tender and I liked how it was kept warm by a candle on the bottom of the metal dish they used. However, since both my friend and I focused on the braised beef ribs, we neglected the bossam the entire time and didn't each much of it. Overall, we did enjoy our meal here, in particular the spicy braised beef ribs and would come here again. Definitely come check out Yigah if you're in the area or you want to try out a new Korean restaurant in the OC!

Google
Discovered a super yum Korean food restaurant in town, follow me! Highlights of the menu: 1. BBQ Short ribs 2. Bibimbap Their ribs are extremely tender and fall off the bone. The sauce is slightly sweet and savory, soo good! Quick service, casual ambiance.

Google
The GG area's hidden gem. I'd heard about this restaurant for a long time but hadn't had the chance to try it until a friend invited me. Surprisingly, this place exceeded my expectations, so I brought my husband here for the second time, and he enjoys it as well. All the food tasted delicious l, the servers were nice and friendly, and the decor is simple but elegant in Korean style. We will definitely return.

Google
I had a great time at Yigah with my family. The place is spacious and comfortable, and the service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and generous, especially the family size portions. We ordered the seafood pancake and the beef bulgogi. Everything was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavors. The seafood pancake was crispy and loaded with shrimp and squid, and the beef bulgogi was sweet and savory. We also enjoyed the complimentary side dishes, such as the radish kimchi, the bean sprouts, and the seaweed salad. To top it off, we had some drinks as well. They have a good selection of beers, wines, and soju cocktails. I recommend the bekseju, it was smooth and herbal. Yigah is a good place for a family dinner, or any occasion really. I will definitely come back again.

Google
I got their Sulleongtang and their Octopus bibimbap. 1. Their soup was so bland, I make bone broth at home, and this tasted like they mixed a bunch of water, so that the broth is diluted and tasteless. Also the brisket was the toughest brisket I've had in a sulleongtang. 2. The bibimbap sauce tasted sour instead of sweet and spicy. Didn't taste good or authentic, would not recommend.

Yelp
This place gives you such a homey feel of a warm cooked meal. Order the bossam for 2 people + a soup per person was probably too much but it was an amazing meal regardless! Food comes out pretty quickly so you're not waiting too long for your food!

Yelp
There was no wait time when we got here on a Thursday at 8pm. I've had Bossam before and this place met expectations except the pork belly was still a little cold. They put a tiny candle light under to "warm" it up, but I think it was more for decoration. The Spicy Braised Ribs were delicious with the cheese and fish cake. I would come back to try different menu items as their menu was substantial.

Yelp
Yigah serves exceptional Korean soul food that leaves a lasting impression. We walked away feeling completely satisfied and couldn't stop talking about the dishes on our way home. Fortunately, we arrived right at their weekend opening, so seating was readily available. By the time we finished, a line had already started to form. What We Ordered: BOSSAM (Boiled Pork Belly with Napa Cabbage and Spicy Radish)This was hands down the BEST Bossam I've had in Orange County. The dish was perfectly balanced, with tender, pillowy pork belly complemented by the crisp texture of the cabbage. The sweet and spicy radish added just the right kick, creating a combination that was nothing short of amazing. SEOLLEONGTANG MIXED (Ox Tail Soup with Brisket, Flank, Intestine, and Tripe)This hearty ox tail soup was rich with deep, beefy flavor and pure comfort in a bowl. I enjoyed mixing rice into the steaming broth and pairing it with kimchi or spicy radish for an added punch of salt and acidity. Each bite was a flavorful and satisfying experience. Would I Return? YES and would love to try more of their specialties, especially the Spicy Galbi Jjim.

Yelp
Yigah is a traditional Korean restaurant in a good sized space. It has its own parking lot and it is generally easy to find a spot. Came here with family on a weekend for dinner. It was busy but we had a reservation and we're seated upon arrival. We ordered a small Bossam, Galbitang, and Korean Seafood Pancake. Banchan came out with the first dish which was the Korean Seafood Pancake. It was a good portion. The edges were crispy while the middle was fluffy and soft. We all enjoyed the seafood pancake. The Galbitang is a comfort food dish great for cold nights. The Bossam was solid. It came with 13 pieces and when the pork is eaten with all the other items, that makes for a tasty bite. Overall, giving Yigah a 4/5. Food and ambiance are good. Service is okay. Would recommend to anyone looking for good Korean food.

Yelp
We got the $139 special, and it's such value. It comes with the galbi jjim, seafood pancake, and 2 extra dishes of your choice. We had 7 people, so we didn't think it would be enough to feed us all, so we ordered: $139 special with: Galbi jjim with cheese and tteboki Seafood pancake Bibimbap Galbitang And we ordered a Seafood bibimbap and two other soup dishes as well since we weren't sure how much the special would feed, but we think we would have been good with just the special since they really don't skimp out on the portions. Our favorites were the seafood pancake, galbijjim, seafood bibimbap and the galbitang! Would definitely order those again as well as the special! We think it would be a good amount for roughly 6ppl (maybe 7 if there are folks who don't eat as much as others) but you can always order more later if there's not enough food too

Yelp
Great easy, convenient place for traditional Korean food, especially soups. First time I came here was years ago, recommended to me by several of my Korean friends. Large & clean interior, good banchan, huge portions. We got the Yukgaejang (beef & leek soup) & the Bibim Guksu (cold noodle salad). Although delicious, I will say they do not include as much protein or toppings in either dish as other Korean restaurants do; the soup was mostly broth. So nothing too spectacular but will definitely satisfy your Korean food cravings. We were very full after our meal & would come back if we were in the area looking for something convenient & relatively healthy to eat :)

Yelp
This place is real Korean flavor, has many different choices The food was delicious and the portions were large! I recommend trying the bibimbap and the bulgogi bibimbap. The beef bulgogi was phenomenal and my favorite plate. The kimchi side was also fantastic and had the perfect amount of spice. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Service could be a tad better as there were limited staff who were walking extremely fast so it was hard to flag them down. They open everyday of the week which is so nice. They close at 8:30pm on Tues and Wed .They close at 9:30pm on Thurs!! Their location is perfect because there's a huge parking lot next to the restaurant so you don't have to do street parking. Definitely come check out Yigah if you're in the area or you want to try out a Korean restaurant in the OC!

Yelp
The Korean food here was pretty good, but I've definitely have had better. The bossam was definitely the star of the show here, the pork belly didn't have a very heavy fatty taste, and the vegetables that comes along with it just make it an absolute wonder to eat together with nice flavors! The servers were absolutely so nice to us, bringing out some gochujang for the bibimbap for a bit saltier and spicier taste. The kimchi snack chips were a noce addition at the end too. The outside of the restaurant is definitely misleading, this place looks so nice and well lit and modern on the inside it's a complete 180

Yelp
To-go'd some Bibimbap and enjoyed it so much! I love how visually appealing it is too with the different types of veggies. It paired really well with the pickled radish as well (10/10). Best part is I got two meals out of it! Their portions are pretty big, so I would recommend sharing and trying all their tasty dishes! The ajumeoni that answered the phone was really sweet too! Everything took about ~15 minutes.. or less- I had to drive a bit to get there. Food still tasted really good after the drive home, so that's a win for me!

Yelp
Food was tasty here and portions are generous. Came on a Sunday evening with a group of 3 and there was a short wait. We ordered large bossam, ox-bone beef tongue soup, and bulgolgi chulpan bibimbap. Our table was large enough to fit everything. All of our dishes were delicious. Purple rice and banchan to go with it. We had plenty of leftovers too. Service was nice and attentive. The ladies came around a few times to make sure we were okay and kept our waters filled. Parking: they have their own parking lot with a good amount of spots. We'll definitely come back and try the braised beef ribs with a larger group.

Yelp
There is an element from Korean food that always feels so comforting and fulfilling. That is exactly what I felt with this meal. Went on a Friday night around 8pm and our party of 5 was sat immediately. We got: Galbi Jim with cheese- i recommend adding cheese for sure! You get to see them torch it in front of you and it elevates the flavors! comes with some potatoes and it is the best combination of savory and sweet! Spicy cold noodles- the portion was massive! Came with lots of veggies and it was so refreshing to pair with galbi him which can be on the heavier side Small bossam- this was really good bossam! The meat was well cooked and not chewy and I love the assortment they give you to make your own wraps 2 bottles of soju- it was a Friday night and paired well with the galbi Jim (: This place has been on my list forever and I'm so glad I was finally able to try it out! Like most Korean restaurants, they were really nice about refilling banchan.

Yelp
Yigah is my go to place whenever I'm craving Korean food in the area. I've been here multiple times and I've been consistently satisfied by the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff here. I've tried a few things, but these are the two things I would always order: Bossam (small for $25) Good to share between 2 to 3 people. I've had bossam at other restaurants, but this place serves it traditionally with the salted napa cabbage, which balances out the rich flavor of the pork. The boiled pork slices are so tender and when wrapped in the salted napa cabbage with the radish salad, garlic slices, salted shrimp and ssamjang, it makes such a refreshing bite that's sweet and savory with a slight kick all in one! Seafood Pancake ($25) Huge and thick pancake that's loaded with seafood! What makes the one at this restaurant unique is the crust. It has a layer of shredded breading (maybe potato?) that is super crispy and adds a satisfying crunch to every bite. It's super filling and makes great leftovers! Shout out to the main lady who runs the front of the house. She is so hospitable and always goes out of her way to make our experience memorable. At the end of our last meal here, she gave us complimentary mango slush which was sweet and refreshing - the perfect palette cleanser. I would come back here again and again. There is a decent sized parking lot and the interior is spacious with plenty of booth seating. If you haven't tried this place, what are you waiting for!?

Yelp
It was busy on New Year's for dinner. I got the dukk mandoo guk (rice cake and dumpling soup). The dumplings tasted like someone made them, and the filling was plentiful and delicious. The portion was hearty. The only thing that would prevent me from getting this again was that I was drinking a lot of water when I got home. I think it had a lot of msg in it, unfortunately. The side dishes included different kinds of kimchi, fish cake, and potato salad. I loved their potato salad compared to BCD's (which always tastes not fresh). I have tried their other soups and bibimbaps, and it's a good place for Korean food, overall. Service is a 4/5; I think they need more workers. Ambiance is okay. I think it would be fun to come with several people and get the $139 special. This Garden Grove location is significantly bigger than the Irvine location.

Yelp
Carryout Experience 1. The portions are generous! I really like the breading of the tonkatsu! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! 3. There are plenty of indoor seatings! 4. The staff were friendly and honest about the pickup time! It took about 25 mins! 5. Parking lot is medium size but it's not crowded! Note: The food pickup is in the middle of the restaurant! Yelp
Came here on Saturday night around 8pm wasn't busy but service was slow. Ordered galbi and one of sullungtang. Galbi was sooooo salty had to order extra rice. Sullungtang was not bad. It's pretty cute and big and clean place but the food needs work on more. Also side dishes were just ok and variety wasn't that good

Yelp
Yigah In Garden Grove offers some of the best Korean Food in the area. We got the family meal combo and the food options did not disappoint. Yigah serves each dish as a family style meant for at least 2 people each, which means big and well worth portions. Each dish was tasty and had its own distinctive savory flavor. The service was good and restaurant was kept very clean.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Caution, the portions are HUGE so don't order with your stomach. We came for mother's day, and was sat immediately. It was nice they had large tables to accomodate bigger sized parties. We ordered the spicy braised beef ribs combo - it comes with seafood pancake and your choice of 2 rice or noodle dishes. For our 2 dishes, we ordered the yukgaejang ramen and the bulgogi bibimbap. The yukgaejang was SO salty - like incredibly salty to the point it was hard to eat. We felt bad to complain since we had already portioned out the dish into smaller bowls to share. Not sure if it was just a one-time bad dish but maybe i'd order the katsu or something. Bibimbap was good! I just like the regular one with veggies more. This one was more like rice on a skillet instead of the hot stone pot. We also ordered bossam - we thought we ordered too much food but actually, this one hit the spot! It was super yummy. Overall, great experience and I'd love to come back another time!
google avatar

Yelp
We came here for dinner on a Thursday evening about 2 hours before closing. The restaurant only had two other parties dining at that time. We ordered the bossam (small), bulgogi, and braised beef short ribs for a party of 4. The bossam was probably one of my favorite dishes. I wish the cabbage leaves were a little bigger to better wrap the pork belly, but this dish was packed with flavor. This was my first time having bossam and I liked how the pork belly doesn't taste overwhelmingly fatty like other dishes. The bulgogi was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary. They are known for their braised short ribs. While pricey, it is a great dish to share with the table. There is a lot of meat and we ended up packing leftovers. The menu states that this dish comes with complimentary fried rice, but unfortunately when we followed up with our waitress she said that the kitchen was closed and they were unable to provide the fried rice for us. The portions are very shareable and the food is solid. It was partly our fault for coming towards the end of the day, but I felt like we were being rushes to finish our meal so it took a little bit out of the experience of this meal.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and ordered the large bossam, galbi tang, and bibimbap. Serving sizes were huge and the food was bomb, we split it between four people and we were stuffed. Kimchi sides were good and service was solid. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Yigah is the perfect family style Korean restaurant! Portions here are huge and maintain the flavor to back them up. The Large Bossam can feed a whole family of 5! Good amount of pork served with all the fixings to make a wrap with either the lettuce or pickled radish. 5/5 The Korean Seafood Pancake comes out on a sizzling plate so you know that it's hot. Filled with so many different seafood, this crispy pancake is another good sharing item. 5/5 The Cold Noodle here also is a must try. The broth comes out icy so that it will keep the dish cold as you eat. The flavor is almost refreshing with the chewy noodles. Make sure to add plenty of hot mustard and vinegar to enhance it even more. 5/5 The Short Rib soup or Galbitang was nice and clean. Big pieces of short rib paired with a flavorful beef broth made for a very enjoyable soup dish. 4/5 The Rice Cake and Ramen looked to be a new dish so decided to give it a try. Very flavorful and spicy broth made all the items in this dish pop. Comes with egg, ramen noodles, rice cakes, and fish cakes. 4/5 Overall, would definitely recommended this place for some authentic Korean food!
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
Our family of 5 ordered the Spicy Braised Rib combo. It comes with a fat hamul jeon (seafood pancake) loaded with octopus and squid, and fried crispy on the edges, a large dish with huge ribs (I couldn't even finish one by myself. Had to share. It comes with 4 or 5 bones, carrots, sweet potato), and 2 soups ( or noodle or other dish if you prefer.) We got a galbi tang (short rib soup) and mandu ttuk guk (dumpling and rice cake soup. Everytjing was very tasty. Kids loved it. We were very full. Service was good. Maybe someday we will come back without the kids so we can get the spicy braised short ribs spicy and topped with cheese, because it looks good.

Yelp
I am sad this place closed permanently. I like the food very much. Hope they reopen at some other location.

Yelp
Food was excellent. The portions are huge and easy to share with a large party. This place gives off home made comforting food. Service was great, they refilled out sides whenever asked.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here with a group of 7 on a Friday night for an early dinner. There was no line and we got seated right away. We got the special combo and a large bossam. The portion was super generous and we had leftover to pack home.

Yelp
Craving Korean food, especially comfort food. Yigah hits the spot! We came to Yigah on a Sunday evening, there was a full house but we didn't have to wait in line. Ordered the Large bossam and bibimbap (hot stone bowl) and a Galbi tang not pictured. Bossam was flavorful as you wrap the pork with the sides and Napa cabbage. We order the hot stone bowl Bibimbap because the stone creates a crust on the rice as you let it rest. You can adjust the spiciness as they leave you with bottles of sauce. The Galbi tang was spicy with a good kick. This place was one of the cleanest Korean restaurants with a modern interior design. Definitely a home run for an authentic Korean food!
google avatar

Maria D.

Yelp
We got the combo for $139. Placed our order but later the waitress returned to let us know the fryer was down so it was a bit of a bummer bc we were already a few dishes into our meal. But we swapped it out for a soup that was simple an delicious but not what we intended to get so a bit of a bummer . Next time we'll get to try it hopefully. The ribs were definitely the star of the show hearty and delicious. Easy to take off the bone . The place was big and clean so accommodating for big groups
google avatar

Theresa Huong D.

Yelp
Let's just say...huge portions, huge restaurant, a great choice for large parties. Came with 8 adults and 5 kiddos. We got the special combo which came with a lot of food + 2 large bossam plates. It was more than enough for all of us. I would have to say our favorites were the seafood pancake, spicy cold noodles and bossam. Definitely would come back to try the soup and other dishes. I loved how easy it was to make a last min reservation for large party on a Saturday. It worked well for us. The food was delicious too. Service was also great. I would definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Great restaurant for a homemade kind of meal. It's very clean inside and feels very new. The restaurant is quite spacious and has 2 areas for seating. Parking is easy. I ordered the short rib with rice cake and purple rice. The meat was cooked perfectly. Super tender and flavorful with potato and carrot. Service is ok-/ Taking off one star because I think the price is steep and the banchan aren't that great. It's about $100 for this entree (4 short rib bones). There are additional add ons available (cheese, rice cake, etc). I really like the purple rice here. It paired nicely with the meat.
google avatar

Catherine T.

Yelp
-korean seafood pancake (3/5) - this was sooo much bigger than i expected, i think it can feed 2-3 people lol. i wish it was a bit more flavorful and crispier, only the top was crispy but the bottom was still a little soggy -gamjitang (5/5) - comes out hot and was delicious, it comes with rice and there are also some clear noodles in the soup. while food was pretty good, i experienced so many flies landing on all my banchan plates while i was eating. everytime i swatted some away they'd just come back. it was pretty gross and i lost some of my appetite as i just wanted to box up my food and get out of there as soon possible.

Yelp
Spacious restaurant with plenty of parking. Prices are fair. We ordered Japanese Katsu Chicken; it was a huge portion, light, crisp and very tasty served with cabbage and thousand island. I would definitely order it again. My 12 year old loved it. Also, I ordered their Beef rib soup with clear noodles, it tasted very bland and no seasoning it seemed. I was somewhat disappointed. Cost for Katsu Chicken at lunchtime was $19 and Beef Rib soup was $21 with the total at $42.50 for 2 dishes. Tip was $7 at 20% The banchan at this place was the typical, with 5 side dishes composed of radish, Kimchi, fish cakes and 2 I can't remember this moment. Service was efficient, the waitress came around and checked each table. Although, we dropped a utensil and they didn't seem to notice, therefore make sure you flag them to tell them you need a new one. Overall, good place for lunch or dinner. Children and families were there at lunch. Definitely family friendly.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
Been here many times and it never disappoints. The beef soups are delicious as well as the soon tofu soups. Everything tastes like it's been made from scratch using high quality ingredients. Even the ban chan are delicious. The ladies working there are friendly and efficient. Spacious parking lot.

Yelp
Yigah really satisfied a Daeho Galbijjim shaped hole in my bfs heart. Since we don't live in SF, we had been on the search for a really good galbijjim. Luckily, yigah had it and it was really delicious. Upon arriving, we didn't have to wait to be seated. Two adorable waitresses helped us right away, and we had our food within 30min. They were so funny because when they asked for a spice level and my bf said "spicy" they asked "stressed?" LOL. The answer was "yes." Luckily, it wasn't too busy at the time we went, but it was good we went when we did because it got busy as soon as 6PM hit. While it was way too much for 2 people, it was so enjoyable, and it lasted us a good two more days. The galbijjim was spicy, cheesy, and sweet all at once. I think this was a great meal that can be shared with friends, so definitely give it a try. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Yelp
Beef ribs here!!! The meat was literally melting off the bone. We did a platter which comes with your pick of sides. We did one spicy one no with no spice. Both were good spice level was a bit too much for me (I don't do too much spice) but blended it was perfect. We ordered and it took a bit but they torch the cheese table side which is fun. The servers were great and the noise level was low which allowed our group to converse.

Yelp
Very large restaurant. Came on a Thursday with my husband father in law and 2 kids. The waitress was very accommodating and kind. I ordered the beef bibimbap (comes with shredded beef instead of bulgogi) overall lots of flavor in the bowl. Loved the assortment of vegetables in there too! We ordered the fried dumplings for the babies which in my opinion are a bit overpriced for 6 pieces. A bit oily as well, probably won't order those again but we will definitely be back here!

Yelp
Yigah is the OG Korean restaurant in Garden Grove known for its delicious, authentic, comfort Korean dishes. Their menu has a variety of options such as braised short ribs, galbi, and bossam for all you meat lovers, bibimbap, seafood pancake, cold noodles, and different ox bone soup and noodles. Here's what we ordered: 1a. Braised Beef Ribs - This dish is definitely the star of the show! It has an impressive presentation with the torch fire melting that cheesy goodness. The beef ribs were extremely tender and full of flavor. You can also add rice cakes to the dish, which soaked in their savory sauce and was so yummy! We really enjoyed this one. 1b. Fried Rice - This fried rice dish is part of the Braised Beef Ribs dish. After you finish the beef bones, they will make fried rice with the leftover food and sauce and it's so good! This dish alone is massive and such a good deal (2 for 1 meal). 2. Seokuh Seolleongtang - This ox bone broth with brisket, flank, beef tongue, tendons, intestine, tripe, and clear noodles was absolutely delicious!! It was hearty and so tasty. Everything in it was tender and complimentary to the bone broth. Such a comfort food. I could slurp this all night! Must order!!! 3. LA Galbi - This is a new menu item. The LA Galbi comes out on a sizzling platter serving the beef bone-in with sautéed onions. Although good but not amazing, this dish was our least favorite out of all the ones we ordered. All the dishes are generous portions, so it's definitely meant for sharing. Service is good and parking is easy. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Large parking lot and the waiting area is inviting, the restaurant is big, 4x bigger than the Irvine location. We came before the dinner crowd arrived and they had numerous tables open but still had to wait 10-15 minutes to get seated. Our table was not properly set up even upon getting seated. We ordered Galbi tang and seafood pancake. Various banchan was placed on our table and as well as the Galbi tang. We were ready to eat but they still haven't given us any utensils. So we had to ask them for it. That right there just showed the lack of service. The Galbi tang was not hot enough. I think it's been sitting out before it was delivered to our table. The seafood pancake was tasty and big portion. I'm not sure if they refill banchan because ours was never refilled. One of the stalls in the women's restroom had a big crack in the middle of the stall, as if it was Jackhammered and they put a caution sign on it because the tiles were completely shattered. The food was just alright, the service was lackluster and the condition of the facility was deteriorating.

Yelp
Yigah does not miss when it comes to Korean food! Perfect for catching up with friends, having a nice dinner date, or celebrating with large groups! This most recent visit I was able to call in to make a reservation same day for a party of 10. When we got there they already had the table set up. Food portions are huge and you can share an order with 2 people. My favorite thing to do is ordering the Yigah Combo - currently at $139. Personally feel that it is sooo worth it. It can feed 4-6 people in my experience. If you are small appetite individuals, it can feed to 6 and feed up to 4 comfortably. It comes with a large seafood pancake and galbijim and 2 orders of noodles, signature, or bibimbap! Bossam is really good time. I recommend ordering the yigah combo and adding on if you feel its not enough food. Unless you dont mind all the leftovers!

Yelp
Came to Yigah in a party of 7, and we were seated after a short wait between two booth tables that were behind adjacent to eachother. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered a bunch of food to share family style. The waiters seemed a little inpatient with us, but we did arrive around 8pm so they might've been tired or ready to go home soon. It's a large spacious restaurant with plenty of large tables that help accomodate the very generous portions. -Bossam (Small, $25): we got the small and I'm glad because with everything else we ordered this was much more than we were expecting even split between our table of 4 people. Super filling our only want was for a bit more napa cabbage and maybe more pickles to balance the large amount of meat we got. -Korean Seafood Pancake ($25): this was sooooo thiccccccccck and filling. It seemed expensive but was honestly so much food and each piece was full of seafood and veggies. Came with a nice savory sweet dipping sauce. -Mul Nangmyeon ($17): Super refreshing and just what we needed to balance out all the other rich and delicious food! Mustard provided in a bottle on the side for you to season yourself :) Overall, Yigah was delicious and deefinitely worth it. Come here to share great food with your friends!

Yelp
came here with a reservation for a party of 10 for my sister's graduation dinner & this was the perfect choice! there's definitely something for everyone here, and a great crowd pleaser. even my dad & grandpa, who only really eat Vietnamese food, enjoyed the food and flavors here. i'd give everything we ordered a 5/5 (galbjim, assorted soups, katsu, bibimbaps, seafood pancake), save for the pork stew, which was a 2/5 unanimously. galbijim was a bit lacking in the meat, however, given its price point. overall, delicious, and great for a large party of all ages!

Yelp
Food is always so yummy and fresh here. They make great bossam. There can be a wait bc it looks like they are short staffed but are very friendly. I would come back.

Yelp
5:30pm on a Saturday night, and they weren't too busy yet, so we were seated right away. Our server was nice and the staff was variably responsive (it was a little difficult to get the dude's attention, but everyone else there was super attentive). The restaurant had a nice ambiance and made for a nice family dinner. The food was great~ we ordered the Yigah Special Combo which was perfect for 6 adults. It came with the spicy beef ribs, seafood pancake, and your choice of two additional dishes. Spicy beef ribs with cheese: mild spicy still had a nice kick. They give you scissors so you can cut the meat off the ribs. We still had a lot left over when we were finished. Seafood pancake: so crispy and flavorful. Loved the sauce! Didn't taste fishy. A+. Bulgogi bibimbap: I've never had a bibimbap like this. It was like a stir fry with a sweet sauce and veggies. Enjoyable and made for good leftovers the next day. Galbi tang: LOVED this. One of my favorite comfort soups. Noodles, beef, amazing broth. I could have eaten the whole thing. We also got some sides of rice for the table. Overall, a good experience. I'd come back.

Yelp
Stopped by on the way to our hotel after landing and wow it was definitely amazing. Got in at around 8pm and it was busy but there were still some tables so we got seated right away. Bossam 5/5 - ordered small size, but they gave a solid amount of pork belly. Tender, juicy and flavorful. It seemed like they used a dried radish for their radish kimchi as other places I had this at had more fresh radish kimchi. I loved it for the texture it provided. Seollontang 5/5 - for $19 we got brisket, a rib, tripe, intestines, and tendon. Super flavorful broth and they gave a jar of sea salt for us to season if more salt is preferred. The amount of protein given in here is double even triple of what I'd get in the bay area for the price. Definitely worth ordering.

Yelp
Galbi jjim is one of my top favorite foods and the one here did not disappoint. You can adjust the spice level of the braised beef ribs and even add cheese which is exactly what we did. They torch it for you and it gets all nice and melted in the delicious pool of rich, umami-filled sauce. The portion size is huge and it could easily feed 3-4 people. The ribs were succulent and tender and the veggies absorbed all of the delicious flavoring. The only unfortunate part was that the rice cakes got cooked for too long so they were all soggy and limp. I brought my parents here so they tried that for the first time along with bossam. The plate came with boiled pork belly, napa cabbage, spicy radish, garlic, jalapeños, and radish paper. This dish was essentially a palette cleanser because it was so light and refreshing compared to the hot and spicy dish right next to it. It takes a little while for the food to come out because it seems as if they're understaffed but it was worth the wait. The waitresses were kind and kept us updated which we appreciated. From our seats, we could see a line forming at the front entrance so this is definitely a popular destination for many, especially on a Saturday night.

Yelp
Dined here on a spur of the moment, and it was a good choice. The portions are pretty big and definitely shareable, even the tofu soup. There's a a good variety of options off their menu. The only issue I would have is the wait time, even when there were a lot of open tables and very clear areas, as well as the service time. We waited a long time to get just a simple refill of our water. Other than that, if you want to get some good Korean food, this place is a good option.

Yelp
The soup here is amazing! Yigah specializes in Korean soups and other comfort dishes and they do not disappoint. I've come here several times and the food has always been delicious and the service here has been friendly and quick. They offer your typical banchan and a menu filled with options ranging from soups to bibimbap and dishes like seafood pancakes. This time around, I stopped by for a late lunch with a friend and I ordered the Yukgaejang which is a spicy beef soup with meat and veggies! The bowl was fairly large with a good amount of meat inside and toppings in the bowl. The beef was tender, soup had a good kick of heat, and it was very tasty. Parking is ample here and shouldn't be an issue. It can get busy during the weekends and dinner time as it's a popular spot in the area. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Came here since my friend and I were craving some homemade kalbi jjim. It's quite expensive but I never tried it here and I'm sure glad I did. Man oh man was it delicious! Kalbi jjim (Korean for braised beef short ribs) is pricey literally everywhere nowadays so be prepared to spend a pretty penny to eat this, but it's enough food for 4 people (or 4 meals) so I'd say it's worth it when you feel like treating yourself (cue the Treat Yoself scene from Parks n Rec). It comes with little rice cakes, carrots, potatoes, onions & green onions, and most importantly, fall-off-the-bone tender short rib meat all doused in a savory sweet & spicy sauce. My mouth waters just thinking about it... The waitresses were super friendly and attentive and it didn't take long for the food to come out. I actually like this location much better than the one at Diamond Jamboree in Irvine now that I think about it.
