Best egg rolls in the city! I have tried many items on the menu and everything is always delicious. I tend to stick to my usual, an egg roll, fried wontons, and wor sue gai Hong Kong style!

Their food is the best in town. House fried rice wonderful, all good though. Egg rolls are the best. All other Chinese restaurants are compared to them. No one in town compares. The northend thanks you!

As I walked into Yin Yue Restaurant, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over me. I'd been coming to this beloved local establishment for 21 years, and it never failed to impress. I'd recommended it to countless friends and family members, and they all shared my enthusiasm. My go-to order was always the Pepper Steak with White Rice and Egg Rolls. But what truly set Yin Yue's pepper steak apart was the unexpected addition of tomatoes. I'd never had it that way before, but now I couldn't imagine it without them. The freshness of the peppers, onions, and tomatoes created a crispy and chewy texture that made other pepper steaks seem dull in comparison. The service was always "on the ball!" The staff were efficient and friendly, and I was always impressed by how quickly my food arrived. I timed it once – my egg rolls arrived just 2 minutes after I ordered, and my entrée followed 3 minutes later. The sounds of the staff taking orders and communicating with the kitchen were "quite amusing" and added to the relaxed atmosphere. I was always pleased with the generous portion sizes, which made me feel like I was getting great value for my money. And despite being a loyal customer for over two decades, I couldn't think of a single area for improvement. Yin Yue Restaurant was a true gem, a "mom and pop shop" that consistently delivered exceptional food and service. As I savored my delicious pepper steak and sipped on a cold Pepsi, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this little slice of culinary heaven. If you haven't tried Yin Yue Restaurant yet, do yourself a favor and go. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

This place has changed ownership so the food is as good as it once was. They used to have the best egg rolls in town. Not anymore. The service isn't the best it's take out service. The old owners remembered you the new ones won't. The dining area is as clean as it once was. So I think most go and take out. They will charge you for everything. If you want an extra dipping sauce you will be charged.

This place has been around for years. I came here as a child with my mom and to this day the wor Sue gai recipe and flavor has never changed one of the best. Great staff good price and stayed in the neighborhood!

So as I walk in, you could tell the Asian lady he was talking crap in Chinese to her husband about me for no reason I was really just polite. OK I ordered the house lo mein which is really oily. Didn’t really have any special flavor. They did not even give me a spoon or duck sauce which again you know cheap Asian places, which is pretty sad that the food and service wasn’t good because it looked like a cool place from the outside.

This would be my second time trying the Chinese food here, the first time I don't think the restaurant was having a bad day, however I just wanted to give them another chance, (the egg rolls are amazing) yesterday I stopped in for lunch and let me say how wonderful the food was!! The egg rolls were amazing, and the sweet and sour chicken, yummy! I ordered the white rice this time to be safe but oh my hot and fresh everything was, nice job, keep it up.

I Haven’t eaten here in over 15 years the shrimp egg rolls still taste the same packed full of cabbage and shrimp ! That was a present surprise as I had completely forgotten how they taste. There should be more reviews! Everything was fresh and hot, and packaged very well . All of the food containers were completely full to the very top . The sauce was thick on the sesame and orange chicken, and the shrimp fried rice was FULL OF shrimp they are not stingy and you get your money’s worth. I will Definitely be coming back

Apparently this establishment located on Hudson, has been around for 43years! There's parking in the back. There's seating inside and prices very reasonable and what I ordered was delicious. I wouldn't go there if it's dark out but lunch would be safe.

Best egg rolls in Columbus. Service is fast paced Ambiance is NYC take out. Meaning is not a place to go and dine in for romance.

I'm no expert on Chinese food, but everything we have had here tasted good and we have had good service from this family operated business. Location isn't near us and we don't go by it often. Tried it because friends knew about it. Small dining room on East Hudson, will stop in again on occasion, We had chicken dishes and the chicken was good, very tasty sauces. Worth a look if you are nearby. Plenty of parking.

Ordered Sweet and Sour chicken. Bit into a very sharp staple that was straight and very sharp. It was the worse pain ever blood poured out my mouth it went deep in my top gum between my teeth. My mouth bleed for over 15 minutes. Called that night felt they could have cared less. Went to store next day owner seemed like he did not care at all replace my meal with a small lunch meal. I have contacted board of health.

Had a meeting in the area and heard this place was good and a mom and pop chinese spot. I had great expectations but sadly this place fell very short. Im an avid american chinese food connoisseur and i always stay in the same lane (sweet and sour). First let me say the egg roll was good but nothing else had any taste. Fried rice had nothing in it and taste like air. Sweet and sour shrimp (old faithful) was tasteless, included no vegetables and the sauce taste like pancake syrup. The server came to the table and asked how everything was but she really did not want to know. I told her how i felt and she told me I shouldn't order sweet and sour. I know full well what sweet sour is supposed to taste like but I guess they we're more interested in me paying even though I did not eat the food. She then proceeded to bring me a box and tell me to give it to someone. I wouldn't give that food to anyone. Dont worry i will pay for what you cooked and I did not eat. Waste of money, no customer service and im sure thats based on location. Sad Please do not waste your time.

old customer of at least 20 yrs . I got such a horrible dinner from them tonight I actually called them . The chicken wasn't chewable .Tough and Rubbery . The egg roll reeked old grease . It was just nasty . I won't be back .

I have been eating here since 1985. When Gerald and Sussie ran the restraint the food was some of the best in Columbus. Later his son Gary and his wife took over the business and the food was still awesome along with the staff being always friendly. You could count on a good friendly welcome and always asked about how life was in general. Today was the 1st time I had been able to stop in since 2019. The food was ok back then but today not good at all. I got the wor su gai and it was dry, way over cooked, tough, and super salty. The fried rice was bland. Not sure if I'll go back as I want to try to remember Yin Yue as it was not what it is today.

I'm visit from out of state, family recommended this restaurant for Chinese food. Upon arrival the place was dimly lit, with moderate seating for dining in. There were no patrons there when I walked in, just a man and woman working the front who came across as very rude, no one greeted me when I walked in and after the woman hung up the phone I said hello to which she ignored, then the man hung up the phone and acted like I'd offended him in some way and ask what I wanted, not "how can I help you" then when I said I was there to pick up a mobile order and gave him my name he reached behind the counter to hand me my food... neither of them were professional enough to say " Thanks, enjoy your evening or any kind of acknowledgment." The food was decent, and I would've have come back to them for second chance, but given their lack of appreciation, they will not get another cent of my money.

Chinese restaurant located off Hudson in what some may call "the hood". It's been a round for a long time. My son and I came in around 5pm. No one was in the restaurant so we were seated quick. I typically judge restaurant based on their egg drop soup - their egg drop was horrible. We ordered the chicken wings. They come plain unless you ask for spicy in which they spice them up with onions and peppers. These were good and they were very large. We ordered chicken fried rice. My son didn't like the onions and the waitress noticed he wasn't eating and she was very nice to make him another bowl with no onions. Not bad Chinese but not amazing. 3 star for good customer service .

I really like Yin Yue for what they are Americanized Chinese food. But so far everything that I've ordered from them has been tasty, the egg rolls are great, the wonton soup is also really good. They also make my favorite dish for me even though its not on the menu, BBQ Pork with Beansprouts, its light and filled with beansprouts. Sure this location is in the semi ghetto but its not that bad. Plus, everyone who works there is super nice, they remember you when you return and the food comes out fast.

Yin Yue isn't gonna knock your socks off with presentation. And they're not trying to. This is mainly a pickup/to-go restaurant. Not flashy at all. The menu is fairly standard Chinese. Nothing is gonna "wow" you. With that said, they have the best egg rolls in Columbus. No matter if you order $5 or $200 worth of food, it's always ready in 10 minutes. That's pretty awesome. Yin Yue has been around for a long time. Great prices and great parking. Although it has a few table, it's not really a dine in establishment.

The egg rolls are to die for! They don't skimp on the filling. You can order the wor sue gai with gravy on the side. I was there for lunch and asked if the portion was smaller and I was told it was the same as dinner. Easily shareable as it was two large chicken breasts. If you're a regular they will get to know you by name. There is parking in the back and on the side of the restaurant. The paintings on the wall are by the father/father-in-law of the current owners who founded the restaurant with his wife.

So I've been hounding my fiancé to take me here for years & today he finally pulled through & we got carryout. I went off one of the reviews/pic of the war sue gai & my fiancé got the happy family. We both got egg rolls & I wanted to at least try the wonton soup (also based off reviews). I must say that I was definitely impressed. Loved how everything came in those containers, as most Chinese places now put everything in plastic to go containers or styrofoam. My favorite was the egg roll for sure. The chicken was sliced & crispy, the gravy was good, but I have to say I have had better, but this was up there. I definitely want to return & I'd like to try lo mein. I'm hoping to see some reviews on that if anyone has tried! Great service, ordered & food was ready in 10 minutes. Value $23 & we have an entire meal leftover!

Went there tonight worst food ever. Been going to this place before my kids was around. Since the old owners has left the food at the same. Egg rolls was little they use to be big and good now they are nasty not worth the money they are charging for that nasty food will never return again.

Dropped in since I passed by several times this week and finally had a chance. It's pretty divey, inside and out, and small inside. But nicely decorated, with some actual paintings. Service was super friendly, and efficient. I got my standard comparison items, crab Rangoon and Mongolian beef. There was a lot of crab in the Rangoons, and they had obviously just been made. The usual sauces are on the table, plus two hot sauces (one sriracha.) The Mongolian beef was pretty standard, nothing exceptional; still darn good. I accidentally undertipped and am kicking myself; guess I'll have to make up for it next time. Prices were very reasonable.

What?!?! A Chinese restaurant a leisurely 4 minute bike ride from my new house?!?! I discovered this yesterday and would have gone immediately, but I had the sense to call ahead and learned that they are, unfortunately, closed on Sundays. So today I skipped breakfast and allowed myself to get really hungry for lunch. I rode down Ontario and enjoyed the scenery. Linden might be a high crime area, but strolling through the streets reminds me of suburbia in the '50s. Quaint little houses with neat yards, birds are always chirping, etc. I pulled into the parking lot and found a sign where I could lock my bike. The lot was surprisingly full. I walked in and quickly realized why - a party of at least ten, maybe fifteen were taking up three to four tables to the right. There were three booths to the left, near the entrance to the restrooms, and some more booths around the corner from the large party. I looked over the menu briefly...standard layout: appetizers, beef, chicken, seafood, vegetarian specials, plus pad thai and other specialties. I chose an order of the crab rangoon, a good gauge for quality comparisons because it's offered at all Chinese restaurants, and the home style bean curd, with a request for it to be made spicy. I took a seat at a booth around the corner and started playing around on my phone while I waited for my food (forgot my book, darn it). There were only six booths back here. That totals 9 booths plus the 4 or so tables where the party sat. Each table had it's own squeeze bottle of sweet'n'sour sauce, spicy mustard, sriracha, soy and another mysterious red sauce that had a sweet taste, but was on the spicy side. First my drink came out, then my crab rangoon. Now, the crab rangoon was really interesting. There was way less cream cheese used than most places, making the crab stand out more than any crab rangoon I can think of right off. I don't know if this is a more traditional way to prepare it, or just personal preference of the owners, but I really, really liked it. I expect the crab was still imitation, but the whole texture and flavor of the app was changed by the cream cheese ratio. Very good indeed. Just $2 and change for an order of 4. Not long after, out came my bean curd. It was served with two scoops of white rice and was piping hot. There were onions, broccoli, carrots and celery aplenty, and the bean curd was somewhat disheveled, rather than the perfect little shapes I'm used to elsewhere. I could be wrong, but it felt more homemade. The sauce gave me the same impression. It was thinner than expected, and more flavorful. I ate every last bite. The staff was very friendly and courteous. They seemed genuinely happy to serve their patrons. There were a couple of kids working, but I think they were just there to help out mom and dad. They seemed to be enjoying themselves. After all those glowing comments, you might be asking, "well, Luke, why the three stars?" While this doesn't deter me at all, the cleanliness of the place leaves a little to be desired. The carpet straight up needs replaced. It's filthy. Red with a permanent black walkway worn into it. Better yet, refinish the wood underneath so you can mop instead of vacuuming. That's the ticket. The ceiling has portions where the wall doesn't meet the ceiling and there is exposed insulation. the walls have these sort of unique, semi-badly drawn paintings adorning it. They too are in desperate need of a wipe down. I don't get the impression that the restaurant is unsanitary, but I think they might be skipping out on a few of those really thorough cleanings restaurants are supposed to do at least twice a year. I will definitely be back, and I was impressed enough that Yin Yue will probably become a regular option for me. I look forward to trying their pad thai and egg foo young. Hours are 11 to 10 most days, but I think they open later and close earlier on Saturday.

A lot of people told me this was a really good spot. The food is tasteless I order #8 combo not good at all my boyfriend order chicken wings very tasteless. My first and last time going there. There wonton Mein is top ramen without the chicken flavoring package and wonton. So disappointed

I crave Yin Yue's egg rolls and my husband the Wor Su Gai. I loved that Wayne, who is no longer there, always remembered my name. I think that the food has changed a bit after his leaving but the eggrolls are still excellent and the food great. The prices did go up a little but they were dirt cheap before.

Great food until I got an egg roll and you could taste the metal scouring pad they used to clean the cutting board. I had a couple bites before I figured it wasn't just in my head. It also caused a muscle spasm on right side of waist that took 3 days to go away.

Maybe I caught them on a bad day but I stopped in one afternoon and grabbed an order of General Tso's Chicken and a Shrimp Fried Rice. I wasn't able to finish eating either of them. The General Tso's was eaten less than 10 minutes after they packed up my order but it was so soggy and oversauced that it lacked any semblance of having been crispy and fried. Not only that but the sauce was watery and bland. As for the fried rice, I didn't expect big cocktail shrimp but I also wasn't expecting those tiny pink salad shrimp that come in a can. It seemed like they hadn't been rinsed and so the entire dish just had this gross, canned-seafood-water taste that bordered on straight up dirty dish water. It made it really difficult to eat more than a few bites. I'm not one to throw out food and I've had plenty of mediocre General Tso's and Fried Rice before but this was a new low.

A friend told me about this restaurant and how it's been in that neighborhood for decades. I had to check it out. The neighborhood and restaurant seems a tad sketchy, but we wanted to have the full experience so we ate there. The parking lot was packed! There were quite a few people picking up carryout and the tables were mostly full. My friend ordered the general tso's and I had curry chicken and we both got a spring roll. The menu stated the curry chicken was made with potatoes. That was a new one for me so I had to try it. It was good, but I had to laugh when I saw the potatoes are actually crinkle cut french fries. Oh well, they didn't lie. Those are potatoes. I tasted my friend's dinner and was not impressed. He really wasn't either. It wasn't terrible, but not really very good. The good news was that they gave me so much of mine that we shared it. Overall I'd say it's worth trying, especially at lunch. The inside was a tad dirty so I went with 3 instead of 4 stars, but it may have just been the lunch rush.

I ordered chicken egg foo young. It was hard, had a bad burnt taste, the hot mustard -charged extra, was crusty in the small container and was clearly watered down. The rice was very small and also had a burnt taste. Terrible!! Hard, burnt chicken?? Watered down mustard and the gravy was not good at all. I dont comment much but this meal was horrible.

This is by far the best Chinese food in Columbus. I've tried several other places and none compare to this for taste portion size and price. Anyone who has grown up in the Linden area knows it's the best and still comes back to get their Chinese food at Yin Yues . Love the family that runs it they make you feel like family.

I stumbled on this place on my drive down Hudson Street. It had an interesting look about it and the parking lot was jammed packed. The lunch menu had such items as chop suey so I knew I'd come to a restaurant that had been around awhile. I was going to order ala carte but the luncheon specials were too good to pass up. So I got the sweet and sour chicken which came with an egg roll. The food was pretty good. I'll have to come again.

My dear friend and coworker grew up down the street from Yin Yue and has been preaching the virtues of it for the past year or so. We finally found some time to go there for lunch. It doesn't look much from the outside. It's this little yellow place right on Hudson. Don't let deter you. This inside is clean and kitschy, with hand painted scenes of boats and cranes. It's very, very small, with only five or six booths. The staff was super duper friendly and the service really fast. Even though it was the middle of the week for lunch, almost every booth was taken and there was a steady stream of takeout orders. I got an egg roll (only $1.30!!!!!!) and it was GREAT. I am super picky about egg rolls, having been let down by stale, empty ones that often populate Chinese buffets. This one was big, fat and piping hot. Just like I like 'em ;) I also ordered the lunch portion of orange chicken. The portion was so good I had leftovers! I was pleased with the flavor. It wasn't sticky or overly sugary. I could tell they made the sauce themselves, not just dumped from a bottle. The menu isn't just American Chinese favorites, either. There's some more traditional dishes on there I never heard of that I'm sure some of the more adventurous would like. So go here! The staff was in great moods and we even had some nice conversations with the other patrons.

Went there yesterday, it's not all that. I ordered chicken with vegetable, very little chicken, and a lot of water, or maybe sauce in it. I will never go back you live and learn.

Been going here for years! Friendly staff, large portions, great prices. The chicken pad thai, wor sue gai, and there egg rolls are delicious! Love this place! Don't judge a book by it's cover or location! Only bad thing about this place is they don't deliver, and they are closed Sunday's! Oh yeah, they have been using siracha since before it was cool!! Service is incredible, they're fast! Your order be ready in 10 minute! Lol

Great chinese food. Sometimes the waiter isn't friendly to certain types of people and families but other than that love the food and the service from the other employees.

The new boss is very bad，and rude for customer！the food is too bad ！I ordered the house fired rice，it just had rice no meat！when I called back to say it，the lady who answer the phone，is very rude and said she has no time to talk with me then just hang up the phone！OMG！this is the frist time I meet the people like her！！！！

I have been eating at this establishment since the "old man" was alive - over 40 years. I have noticed changes over the years as the management within the family has changed hands over time. On 11/23/19 I order a large Shrimp Fried Rice and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. When I got home I noticed the Egg Foo Young was over cooked - meaning the edges were hard and not edible. I returned and asked them to cook the order without the hard edges. To my horror I saw them "deep frying" the Egg Foo Young the same way they cook the eggs rolls. That explained the hard edges as well as the lack of flavor and over load of grease coming from this dish. I absolutely know years ago this is NOT the way they use to prepare this dish. It used to contain fresh Chinese vegetables. I'm not sure what it contains now. I'm sad to learn a place I have eaten at all these years no longer really exists. Since the food is almost always ready in 10 mins or less, I have to wonder if everything is simply dropped in a grease fryer and served up with no flavor and plenty of gravy to cover it up. I'm done with this establishment :-(

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants. White people, don't be scared. Give it a try. I've never had a better egg roll. Made fresh daily!

yeah, its in a black, run-down neighborhood- the one I grew up in, actually. If that's a problem for you, then you'll have to get over that. Its not much to look at either. This family restaurant has been here all my life and their food is amazing. I grew up eating this chinese food and I consider myself spoiled by their egg rolls. A warning: You will NOT find egg rolls this good anywhere else. EVER. I have lived in New York and Indianapolis and found myself visiting home as often as possible to eat those egg rolls again. They are crispy and flavorful and super full of filling and goodness. The rest of the food is your standard chinese fare and perhaps not much to write home about. but the egg rolls.. there is comparison. The hot n sour soup is amazing for stuffy noses and sore throats. Whenever we were sick growing up my mom would make the short trip to Hudson Ave and buy some for a quick remedy. Five Stars because this place feels like home to me.

The pad Thai is really good. The vegetarian options are great. This place has amazing oil paintings on the inside done by the owners father a long time ago. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. The owner has a great attitude and always makes me feel welcome

I've lived in Columbus my entire life and for my entire life I've been dissatisfied with my Chinese food options, until I had Yin Yue. While the building is small, old, and dimly lit, the food has always been hot, fresh, and delicious. The service is excellent, very polite and fast. I'd recommend this place to anyone who didn't want some overpriced Panda Express style Chinese.

This restaurant is in a bad neighborhood, however, the restaurant itself if what I am rating. I ate inside once and they serve a tasty hot tea with their delicious food. Low prices, good quality, large portions. Friendly service and did I mention delicious?

Inexpensive neighborhood dive. Good food. Small dining area, probably 60% of their business is carryout. They do a really busy lunch with a regular crowd from Columbus Public School warehouse down the street.

This is a small family run restuarant. If you expect it to be like the large commercialized ones that abound around town, forget it. What is important is that it is a place that is dedicated to providing good on site prepared meals by people who are just common folks like the ones that go there to eat. You are treated very well and the food is very good. Their prices are great too. I had driven by this place many times and finally decided to stop. Do not regret is in any way. They even learned my name and greet me by it whenever I get to go in. That isn't as often as it used to be due to that I live farther away now.
