Overall, I’m happy to have tried Yip, for a mall food court spot, it was decent. The food was hit or miss. The dumplings were actually the disappointment. I tried soup dumplings and crispy pork dumplings. I could have honestly done without them. The steamed chicken dumplings were better. I also ordered the BBQ pork bun and the duck bao bun. They were absolutely delicious. The strawberry lemonade boba was also incredibly good. Long story short, there are some great items, and others that don’t justify the cost … cafeteria quality dumplings but not cafeteria prices.

Google
Okay food court Asian dumpling/dim sum restaurant. Had the steamed chicken dumplings ($8) and the small coconut boba milk tea ($7). Service was neutral. Order was filled very quickly.

Overall nothing really bad to say. It wasn’t an horrible experience but it also wasn’t great. The food was pretty mid while also being expensive and the staff was unattainable. This was my first time coming to this place a date and needless to say I won’t be coming again.

Google
I ordered one singular brown sugar boba the worker that was preparing took more than 5 min just because she was on her phone and talking then I had to wait another 5 because she forgot to add the boba pearls, the boba wasn’t even filled to the top, I honestly love this place but that one worker needs to learn.

Google
Glad I finally tried the food. It was good and the drinks were phenomenal, but the dumplings portions were too small and they put too much ice in my drinks at the time of ordering and had to ask them to remake it. Not worth the price or the hype.

Ning Quares

Google
The food here is disgusting! We order bao bun and they were little empty I would never eat here again!

Google
The presentation and the service was good. The food came with ample napkins and was nicely packed in cardboard boxes. The dumpling sauce was okay. However that’s about the extent of the positive experience. The soup dumplings had no soup inside of it whatsoever. In fact, the dough was super tough. The 305 dumpling was acceptable. Chili oil is an additional charge. First time experiencing a dim sum place charging for chili oil.

Google
We haven’t tried the food here yet, we’ve only the boba milk tea and we’ve loved it every time. Service has been good for the most part. Sometimes it’s a hit or miss Also note that the food is not served in the containers they have displayed, they are served in regular takeout containers

Yelp
Amazing drinks but pretty expensive. But the employees are always friendly and their new location is bigger. Would come back again.

Yelp
A great restaurant located at a hidden corner but honestly they should be front and center. Delicious food and great boba only comparable to the great service always provided by staff and Elizabeth. Highly recommend their boba matcha.

Yelp
Not sure why I was expecting a bit more from this place, but I was excited to try their signature cheeseburger dumpling. It was just eh- Tasted like a pork dumpling and was slightly undercooked but extremely greasy. The sauce is good, portions are small $8 for 4 mini dumplings. Unfortunately wont be back.

Yelp
Buns have no flavor. The fried shrimp has a tail on but you don't know until you bite into it. The crispy chicken is ok. Overall, the worst bao buns I've ever had.

Yelp
Manager who too shamed and took advantage of a 13 year old girl. We ask them to fix it . He tried to confuse her. Saying that that's what she asked for. Even though the receipt stated that the order was different. She was already embarrassed, And he took advantage of her as she tried to get the Thai tea that she ordered. After she came back to the table, embarrassed that he tried to manipulate her. She tried to drink it, but she didn't like it . I went to go talk to them and ask them. And he tried to manipulate me saying that's what she ordered even though the man that took the order was going to originally fix it.

Yelp
Awful service and mediocre over priced food... They want to charge for everything so don't even dare ask for water and the food takes forever... There was no line when i got there and the only 2 people after me gave me got their food before me.... It took 20 mins to get my food... she I see the person in the back she was eating and on her phone! I was super close to just getting a refund and leaving. I work in the mall and only have 30 mins to eat so this took my entire break. I eat at the food court of the mall often but I'm never going here no matter what.

Yelp
The quality of the dim sum has gone down. Very oily, prices shown on display are not representative of what you actually pay. Not substantial but worth mentioning. Sorry to say I won't be eating here any more :(
google avatar

Yelp
This place it's always sooo good the Shrimp Dumplings never disappoints. The food it's always fresh and the orders come out super quick . Can't forget about the taro milk tea , my top choice for milk tea since it's so filling and with lychee jelly !

Yelp
Came in for dinner on Thursday and the food was average at best. I had the soup dumplings $13 for 4 tiny not very hot soup dumplings that lacked flavor. I also tried the pecking duck bao buns which I liked very much. And to drink I had the strawberry boba tea. The service was good , but I wouldn't necessarily order here again.
google avatar

Angie G.

Yelp
Love a good boba tea glad they added this place in the mall. My go to was the passion fruit lemonade boba
google avatar

Yelp
Bubble tea and dumplings? what a genius combo - it was my first day florida and i had to run to the mall since i forgot all of my shoes and stopped by here as i was starving. I had the soup dumplings (ok not amazing), the spring rolls (insanely delicious), shrimp bao buns (must have) and pork gyoza (did not like). Overall it was good, the flavors range from spicy to salty so it was a bit all over the place for my palette. The bubble tea was very good!
google avatar

Patty M.

Yelp
The only thing we enjoyed were the fried Spring Rolls, Fried Pork Dumplings, the steamed ones were gummy and the inside was lacking in taste. The service was quick and the ambiance was not bad since the mall was not full.
google avatar

Yelp
The staff here is horrendous with the worst attitudes. It's safe to say I've never had a positive experience interacting with any staff member here and I've been here many times, but I keep returning because the Duck Bao buns are delicious. I almost always try a different dim sum with an order of the Duck and I'm always left satisfied. If you try anything the Duck Bao Buns is a must try but it does come with a side of horrible customer service ...a match made in heaven!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place in the Treats Food Hall at Aventura Mall for a while, and finally did. I saw that the reviews were kind of hit or miss, and wanted to finally try it anyway. Although I am glad I finally scratched that itch, I don't know that it lived up to what I'd hoped. It drew me in with the Chinese steamer baskets stacked around the counters, which made me think the presentation and methods would be authentic. I'm not sure about the prep, but the dumplings I ordered came in a typical takeout box. I tried to ask the woman taking my order questions about the food or for a recommendation, and she wasn't helpful. I also got a mango milk tea. The chicken dumplings were good, but the mango milk tea barely had any flavor. The whole order (4 chicken dumpings and SMALL milk tea) was almost $20. It was alright, but the quality and amount of food definitely wasn't worth that high price. I'd rather go somewhere else and get better food for that same amount of money.
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
While the flavor was great, I was a bit turned off that the tails (cartilage) were left on the shrimp before being fried. That might make me uncultured, but it took me by surprise as I haven't encountered this at any similar restaurants and didn't even know they were edible. It might be worth noting this on the menu. The main reason I am giving 2 stars though is because as we were eating, we could see one of the chefs using their cell phone without changing gloves, which seems germy. The food could be a slam dunk here- a few small changes could make a big difference in the overall experience.

Yelp
This is sugar with rice and fish. All I was able to taste was the sugar. Way overpriced

Yelp
Went to the new corner location in Aventura mall. We waited 20 minutes for 1 order of spring rolls with no one waiting and no one in line the whole 20 minutes. The girl taking orders was rude and the guy making food was flirting with a lady friend who showed up and did not order food so he forgot to make our spring roll order, which is why we had the long wait. On top of it, food did not taste good. Do not go there!
google avatar

Natasha G.

Yelp
Bite size pieces, perfect as an appetizer on a half full stomach. There's wasn't much to write home about and the flavor could be taken up a notch. As far as sauces, maybe a sesame ginger soy sauce would be nice to add some Unami.

Yelp
Came here for some bites on Thursday and was extremely excited because I finally get to try soup dumplings but was immediately disappointed. I ordered the pork soup dumplings, steamed shrimp dumplings and lychee boba. The steam shrimp dumplings and lychee boba drink was okay but could be better. I believe it is a bit overpriced. Now I took a bite into the soup dumpling and pink juice came shooting out. I immediately spit it because it didn't taste right and the texture was off. Looking at the dumpling the meat inside it completely pink which means it raw. I asked my friend before I made a decision and they did agree it is raw. No soup was in the dumplings just meat and a tough dumpling wrapper. I went to the stall and the worker looked and said let me get the manager. The manager at the time was not understanding but immediately defensive. He advised that the steamer makes the meat pink, at that point he clearly thinks I don't know how pork is supposed to look when it's cooked. I'm telling him no soup is in the dumplings and the wrapper is still hard so clearly these were not cooked properly. Instead of him being understanding he just brushed me off, he didn't want to give me back my money but instead wanted to just give me something else which isn't want I wanted. This experience was extremely unprofessional and they should be more careful because someone could get sick.

Yelp
I was excited to see Yip have a location here, only I was a bit disappointed with the quality. Where they have your order fast, it tastes not as fresh as the early days of Wynnwood. Prices were $7 for 4 shrimp and chive this visit.
google avatar

Natasha L.

Yelp
Only had the boba tea but the staff was kind and quick. the tea was refreshing and tasty. it took about 5 minutes from the moment i ordered to receiving my tea. pretty funny that they ask you what kind of color straw you want
google avatar

Yelp
This place is inside the mall on the 3 rd floor where the food hall is. I ordered my food and it wasn't too long of a wait. Everything was warm and fresh and the dipping sauces were perfect with each item I ordered. Next time I want to try their restaurant!
google avatar

Yelp
Yip is a great addition to Aventura Mall's Treats Food Hall! I had noticed the location was coming and was excited to try it once it opened. The first location of Yip is in the 1-800-LUCKY market in Wynwood. My partner and I went to Aventura Mall on a weekend for a late lunch and it was a little confusing at first at Yip to figure out what side of the counter you should go to when you place your order as they had no signage at the restaurant directing you where you should go. My partner and I ordered the Crispy Pork Dumplings - 3 pieces for $5.61 and the Pork Xiao Long Bay (Soup Dumplings) - 3 pieces for $5.61. I also asked for an ice water and they said they didn't have water and could only sell us bottled water. A little strange as most other restaurants in the food hall - even the Auntie Anne's pretzel cart next to them - even serves ice water upon request. We waited for about 10 minutes while the pork dumplings were fried on the spot and the soup dumplings were also steamed. Everything came out very fresh and hot and was delicious. The prices were also very good as well. I wish they served some entrees in addition to the dim sum, because the dim sum by itself is not quite enough for a meal. I definitely look forward to coming back for a light afternoon appetizer!

Yelp
First off, this place is a rip off. We spent $60 (for 2 people) for everything you see here and the food was average. It was pretty plain tasting and the service was relatively slow. The vegetable spring rolls were one of the better items, along with the shrimp dumplings, but other than that, this place has little to offer. The boba was fresh and the drink was overall good but it was around $7 for this tiny regular sized drink. Not worth it when there's other boba available at Aventura mall. Next time I'm visiting the mall I'll try something else.
google avatar

Sha J.

Yelp
Tried the soup dumplings and they were ok. The soup wasn't hot so I was a bit disappointed but the taste was fine. The coconut Boba with almond milk was really good. The shrimp and pork dumplings were tastey. The brown sugar body with whole milk was good. Keep in mind the dumplings are small and come in an order of 4 but with a Boba drink it's filling.

Yelp
Teens and I were at the Aventura Mall this Saturday afternoon and traveled to the food court. This place looked hip and new and the menu was full of items that sounded wonderful. Each plate was 8 bucks and seemed an ok value for mall. We tried the Fried Pork Dumplings and they were quite small, crispy, and flavored nice. Not sure they were worth admission however as each were 2 bucks and size of 2 inches max. The second was said to be chicken Parmesan. They came out small, doughy, and no flavor at all. Even the tiny little marinara dipping cup had no flavor and appeared bottled. You got 4 very small dumplings for the same 8 dollar admission. The place looks nice with all the bamboo steam canisters. Food is actually served in smal brown box bento type item. Employees were nice and available and food appeared steamed to order. It took 5-6 minutes after order to receive.

Yelp
Checked out this new BOBA TEA stop, right in the middle of the food court here in aventura. They also sell Dim Sum and Boa Bums. Friendly staff and quick. I love how they made my boba tea got the Matcha Chatcha absolutely delicious.

Dayana C.

Yelp
There are many options at the Aventura Mall Food Hall, I usually stick to the ones I know and love, but I decided to try Yip for a change - unfortunately not my best choice. To begin with, the service was not pleasant. I don't order Dim Sum often so I had questions on the menu and what was included in the Dumpling Sampler. The cashier was a bit rude and simply just wanted to take my order and keep it moving. I felt extremely rushed although there were only 2 people behind me. Now for the food: I only enjoyed the Crispy Dumpling and Soup Dumpling. The rest of the dumplings lacked flavor and quality. Even the spring rolls were not good. The sampler and soup dumplings were a total of $32 - I do not think this was worth the price due to the quality of the food. Unfortunately, I don't think I would be back to try again.

Yelp
Service is terrible. Food is overpriced. And they play the game of "we ran out of the size you want so you can only upsize." That is foul play.
google avatar

Tracy M.

Yelp
I only got Boba from YIP so I didn't try out their whole menu or have a full experience. But the time I did spend their with the item I did get (Green Tea Boba) was yummy and pleasant.

Alberto M.

Yelp
Good service but the boba had old tapioca and it tasted super sweet and artificial. The dumplings are good but doesn't really compensate for mid 8 dollar boba.
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
Pro: The decor is very enticing, when we saw the steam we HAD to order dumplings. Service was good and very fast. Cons: The food was okay, nothing to write home about, we were glad we only ordered the Shrimp and Chives Dumpling and the Veggie Spring roll to share. Will not return.
google avatar

Viola R.

Yelp
I got a peking duck bao. Nice crispy skin, good portion of meat, slightly over-sauced. An order comes with two baos, by the time i got to the second one, the bao itself fall apart. Perhaps it has to do with the food container which trapped the steam and soften the boa. The container is a paper box, instead of traditional bamboo steam boxes. Overall, I probably would eat there again.

Yelp
They were recently opened. The storefront looking clean and good. The price is okay, since it is at a Food Hall in Aventura Mall. The price expected to be a little bit high. However, if the foods are good, then we will consider acceptable. The representation is acceptable. The foods are below average. On the pork xiao long bao, the skin is not bad, but the meats inside were not good. Those meats were mushy and no texture. We have ate many pork xiao long bao before, but this is properly the worst one. We understand there were soup inside, but that was not a good pork xiao long bao. On the crispy chicken bun, the sauce was pretty good, but too much. It made the bun too wet and fell apart. The crispy chicken was a bit dry. There was a piece of bone inside the crispy chicken. We also ordered the Thai Boba Tea, it was pretty good. It was not too sweet. The price is a bit high, but it is acceptable inside a mall. Our overall experience was below average. They have a lot to improve. We might not recommend others at this time. Hopefully, they will make it better. We gave them 2.5 out of 10.
google avatar

Tai G.

Yelp
The dumplings had flavor. I got the dim sum sampler. I loooved the crispy pork dumplings and the shrimp dumplings the best. The spring roll was very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I would go to another YIP location so I could sit and eat comfortably
google avatar

YoonJI S.

Yelp
We got one of each dim sum and each one was so good and flavorful! The boba was very sweet. Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite!

Leslie C.

Yelp
I came to aventura for shake shack but took a detour because how can I say no to soup dumplings. I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering. Like someone else said, dumplings were lukewarm - I'd even go as far as to say cold. And the soup dumplings I was so excited for: NO SOUP! They were dryyy! The pork and shrimp shu mai were tough. I don't understand how - neither shrimp nor pork are hard. It was like eating a lump of idekwhat. The lychee tea is okay. I am really upset that I spent so much money on this (fyi they add 18% tip automatically)! I stopped eating to write this and I hope I help someone else make better choices than I.
google avatar

Elaine G.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place. There is not enough representation of dim sum in the Miami area. The dim sum so they call it, is a poor effort in showing the actual delicious dishes dim sum is known for. The worst dim sum I've ever had is from here. Cold and chewy pieces of sad food. Food is overpriced. Just walk away.

Yelp
Nicely steamed boa pork buns and refreshing peach boba. It hit the spot while walking around the mall. Great place service was super fast.
google avatar

El S.

Yelp
Place is overall not good. Just skip it there are so many better options. Taro boba tea: boba were incredibly tiny like the kind that are pre made not fresh juicy big ones. Tea itself was okay Bbq pork bun: first bite was all bun and incredibly dry. Took another bite of the middle to get the meat and it was cold. How can they not cook this all the way through? As a bao place? I was grossed out and spit it out. Soup dumplings: bland I didn't even bother finishing this meal I just got up threw it away and went somewhere else to eat. 30$ not well spent Service was also not great. Cashier was not friendly and eating while taking my order. 0/10 recommendation
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
Gross and got our order wrong. Ordered several dumpling types and all boxes were the same - what appears to be undercooked meat that tasted terrible going down and for three hours after the first Pepsid.
google avatar

Elisa B.

Yelp
Super sweet and kind! Gave me a generous amount of extra boba for my Thai tea! I got an extra charm too!
google avatar

Julia G.

Yelp
I just move to the area from the Bay Area, CA and have tried a few other Dim Sum restaurants. This one is my new favorite. While they do not have many options I enjoyed their Xiao long Bao and pot stickers! They tapioca pearls in the boba was not my favorite, but still better than many other local boba places
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
First of all, these are American style dim sum! It's edible, but not good. Every dish is off from the original flavor. Prices are extremely high, maybe because is located inside the mall?! We tried Xiao Long baos and Spring rolls, pork belly buns. Not recommend this place unless you are dim sum hungry.
google avatar

Germaine H.

Yelp
Absolutely the dimmest of dim sum. Flavor of shrimp pork dumpling was tasty, but that's it for this place. I had wanted to try Yip last time I was at Aventura Mall but had lunch plans at a nearby restaurant with a friend, so I decided I would go the next time I was here. Unfortunately, Yip did not live up to the love I have for a good dumpling. CONS: 1) Luke warm dumplings - shouldn't fresh dumplings be steaming hot, or at least hot? These were not. Luke warm at best. (CON-cerned for my safety eating undercooked food.) 2) Customer service lacking - I asked for a cup of water, they don't give out water. I asked for dipping sauce, specifically hot mustard for the Har Gao I ordered. Guy looked at me like I was asking too much. Choices: sweet chili sauce, spicy mayo & soy. Not even a proper dipping sauce for the most basic dim sum. I was handed two packets of soy sauce. I asked for a small cup (for dipping) guy looked at me again like I was over-asking. An 18% tip is pretty much added to your bill at checkout so I was hoping for a little more enthusiasm and a little less eye rolling. PRO: As I mentioned pork & shrimp dim sum flavor was nice but with every bite of the luke warm dumpling I truly wondered if they were actually cooked and was I gonna get food poisoning? I'll report back... (so maybe that's a con) ugh. Bottom line: go anywhere else in Aventura Mall for a bite.

Yelp
I have been itching to try this place for a while, I found another Bao place at Miami International Mall and it was not bad so that made me even more excited to try Yip. Well, that was a waste of time. I got there and the cashier helped me our, he showed the size of the dumplings. I already felt like the portions were really small for the price but this was on my list of things to try so I went for it. I ordered the Fried Duck Bao Bun, Shrimp and Pork Dimsum and Pork Dimsum. After opening the box, I was far from impressed. The dumplings were bland and the shrimp and pork was a little off putting. The duck was slathered in a sauce that tasted like a cross between barbecue and lots of soy sauce. It was dry oh some parts and greasy in others. I wanted to love it but I don't. I won't be returning for food, I'll be back to try the boba tea. The 2 stars is for the cashier, he didn't seem thrilled about his job but he was helpful, so he saved this review. Right after, I went to another place in the food court for fried rice to actually have a meal at a reasonable price.

Yelp
I asked for more flavoring in my chocolate milk tea today and it tasted sweeter but not very chocolatey. Tasted kind of like caramel or molasses. It's the only place near me though. South Florida is not the place for bubble tea! Lol

Aussie J.

Yelp
Not good. Tasteless and bad service. Unfriendly staff and they ask for a tip in front of you which is awkward. Then it was slow and didn't taste at all good.
