My son attends Francos Pride Boxing Club. Older facility, but it is maintained well. Great summer workout boxing from 6pm to 8 pm

My bad experience was the fact that nobody called or cared. As I was exercising, some guy passed in front of me and took a picture of me and moved on. I was in disbelief and thought of the awful things some people do with photos. I didn't know what to do as I was stunned.I just left feeling my privacy was taken. I called and left a message about the incident. No one cared enough to contact me. I canceled my membership.

Nice gym. Nice people. Good classes. But this gym is no longer affiliated with the Y.

This place is very outdated! The only perks are the pool and 24 hour access to the weights & cardio section. The lighting in some of the rooms aren’t bright enough. The stairs are a hazard when trying to go to certain sections of the facility. I really couldn’t see elderly folks making it to a lot of the other rooms that are available. There are just so many stairs and the stairs are very steep!! The facility is just waiting for an incident to happen! The workout room where weights and cardio machines are located do not have fans to circulate the air- so you’re literally just basking in your own sweat. Majority of the workout equipment is outdated for the cardio section. Most of the machines don’t have a port to charge your phone. And the women’s changing rooms are dingy as well. The chairs in the changing room are old and the seat covers are peeling. It’s all very old and not something that you would typically expect to see from a well known facility. YMCA isn’t what it used to be, it’s definitely gone down hill.

Need to add more seating for basket ball games for youth.Boys and Girls club has bleacher type seating to accommodate more people and it's cheaper to get in.

I'm a winter Texan from Wisconsin and work out at the Y in Corpus at leat 3 days per week from January to March. . The staff Fernando. Mike and George have been super friendly and welcoming as have the members. I look forward to my next Winter staycation in Corpus and going to my Y in Corpus.

I have been a member at this Y since 2005. Although some of the building is quite old, the wing with machines is nice and new. Staff and instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. One nice perk is your membership is good at any Y around the country... great when you are traveling

I'll change this when they decide to update their check in process. Most YMCA's accept digital check-in via an app. This place wants my to carry an id card with me. Who does that today's time? I don't even carry a wallet. We live in a world full of technology to make our lives easier. Let's use it.

Well the new locker rooms are awesome. Better then what they were. Fernando is still not very helpful only when he wants to or you are female, then he goes above and beyond.

Nice little place. Somewhat unorganized. Fairly good selection of cardio machines, weight machines are a little sparse but you can get what you need done. Pool is very small and no lane lines for lap swim. it looks to be only about 20 yards if that.

My children attended the summer camp. The camp leaders and director were very unprofessional and need to take a customer service course. The camp was not structured enough and to much down time.

Outstanding place to work out. Terrific location for those who work downtown and want to hit the gym before work, during lunch or after work. Showers, sauna, classes, gym, pool, it's all there. Personal training packages are very affordable and there are several excellent trainers available. This is a hidden gem of a gym!

Excellent staff who was super friendly to myself and my fellow out of town co-workers. Memorable gym, something for the old school people like me as well as those who like something more familiar and accommodating.

I had a great experience here! It started with the front desk when Fernando was helpful in informing me about their week pass and classes, I was visiting Corpus and we were having rainy cold weather. He also informed me that he teaches a Zumba class on Tues & Thurs at 5:30pm, which I attended and loved! Fernando plays great music, he has a great routine, and is a very kind man. Be ready to break out in a sweat! The members here are also very friendly, I was inspired hearing some stories of how the Zumba classes had helped people drop a great deal of weight! I visit every couple of months, and I'm looking forward to going back!

Don't join this gym. I joined to use the indoor pool, but after the 1st use my body was covered in a rash from the chemicals. I submitted my written cancelation request 10 days later, and was subsequently charged for the next 3 months. I spent 2 weeks going to the gym in person and calling on the phone regarding the cancelation and was denied a manager every single time and told my messages to the managers may simply be getting lost. Nobody would help me or even change my status in their system to inactive. I finally had to block them via my bank to keep them from continuing to charge me, and have so far been unsuccessful in being refunded for the over charges.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I moved to Houston in December 2018 and cancelled my membership then. Yet they have still charged me every single month and I have called countless times, visited three times (again because I don't live there) to see if in person it could get resolved. Everytime I go I'm told, "okay we'll get it fixed".... yet its may and I'm still getting charged. Everytime I call I get someone who is rude with attitude and doesn't want me to speak to the manager there and says they will write my number and leave it at their desk and yet I haven't gotten not ONE SINGLE call back. I'm beyond upset at the disorganization this ymca has. I've been a YMCA member in many since I was 8 years old I love them but this YMCA has to be one of he worst.

it is a fine gym and has equipt that is more often found in southern calif, like a jones machine - pool is ok too

good atmosphere, not a meat head gym, not an old ladies gym, a good mix of all types. lots of space, pool is a lil to warm to me, and the racquetball courts are in great shape. only one issue is that old timers that go there have no shame at all and walk around the entire locker room buck naked with no towel unless its draped over thier shoulder. haha

filthy ymca. i was in the men's locker room and whirlpool area on friday 8/4/17 at about 5:30 p m. that place was filthy and smelled like it has not been cleaned in a week. this is the second time in three weeks that i have complained about the cleanliness of the ymca. you want to really throw up go to the men's locker room and whirlpool area, it will do it for you. this is an example of what the ymca's management really is, piss poor. the day care area for the kids must really be bad. the ymca is old looking but it still can be cleaned and good maintenance performed on the ymca. maybe i should call the nueces county health department?
