Outstanding experience. The guests, atmosphere, and of course the food made for an incredible evening|We booked an overnight room and the chefs table… so glad we paid the extra. Extraordinary experience from start to finish. I was worried about the music but there was no need… it added to the uniqueness of the 5 hours. Gareth was extremely attentive as were his whole team, but were also really discreet using headsets and microphones to communicate in a really slick way. He was loving the evening as we all were. The food was quite something. - I really was quite overwhelmed by it the sublime tastes….such incredible ingredients. We were really spoiled…. And because of those ingredients this has now become the best restaurant we’ve eaten in. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place… which was also enhanced by some very special guests. Delicious breakfast & take home coffee. Totally awesome. Thankyou

Fresh and individual/rarely used ingredients prepared and served by people with a passion for enjoying and sharing their craft. Fusion cuisine, individual wines rarely experienced anywhere else. A very different restaurant experience. The menu concentrates on flavours over presentation; not that the presentation is bad, just less emphasis than other restaurants at the same level. Every dish had unique flavours, and used really high quality interesting ingredients. One of the best restaurants I have eaten in, possibly the best. A whole evening’s experience from 5:15 to 10:30 ish.||I enjoyed every course. Some stood out more than others, but all had their merits. Highly recommended if you are not a fussy eater.||Music was fine, volume not overly loud, and I enjoyed breakfast the next day in the room. Personally I liked the relaxed vibe with regard to dress code etc. ||I would be back if I could afford it! If you like your food, make sure you save up and pay a visit.

The best restaurant that we have ever been to!! It is actually quite hard to explain how incredible this place is in words. The staff are friendly and fun, the food is exceptional as only the best ingredients have been used and Gareth is extremely easy going and makes you feel so welcome. Talk about Geordie hospitality!! We booked the chefs table and stayed in one of their garden rooms, if you get the opportunity to go, go the full hog as although it’s not cheap it is one of the best experiences you will ever have. If you enjoy music and want a cracking atmosphere then you won’t be disappointed as Jacob Kelly is on vinyl throughout the night which only builds as the night goes on. Thank you all so much for making our night and stay a memory that will stay with us forever.

Visiting Ynyshir is truly an experience. It's not the most conveniently located restaurant however the trek there will definitely be worthwhile. The food was excellent with great flavours. Additionally the service from the team is friendly and on point. The sommelier, Rory, will definitely help find something that you will love to drink with the various courses of the meal. The rooms are also well designed and provided a great place to rest after the meal.

From the unique craftsmanship of the tableware to the sheer theatre of the dining experience with an awesome vinyl soundtrack mixed live adding to the buzz. Every course executed with finesse complimented by a fantastic wine list - most of which is available by the glass. Wonderfully designed and spacious rooms with every amenity and a banging breakfast muffin to see you off the next day. An amazing experience from start to finish and a real treat for the senses - we will be back!

From the moment I sat down, I knew I was in for something special, but nothing could have prepared me for the extraordinary experience that unfolded. Each of the 30+ courses was a revelation, with the fish courses standing out as the most unforgettable. Every bite was a new discovery, with flavors so unique and extraordinary that they defied description. ||As the meal progressed, each course built upon the last, surprising and delighting me in ways I never thought possible. The attention to detail, the creativity, and the flawless execution were unmatched. Every dish felt like a masterpiece, crafted with a level of care and passion that is rare to find. ||Ynyshir is not just the best restaurant in the UK – it might very well be the best in the world.
