Ynyshir Restaurant and Rooms

This was an amazing food experience & surpassed our expectations! From the time we arrived to when we left the service was superb! Fabulous food & a wonderful Front Row table! The attention to detail was incredible throughout! The DJ & his music just set the tone! Gareth & his fabulous team made our unique dining experience & stay extremely enjoyable & we will be back! We would just like to say a special thanks to Ava, Rory & Andy!

Like many we had wanted to visit Ynyshir, we planned a trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was fabulous. We’d been excited to visit and were lucky with nice mild weather, the surroundings are lovely and we were greeted warmly by Gareth and the team which was a real treat.|We’d were offered a glass of English sparkling on arrival and a chat with Gareth whilst he prepped some of the range of unreal fish from all over the world. To see the salt chamber was a nice touch and special.|We were lucky to have the front row seats and we enjoyed all the service action all night, the mood and atmosphere is lovely, a real nice vibe. We enjoyed every course, the “burger” bite taste will stay with me for a long time and we felt lucky to taste lots of various cuts of fish like we’d never had before. We had some lovely wine throughout the evening thanks to Michael. |We had a nice chat to Gareth which finished our splendid evening. Thanks for a special evening

This was our second visit to Ynyshir after a previous visit in July 2024, which in itself says something. It's a fantastic experience, casual and intimate, super friendly and not over bearing. Throw yourself into the experience and the team can see that you want to know more, have a chat with the DJ through the night, chat with Gareth and his great team (be respectful, it's hard work and takes a great deal of coordination to present the guests with 30 courses like clockwork!). Food is outstanding, music is outstanding, no pressure to indulge in wine flights, they just go with your flow. Garden room was delightful, you really should stay, it makes the experience even better. Looking forward to heading back in the near future.

As a Wheelchair user I couldn't be more grateful for the effort they made to keep me included in the entirety of the experience of dining 2 star Michelin food. From the rolling out of the ramps where needed to taking a personalised video of showing their process of preparation in the areas I couldn't access. It goes without saying by far the best food I have ever tasted and would highly recommend anyone that enjoys food able bodied or not to come and enjoy the talents of Gareth and his lovely team. Thank you for hosting me and my brother for our final meal out together before his departure to foreign lands.

It’s been said before but this really is an experience. On arrival we where greeted by a member of staff who took us into the lounge , we where offered a cool towel to freshen up and a welcome drink.|Later we shown our room which had the most enormous bathroom, and a very comfortable lounge area.|When you go into dinner Gareth can be seen preparing the fish he’s about to cook, he’s a very engaging bloke who interacts with all his staff and guests.|What follows is 30 courses of amazing flavour, every dish made us smile.|The service throughout the whole evening was probably as good as I have ever had, obviously well trained, the young girl even noticed we were both left handed and always laid our cutlery to the left.|We did wonder about the music but it was really good.|Overall a fantastic experience, never thought I’d eat caviar with banana ice cream but there are 29 other courses that are an equal delight.

My husband took me here as a surprise for my 40th and what a wonderful surprise it was. |The food was exquisite and the atmosphere relaxed. |We had some cocktails when we first arrived and the waitress was friendly and chatty. |Our room was comfortable and clean and in the morning we had breakfast in bed delivered.|There are extensive grounds for generally wandering about.|It was a great experience and the best surprise.

Goodness me!! These guys use super ingredients and do not skimp on things that matter. The cooking was top-notch and a fun and exciting combination of Asian flavours. Our servers were wonderful - The female chef from London, who recently joined the team was a particular standout - thanks for a fun chat and hope you find that cookbook!! The winelist is extensive and great to see most of it being available by the glass. Finally, to whoever cooked the eggs for breakfast muffin- I have not had one done perfectly in a while- thank you!! In all, I'd return in a heartbeat and thinking about the quality and quantity of the ingredients, pretty good value too.
