The Best Montreal Cafés for Working or Studying | Eater Montreal

"This café prides itself on taking modern third-wave brewing techniques and reapplying them to old-school Italian coffee, and is one of a kind in Ville-Émard-Côte-Saint-Paul. Yo & Co also serves soups and sandwiches in its bright open space with plenty of room to sit." - JP Karwacki

The Best Cafes in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Located in Ville-Émard, Yo & Co is a great option for anyone looking to explore areas south of the Lachine Canal. Parc St-Paul, just down the street, is an excellent place for patrons to sit with their coffee, but before they do, they can also grab a bottle of wine for later." - Daniel Bromberg

Cute cozy nook with artisan-quality coffees. Baristas are really talented, even with vegan milks, and the coffee blends change regularly (daily?). Third wave, but not pretentious. Note—they did not have any vegan pastry options when I visited, as mentioned in other reviews. Delicious !

Yo & Co Espresso Bar (5590 Laurendeau St, Montreal, Quebec H4E 3W3) - this place is a total blast of youthful energy and style! 😎 You walk in, and you're immediately hit with a great vibe – so fresh and inspiring. ✨ The interior here is really well thought out, creating a feeling of lightness and modernity. It seems like every detail is in its place, adding a special charm to this spot. And the pastries... they're just a gastronomic delight! 🥐 I especially want to highlight their croissants – they're airy, crispy, with a divine aroma. Pure enjoyment! 😋 And of course, the king of any café – the coffee! ☕ In my personal ranking, the coffee prepared at Yo & Co Espresso Bar confidently makes it into the top five in Montreal. Nice cafe. It's smaller but there is space for wifi and working. I ordered a chai latte. They have the slightly spicier Say When brand which i like...the spicier the better.

The employees are always so nice and welcoming. I love the atmosphere and vibes - the front area gets a lot of natural light and is furnished with pink chairs and artsy decor. There’s a back room for socializing but the highlight, to me, has to be the front. The chai latte and iced coffee are both solid options and taste good.

I have a unique perspective on Yo & Co Espresso Bar, having been both a loyal customer and then a barista. Although I no longer work there, I continue to visit and support this spot. As a patron, my favorites are their Hot or Iced Oat Maple Lattes and their Oat Cortados, made just as delightful with “regular” milk by Henrietta, a local supplier. The staff are always welcoming and attentive, making each visit enjoyable. They’re not just friendly but also knowledgeable, always ready to share astuces cafés/coffee tips with interested patrons. During my time as a barista, I experienced firsthand the support and respect from both the team and owner, Yorick, indicative of the café’s positive work environment & attention to local connection/community. The café’s high-quality coffee offerings include choices from local roasters such as Canal Roasters, Escape, Za & Klo, Jungle & Structure. Beyond enjoying a good cuppa in-store, customers can purchase these local roasters’ coffee beans and brewing equipment for home use. The delectable pastries are from local bakers and include classics such as croissants, muffins, and apple turnovers to die for from “Avec Le Temps,” as well as decadent vegan square cakes by Paradise and occasional treats from Arhoma, including delicious brownies and my fave: their pistachio croissants. And don’t miss the homemade goodies baked by Yorick’s mom, also available at the café. Yo & Co also features a boutique section with a variety of locally made products ranging from dry flowers to candles, artisanal soaps, fine groceries, wine, beer, Boreal chocolates, and much more! Yo & Co Espresso Bar stands out as a strong supporter of local businesses, offering high-quality coffee, pastries, and more. It remains a preferred destination for many, including myself, and a commendable workplace for aspiring baristas.

This cafe feels like a warm, lingering hug from an old friend. You will be greeted with smiles as comforting as a patchwork quilt, radiating warmth like an August sun. Each cup is a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors that dances on your tongue, crafted by people who pour their passion into every espresso shot. In this cozy corner of the world, time slows down, where people matter more than anything else, and every visit leaves you a little warmer, a little more connected to the community. This place isn't just about great coffee and people, it's also about the joy of finding where you belong.

Yelp
Cute café in Ville Emard. Good and amiable service. Delicious latte and croissant. We enjoyed our time there, the only downside is their coffee grinder is super noisy; it felt I was near a construction area. Otherwise recommended.

Yelp
Excellent café dans ce coffee shop ! Ils ne rotissent pas leur café eux même mais leur café est quand même excellent. They didn't roast their coffee beans themselves, but they make an excellent coffee.

Yelp
Great little spot we're you can grab a good coffee and some baked goods. You can also find a few reusable coffee cups as well as coffee beans for sale. I particularly love the latte here which you can have with your choice of milk (except for almond milk). The service is what really stands out here; the barista was super chatty and personable. This place is a great cosy neighborhood cafe!
