The staff was helpful and patient! The food was great, I requested that my salmon be cooked medium and they did just that! And all 3 of those juice flavors mixed is so good!!

This to this day was one of the best meals I’ve had at any restaurant, including expensive five stars white cloth/ candle lit atmospheres. The customer service was great, I arrived late (not knowing the area), and eat like the place had just opened. The food was fresh and delicious. I event had the chance to meet the Chef himself, who was humble and so cool! I even now make a variation of this at home & my Husband enjoys it each time. Thanks “Yo Chef” !!!

Yo! CHEF was more than I expected. I like the location, the inside was nice & clean, even the restroom. They have self order stations, computers so you place your own order. The food is cooked to order, so fresh, have patience. There weren't many people sitting to eat, but they had their fair share of rushes. After, you place your order, they cashier hands you a cup of ice for drinks or you can order bottled drinks. The food is so delish, ordered chicken. & waffles, the wings were nice and crispy and the lemon pepper was definitely lemon peppering. We didn't eat that so idk about the waffles. We also ordered sliders, burger & salmon. Hunniiiii when I tell you those salmon sliders are EVERYTHING believe me. My friend said the burgers were good too. They had to because he rolled his eyes & smacked his lips 🤣. The sweet potato fries were good, the Cajun fries were cajuning. I would just get my fries extra crispy. The spring rolls were hot and good, especially with the sweet chili sauce. Now let's get to the desserts...the strawberry cake is 💣 it's texture is good and moist, it's not too sweet. HOWEVER it's not worth $12 because the container is only half full and looks like it's just dumped inside. I was disappointed in the portion and presentation once the top is removed. The red velvet is really good and portion is good. The drinks, lemonade, pineapple and mango was good. I'll be back, yo! Chef, what's cooking

This food is fresh, well seasoned and oh so good! This was our first time and we will be going back..please go try it for yourself. Prices are typical Atlanta restaurants (this ain't fast food thank God) that sauce is the best it really goes with everything! Very clean and fast! Great for growing athletes!

Amazing! I had the salmon sliders and they were soooo good! My fiancé had the fried chicken Cajun pasta. The owner is super nice. We went on a Friday night around 11pm… it was not crowded at all. We ordered there and it took maybe 15 mins. Food was cooked fresh. Fresh ingredients. I’m not sure what they use for their lemonades but I mixed all three and sooo good. It’s not too sweet and it tasted like they used real fruit. The place was clean. I hear it gets busy when the nearby clubs are closing and the line can get long. Will definitely return to try other dishes.

This place has fabulous food at very reasonable prices, and they will gladly customize anything on the menu. The owner and employees are incredibly nice. We did a 12-person birthday party there and they set it up for us with tablecloths, a banner and balloons! I wasn’t sure if they could accommodate us, so I filled out the form on their website and was definitely impressed when the owner called me back within 30 minutes. Everyone had a great time, and the food was not only delicious, the portion sizes were large enough that we all had at least one leftover meal afterwards.

One of my favorite food spots! Consistently yummy and open sooo late! Genesis at the front provided perfect customer service and will make me a returning customer! Thank you again :))

Very tasty food! Shout out to this place for being open so late with such tasty food. Located in a busy shopping center with a fun night life. You go inside and order your food on the screen. The workers are mostly in the back unless they are bringing your food out. The sitting is like picnic style with cool art on the way. The pasta portion size is huge. I got an entree and was disappointed but the portion size so will not order again. The wait was a little lengthy but I think you can order ahead. The price is like restaurant $$$ so depending on your budget... do what is best for you lol I would eat here again but try something else that is not an entree.

Stopped in to grab a bite but didn't stay. I took a look at the menu, which, in my opinion, is priced too highly for the servings. $21 for chicken and pasta... in a space that is more suited to to-go offerings? I'll pass, and I say this because, imho, if I am paying for upkeep and maintenance of a place with DECOR and ambiance, the price suits. But not for a stop-in that's suited more for wings or to-go. Aside from that, I noticed dirty tables, and the staff was non-existent at the counter. So, I left and opted for better.

This is a small spot to grab some quick food or sit down but I ordered to go. It's a walk up order and pay station. The machine wasn't working properly if I remember the price wasn't right in the system. I ordered the salmon sliders which were really good. And it came with fries. I would've felt better paying $12-$13 versus $15 because I was still hungry after LOL. Overall great service and food! I would recommend!

Full disclaimer, I have not eaten on-site however, from the pics I have seen, this place looks nice and is a great gathering place for some late night eats you cannot get anywhere else. With that being said, I have ordered their dish called the "Honey" several times on Uber Eats which is a late night favorite when I travel to the Decatur area. The "Honey" is a glazed salmon with basmati rice, veggies and an amazing spicy cream sauce that you need to order extra of every time! I'm sure their service and atmosphere will match the quality of their food! Get the "Honey" with extra cream sauce!!

i ordered off uber eats!! it came pretty fasssst imma hugeeeeee pasta fan & honestly it taste like pasta from cicis pizza ! (BOMBBBBB AS HECK) !! i ordered " The Marley Pasta " and its bussinnn

Food was good but somewhat pricey. Overall good experience nice picnic style table seating.

Heard good things about this place but i guess i went on a bad night. The good: part of my meal was the sweet and spicy chicken wrap. The flavors popped and had just the right amount of sauce on it. The bad: ordered a side of fried shrimp and the mac and cheese bites. The fried shrimp was 6 little pieces of shrimp dipped in oil and over cooked. Seemed like they forgot to dip them in flour/fish fry or anything to give them a fried shrimp texture or look. They just came out like sauté shrimp. And the mac and cheese bites was fried great but it seemed like they used easy mac to make it which made them dry and flavorless. Lastly the fries was soggy and over seasoned. The only thing i would recommend on the menu is wrap.

Late night quality food but the flavor is lacking. Its still a nice late night alternative to the rest of the late night options. If I return I will definitely request more flavor. This place is in a busy shopping center with a good amount of bar/club/lounge options so be prepared for the crowd.

Its a gem in a city with limited late-night options, this place is my personal go to as a reliable and delightful choice. I generally order online for takeout before arriving.

You're drunk it's 2AM and this place is open. I had the salmon sliders and fries and that should have been a good $15 but remember we're in Buckhead so it's $20. The wait time is pretty long since this is one of the only places that stays open this late so prepare to enjoy the crowd that's gathered in the restaurant and parking lot. My food was just okay and I preferred it over Waffle House so it was a pricey win.

Their burger was good. Cajun fries was okay but pretty expensive. $5 for a small side of Cajun fries. Food took a while but hopefully that means it's fresh. Food itself gets 4 star but price and wait time gets 3 star. Located in a plaza so easy parking. Open late which is nice too

If I could eat yo chef everyday I would. The food is beyond amazing. The food is always prepared in a timely manner. The pasta is just to die for, if you need a late night spot definitely pull up and check them out!

Came here with a friend recently. The place was clean and not many people inside. The wait was short. We both ordered the sweet and spicy pasta plain, no protein, with spring rolls. My friend cleaned his plate and so did I. Everything was really fresh. I had to go back and top it off with banana cream pie which was REALLY GOOD. I'll bring my family back so that I can try some more things on the menu.

I found this place through Uber Eats. The salmon sliders are my absolutely favorite. Each time I've ordered from here the food has been consistently good and flavorful.

Nice staff comfortable seating bright nice decor. Went with the beef sliders at their recommendation and it was just not that great. I know this is one item on one random night so I will repeat based on photos and the other reviews, but this visit was not great. Essentially they took a burger and cut it into three slices that did not properly fit the bun and added cheese pico and some mayo sauce. The fries were under cooked and looked different than what I saw in the photos. The burger was over cooked and really not spectacular. I plan to come back to try something different but first attempt was eh.

I ordered the shrimp tacos they only give you 2 little shrimps on each taco taste like you eating lettuce and tortillas and the shrimp was dry and rubbery was not worth the price!! Don't get the tacos I had there pasta before it was good and some wings before it was cool to but tacos was a big disappointment!!

Best food in the late night tip I highly recommend any pastas that they serve. It's best to call and place order before arriving because of the long wait sometimes.

The food is absolutely AMAZING... PERIODT!!! On several occasions I have driven from Downtown Atlanta just for come wings. So yummy

I hate to do this but I need to say... why is there only 4 pcs of shrimp in the whole pasta dish?

I've been to this location 2 times. The food is delicious! I am giving it a 4 star rating because I do believe they could train cashiers on the products they sell. When I asked for a recommendation she didn't know any dishes on the menu and when I showed her pictures on Yelp of the meals, she couldn't tell me what it was. Also this place has NO A/C! It is 90+ degrees outside and you are paying $20+ for a dish to sit inside a restaurant that has uncomfortable benches and no A/C. The restaurant could use some improvements but overall the service is okay!

I came here on a late Saturday night around 1:30 am and there was already a small crowd gathering up. Even with the cornavirus crisis, there was still a small crowd to get their food to go. I ordered the famous Yochefs Burger. It was $12 but definitely worth it. It was very thick and juicy. I loved the special sauce and onions inside of it. It definitely filled me up. It also came with Cajun fries that were just simply amazing. I highly recommend this place your in the Chamblee/Brookhaven/Atlanta area and hungry for some great late night food. I can't wait to come back and try some more different foods.

The food was pretty good, but the wait took forever to get our to go order. It was a bit pricey too for some of their items, but my waffles were nice and fluffy and my friends tacos smelled amazing. Also a plus it's open late!

We walked in and were kindly welcomed by Dawit, who patiently answered all of our questions about the so many tasty choices on the menu, including the option to build your own entree from top to bottom. We settled on the "Honey" and "YoChef Pasta" and both were absolutely delicious!! The YoChef sauce is light and creamy, pairing well with the pasta and rice without being overwhelming. This spot is Black-owned, and open super late every day of the week. This won't be my last time here!

I am very confused. I had their "Fire" chicken sandwich months ago and it was, well... fire. Tonight, I got the same thing and my wife got their burger. This chicken was the toughest piece of chicken I have ever had in my life, full of tendons. It was to the point to where you couldn't rip it apart without using force. My wife's burger was clearly cooked on way too high a flame, because while it was cooked just fine on the inside, the outside was burnt. Like really charred. Neither of us could finish either of these meals and I am not one to not finish food. It is rare that I post a review like this and I really hope this was a bad night, but for almost $40, this is ridiculous. Come on, guys...

$70 down the drain they refused to remake or offer a solution to the problem that they messed up

I was very enamored by this place, at first. I thought - Wow! This looks like a great place with a menu that sets it apart from just about all other restaurants. Then reality set in. I came here with two others last week in the early evening. There was only one other person sitting in the restaurant at the time. The woman at the counter was very helpful answering questions about the food, and offered suggestions that were helpful with selecting which items we wanted. After ordering, we sat at one of the picnic tables inside, and caught up with everything that happened since the last time we were together. The first of our food came out after about 20 minutes. The YoChef Wrap (chicken wrap) came first, but it came with cajun fries instead of the sweet potato fries that were ordered. About 5 minutes later, the Sweet & Spicy Pasta (linguine) and a bottle of cold tap water was brought to us. This is when one of my friends let the server know that she didn't get the sweet potato fries as ordered, and was apologized to and told that they will make it right for her with the correct fries. About 5 minutes later, my meal, YoChef Tibs (beef) was brought to me. About 10 minutes later, the sweet potato fries were brought out. I didn't try the chicken wrap, but my two friends shared it and the linguine, and they both said the wrap was good. I shared the tibs and rice meal, and it was okay. The rice was a little on the dry side, and the beef (cut in cubes) was well done. The beef was marinated and had good flavor, but was chewy. I was offered some "really hot" sauce to try on the meat, but it wasn't even hot to me. Although the linguine was shared between my two friends, they didn't even eat half of it. Nor did they want to take it home. I tried it and it was spicy, but just average. This restaurant is in a strip mall, and one of its selling point is that it's open until 4 am. Many businesses share the free parking lot, and parking spaces are always available. I rate this place 3 stars. I feel that most of the food is overpriced, and the service is slow. This restaurant prides itself on making healthy food for people. I can think of a lot of other restaurants that sell healthy quality food that isn't as expensive, and they bring everyone in groups their food at the same time.

I enjoyed this spot. It's open until 4am on the weekends and beats Waffle House (I get sick of IHOP or Waffle House for late night food). Now this isn't Michelin star food, but for late night food it's superb. You can't go wrong with the wings or the fries here. When you're looking for late night food in Atlanta and the bummy fast-food places won't do, this is your spot!

Don't you get excited when you find a new Gem in the city, will this place is it!!!! I have past by this place several times and never went in even though people told me it was good, but I'm happy I finally tried it. It is spotless in this place (bathroom too) a person with OCD dream lol... it's very casual with picnic style benches and pop art on the walls... when you walk in it doesn't smell like food. The cashier was very helpful and greeted me as soon as I walked in.. she let me taste two signature sauce so she could guide me to the right meal. I had the Marley pasta two days in a row, it is so Gooodddd man... I don't know what's in that sauce but I want a bottle of it. It was topped with a chargrilled salmon.. I would like my salmon medium but it was more welldone. I should've told them that, but all in all my experience was great.. they make all dishes fresh so if your in a rush you should order in advance...

The strawberry shortcake in a jar is by far my most favorite dessert there. It is absolutely delicious! They have others too such as banana crème pie, red velvet and cookies-n-cream which are all homemade locally by Yippee Pie Yay.

New restaurant specializing in healthier food options that is different from its neighbors on Buford Highway. Yo! Chef What's Cooking is the latest restaurant that allows diners to customize their breakfast, lunch, or dinner to their liking. Build your own salad is a common offering in Atlanta, but this restaurant also has build your own pasta, build your own sandwich, and build your own breakfast. If this is overwhelming for you, there are several pre-built salads, sandwiches, and pastas that you can choose from. Vegetables are on display at the front counter and proteins are cooked to order. The seating in the restaurant consists of several long picnic tables that will accommodate medium sized groups. Location/Parking: Yo! Chef What's Cooking? is located at the corner of Clairmont Road and Buford Highway. Turn right from Clairmont Road and the restaurant will be on the right. Aldi's and Burger King are located in the same plaza. There is plenty of parking available in the lot for the plaza. Food: Yo Chef! Salad ($16.00) - I was too lazy to make my own creation, so I picked the Yo Chef! salad. This salad consisted of greens, feta cheese, tomatoes, beets, onion, cucumbers, and a generous portion of salmon. I chose the Italian dressing, but was offered lemon or caesar dressing. The vegetables were fresh. There was plenty of onion, cucumbers, and red beets. I didn't notice too much of the feta cheese. Salmon was good, but could have benefited either from more citrus or more seasoning. I thought the dressing needed more punch too - either more sweetness or zest. The salad has the right ingredients and a very large portion size, but I think the flavor profile could be enhanced more to create a great entree overall. Service: Food is ordered at the counter and brought to the table. The food took about 20 minutes to come out, but the salmon was cooked fresh and served hot. The server was very accommodating and polite. Verdict: Yo! Chef What's Cooking? definitely adds variety to the current selection of restaurants on Buford Highway. Its selling points are its highly customizable entrees that come in different forms (pasta, sandwich, or salad) and that your meal can be extremely healthy. These selling points can justify the entree price here, which is higher than what you'll see on the rest of Buford Highway.

FANTASTIC food, I got the Yochef burger and it was amazing. The atmosphere is strange though, we weren't sure if the place was open. There was also a 50 minute wait for the food which was crazy. Overall, it was great and I plan to come again.

This place is a hidden gem! We came on a weekday evening and the place was almost empty. I got a yo chef wrap and it was $12 - slightly more expensive for a fast food place. But the servers are very nice, and the food was very good! Definitely hit the spot :)

Terrible, the portion of food they give you is equivalent to less then a kids size and poorly seasoned. They gave me 6 pieces of shrimp and put all of my sides together... just really disappointed. Why would they put fried shrimp on wet vegetables.... made my shrimp soggy and spend almost 25 dollars on this. I was livid. 0 out of 10 will never go again.

I've been here about 3-4 times this month already! I am totally in love with cajun shrimp pasta. One of the many FEW places that are actually open late nights to cater to those who party into the morning. The staff is friendly and is always willing to help recommend food if you're stuck between a few items. You can eat there or take it to go. I enjoy the welcoming vibes and the great food! I've been to this place at least 5/6 times and I always get the salmon wrap. The taste has usually been good. The last time I went, which was 2 days ago, the taste was really off and as I opened up the wrap, the salmon was all burnt up... literally black on one side. I had to throw it away. Whoever made it they made sure that it was tucked all the way inside so it can't be seen. It didn't seem like a mistake... When I called in to let them know, granted it was 2 days after, the manager said they wouldn't refund me or make me another one. And the price isn't cheap either... it was around $19/20 after tax. Because they didn't resolve the issue for me professionally, this is the last time I'm going. I hope the owner sees this review as the manager, Leslie, was not helpful and lacked professionalism.

Food was good... lamb chop was amazing with the sauce. I enjoy a good flavorful sauce with mashed potatoes & that's exactly what I got! The chicken was good with the chicken & waffle but the waffle was soggy... My nice had lemon pepper wings & she really enjoyed them! Service was decent. Took awhile to get food so expected everything to be fresh. Definitely will be back. Just know what to & what not to get.

Don't order on Uber eats! I called and made sure they got my order correct as I wanted chicken Alfredo and they still ended up giving me shrimp. Cant eat shrimp so I took the extra precaution. Called and told him they got the order wrong and he goes we plate what was on the ticket. Clearly you don't smart a$$ and then he proceeds to say "what do you want me to do" ... um offer to remake my order correctly! Very horrible experience and pasta didn't look very appetizing anyways!

Quick bite for the win! Yo chef is an awesome takeout restaurant located right around the corner on Buford Hwy near the Chamblee & Brookhaven line. Their top dishes that I'd recommend 1) "The Recovery" a plate of grilled lamb steaks over seasoned rice and sautéed veggies. Works very well with the spicy house-made hot sauce they give you on the side. 2) salmon sliders - soft trio buns sauced up with their signature Yochef aioli sauce,grilled salmon, and seasoned fries. Hands down best snack after a good night out. Best part they are open late on most days and you can order ahead.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. There is nothing good I can say about this restaurant. They lost my order. It took forever for them to cook the meal once they started to prepare it. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told there was no manager on site. Save your time and money and find another restaurant. You will be disappointed if you spend your money here.
