THIS IS A HONEST REVIEW PLZ READ Amenities The amenities at YO1 are top tier. Everything works as it should—whether it’s the spa facilities, wellness areas, or relaxation spaces. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a luxury experience, and it definitely delivers in terms of comfort and functionality. Service / Management The staff here are hardworking, polite, and very accommodating. You can tell they’re doing their best and really care about guests. That said, it’s also clear that management is disconnected. The workers seem to carry the weight while upper management doesn’t put in the same level of effort or attention, which is unfair to the team. Cleanliness Overall, the place is very clean, which is impressive given the size of the property. Some areas could use a little more tending, but considering how massive the resort is, it’s understandable and not a dealbreaker at all. Experience The experience itself is unique. The resort feels eerily empty during the week, which makes you wonder how it will sustain itself long term. That said, the emptiness actually works in your favor—it feels like you have the place to yourself. On weekends, it does pick up and feel livelier, but the quieter stretches during the week can make the stay feel private and almost surreal.

My stay at YO1 Wellness Resort, was genuinely refreshing. The moment I arrived, the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views immediately helped me feel more relaxed. The greenery all around and the calm vibe set the perfect mood to disconnect. The room was spacious, clean. I especially enjoyed catching the sunset from there was such a quiet highlight of my day. The bed was super comfortable, and the overall setup felt premium yet simple perfect for a peaceful getaway. Overall, YO1 isn’t just a place to stay it’s a place where you feel like you’ve taken a meaningful break. The calm, the comfort, and those little moments like the sunset views made it truly special. I’d definitely love to come back !!

We spent a couple of days this past weekend at YO1 and would like to write a candid review of my experiences. First the facility. The resort is in a serene location in the Catskills. It's a peaceful getaway it you want to disconnect from the world for a bit. Even though the outside could use some more maintenance, the inside is spectacular. The spa, the atrium, yoga room and pool are wonderful. The game room was so much fun, especially when you're with friends. Lots of space to hang around when you're in a group. The rooms are very new and bathrooms clean and modern. Now for the food. The breakfast is really good spread with so many options. Plus eating on the deck with a view of the outdoors was a bonus. There are few people eating the other meals so hard for me to comment. To sum it up, I would recommend this resort if you plan to meditate, do yoga and go to the spa. If you're looking for a lot of activity, this is not for you. Also, this could be a lot of fun for large groups.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Yo1 resort the past weekend. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of. Rosa, Suzanne were great with the service. The wellness activities, including meditation sessions and yoga classes, were incredibly rejuvenating. The breakfast spread was delightful, with a variety of healthy and indulgent options to suit every palate. The chef even made some custom dishes on our request. The serene ambiance of the resort made it the perfect getaway for relaxation and self-care. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious yet calming retreat!!

Well let me start by saying this was the worst spa experience ever. I booked the fall special thinking it was going to be a great experience. Well, it was far from that. My wife and I arrived a little before 8 pm. We figured we would miss dinner by we later found out from another staff member that asked on our behalf if they would contact us and ask if we wanted something to go. She was told that someone in the restaurant stated they did contact us and we said we didn't want anything. A complete lie. No one ever contacted us. No staff to offer assistance from the wellness center on any amenities, so we had to find and figure everything out on our own. No juice bar open. Pool and jacuzzi closed except from 10am - 12pm. Infrared Sauna bench broke on us. Steam room not working Too many out of order signs on other amenities while the building was barely occupied. Juices from the restaurant were $16 each and tasted like water. They did not taste fresh. No accupuncture available as part of the deal. Massage was 4 out of 10 for me and 3 out of 10 for my wife. Breakfast was good. Wife's mud scrub was great. Room was nice. With that said, would not go there again and would defintely not recommend.

The experience at YO1 was truly special. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone was polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. You can really feel that they care about your comfort and well-being. The food was one of the highlights of my stay. Each meal was fresh, healthy, and full of flavor. You could tell that a lot of thought goes into preparing food that is not just tasty, but also good for your body and mind. Overall, YO1 is a peaceful place where you can relax, recharge, and be taken care of. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and luxury wellness getaway.

My wife and just returned from a 3 day 2 night stay. The setting was absolutely gorgeous, the rooms were luxurious and the steam shower in the bathroom exquisite. The massages were the best we have had. HOWEVER, the customer service was horrible. They only had 25 guests during our stay and operated on a skeletal crew. The front desk seemed to care less about how we were enjoying our stay or in tending to our concerns. The website stated that we would be able to attend an "unlimited number" of yoga and meditation classes, however they did not offer a single class during our stay. This is a self-proclaimed yoga and meditation luxury resort, yet when we asked about these classes, we were told they were "self-guided." We did not have to spend $1000/night for self-guided meditation. We could have accomplished that at home with YouTube. The food was described as "vegetarian cuisine." The YO 1 commercial airing on the room's TV channel demonstrated quite lavish dishes which were not even close to what was served. For dinner we were given a choice between vegetarian chicken and rice or perogies. We elected for the perogies which were served rock hard because they must have been microwaved too long. The Boutique was closed with had no stock on its shelves, the Wellness Center was empty as was the huge Auditorium and nothing was offered. The hiking trails were a joke. The "short hiking trail" was essentially an asphalt sidewalk winding around the back of the facility. The "long hiking trail" did go into "the woods." This consistent of a mowed grass pathway amongst the surrounding trees and shrubs which had a dead end whereby you reversed course to exit. You never lost site of the facility throughout....hardly breath taking. Although this resort has potential, its being run almost like a scam, filled with empty promises as a lure to capture your money. We were duly duped. I can't help but to believe this is some type of tax shelter and they have no intention of providing what would be expected of a luxury resort.

This place Made us feel like we were in a twilight zone episode where the Shining Hotel and a Dubai Med Spa had a baby! Ghost town with all sorts of oddities that made no sense My family and I stayed at the property on October 30 for one night. There was a terrible misunderstanding on fees, and there was nothing in the language or verbiage in my reservation that suggested that I needed a book per person. I chose a double king bed to accommodate the four of us, and when I arrived at the property, I was informed that it was necessary for me to pay for each additional guest. Not only was I surprised and disappointed at the condition of the property, I was mortified by how the black front desk worker spoke and treated me Me. Completely unprofessional and inarticulate. I was then passed on to the manager Susanna who is very unsympathetic, unprofessional and dismissive. It was obvious that she agreed with us and she even confirmed that she agreed with us, but she kept talking herself in circles. We were running late to our planned event nearby so I gave up arguing and trying to help her understand that the hotel had not properly advertised or communicated it in the language. My bad experience continued through the morning when we arrived in the dining hall. All of the food was cold and labeled with dirty masking tape. My overall experience was overwhelming disappointment!!! From the empty stores and boutiques, to the tea Café staffed by a woman watching a Japanese Spanish show at full volume, to the unsightly repairs, broken light fixtures along the road, and in the parking lot, to the dirty & stained walls and carpets and bizarre music playing-needless to say I was very confused and unsettled. I feel I am entitled to a refund and I plan on posting reviews wherever I can to warn people of how a little attention is paid to Customer Service or standards. At the very least, we had lots of funny stories to tell

Yelp
A fabulous facility here in the beautiful Catskills. My mind , body and spirit were treated to incredibly wonderful Aryuveda therapies that were soothing to my mind and body. Vidyia and Raj at the Wellness Center bent over backwards to give me all the treatments I requested. Their patience and compassion were greatly appreciated. I want to give a big Thanks to my Therapists who made my stay at YO1 so pleasurable. I spent 7 nights with you and will be forever changed by my experience there. Thank you to the front desk staff you were ever so kind. Jeremy, Robert, Jennifer, John and Turgay you were so good to me!( Picky eater) I had Ayurveda treatments that were new to me. I especially loved the Shirodhara and Podikizhi. The Acupuncture was perfect for my aching body and the hot stone massage was a must. I don't know how to express how thankful I was to find this Gem of a Wellness Center. I will be back for sure!

Yelp
YO, what? Stanley Kubrick, eat your heart out. This place is straight out of a horror movie. Came here for lunch, you have to make a reservation to come on the compound. When we told them we were there for lunch the guard was absolutely gobsmacked that someone was actually here for just lunch. Obviously this gave us an uneasy and skeptical feeling but we went forward with optimism. They make you pay for lunch ahead of time and add on a tip before you've even had the service. Total for 2 people for lunch was $108. The meal consisted of a cup of potato soup, a side salad, and 5 microwaved vegetable potstickers as an entree. I could have shopped for this menu for under $20 at a Walmart. And I'm almost certain the potstickers were microwaveable. We were the only ones in the dining hall for quite some time and then two other couples finally showed up. We honestly thought they were a simulation or paid actors. The service was awkward all around, from the guard at the gate, to the agent at the front desk, and then to the waiter. The only normal interaction we had with staff was with the chef. At the desk they told us they were almost fully occupied (133 rooms), there is no way that was true. There were a total of 6 cars on the property and two of them were ours. The lobby bathrooms were ROUGH. Someone urinated all over one toilet and another defecated all over another toilet seat. No one cleaned it up while we were there. While I didn't stay at the hotel and use the other amenities, the filth documented in other reviews is shocking. Overall the property is ominous and lifeless. Something isn't right here.

Yelp
This place was absolutely the most DISTURBING AND disgusting, spooky and bizarre place I have ever set foot in. I will provide proof of everything that I'm claiming. This must have been a school previously. When I went into the spa, the first thing I noticed was that the robes were not clean. The first robe that I got had dirty spots on the neck and the second one had a stain on it. When I was brought back to my massage the massage sheets were absolutely disgustingly filthy, it looked like it was used to clean motor oil. I wouldn't even want to put my dog on it. I am not exaggerating. Please look at the videos. I cannot believe that no one has taken pictures of the filth that is this place. Because this did not happen overnight. I went into the changing room and the changing room looked like a massacre had occurred. There were stains all over the carpet, just look at the evidence. The spa pool was stained and dirty...video with voiceover provided ... This was all so bad that it was actually entertaining. I brought this up to the front desk's attention and they acted like it was just normal, they said well we would just put a towel over the sheets as if that's any better. But the towels were so dirty and stained that I would not even mop my floors with something so grotesque. If you think I'm exaggerating please look at my photos. This place needs to be shut down and redone and fumigated, because did I say there was Ant bait and rat traps all over the floor? Think I'm lying. Look at the pictures. As I am sitting in the front lobby waiting for my refund because there is no way in hell I will sleep in this place, I was sitting down and noticed disgusting and questionable stains on the waiting room sofa. This place cannot be a real place, this has to be a front for something else, because there is no way in hell that any of these reviews are telling the truth if they're saying that this place was clean, or hygienic. This is a BIOHAZARD

Yelp
First, the positives: Beautiful setting and terrific facilities. Great classes and pretty good food. Good (not fabulous) massages. Negatives: So sparsely staffed in every area. No one to assist upon arrival. One beleaguered receptionist. NO staff in wellness center or locker rooms. Needed to wander around and eventually find a robe & towel. NO staff on the treatment floor, waited alone for masseuse to show (late) with no one to ask. Zero pampering. NO water before/after massage - was told there was a water fountain downstairs in fitness center. Every part of my itinerary and bill was incorrect, luckily I had copies on my phone. Place is gigantic and feels empty. Really a shame it is so poorly managed.

Yelp
I was very apprehensive about my stay given the reviews. However, I am so glad I went. I was already resolved to make the best out of the situation, and I was so pleased when the experience turned out to be exactly what I needed. The King room was spacious with a gorgeous view of the lake. The property is simply magnificent. I took multiple daily walks, and spent a lot of time gazing at and reading by the lake, and it was fantastic. The yoga and meditation classes were lovely, with large floor to ceiling windows facing the lake. The pool hot tub, sauna, steam room and cold plunge were eorking, clean and spacious, and frequently I had them to myself. The fresh juices were also great. I did not eat in the restaurant- I'm not a vegetarian, and without a package, the food was pricey for what it was. The only real poor experience that had was with a very rude young male server in the restaurant who, when I ordered a glass of Prosecco for my brunch in my room, said "Wine huh? I guess it's 5 o'clock somewhere". He was clearly confused and thought I was at work instead of him. It almost made me wonder if racial bias played into the scenario. The massages were behind schedule with the therapists also doing check in , and back to back appointments, so the the cracks at Yo1 show in the service. However, as a NYC commuter by bus, I door dashed my meals, and one one evening took a taxi for a dinner out. Thus using the people services as little as possibles, the view and amenities did all of the work and I had a great time. I was there Friday-Monday, and it was the relaxing kid and pet free retreat I needed. Will go back.

Yelp
Do not book a stay here! Unclean and poorly maintained. Food is horrible. It appears to be microwave food. No service whatsoever.

Ra S.

Yelp
understaffed, not at all what they advertise in their website, poor service and food, no housekeeping, pool and jacuzzi not heated, pool over flowing, no lifeguard and not open most of the times, the place is in need of so many repairs, many hygiene violations, hardly a couple of people go there, very pricey, no feedback is taken into consideration, no lights in the hallway, the room keys dont work, the heating in the room does not work, they charge for services that are below par, services not ready when you go to get a service.

Yelp
Had a fun weekend escape for my birthday spent Sunday/Monday with check out on Tuesday! I love the grounds as all the views were breathtaking. I had a few services done including Ayurvedic treatments. The vegan food was amazing & a big shout out to Michael at the front desk & Robert in the restaurant! All the staff were friendly & attentive to all of our needs! I recommend the salt scrub as it left my body feeling so relaxed & soft! I also love, love, love the heated jetted whirlpool in the swimming pool area. We meditated in the meditation & prana rooms & played sound bowls in the activity area of the wellness areas on the ground floor. Our stay was short & the weather was cold for early March but the experience was nice. I recommend asking about tax & gratuity for any of the services so you won't be startled at the end by the bill. We went off season so it wasn't busy but I'm not complaining as it seemed we had the entire place to ourselves! If it had 15 guests there at the same time that was a lot, as I only saw about 4-5 guests. The best feature for me by far was the heated toilet seat in our double king room overlooking Bailey's lake! Love it

Amy C.

Yelp
Sadly. I do not recommend this resort for anything. Totally bizarre and creepy experience. Huge resort with a handful of guests sitting around in complete silence. And not the good kind. The classes are short and uneventful. Amenities are not as described and in disrepair. Food is mediocre. There's a lake but that's it. The manager will not help you or rectify concerns so if you have one , she will ignore your phone calls and is not empowered to assist you anyway. The place has been in foreclosure. I wish I knew that before I booked. Spare yourself. Don't go. Find somewhere worth your time. You deserve better!

Yelp
The three of us came here during slow season in February and had a fantastic time. We took advantage of the yoga and meditation classes, and we did a mud therapy session. The food was mostly vegan and gluten-free with great portions and wonderful, taste, and quality. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious overlooking the lake. The only negatives were that the pool was cold, and the hot tub was not working, but there were saunas in the locker rooms. The tea, café and juice bar reasonably priced.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience here! As part of my birthday gift I treated myself to a night here to get away. The yoga and meditation classes were amazing and I loved the juice bar. I have two small kids so it was nice to experience 24 hours of peace and quiet.

Yelp
TLDR; overpriced for a "resort" that is NOT maintained, has skeleton staff, broken amenities, and an owner who does not care about the guests. My daughter and I came all the way from California expecting a once-in-a-lifetime retreat, but the expectations were far from met. For the very high priced stay, the experience was entirely underwhelming - especially compared to other "top resorts". Upon arrival, we were very disappointed. The resort looked like a ghost town. There was nobody there to greet us or help with bags. There was one woman sitting at the front desk to check us in, however she failed to tell us any pertinent information (namely, the WiFi code, that breakfast was included, the hours for amenities, etc.). I went to bring the bags in, but struggled to open the door while maneuvering the cart in from the frigid winter air. Nobody made any effort to help - the woman at the front desk just sat and watched me struggle, even though there were no other guests waiting in line. Upon arriving to our room, my daughter tried to get on the WiFi for an important work call, at which point we realized that there was no information on how to access the WiFi or even how to call down to reception. My daughter used her phone to go to the website and found a reservations phone number listed there. I called this number, and the reservations agent listed three possible multi-digit extensions for me to try. On the second attempt, I finally got a hold of the woman at the front desk. She told me to come down to the lobby to take a picture of the WiFi code. Seriously? I then asked if it would be possible to get a mini fridge in the room for medicinal purposes. She informed me that it would cost an additional $25 per night, which I agreed to. After waiting an hour, I called back down to remind her that I had requested a mini fridge. Have I mentioned there is nobody else staying at this resort? She told me that she would check to see if there were any available. Excuse me? An hour ago, you had told me you would send one up. Finally, another 20-30 min later, a housekeeper arrived with a mini fridge. At this point, we decided to check out the amenities. We passed through the locker room, where we were appalled to see that FOUR of the seven toilets were "out of order", THREE of the five sinks weren't working, the mineral hot tub heater had broken and was now a "cold tub", and the reception area sign had not been kept up (see attached photos). Needless to say, the place has NOT been maintained. These complaints were just the beginning - the WiFi did not work, the gym equipment was broken (and quite honestly, a safety hazard and liability), the room was never cleaned during our stay, COVID signs have not been taken down, the carpets are stained throughout, the trails are not maintained, there is NO golf course as advertised, and the yoga mats and blankets are not sanitized or cleaned. We later learned that these issues were not a result of us coming during the off-season. The maintenance staff has been fired, there are two housekeepers total on the large property, and there was no manager present for us to speak to. Apparently, the owner was on site, but he refuses to speak to guests. I will say that the few staff on site were quite pleasant, and the Neti Kriya and Gong Immersions were enjoyable. It is horrible to see the potential be completely overthrown by the management and lack of maintenance. We feel taken advantage of. They sell the experience as one thing (with golf courses, fresh juices, hot tubs, and top service), but this is a lie given the current situation.

young v.

Yelp
I can't understand how anyone would give this resort a positive review. We were just there over July 4th and it was a bizarre experience to say the least. Robert in the dining room was very sweet and friendly and did his best to accommodate us when we were dining. Our room was clean - I will give you that but as the other reviewers wrote, the place was in disrepair and most of the services were only being offered on the weekends. It's has a huge spa but nothing seemed to be working the way they should. The food was advertised as vegan and the flavor was mediocre. If you are interested in a quick getaway with amazing services and hospitality, try Glenmere mansion in Chester NY.

Yelp
This is truly a 5 star resort! Actually, it should be 5 diamonds. Every detail in this place was thoughtfully curated. First, the location is perfection. The spa is located next to a beautiful tranquil lake, with lots of geese and wild life roaming around. As soon as you enter the gates, and drive up to the hotel, you're transported to a different reality. The hustle and bustle of everyday life literally fades away in the rear view mirror. The building itself is modern, clean, and very inviting. The facility is super clean and spotless. This place opened in 2018, it's still pretty impressively shiny and new. The rooms are very well designed and induces relaxation and puts you into a very zen state of mind. The grounds of the property have spots designed for meditation, with fire pits, benches, and inviting contemplative spots scattered throughout the property. The main STAR here is the therapeutic treatments. The acupuncture, deep tissue massage...were absolutely ahhhmazing. It's an all inclusive facility, and tip was included in the price of the package, however the massage therapists were so talented, I had to tip them extra. The massage I received was comparable, perhaps even better than, other massages for $250 (plus tip) in NYC. The stand out surprise at this facility? THE FOOD. Full disclosure-I am a carnivore. I was a bit skeptical about eating vegetarian for the entire stay. But the food was GOOD! Really good! The flavors were well balanced, and the freshness of each dish was evident in the crisp, garden fresh vegetables used in every dish. This place is an amazing oasis of relaxation and tranquility, located just 2+ hours from the chaos of NYC. Everyone- every.single.person.living in NYC. should make a trip out here. It'd make people less stressed and maybe a littler nicer. Honestly, this place is a much needed haven from city life. I HIGHLY recommend this place and cannot wait to come back here again!!!

Yelp
My husband and I love the Wellness Resort. It was a peaceful , tranquil experience with amazing , delicious vegetarian food. There were a lot of options to choose from when it comes to choosing the therapist, yoga and meditation classes. The quality care as fantastic and flexible offering help and accomodation when needed. The manager was amazing and extremely helpful. I love that it is holistic and involves around mind, body and spirit total wellness, with beautiful nature, mountains and like-minded individuals to connect and nurioush mind, body and soul. Definitely, we are going back there.

Yelp
Buckle up for a loooooong ride baby! AWFUL all around My fiancé had planned what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway at a very expensive and seemingly luxurious spa. The website is completely inaccurate for what services are provided and shows a very different picture of what the spa actually looks like. He is a combat veteran and was also hoping to enjoy what can be an unfortunately nostalgic weekend doing something a little bit more relaxing than normal. We had treatments at 2 o'clock and 3 o'clock on our first day and were told via email to check in at 1 o'clock. When we came to check in at 1 o'clock we were made to feel like we were too early and that they were going to need to charge us for an early check-in. That was a little offputting right out of the gate. Those treatments for day one were supposed to be "aromatherapy". I'm not entirely sure what was supposed to be aromatic or therapeutic about it... There were no scents in the tub and it was literally just a dark room with a bathtub in it. The Jets were extremely loud. You couldn't even relax. It was very awkward and not the warm cozy treatment you'd think. Almost every amenity was closed or not working. A little museum that looks like some type of attraction or learning feature? Lights off and looks like parts of the museum are broken. The pool? Ice cold with kids splashing around. The hot tub with the pool? Empty of water and not being used. There were hot tubs in both locker rooms, and guess what, they were both cold. Not sure who would come to a Spa to sit in cold water. Not to mention, I don't know why it's advertised on the website that there are joint hot tubs, and joint saunas couples are sitting in when that is not the case. A weekend that was supposed to be spent together all of the treatments, and any other amenity was separate. Even if we wanted to sit in the steam room, I had to do so in a separate locker room. Truthfully, I was not sure how to get the steam room or the sauna to kick on, but there was no one around for me to ask for assistance. I'm not going to wander around in my bathing suit. Looking for a staff member. Not even the juice bar was open at any point during our weekend. The robes and towels provided stunk and were stained yellow around the collar and on the sleeves. Half of the time when you would go to get a fresh towel or a robe there weren't even any in the locker room. It's very hard for me to think that it was because there were so many guests and it was busy because truthfully it was like a ghost town. That actually concerned me with how few guests I saw. I think I saw the same 10 people over the entire course of the weekend. The Website introductory video makes it seem like you are going to get some gourmet, high-end, fresh food. The food was absolutely disgusting, greasy, and it was clearly microwaved. It was so hot on the inside, but mushy and lukewarm on the outside, which is very easily Identified as microwaved crap. We had a stomach ache the entire weekend. Nothing about it was fresh. Even dinner rolls, and the dessert provided were ice cold. We wanted to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and the nice weather but unfortunately, the entire grounds were covered in geese poop. You couldn't walk anywhere around the building without poop all over the sidewalks and the grass. Would have loved to sit in the furniture on our porch in our room, but it was also covered in bird poop and extremely dirty. We did not get to select the time of our treatments. They were selected for us. We were scheduled for massages at 11am and 12pm on the day of check out. We were told upon booking that if we had a treatment late in the day we could have a late check out. When I called the front desk to do so I was told it would be $75 for a late check out. If we were told that ahead of time, I would've made sure that we had massages early in the morning instead of the middle of the day. It would've been nice to go up to the room to shower after my deep tissue massage. Waiting for my massage was very awkward and impersonal. I was honestly not even sure if I was in the right place. The attendant upstairs did not greet, and seemed annoyed when I asked if I needed to check in or do anything prior to my treatment. The deep tissue massage was not deep tissue at all... I was doused in more oil than I've ever been covered in during a massage and did not feel comfortable showering in the locker room afterwards. The locker room did not have towels, the showers were dirty, and most of the toilets were clogged. Over $1000 was spent for 36 hours and it was not even worth $100. It was amazing weather all weekend and I wish we just stayed home and spent quality time together versus at a cold, dreary spa that was overpriced. We couldn't even spend any time together. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY THE PICTURES AND VIDEOS ONLINE ARE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE WHAT YOU WILL SEE OR GET

Yelp
SAVE YOUR MONEY. I keep giving this place another chance because I want them to improve!!!! It was lovely pre-COVID but has gone to disrepair over the years. UNDERSTAFFED is a kind way to say it. It is not clean. MOST OF the services are NOT OPEN. HOT TUB IN POOL not working. No heat. Hot tub in locker was not hot and now a "cold plunge" but not cold enough to be a cold plunge. JUICE bar - not open during weekdays, the TEA BAR snack spot NOT OPEN. ONE yoga class at 8am and not necessarily classes in afternoon unless you get a "bonus class". Shower in our room had hair in the drain and peeled caulking with more than enough rooms available. (They did move us - though). A garbage can in the middle of the elevator hallway to catch rainwater (front desk said that just happened with the rain) looking thru old texts it was there for months. What was once a beautiful water installation in the atrium is filthy. Water looks coffee colored. Front desk staff not very nice at all. Smiled while being insulting and rude. Lies and tried to explain things away. NO WIFI in the rooms and barely any in the hotel and cell service is spotty at best. I couldn't deliver a work project because WiFi was a disaster and lost income because of it. The spa services were not amazing. Besides the locker room smelling like mold and mildew (removing the stained and smelly carpet would help) and no spa attendant and bathroom stalls with signs saying out of order. One massage (booked as hot stone) was good and as expected and the other one booked was supposed to be traditional Swedish but masseuse had their own style (not Swedish) and unfortunately left me with bruises and not as expected at all ($180) but was a nice person and I felt bad saying anything) This was supposed to be a relaxing overnight with daughter and she kept saying "why doesn't anything work here?" The only positives were that the rooms are indeed spacious (if not clean enough) and the food was still yummy vegan and the staff in the restaurant were VERY kind and attentive. The new woman who is working as soa concierge was lovely. She listened to complaints and let me use her office space to try for WiFi. She is a gem. Last time I stayed the during the winter they had no water due to a plumbing issue - I gave the hotel another try. NOT AGAIN.

Yelp
This place is a disaster. It's very poorly run and the facilities are in awful shape. Don't spend your money here. For a wellness resort, you leave feeling more stressed than you started. Let's get into specifics: - there was a leak in our living room. Droplets falling on the couch all day - there were geese everywhere, and if you want a nature walk be prepared for a ton of goose poop - the furnaces have been broken and there's no hot tub - while the pool is theoretically 9-6, you have to get lucky to find it open through those hours - toilet seat had some intense brown stains that looked like fecal matter but we couldn't wipe it off so likely just disconcerting stains - the restaurant is 50 per head for lunch and 120 for dinner for the room. The food was actually solid but not worth that price. - everything throughout the stay felt just a bit off. - there are stains and weird smells everywhere. Overall, it just feels like it hasn't been cared for in 25 years. I will say the yoga classes were nice but that was the only enjoyable part of this trip. It's simply not worth the money.

Yelp
I was a stressed out NYC musician and stumbled upon this place on the internet. Absolutely first rate. Clean, modern, peaceful. Excellent massage, yoga, and vibe. I'm going back .

Yelp
I am dreading writing this review because I'm tired of dealing with this hotel, but I have to warn everyone because I don't want it to happen to you as well. This hotel is a SCAM!!! Yes, a complete scam. As you see in my pictures they have nice entry ways and amenities, right? Wrong! Upon check-in we were given a schedule of unlimited yoga and meditation classes available to all guests. We were thrilled until we show up to the first class to find out they gave us the wrong schedule. We thought ok no big deal let's go get the right one from the front desk. We were given another schedule from a rude desk agent and when we show up to our next class the following morning we find out we were given the wrong schedule AGAIN! Come to find out there was a large number of other people who also got the wrong schedule and when we all went to tell the front desk they weren't able to accommodate additional classes because there was a shortage of yoga teachers and they weren't willing to work with us on a discount or accommodation. We were all told a manager would reach out to us, but no manager ever did. The pool is supposed to open up at 9am, but you're lucky if the lifeguard shows up by 10 to open it. The coffee shop is supposed to be open by 6, but you're lucky if the desk attendant shows up to make it by 7. All of the jacuzzis, steam rooms, and red light saunas were out of service. For someone who's paying their outrageous prices, we expect to be given the correct schedules, be able to get our coffee before our classes, and be able to use the amenities that we saw on your website. Not only were the amenities a loss cause, but the staff is all trained to say we'll have a manager call you but there's never a manager on site to actually talk to anyone. We were speaking with other patrons of the hotel and they all said the front desk kept gaslighting them and saying they're the only guests with an issue, but in reality we all had an issue. This facility has 100s of rooms but there were only about 20 people in the entire hotel on a weekend! They kept telling us the spa services need to be rescheduled without refund and they're full. How are they at capacity in the spa when there's literally only 10% occupied at the hotel of this size!? Lastly, we had to change rooms 3 times because we kept getting locked out of our room. The electric key pads on the door kept dying and locking out personal possessions in the room because they don't have enough customers and don't keep track of the last time they charged the key pads. We literally sat in the lobby in our wet bathing suits for hours every time we were locked out waiting for security. For someone coming only for the weekend, we weren't able experience an ounce of relaxation or pampering due to all these mishaps. The only well run part of this hotel is the experienced vegan chef in the kitchen who actually cares about serving his customers. However, the staff goofs around with each other and doesn't pay attention to cleaning up dirty tables, vacuuming the floors, serving guests at this "luxury resort". Our room had hair everywhere and stains throughout the floor, but we felt absolutely exhausted from the amount of times we had to confront the front desk staff that we just gave up. On our last day, there was a whole group of people refusing to checkout until they got a refund and the "supervisor" was telling them she can't do anything for them and they're causing a scene. We immediately went over to the other customers and comforted them to tell them they're not alone and we got scammed too. How are they charging us when we didn't have access to our room half the time which locked us apart from our personal possessions and we were able to take advantage of the "unlimited classes" bcz of their scheduling error. Please stay away at all costs. We hope this review will save some of the other potential guests from the same thing and hopefully the hotel manager will actually start to call us back and give us the refunds we deserve.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place, but was very disappointed. My friend and I booked a one day stay and had a massage upon arrival. The wellness staff was very sweet and welcoming. Now the massage itself was not worth $180 plus additional fees which brought it to a total around $220. For a wellness resort, I expected the quality and technique to be much better. In regards to the amenities they also lacked in that department. Things were either broken or not present including the jacuzzi, hot tub and steam rooms. They have such a beautiful pool but was freezing cold when you stepped in. How is the only pool in the facility not heated in the middle of winter. I will say I took a yoga class Sunday morning, which was great the instructor was lovely (unlike the meditation class I took the night before). So basically, you're paying for a spacious resort with a nice view that has overpriced and low quality services. Definitely not worth it.

Dave F.

Yelp
Well... we would like to give Yo1 a better review however this establishment is poorly managed and many of the amenities that were advertised were not working. It's also VERY overpriced. In addition to that, I did not notice any handicap parking, not that we were in need of that, and many guests left their vehicles parked overnight in the loading zone. (the hotel seemed to be fine with that).... The services such as massages and consultations, in our opinion were overpriced and not that good, only mediocre. We got the impression that the massage therapist were not licensed as advertised. The consultation was something that we felt could have been gotten online. I hate saying that... The staff had a stressed out demeanour and seemed over worked, with the exception of the yoga classes. Yo1 is advertised as a healing place where you can connect your mind and body. In the spirit of that I must list a few things we liked, the grounds are beautiful and the room was very nice and clean. However as I stated before things like the sauna and hot tub were not working and it appeared as if they were not working for some time and it appeared as if there was no commitment to fixing them any time soon when we asked. The supposedly therapy food menu was as advertised on the night we arrived however that changed the next days as there was a big party that arrived. The menu changed to something less than vegetarian. I suspect I got food poisoning and I ended up in the emergency room the day after we left... The dining areas came off as chaotic and unorganised. In conclusion, we strongly suggest calling ahead to make sure everything is working and in order before you book a stay at this place and make sure there are not any other parties that might disrupt a mind - body connection retreat that Yo1 supposedly offers.

Yelp
We went to Yo1 one last weekend and it was an amazing experience! We were looking for a weekend getaway that was both relaxing and not too far - and this place delivered. The hotel was immaculate and they constantly had staff cleaning. They offered a bunch of classes to choose from (from yoga to meditation to sound healing), a game room, a spa (where we indulged in massages), pre fixe vegetarian dinners, and an incredible breakfast buffet spread. The staff was super nice and very accommodating, especially Michael at the front desk. They offer a nightly movie in their theater, and that night we were the only ones who showed up. Michael was nice enough to oblige our request to change the movie . He was an absolute pleasure to deal with and made our stay that much better. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Great place to come to relax to get away . I had the massage and acupuncture treatment both were really relaxing . They have yoga and meditation sessions and pool/ amenities . I would come back but suggestion is to fix the bikes that were broken and to have later hours for the pool that closes at 6 pm. There is limited staff since I saw this place is going bankrupt. So go with expectation that there will be limited guests and staff . It didn't bother me it was quiet

Yelp
Omg! The worst place ever!!!!!!!Stay away!!Rooms dirty, carpet stained , disgusting chaise, very rude guy in the front desk. Many amenities as you can see on a website but most of them not working/ closed/ or not in use. COMPLETELY WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Yelp
BEWARE!!! This facility is going through foreclosure and you can tell they are saving money at every turn. The grounds and hotel are lovely, but the service was abominable because it is so understaffed. Meals only happen during very limited hours and while they are mostly vegetarian and vegan I wouldn't call them healthy or especially creative. Many are greasy and over-salted. By my second night, my stomach was so upset that I was up all night sick. I suspect I got food poisoning at one of the meals. One night there were only 2 people working dinner. They tried, but it's hard to provide any level of service when you don't have enough staff. In terms of spa services, they were impossible to book because they were so short staffed and even though I booked them two weeks in advance I was told that one was canceled because the therapist didn't show up. Everyone working there seemed frazzled and angry. A few tried to be pleasant but most were either resigned to not being able to help you or actively hostile. It's a nice facility and I'm sure it could be turned into something that more resembles a high-end spa facility, but I wouldn't risk it under the current ownership.

Yelp
Avoid this resort at all costs! I came here this past weekend with my mom and a couple family friends, so we were looking forward to a relaxing girls weekend. We were most excited about the jacuzzi, so we weren't happy when we got there and saw a "This Area Closed" sign. Apparently the main jacuzzi wasn't working, which they should've let us know prior to our trip since this is one of the main amenities that is included when you book their room. There's another jacuzzi in the locker room, but you have to pay for it. We figured they would work with us and allow us to use this jacuzzi just for an hour or 2, since the main one was broken, but they gave us a very difficult time. The lady at the front desk (I can't remember her name, but she had long blonde wavy hair) gave us an attitude the whole time. When we asked to speak directly to the owner, he said he would come meet us at 5pm that day to talk, but he "forgot" and ended up not showing. Talk about some great management. It's disappointing because my parents come here every couple of months and I've been looking for a nice wellness resort to visit with my friends, but we will never come back. Would not have paid so much money for their room if we knew half the facilities would be broken. We even spoke to a few of the other guests staying there, and they were all disappointed as well about the fact that so many facilities were not working. At least send an email to your guests beforehand or compensate another way. I don't recommend this resort at all.

Yelp
So, like many other people, I heard about this spot via Instagram- I probably should have checked more about it on Yelp because this was a great example of how deceiving IG can be. This place has a lot of potential, but there were so many little things and the price point that made it lose stars. For starters, we arrived on a Thursday and there were a lot of things closed or broken. There weren't many classes available, the juice place(s) were closed, and there wasn't communication between the hotel staff and the treatment reservation side. It was also hard to find anyone who worked there, so it was empty and hard to find someone if you had any questions. The space/campus is HUGE! This is definitely where you would want to come if you truly want a refreshing escape - however, there aren't enough staff or people around to help. The sauna's were broken, the pool/jacuzzi in the women's locker room was broken, and it could have been a little cleaner: ie: floors of the yoga room and gym were pretty dusty. The massage and acupuncture weren't the best- the talking/getting to know what pretty cold, wasn't really welcoming, usually spas have people who love wellness and are excited to be there with you- that feeling was not there. The acupuncture and massage rooms also didn't feel the cleanest. I did enjoy the movie night they had, the meals were delicious, and the waiting staff were super nice. The room was great! Huge, beautiful, great bathroom space. Again, the price they charge does not meet the services/expectations. I would like this place to succeed as they really do have so much potential, but if they don't make changes I don't think they will survive much longer.

Yelp
Awful, awful place. I got into a car accident that left me stranded in Monticello. I found this place on Priceline and booked a room there out of pure necessity even though they were charging $500/night. Nowhere on its advertising did it state that children were not allowed. I got to the property with my 10 year old son an hour after I made the reservation and they did not allow us on the property. I repeat, they did not state on Priceline that children were not allowed. In addition, they even state, "free cancellation" for reservations on the date of, which is a complete lie. When I tried to get a refund, they were so incredibly rude, it was shocking- forget just lacking in professionalism- but shocking in a basic human sense. They never gave me my money back. Terrible place. I do not recommend it. Total scam artists. Disgusting.

Yelp
I have never written a review in my life but feel it is important to warn people NOT to stay here, \this is a scam and a huge waste of time and money. I had looked into a few wellness focused places and called YO1 three times to ensure I understood what the place was about - food options, classes, facilities, and so on. When I signed up, I purposely did not go for a package as I don't typically eat three full meals a day, and confirmed with the person I spoke to that there were meditation/yoga classes every day, which is the main reason I was going. I also confirmed that I could order a la carte at the restaurant, and the person I spoke with also went on and on about how there is a juice bar, café, and places I could get food since I wasn't doing the package. It became clear from the moment I stepped into the "resort" that the hotel was not as advertised. It was run down, dingy, and only one person at the main desk who didn't seem to know much about the place. Once I arrived at my room, I noticed the furniture had stains on it. I immediately went to the front desk and asked if I could speak to a manager and they told me that someone would get in touch later. I told them I wanted to check out the next morning and would have left earlier but needed to arrange transportation. I also told the spa I wasn't planning on staying but they said I hadn't canceled my massage 24 hours in advance so they would charge me anyway, and that I had no options. I was still trying to make the best of it and went to the restaurant where they informed me I was not able to order a la carte, and would have to pay $50-60 for lunch/dinner if I wanted to eat there. On top of that, the juice bar and café weren't even open. The person I booked with knew I was coming on weekdays and still told me I could order a la carte, and there were plenty of food options on site. This was not true and I ended up having to get delivery. I was so disappointed by the experience and just ready to leave, but thought I would at least try one meditation class before I left on Tues. When I got there, there was no class. An employee who told me guests get upset because they advertise a ton of things on the site that they don't really offer, such as classes. Once I realized this is a reoccurring issue, I realized the management doesn't care about customers and really is just doing whatever they can to charge your credit card as much as they can. I was not able to do a single class in the one day/night I was there and once I realized the class was not even happening, asked to speak to a manager. A manager told me on Tues that she was very sorry and wanted to make it right, and would call/email by Wed to discuss charges and how they could make the experience right, before I wrote a review. I called Wed afternoon and the person on the other line said the manager refused to speak. I had to insist they send me an invoice and am disputing the charges with my credit card company but asked the person on the other line why the manager had promised to call/email on Wed, and was now refusing to speak. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never had a manager be apologetic and say they want to make it right, and the next day, refuse to speak on the phone. The cab that picked me up said that it wasn't the first time he has picked someone up from there who had a terrible experience, and that it had really gone downhill. Not only was the entire place run down and nothing like the photos on the site, people I spoke with flat out lied about food options, class schedule, and so much more. I was shocked that after only saying the day before that she would contact me the next day, the manager refused to speak. I had been looking forward to this time off for a long time, had spoken to people at YO1 before booking, and really think this place is a total scam. I would never stay here again and even though I have never written a review before in my life, felt compelled to warn people so they don't spend their hard earned money and free time on such a scam of a place.

Yelp
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! If I could I would leave 0 stars. I chose to book a weekend stay for me and my wife for her birthday thinking it would be a nice relaxing escape. Based on their advertising it seems like a state of the art wellness center but we soon found out that it is a fake and false advertising. The facility is huge and understaffed and not well maintained (many things are "out of order"). No room service at all?!? Cant bring up food and they don't even clean the room! We had to call and even then they only brought us towels and even after we asked them to clean the waste basket they left smelly garbage behind! What am I paying for? At breakfast we find out that the orange juice is served from a box? You call yourself a wellness center and pride your self on your healthy meals but can't provide fresh squeezed OJ!? We signed up for a Henna session and waited 25 minutes in a room as instructed and no one ever showed up! Worst of all I had booked a couples message for my wife's birthday and when we arrive we are told there was an error made and that the time slot is not available. We are offered a later time but we had to leave to drive home so it didn't work for us and when we asked to speak to a manager we were told they were in a meeting and directed to speak to the receptionist who was rude and accused us of lying!!! The most unprofessional staff! TO SUMMARIZE: This place is pretending to be something they are not. They have no respect for their guest time. It is unnecessarily expensive, understaffed, poorly managed, and unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes.

Yelp
It took me a while to write this review! I want to start off to say that as a solo traveler celebrating a milestone birthday and I needed a well deserved break from everything and everyone. This is a good location and easy to get to. The food is superb and tasteful! I'm not a vegan nor a vegetarian, however, I was pleased with the menu, especially breakfast! The fresh pressed juices every day was an added treat. The beds were extremely comfy and clean! I always appreciate accommodations with bathrobes and slippers. The room was very spacious and I had a wonderful view of lake. Now for the not so nice part of my review. I chose the Restoration Package which cost me almost $1.700 for a weekend . The therapies were good. However, I was duped into taking a Paraffin body wax to replace one of my other therapies. I was scheduled to take one of my therapies to at was included in my package. I asked specifically if it could be replaced and was told absolutely! When I was checking out, the receptionist with the Russian accent told me that she would email me the receipt instead of giving me a paper copy. I insisted on getting a paper copy and to my surprise I was charged over $300 for the Paraffin Body wax, even though I was told that I could swap it out for the other one that I didn't get. When I asked for a refund of the one that I didn't take, I was told that since it was in the package they could not give me the difference!!! I left there feeling angry and annoyed. Little did they know that I am a travel advisor and plan solo and wellness trip for my clients. I also write reviews and make recommendations. If they would have honored and adjusted my therapy, I would have sent clients there in droves! But they missed out and was being greedy. Next time, I will take myself and my business elsewhere and go out east!!!

Yelp
My two daughters and I stayed here this weekend, it is my second time coming. Lovely atmosphere and great treatments. For the price of the resort, the rooms were set up for 2 people instead of 3. There was also not as many activities to do right now in the Spring than there was in the summer. It just seems that they didn't feel like being accommodating since there wasn't as many people at the resort, even though we are paying the same prices. Our biggest complaint was the juices from the juice bar were $12.60, this ridiculous price wasn't even advertised. Not only that, but when we got juices after checking out they told us the prices of the juices were $15 each at the front desk. Is this Erwhon?!?! The supervisor with the horrible highlights and caked on makeup was extremely rude. I would also say the products were not high end for the price of the resort. All in all, we had a good time because of the lovely staff that were there. Get rid of the supervisor and up the products a bit and it would be a great resort!

Yelp
This place is absolutely disgusting. The first room they put me in had hair all over the floor of the shower, I would have just washed it away and dealt with it but then when I got out of the shower I realized there was no air conditioning working in the room. I called the front desk the staff member there was an absolute misery to deal with she could be the most nasty customer disservice employee I have ever dealt with. She grudgingly switched rooms and put me in a room that was even dirtier than the first the entire couch is stained and covered in hair as the pictures will show. There is hair quite literally all over the couch and floor in the living room area, this place is probably one of the more disgusting places I've stayed in recent time and I would strongly recommend staying as far away from this place as possible do not get sucked in to the fake reviews. To add to this the next day when calling to request the manager absolute refusal to contact them in any way shape or form, and a completely terrible attitude from the employee who I asked. This place is an actual joke all of that namaste bullsh0*t is exactly that

Guest Y.

Yelp
Do not go here. It is a scam. Absolutely nothing is functional. The company filed for bankruptcy last year and is continuing to accept reservations to offset costs. Stay away. You will not receive a refund once they have your credit card information even if none of the services promised are provided!!!.

Yelp
Such a lovely place but wayyy overpriced for upstate Monticello. I expected it to be much busier then it was, the place was a ghost town...hardly any other guests and what appeared to be half a dozen employees running such a huge operation.

Yelp
I wanted to update my review as I am extending my stay here for further exploration. I am discovering a sense of real inner peace here and learning to meditate again. I've always been an over exerciser and have neglected to do proper stretching and meditation. I am enjoying the quiet of this place. The staff has been overwhelmingly supportive and I'm finding there are several different programs available. I also found the juice bar and the detox program. This is exactly the place I've been searching for. Since Covid happened my balance has been disrupted I found that disconnecting from bad habits were more difficult, my drinking, occasional smoking again. All the things that were easily tossed aside became way more difficult if you are struggling to get your balance back this is the place to come, but you need more than a few days even if you're just looking for a rest, you'll find that.

Yelp
This company claims that the food is vegan but it isnt. As one of the former chefs i have pictures videos and proof that nothing here is vegan. The sliced breads have eggs and whole milk. All the raviolis except for the real vegan vegetable ravioli is not vegan. The pierogies that they have on the menu are Mrs. T's brand. The executive chef will lie straight to your face and ive seen it first hand. The stay for the rooms are over priced. The hot tub doesnt work. The pool is ice cold because the heating element is broken. Half of the saunas are broken or not working. Theres a roach problem. The rooms for the stay there are dirty half the time. The sous chef sticks his fingers in everything and never washes his hands. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy And thats being 100% honest.

Yelp
Please believe every negative review written. I wish I had. The ropes and towels were stained. Much of the equipment was broken and many of the amenities were closed off. Old tea bags left in the room. Breakfast Food was very poor quality and at times inedible. Be aware and research this place carefully. The service and quality have changed quite a bit post Covid.

Yelp
I truly want to thank every single employee there that I met over the BEST weekend getaway at YO1: Lena, Kaylan, Robert, Jamica, "Chef", Torguy, Lauren, Jessica, and staff!!! (sorry If I misspelled any names!) Everyone went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we had a great stay! I mean I have never had such service not even at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan or the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills! The facility was SO CLEAN! The amenities were endless! They had top of the line rooms that were so spacious and a great place to relax in! We had a room that over looked the private lake and a trail. JUST STANDING IN YOUR ROOM IS PEACEFUL! They provided French soap, shampoo, conditioner, scrub bar, and lotion (this is important for me as I am very picky as to what I put on my skin!). The bathroom had a double sink, the shower was HUGE!! MY FAVORITE- the tea bar in your room!!! Every morning I woke up and made myself a tea with the electric tea kettle and also a couple hours before bed! I was in heaven!!! MY HUSBAND DID NOT DO ANY WORK FOR 2 DAYS!! FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE! THANKS TO YO1!!!! I used the jacuzzi, the sauna, steam room, massage, facial and the pool- All of which was so clean and so great!!!!!!! Went to the gym and they had top of the line treadmills, gym equipment, and towel service! They had bicycle rentals so you can ride on the trail by the lake! The gym was AMAZING!!!! It overlooked the lake and it was so perfect!!! Big glass windows! It was a great view to enjoy while running! After my work out I would head to the juice bar and enjoy a freshly made juice drink (I think I got the Hydr8 and the green cleanse!) They had amazing Vegan food for breakfast lunch and dinner ( with the exception of eggs! Thank god!) They had a party for the staff and guests for the 4th or July weekend!! Had a DJ (GREAT MUSIC!) everyone was dancing! BBQ!!! And they provided our very own PRIVATE FIRE WORK SHOW OVERLOOKING THE LAKE!!!! We had no idea that they were throwing this! The whole place was relaxing and peaceful! Whether you were in the lobby, in your room, outside, in the hallway, the locker room... The great part is that they make sure that the facility is not over-crowded so that they are able to fully accommodate you to the fullest! Thank you for everything! We will see you again soon!!! Yelp
I am a customer who just stayed there. The property is brand new and on the historic Kutsher estate, which is gorgeous. Main pros: 1. Immaculately clean. Brand new facilities. 2. No crowds. 3. Hardware is top notch and compare favorable with Spa Castle, etc. 4. Steam shower 5. Smart bidet 6. food is amazing. 7. Very quiet 8. Close to NY 9. Huge pool 10. Beautiful outdoors Cons: 1. Software needs upgrade: small details like clock time not adjusted, sprinkler needs to be fixed 2. *big one*: decor is bland and corporate, which they can fix by taking things directly from India--given the resort is owned by an Indian billionaire. 3. Ayurveda is a great concept but the menu is cluttered and hard to use 4. Services are understaffed, which is fair enough as there are objectively few guests 5. All inclusive option is overpriced and present few value add, with day by day room with a much lower daily rate. They should just be honest and advertise that. 6. I can see how they got a bunch of negative reviews because the facility is huge and objectively understaffed due to low volume, so it's inevitable that service snafus happen. 7. Marketing material needs work is not well targeted to a NYC audience. 8. Having a city shuttle would greatly enhance accessibility. If you are up for designing your own retreat and can block out the corporate blandness this place is awesome and exactly what I needed. I am hoping that management is reading these reviews and improving because I see it as having a lot of potential.

Yelp
we just spent 3 nights and 4 days at yo1 for my birthday on the 3rd of July. I'm sad to write this review but felt it necessary for future guests to digest our experience. the manager ,Susanna, checked us in and we went to the suite she upgraded us to. a beautiful room BUT filthy! it was so dusty on every surface in the room. the bathroom floor had not been cleaned and we found fresh urine on the floor around the toilet area. the shower clearly had not been sanitized either! Susanna sent up house keeping an hour later and she did a great job sanitizing the bathroom. I had already dusted the entire two room suite. we had a fabulous dinner prepared by chief John. back to the room to shower and lock away our valuables for the night... the safe didn't work. called the front desk and they sent uo security.. they never arrived! went to shower and found the bath towels under the sink, rolled beautifully below the sink.. all were soaked and I found both sinks leaking profusely onto the towels. called the front desk again and was told the security was new and didn't know hoe to unlock the safe. AND, the sinks would be looked at in the morning. requested a key to an adjacent room with we got but that too didn't open and it wasn't even bolted down to a surface. the next day the safe got fixed after I called to remind them it didn't work. the sinks were supposedly fixed BUT... not... they continued to leak so we moved the towels to the floor so they would not get soaked. the jacuzzi didn't work in the spa, the pool was closed on the third and fourth, and I was told Susanna was off Saturday Sunday Monday and Tuesday the fourth! on the fifth, we went down to breakfast and the buffet was closed due to only 6 rooms occupied in the entire resort. breakfast was wonder though. the facility is severely understaffed and in disrepair. the staff. woefully short is poorly trained and not supervised. the only manager, Susanna, being absent 90% of our stay was useless.... avoid yo1 at all costs.

Yelp
An adults only spa resort within 2 hours of nyc - Pros Beautiful grounds, clean spacious modern rooms and bathrooms. Even with room rate only, yoga classes are complimentary. The teacher I had for hatha yoga was funny and hands on. Staff was kind and courteous Cons The name of the resort is confusing and hard to remember The perfume or scent in lobby triggered my allergies Bathrooms weren't maintained constantly Wish there were more midday activities

Yelp
Simply incredible--amazing and unforgettable luxury getaway! I had been dreaming of checking out this resort since it opened last year, and was so excited to find an affordable rate to access the hotel and spa services "a la carte" since the 3 day minimum for the all inclusive wellness program did not fit my schedule or my budget. Every inch of this gorgeous property is magnificent--the rooms are spacious and comfortable with luxurious bedding and an unbelievable bathroom (heated toilet seat and bidet, incredible shower)! The pool, the spa, the fitness center are all turn-key. Every piece of equipment is cutting edge, including the complimentary Canondale bikes available for exploring the grounds. Fresh juices, delicious herbal teas are in plentiful supply--I literally felt like a celebrity the entire time. The front desk and wellness staff were so accommodating, answering every question and meeting our every need. I did not in any way feel like a second-class guest because I was not in the wellness program. I had a really amazing Ayurvedic treatment with PJ that worked magic, and in general, I left feeling so relaxed and energized. I can't wait to come back on a day pass or for another spontaneous overnight treat. My only challenge was the lack of good WiFi, but hey, disconnecting is probably part of the relaxation experience! My advice: take advantage of getting a day at YO1 before the rest of the world finds out about this hidden gem. It won't belong before it becomes a popular destination for superstars--totally worth the splurge!!!

Yelp
This review is solely based on customer service. I did not stay at the resort. You will understand shortly. I looked to book something a little special for this coming Valentine's Day. I found YO1 online and checked out the pricing. I saw some of the negative reviews regarding not being able to get services and being charged for things such as water. I contacted YO1 through the form on the website.. I asked such questions as how many treatments could we expect with a 4 night stay and what would the services be. I also asked what other charges there might be so that I would be prepared. Later that evening Elizabeth replied with an email stating that she was connecting me with the wellness professionals who were CCwd on her email. I tried to email the wellness pros, but they would not receive email from anyone who is not in their contacts. I was not concerned about it as I was sure that Elizabeth having CCed them would have made them aware of my questions and my email address. I alerted Elizabeth via email nonetheless to let her know that my email to the wellness pros did not go through. 4 days later and I have not heard back from either the wellness pros nor Elizabeth. I understand that businesses are strained now, but the package that I would have purchased was not inexpensive. How about a quick email answering my 3 or 4 simple questions!!! Very unprofessional customer service. Glad I asked questions instead of proceeding through the booking process.

Yelp
B-e-a-u-tiful resort. Stayed here while attending a concert at Bethel Woods. By far the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The whole ambiance is astounding. Greeted warmly by everyone who I came in contact with. One nuance is the surrounding area around the hotel is not equally as beautiful. Driving the last few miles to the resort was almost enough to scare me not to check-in. However, I'm so glad I did.
