Best Road Trip Restaurants From Miami, Florida | Eater Miami

"Even the Amish and Mennonite communities found allure in Florida, making the tiny town of Pinecraft (in Sarasota) their winter home. At Yoder’s, diners enjoy Amish-style cooking, including biscuits, potato cakes, fried chicken, and a hearty assortment of homemade pies. Head to the marketplace next door and purchase fruits and vegetables and jams and jellies to take home." - Alona Martinez

Holy Sausage Gravy! What a treat to visit Yoder's Restaurant to start the day. We enjoyed the Amish Potato Skillet with sausage, pancakes with bacon, and buttermilk biscuit with sausage gravy. Portions were big enough to take home. The coffee was locally roasted and delicious. Staff was friendly and provided excellent service, including sharing their own menu favorites. We could come back a dozen times and try something new each trip. And don't forget to leave room for pie! We left with our bellies and hearts full, having felt right at home by the family-style dining, welcoming atmosphere and the friendly experience of sharing in a bit of Amish and Mennonite culture.

Visiting Yoder’s Restaurant brought back so many fond memories of the Amish cooking I’ve experienced in Lancaster, PA. This amazing Amish restaurant truly lives up to its reputation. From the moment we walked in, the aroma of home-style cooking filled the air, and there was a consistent flow of happy customers—always a good sign! The service was outstanding. Despite how busy they were, the staff was quick to accommodate and made us feel welcome right away. As for the food—wow. There were so many hearty, comforting options to choose from. The garlic grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and chicken tenders were all perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. And you must try the apple butter—it’s the kind of homemade touch that elevates everything. Now for the desserts—what a treat! The strawberry and coconut pies were absolutely amazing, bursting with fresh flavor. With so many dessert options, it was hard to choose, but each one looked as fresh as the next. All in all, Yoder’s is a gem. Whether you’re there for a full meal or just dessert, you’ll leave full, happy, and planning your next visit. Great job to the entire team!

Absolutely worth the stop. I had been seeing this place on TV and stuff forever and I finally got a chance to stop through Sarasota and I mean the food was great. Nice quality. Everything was better than anywhere else. The waitress was great overall a very good place to eat and everybody’s food beside me just looked absolutely Amazing. The food almost won, but I was able to eat it all. And the pies and the desserts are amazing also

I would drive from Tampa for the pie! We had the fried chicken and the meatloaf Manhattan. Wow the serving size was enough for two on each order. Food was tasty and hit the spot. We were stuffed but needed to try the pies, so we opted for the pie flight that lets you try three of the cream pies. Our choices were the coconut, peanut butter chocolate, and butterscotch. My favorite was the coconut. My wife loved the butterscotch. But all three were amazing.

I feel as if I was transported to Pennsylvania when we visited this restaurant. And I loved it! I had liver and onions for the first time in a long time and it was great! You have a choice of 2 sides from a selection of many and from what I could see on orders passing through, they looked excellent. Good size portions as well. Service was great (Lori) and fast! Trying to decide wasn't easy with all the options. I guess we will have to go back again! Also ordered a peach pie to take home. Can't wait to try that!

HUGE portions and everything tastes amazing!! Fresh bread, Cole slaw, fried chicken, shepherd’s pie, fish & chips, chicken tenders, French fries, peanut butter cream pie etc. etc. not a single complaint. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the gift shop next door is cute with lots of variety. I was so busy looking at everything that I forgot to take pictures there. 10/10 highly recommend! 😊

This is true old southern food. You will love the at home atmosphere. Such a beautiful culture-rich in beauty and rooted in faith. And amazing food

Yelp
We took a day trip down here from Jacksonville, FL and dined yesterday. It was just OK. I had high hopes as were originally from western PA where there are many Amish communities that I've visited frequently. The food here is nothing compared to original Amish food. My husband and I ordered the fried chicken with 2 sides. The chicken was really dry and had no flavor/seasoning. The Amish noodles were also very bland. Our kids had macaroni and cheese, which was pretty good/had decent flavor. Overall, it was all at least edible. Unfortunately, our waiter, Jon, was absolutely miserable. You could tell Jon did not want to be there. At first I assumed it was due to our children (being children but not in an unbearable way), but it started from the moment we sat down until we left. I noticed he was like this with the other tables he was waiting on, too. We were extremely uncomfortable dining here due to this (I mean it was really off putting/weird). When leaving, we grabbed some cookies to go. These were supposedly fresh, however, this was not the case. They tasted as if they've been sitting out for several days and very stale. This was the same situation over at their new market as well. I did want to note that the host who sat us was very friendly. I wish I noticed his name to praise his service.

Yelp
MUST STOP in Sarasota! We live here year round and have been coming here for years and years. BEST PIES EVER! Worth standing in line for at Thanksgiving! This is a very quaint restaurant and the service.is always terrific. Long lines are the norm, but it moves fast. Hubby ordered Grilled chicken sandwich w/ broccoli cheddar soup and okra. I ordered my favorite- the veggie plate w/ mashed potatoes/brown gravy, Amish noodles and buttered corn. All meals come with homemade bread.

Yelp
Hello Yelpers! So Yoder's is a place that you go to with family. We ordered the fried chicken dinners. Homemade mashed potatoes and stuffing with gravy. Like what's not to love about this comfort food? The staff are young people very eager to please. Very casual atmosphere as well. If you are looking for a friendly smile and a home style cooked meal Yoder's is a good choice.

Yelp
Love their pies to death! Found the fried chicken to be a bit bland and not very crunchy. The mac and cheese was the best part of lunch. I'll probably just stick to their pies going forward. The pecan pie is amazing along with the peanutbutter cream pie.

Yelp
Comfy, casual, reassuring-that covers the decor and the dining choices. They're dishing up heaping helpings of nostalgia-and people are lined up out the door for it. I hadn't been to the restaurant (there's also a cute store, in a separate building) for at least 15 years-maybe 20. It's remarkably unchanged inside. There are so many booths and tables-and they are always busy-but it doesn't feel cramped and the sweet servers don't rush you. They're kind and efficient. The menu is full of classic choices-very homespun. The chicken is a big favorite. You can order bread and dinner rolls as a starter-and there's apple butter right on the table. We arrived as a party of three at 11:30 am on a Saturday (January 2024) and waited about 15 minutes. Breakfast was over, so I went with the fish and chips. It came with cole slaw, but I'm not a mayonnaise girl. They don't do substitutions for the slaw, so I just skipped it. Honestly, you didn't need anything else-it was already a generous portion. My friends both ordered chicken and mashed potatoes and had a bunch of leftovers to take home. (They came prepared-and brought a cooler) They also took home cookies and a slice of pie. There were so many yummy-looking baked goods at the check out-it was hard to resist-but I did. (There's also a walk-up window for takeout orders) If you're hungry for yesteryear (that word seems so appropriate here), this is the place. There's parking out front, but it's busy-try the lot on the side-much more parking-and much less hectic. Cozy up!

Yelp
Expect long lines to be seated when snow birds around. And ALL Parties need to be there, otherwise you will not give you the seat. The food was good. I got their famous fried chicken with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. My friend wasn't satisfied with the chicken pie unfortunately. They have daily special so make sure you check it. They are popular for their pie but I was craving for cheesecake for the last couple of days and their strawberry cheesecake of course not disappointed! Will surely come back to try their pies. Sweet pies. Service was excellent, they keep checking on us. I guess because they need us to leave faster since they were busy. And the food comes out quickly. When I arrived and queue to get seated, they were even longer line for people to check out / pay but I didn't need to wait when it was my turn to check out. Be aware of non cash fee. I am so used to pay with credit card but they charge 3% if you don't pay with cash. Who carry cash these days? Oops! This is Mennonite/Amish restaurant so yes they do pay with cash I guess. And I enjoy the atmosphere of the place so homey setting.

Yelp
Last time we were here was FOUR years ago!!!! This place simply never disappoints. I was looking forward to breakfast but turns out they stop serving breakfast at 11. Regardless, their lunch was equally as delicious. My friend got a cup of their special soup- broccoli cheddar. It was delicious, hearty, and creamy. Perfect for a simple cracker crumb top. We all opted for the shrimp and grits. The grits themselves were made with plenty of savory Gouda. This dish was incredible. As always, great portions. We all had leftovers! Highly recommend a dash of choloula to compliment the cheesy goodness. Shrimps were blackened slightly and grilled to the outside perfect crisp. The tails were still on...so I guess that was the only thing I found a little odd. OBVIOUSLY, you must come to yoders ready for dessert AKA PIE!! We left some room and opted for a slice of key lime and a slice of the pumpkin cheesecake. The homemade whip stole a major part of the success. So creamy and thick it was kinda like ice cream. We ordered some fresh strawberries to dip and it was like heaven. The mint fresh brewed tea was also very tasty. I was able to ask for 1/2 cut of sweet to unsweet! Service is always stellar. Our server gave me a to go cup for my bottomless tea. She checked on us often and had a great translator on all the "MMMMs" and "MHMMMs" we gave when she asked us how our meal was going. Always a MUST when in Sarasota. From locals to visitors alike, this is a must!

Yelp
I used to live in Ohio, near what we called Amish country, so I have eaten at Yoder's there. This restaurant is so much smaller and didn't have the buffet I had anticipated. Four of us were seated in a booth which was extremely small, with little leg room. The menu is what you would expect, chicken, turkey, meatloaf, with great sides liked mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, corn, etc. Our server was very friendly and quickly brought our drinks. Once she took our order, she brought fresh bread. I settled on 2 pieces of white meat fried chicken, mashed potatoes with no gravy and Mac and cheese. We waited a very long time for food. People that arrived after us were served before us, which we thought odd, considering they ordered chicken too. My two piece white meat (for which there was an extra charge for all white meat) was a wing and a breast, I don't understand how a wing is white meat. Besides that, this wing was all bones. The mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were very good, as was the chicken breast. All in all, decent food, but not in a hurry to return.

Yelp
First time I have been to an Amish restaurant in Sarasota. This restaurant has been in Sarasota for around 50 years. I've been to excellent Amish restaurants in Lancaster PA many times. Yoder's does not compare. The food is mediocre at best. One of the dishes we had for lunch was a turkey platter. The turkey meat was stringy and had a funky taste and the gravy was very salty. I had the meatloaf and potato pancakes which was good. The amount of food to price ration was not great either. Restaurant looks like it didn't change in 50 years which is a good thing if you like retro style. Service was excellent but I can't get over the low quality of the food and will not return. They seem to cater to a much older crowd with no taste buds.

Yelp
I was the last of my extended family to eat at Yoder's and boy, was it hyped up. I was super excited to dine here albeit for lunch vice breakfast. We came at an odd hour, around 1:30pm, but still had a wait. My mom and I both had the pulled pork . It was super tender and a very large portion. My toddler ate about half of her giant grilled cheese sandwich plus fries which was a win in my book. We also brought home key lime pie which was so creamy and the whipped cream was perfect! Our server was really nice and friendly. The atmosphere is very homey and reminds me of Eat 'n Park (just a little). We also shopped in the market. I was told this new location is smaller than the previous iteration. We bought a couple of chocolate cake slices and WOW the frosting was incredibly creamy and rich! It's nice they offer the most popular items on the menu in the market ready made to go. Parking is unfortunately an issue here. We had a situation where two trucks were blocking the way through with their beds and neither would move, which left us waiting over five minutes for one of them to voluntarily move.

Yelp
Sorry for the late review. We are here back in January with friends who live in Sarasota, we were visiting from NC. I used to live in Michigan and we had a very famous Amish restaurant in Frankenmuth. So, we were excited when our friends brought us here for dinner. I ordered the fried chicken, but my friend talked me into the half chicken meal. Oh My God !, What a huge plate of fried chicken, with fries and cole slaw. DELICIOUS !!! Definitely couldn't eat it all, lol. Staff was very friendly! We can't wait to return to Sarasota to eat here again !

Yelp
Pie Day Everyday should be Pie Day at Yoder's, they offer a huge selection of homemade pies, but today was special. It is the day before Thanksgiving and the place was crazy busy with people picking up their pre-ordered pies. I think you could even get pies you didn't pre-order. There were boxes and boxes of pies around, and lines of people even before 9am when we arrived. My granddaughter and I stopped in for breakfast, and pie, and had a most wonderful time. Parking was very busy but there were people directing traffic and we easily got a space. We bypassed any outdoor pie pickup line and stepped inside the restaurant. There is sometimes a line inside but not when we arrived and we were shown to a table. Our server was hustling around on this busy breakfast morning but didn't miss a beat with us. She was really really good. We got our order in, for me it was their Sausage, Onion & Colby Jack Cheese Omelette. I forgot to time how long the food took but it didn't seem very long. My omelette was large and very good. It contained a good portion of meat and cheese and came with also good home fries. That, plus toast that I topped with apple butter from a squeeze bottle on the table, was more than enough food. But was it? This was the real Pie Day, and I picked this spot specifically to tempt my granddaughter with pie for breakfast. She got a slice of Apple Crumb, mine was Cherry. We stopped in, ate good, and checked out the touristy things offered on the property including a visit to their gift shop. With another stuff animal in hand, we agreed we had a wonderful visit.

Yelp
Picked up some chocolate whoopie pie, apple bread and some chocolate donuts. It was very fresh And was delicious. We didn't eat there just grabbed the goodies to go. I would go back.

Yelp
First and foremost the service and servers are great. Friendly and helpful and stay on top of things. It's a nice place some booths and tables and "community" tables to share I'm guessing when they get busy. While their an Amish Restaurant it's different then the ones we were used to in the Pennsylvania Dutch country. It can get noisy at times but not over the top where you can't hear anyone at your table. The menu has some Amish specials and one of a kind items that make them famous. Our food was "ok", nothing special we would say. The fried chicken was good, but lacked any type of seasoning. The Amish noodles very bland but the chicken stuffing with gravy as a side was good. The roast beef was tasty and so were the seasoned apples. The Mac & Cheese was over done and very pasty. We skipped dessert so no idea on how their pies turned out.
google avatar

Kate L.

Yelp
Food is a bit better than average; but desserts, baked goods, pie is very yummy. Tons of food. Plenty to share. Worth a try for sure. Great service.
google avatar

Valerie R.

Yelp
Yoders is a favorite of ours. Great comfort food and wonderful people. Haven't had anything bad here. I always get the large fried chicken order so I have some to take home. Save room for pie. This place can have a line going in and it's worth the wait. Mullet parking lot - it's small out front but lots in the rear. Enjoy your meal.
google avatar

Allen Y.

Yelp
Amish family-owned restaurant and a Sarasota staple. Pros - very friendly and quick service. Huge portions with delicious sides. The fried okra, buttered corn, potato pancake, mashed potatoes, and meatloaf are amazing. The fried chicken is so juicy but could use a little more salt and crispiness Cons - none! Great place for classic home-cooked comfort food. Definitely take a pie home. You won't regret it!

Salvatore S.

Yelp
The food was ok but I was disturbed by a family next to me and there daughter had huge lips and looked weird all of there kids were dead silent but ok food
google avatar

Terri T.

Yelp
I'm have been wanting to go to this Amish restaurant for long time I finally got to check it out. This place has been around almost 50 years the inside of the restaurant is very cozy and the service is wonderful. I ordered the small size turkey dinner which comes with stuffing and one side. I was a little disappointed with the turkey instead of getting sliced meat the meat was shredded and topped with a lot of thick gravy. The meat was very stringy and very salty. The pies looked delicious so we brought a slice of Shoefly pie at the market to go it was delicious with its sweet molasses filling and crumb topping. They also have a nice gift shop which had nice assortment homemade jellies.

Yelp
What an incredible find in Sarasota... We ended up here because our first choice of dinner location had not quite opened. This was the second choice, so it was up to the plate and they hit a homerun with us - out of the park. We knew there was something about this place as we were eating early to make a movie and the parking was already packed at 4:30 pm. After no wait for a table we were sat down in what is a very homey restaurant with a very homey ambiance. It was just relaxing and comfortable to be inside. Our waitress was superb - being our first time here, she was extremely patient with all our questions - not only of the menu, but of the place itself, she was a joy to talk to as well. For dinner, my wife had their mixed, fried, half-chicken dinner, where I chose the meatloaf meal - both selections were massive servings we could not finish - though we tried as it was all delicious. I really liked the Amish noodles and the potato cakes - those were special. The draw to this place is apparently their pies - a whole selection of fruit and cream pies that were very difficult to choose one from, but we did and, wow, was it good. My wife had their peanut butter chocolate cream pie, while I chose the butterscotch. Again, massive pieces we couldn't finish - but took back to where we were staying for a late-night snack. If I lived in Sarasota, I would definitely use this place as the location to bring out-of-town friends - it's that good and special.

Yelp
Food is all good Amish cooking Easy access from. I 76 exit on Fruitville road. Sit down great family place

Yelp
This place is a jewel!! If you want a home cooked meal, RUN to Yoder's!!! What a nice surprise this place was to me. We stopped in on a whim and found Yoder's to be quaint, their menu was fantastic and the service was excellent. I ordered their Cobb Salad - best salad I've ever had, hands down. Husband had half of a chicken and he said that was excellent. We will definitely be back for more. They will need to expand soon. Place was packed. They also have a bakery and gift shop. The bakery is loaded with lots of goodies that you must have. Can't say enough good things about Yoder's.
google avatar

Diane H.

Yelp
Lord, the amount of food you get here is sinful, lol. All home made and delicious. My party had fried chicken, meatloaf and garlic chicken. The baked apples were insane. I could eat them every day. The line is out the door for a good reason!

Mary A.

Yelp
The food is not home cooked! I had fried okra and it was rubbery must of been around awhile! The country fried steak was as something I could get frozen and pop in microwave. The pies they are known for are $30 plus a pie. The gift shop all I could do is shake my head at the high prices.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
How cute is this place! Old school, bring you back to the basics of cooking. Amish potato cakes are not like German, I was surprised. Where the apple sauce! The prime beef sandwich was tasty and as others have said, the portions are huge! Chopped beef fed us for lunch and dinner! Fried chicken was crisp and perfect. We used the takeout window and table and chairs on a side deck. The restaurant had a line around the building and was hot on the inside. Ok for today, it was a cool February in Florida. Took home peanut pie, shoofly pie, and some bars (3 for 10) from the bakery next door. Also grabbed a frozen chicken pot pie. The market has fresh fruit, food, cheese, butter specialty sodas and some other delights (apple butter!)! You should not miss a trip here
google avatar

Dee M.

Yelp
We ordered the fried chicken, which was absolutely fabulous. Mine came with a side of chicken stuffing and Amish noodles. Never having had chicken stuffing before I was pleasantly surprised. It was great. Just enough seasoning with a chicken flavor. Their version of Amish noodles had plenty of chunks of chicken in it, which made it flavorful and juicy. My SO really enjoyed his sides too. Our service was excellent if not our seating arrangements. I am unsure why they would ever put a round table for four right next to the entrance to the bathroom. Strangely enough both bathrooms are in the hallway where they're cutting the pies. So not only do you have 10 or 12 people walking back-and-forth hitting the table as they go to the bathroom, but all of the waitstaff comes out of this little hallway. Our count was 20 people walking with 4 bumps AND a soda dropped on the floor next to my ankle. I think this place would get 5 stars if they removed this badly placed table. So 4 stars it is because the great food was worth the visit.

Yelp
Great food! Nice little restaurant to eat with great homestyle cooking! Whether you want to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Yoders is a great place to eat!

Yelp
I was visiting a friend in Gulfport, so we hopped over to Sarasota to try Yoder's Restaurant. There was also a gift shop and a market. We stood in line and waited for a table nearly 20 minutes. You know the food is good when a restaurant is busy. And we could tell they're busy nonstop from open to close. Even the pick up window had a line. Our server was pleasant and checked in on us frequently. I ordered the smoked barbecue chicken with green beans, mac and cheese and Texas toast. And I used their homemade barbecue sauce for dipping, which I highly recommend. Wowza, this chicken was so good! The smoked flavor was everything, plus it was juicy. You could tell the green beans had been cooked for a long time, which I appreciated. And the mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. For dessert, I had the pie trio. I chose chocolate, coconut and banana cream pies. If you love pie, the trio is the way to go! They were served in mini clear cups with the crust on the bottom, pie filling in the middle, topped with whipped cream. I'm not even a huge pie person, but I knew the Amish would not disappoint. My favorite was coconut with banana cream coming in second and chocolate last. Don't get me wrong, I loved them all, but in this order. And don't forget to check out the gift shop. I purchased some natural body lotion and loved it! The smell was great, and it made my hands soft. We also stopped by the market and purchased strawberries and tomatoes. The produce almost looked fake because it's high quality. Yoder's is worth a special trip if you are in the Tampa area. Don't miss out on all the Amish goodies!
google avatar

Lindsey T.

Yelp
Food was all really tasty and our waitress was very sweet. I chose the fried chicken and thought it was some of the best I had ever had. We drove over an hour to visit for lunch and our whole party agreed that it was well worth the trip. I'm still regretting not bringing some apple butter home with me. I'll grab some on our next visit for sure.

Yelp
In truth I wanted to go to a different place but we just traveled an hour and a half to meet our son who also traveled the same distance to meet us half way as he was only in town for the night checking on a job site and heading back to NC the next day. I will put it to you this way, it was like going to a friends house for dinner but his Mom can't cook. Everything was bad in all honesty I wish I could say differently but it was disappointing. At least I got to see my son for a little while.

Julie B.

Yelp
This place has awesome staff and delicious food. The server was very attentive. We got the Tuesday special. Everything was tasty. Old Florida cafe ambiance.
google avatar

Tracy C.

Yelp
This place is ridiculously good. They have homemade baked goods. While making conversation I learned they made 9000 pies for Thanksgiving this year out of their little kitchen. They have great home cooking and daily specials. The food is very hearty and filling. If you are in this area definitely go check it out and grab yourself some apple butter! They have it on the table and I kept squirting it onto pieces of muffin to then shove in my mouth. I'm pretty sure I gained 8 lb in one meal. Not everyone who works there is Amish; we met an ex- teacher from Ohio who chatted us up and gave us all of the best places to go around the area. We still have to go back for the siesta beach drum circle! Friendly and terrific, I wish more places like this existed!
google avatar

Dave L.

Yelp
Broasted "Fried" Chicken. That says it all. It is delicious, and the only thing I might recommend more is the Strawberry bread. Oh my gosh it was so good!!! I bought some to take home with me and I need more! They are doing something really right with bread and chicken. I also tried the chicken pot pie one night and that was worthy as well. The service is friendly and it's a very comfortable homey atmosphere. Well done Yoders.

L L.

Yelp
The service at Yoders is great. I wish the food was a little better. My chicken seemed not very fresh. The meatloaf a little plain. I had pie here before and it also was better. Not much crust and the pudding seemed gritty. A bit disappointing.
google avatar

Sheila H.

Yelp
One of my favorite comfort food places. This is authentic amish food. Homemade mac and cheese, homemade mashed potatoes. And the best homemade pies and cakes ever! This is the best time of the year to go for their pumpkin dessert selections. The ambience is like being in someone's home. It's a very popular restaurant so expect to wait, but it's worth. Friendly service.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Fresh squeezed orange juice. Decadent cinnamon roll. Although we started breakfast with that, we were all full after sharing it with three of us. Ordered the famous blueberry pancake, the veggie skillet and a bacon. Excuse me and egg and cheese croissants. All outstanding.

Yelp
Disappointed with pie and food. We were looking to have a dinner similar to those days in northern Indiana. I got the roast beef Manhattan and my wife the Friday special. Gravy was not very favorable. Beef was tender. The fresh peach pie and banana cream pie were lots of whip cream and not much filling in the banana cream. We ended up going down the street for another piece of pie that was much better. Restaurant was busy even during the summer so must be doing something well. Service was friendly and attentive thus the 3 stars.

Yelp
Decided to head to Sarasota and check out the food scene in the Pinecraft Amish enclave there. My first stop had to be Yoders and I was not disappointed. Everyone working there has big smiles and big personalities. My sever, Maria, was extremely friendly and helpful. I was undecided about either the meatloaf or the roast beef and ended up going for the roast beef with Marias helpful advice. I couldn't have been happier. A very large portion of tender shredded beef covered in a rich brown beef gravy, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese and chicken stuffing with chicken gravy. Prior to that a huge bowl of ham and bean soup and to end this amazing feast, very generous slice of chocolate cream pie. I couldn't finish this, regardless of how much I wanted to. The portions are amazing and Maria happily provided me containers to take everything to go. If you're hungry and want great food and really nice people, then Yoder's is the place for you.

Yelp
Very underwhelmed by the food. The waitress was nice but she forgot my coffee and my son's bread. The chili was just ok and the chicken salad sandwich was nothing special. My husband said his fried chicken was lukewarm and mashed potatoes had a couple of bites of something crunchy. He did say the ranch dressing for the salad was tasty. Our son did not care for the goulash special. Maybe I should have tried the pie but didn't want to spend $7 since I wasn't having good luck (got 2 bear claws and a cookie at Publix since I was sure that would be good and cost about the same). I know this place has a lot of good reviews..maybe I just hit it on a bad day.

Yelp
Went for breakfast on NY's day. We were seated immediately at about 9:30 am. Hostess and servers were very pleasant and service was great. I got the blueberry stuffed French toast and it was very good but not the best I've ever had- it was actually 2 pieces of what tasted like good white bread stuffed with cream cheese and blueberry pie filling, cooked like French toast and covered with powdered sugar. Husband got the omelet with sausage and cheese and he liked it a lot- it was huge and came with home fries and toast. Coffee was good. Prices were very reasonable. Didn't get pie but they looked great. Would return.

Yelp
My wife and I were excited to try Yoder's but were very disappointed! We will never return. The waitress was nice, but our meal was terrible. We each had a meal with 2 sides, a side salad, iced tea to drink and a piece of pie. Our bill was $90!!! My wife had chicken livers which came with stuffing and fries. The stuffing was just a scope of wet bread. I had roast turkey with dressing mashed potatoes and green beans. The turkey was a pile of little pieces of turkey like you find after carving a turkey. No slice of white meat turkey breast. The potatoes tasted like instant potatoes and the green beans were tasteless right out of a can. The iced tea was the best part of the meal. The pie was ok but the crust was extremely salt. Such a disappointment! I would recommend going up the road to eat at Der Dutchman for a real "Amish" meal. Much better food, far less money, all you can eat!

Yelp
We stop by here to grab a few slices to go whenever we are in the area. On this occasion, we decided to try their breakfast. The line was a little long, but one thing we noticed when we were sat was that they turn those tables around quick. We didn't wait long to be seated. I ordered the Southwest omelette and my friend had the oatmeal. She loved her oatmeal. I thought my meal was pretty standard. It was good. The portion sizes were huge and the food came out so fast. We like the old time inspired decor. Our server was really nice and the tables and seating areas always stayed clean. If you are planning on going, don't let the line discourage you. When we were done, I went to the to go window and ordered some pie to take home to family. They loved it of course.

Yelp
Great food. Generous portions. Small and quaint diner atmosphere but could use a little freshening up. Friendly service.

Yelp
Cute little roadside Greek diner. Food was awesome. The owner made her rounds to make sure everyone in the place was happy. Very friendly and inviting place and people. We met some ex-locals who still vacation in the area and visit this eatery. In an area where it's tough to find a good eatery this place rocks

Yelp
My family stopped here before heading to the beach. We all enjoyed the food. I specifically really enjoyed the French fries. I'm not sure why, but they were just super good. The fried chicken was delicious as well. My mom said that the coleslaw was smack your mama good. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean. It has a casual atmosphere. If you are in the area, definitely stop by. There is also a cute little shop next door.

Yelp
This is a restaurant that is consistently excellent in all aspects. I go there often for the best comfort food in Florida (IM O) I recommend anything on the menu followed by a slice of wonderful home made pie or even better take a whole one home. The restaurant is warm and cozy staff are more than pleasing and pleasant. Can get a little crowded but don't let that stop you from a unique and rare experience. Bon Aperitif.
