Olivia is an amazing bartender, she’s always attentive and makes great drinks. Their food is incredible, I LOVE their asada tacos and the Violetta. I always have to visit when I’m in town, it’s such a great vibe. The inside is pretty and has a nice aesthetic. I wish I had a picture of the asada tacos before I absolutely destroyed them.

Google
Food was amazing and authentic!! Wait and bar staff very well attentive!! Very impressed, even from someone from Acapulco!! Great job YOLA!!

Google
My only complaint was that this restaurant looks really dirty. The white/black tile floor looks like it has never ever been cleaned, and the round lights above the bar are filthy and dusty. Who knows what the kitchen looked like? Over the food was pretty good, but it just needs a good cleaning.

I am extremely biased when it comes to Mexican food but when I tell you this is extremely good Mexican I don’t lie. I litterly orgasmed with every fiber of my body, just buckets from how amazing the food was. My body was in full ecstasy , shout out to chef and staff , I’m gonna go smoke a stogey and relax on the beach ILL BE BACK FOR MORE

Google
Nice restaurant with Amazing food and customer service. Went two days in a row while working in CC. Both evening the service was excellent. Abby was our service the first night recommended the nachos and they were soooo good. We had the enchiladas verdes and carne asada tacos with an espresso martini. The second night we had Alise as our waitress. Again greeted with a smile and excellent service! We tried the nachos again! They just as delicious as the first night. Then had Tinga tacos and poblano soup. Really the nachos are a meal in itself! Thanks ladies again for excellent service and to the chef thanks for the wonderful food!

My husband and I just moved to the area and are looking for "our place." We came here and WOW! It was great! The service was fast and friendly! The food was amazing, with flavors we had never tried. The drinks were spot on! We will definitely be repeat customers.

Overall: This is a great place to get nice food and drinks. This place has so much potential and id love to see it packed on a Saturday night. I love going out for drinks and this place will be on our rotation from now on. Atmosphere: My bf and I came here on a Saturday night around 9:15 pm. For most of the meal, we were the only people there. It’s a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful and well stocked bar. It was kind of awkward halfway through the meal because they turned off the music and it added to the fact that no one was there. I was confused because I thought they were closed and we were overstaying our time because of it. We wanted to get another round of drinks but we elected to leave because it was awkward. Service: Jayden was our server tonight. She was so kind and knowledgeable of the menu. I appreciated that she took the time to explain everything to us and showed genuine enthusiasm for the dishes and drinks. They offer Acquia Panna as their water which is always a good sign in a restaurant, especially since corpus tap water is horrible. Drinks: Fantastic and a great value!! For the quality, drinks are so affordable. Not pictured, but we also go the mole Manhattan. They served it with a Luxardo cherry so that was a great sign. It featured mole bitters which added a nice spice flavor (maybe star anise or cinnamon) to the drink. Pineapple pisco was delicious. It had a good amount of alcohol and it wasn’t too sweet. It was the second time I had pisco and the sourness of the pineapple and the egg white foam complemented it well. About $10 - $15 a drink. We moved here from Dallas and this establishment was comparable to some of the places we frequent (like Paradiso but cheaper lol). This bar alone should be keeping the place packed at night but for whatever reason, this isn’t the case. Our server explained that this area is a residential area with an older population but that shouldn’t matter because Corpus Christi is small to begin with so it’s not like people would have to drive far to get here. Perhaps people don’t know about it? Or maybe cocktail bars aren’t popular here? Food: food was delicious! Jayden recommended the Queso fundido to us which was excellent. The salsas it came with were great and had a good spice level. Agua chile had a beautiful presentation. I do wish the shrimp had absorbed more of the flavor of the liquid. Robalo was so good! I love a whole fried fish and I’m so glad we ordered this. It was more than enough to share. They only gave us 2 corn tortillas with it though so next time I hope they offer a few more. The carnations as decorations were kind of unnecessary though. We will be back and I hope next time this place will be packed as it should be!

Yelp
Food is good af ! Martinis were perfect service was special and ladies were knowledgeable

Yelp
The food was amazing. Creative and whimsical. Taking Mexican cuisine to a higher level. They say we eat with our eyes first. Well we enjoyed the plating and it sure did resonate with how good everything tasted. Coming from a boarder town, I have a picky sense of what Mexican food should look like and taste. This meal did not disappoint us. Hats off to the chef and to the owners. They are making our ancestors proud.

Yelp
A lovely setting! I had the enfrijolados, and as someone who's half Costa Rican, I eat vegetarian beans, and these were flavorful. They also have beans with pork if you prefer (which I unfortunately tasted on my first trip despite specifically asking for vegetarian beans--make sure to repeat yourself if you have dietary preferences). Their rice also contains chicken stock, so keep that in mind too if you're vegetarian. I decided to give this restaurant a second chance and I'm glad I did because the staff is genuinely kind. However, I had to lower the number of stars for service because serving someone meat after they very specifically request vegetarian food is bad service. While my first meal which I didn't eat completely once I found the pork bacon - was comped, I don't want a free meal--I want my food prepared correctly, and I want the restaurant to pay attention to all requests, whether for allergies or other dietary needs. You know why? Getting a meal right isn't just a courtesy--it's essential, especially if someone has an allergy. If honoring requests is too much, restaurants should be upfront instead of serving food incorrectly. Todo bien. We can eat elsewhere. I gave them a 2nd chance and my meal was prepared vegetarian - that was nice - thank you! I must tell you they serve an interesting tres leches cake - the first I've ever had with NO leche! It's more of a DRY tres leches cake with no condensed milk sauce, just whipped cream served alongside it. It's paired with warm pineapple and strawberries. I enjoyed it dry, and it's certainly a lighter option with fewer calories. See my picture for reference. The staff is nice both over the phone and in person. If you believe in supporting local as I do - YOLA is an option.

Yelp
Amazing play was headed to Post but saw this place and decided to give it a try. I am sure glad I did. Shrimp and chorizo quesadillas were amazing and the three salsas were all good couldn't pick a favorite. Great ambience and amazing service.

Yelp
This was an amazing restaurant! Everything was super tasty, the tortas and the flautas in specific. The service was top notch, they ensure we always had what we needed and we felt comfortable. Also, the drinks were super good. Sad to see that there were not more people in the place, but still, the music and atmosphere was great!

Yelp
What an awesome little find! In town for business and was totally craving some authentic Mexican food. Yolas was the spot. Started off with the guacamole and an order of the bacon wrapped jalapeños. Holy moly were the jalapeños good. Like really really good! The guacamole was awesome as well. For my entree, I went with the Birria with tortillas. This was flavorful and delicious. The place had a nice bar and drink menu, and fun casual atmosphere. My server was delightful and checked on me often. If I'm back in town I'm certainly coming back.

Nancy D.

Yelp
Laura Rios is very nice. However I ordered the bacon wrapped Jalepeno and asked that the bacon be well done but it was 1/2 charcoal and half raw. Eww! The salad was not much and the beef fajitas my hubby got had a weird soft rubbery consistency and he thought it was a tofu mix of some sort. They did give us complimentary guacamole. However mt husband doesn't like any kind of avocado. The drinks were delicious not from a mix! Fresh! I don't know if we will come back! It was cinco de mayo thought it would be livelier more music and specials

Yelp
My GF and I wanted to try a different place for brunch after church! We decided to give it a go after countless times of seeing the restaurant. We ordered the chilaquiles and the Birria tacos on corn tortillas. For an appetizer we had the queso fundido! Absolutely blown away by the flavors and the presentation of our food. The price point was on par with the taste and size of portions. Our waiter Nik, very attentive, and honestly the most down to earth human being. Gave us time and information about the menu. Had knowledge about everything I asked regarding the food and menu. His consistent approach of checking in and making sure we were doing well without being so saturating was great! Overall I think we found our new brunch spot. Excited to try the other entrees YOLA has to offer!

Yelp
We came in a little after 4 pm on a Friday. We ordered the queso fundido with chorizo. It was interesting that we only got three tortillas with it. We asked for a few more to finish off the fundido, they came out hot and fresh. I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes with refried black beans and rice. It was very tasty, but not as heat hot that I would like. The chicken inside lacked flavor, but the verdes sauce, cilantro and onions helped it. My wife ordered the tortilla soup with chicken. It was too spicy for her, so we had to order beef quesadillas for her. She loved them. Brandon was very helpful explaining the menu options that we had, and offered very good service. Overall ambience and vibe of the place is good. The glass globes in the bar area cloudy and dusty and in need of attention. The men's restroom was clean and well stocked, but the floor needs to be mopped. Our overall experience was very good. When I received the bill I saw we were charged $3.00 extra for the additional tortillas we asked for. Hmmmm I felt that was a little over the top. It would have been nice to be informed that we would be charged for additional. Did not feel the ones that came with the appetizer was adequate. One other thing I noticed was there is a sign posted "Please wait to be Seated". but there were several that came in after us that needed to seat themselves. "Alert" last couple that came in and seated themselves left w/o being served.

Yelp
First, yola is a 5 star restaurant, but this review is for the chilaquiles. Hopefully this and the one other review on yelp (none on Google maps) that mentions chilaquiles will inspire a change in the recipe. Stopped here for Sunday breakfast and the service was great as usual. I was on a mission to try the chilaquiles, which I've just recently discovered for myself because of trip to Arizona where it is popular. I've now had chilaquiles at 4 restaurants, and have made it for myself after watching several videos. So, I'm not an expert. While primarily composed of tortillas and salsa, something magical happens when combining those things together in pan with epazote and then topping with eggs, protein, queso/ crema, and cilantro to make chilaquiles. It's more than the sum of its parts. Unfortunately, there was no magic in the chilaquiles at Yola. I'm not an expert, so I don't know why we didn't have any chemistry, but there was no cheese, cilantro, protein, and I'm guessing no epazote. Or maybe is was the chips not being combined with the salasa in a pan. Or maybe they started with chips rather than tortillas? Only Yola knows. What I know is that this is the first chilaquiles that I would neither order nor recommend even though the price was under $10. What do I recommend at Yola? Just about everything else I've had is great. Breakfast tacos, birria, enchiladas, guacamole, etc

Yelp
I visited Yola Cocina Mexicana with family for dinner recently. We started dinner with an order of Chicharron y Salsa. The chicharrones were tender and juicy with a lightly crisp outside. The pairing of salsas were flavorful and lightly spicy. For my entrée I had the Birria Tacos. The tacos were savory, lightly crisp and filled with moist juicy beef and gooey cheese. I also had an Horchata which was a little disappointing. The drink was watery and warm but it did have a hint of cinnamon flavor. Overall, we had a nice experience.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Very authentic Mexican, not Tex-Mex. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Not your run of the mill taqueria. Nice cozy and classy setting. Very chill and tasty food. Good drinks. Service was prompt and attentive. Took my leftovers and my kid wolf them down and said it was delicious. Lol Worth a try and would go again!

Courtnie R.

Yelp
Delicious food! We got takeout, but the restaurant set up looks so cute. Can't wait to go back.

Linda J.

Yelp
The food served was obviously several days past its prime. The shrimp diablo arrived burnt and the ceviche several days old. The shrimp was rubbery and the cucumbers and even radishes were translucent. Mot returning.

Yelp
I was excited to eat here for the second time, first was in November, we had a party of about 15 and we mostly had every kind of appetizer and everything was amazing, this time (January 29,2025),we had a party of 5 for my birthday and we had a couple of apps and each ordered an entree. Both of the chicken enchiladas dinners, two different recipes were dry and flavorless, the rice tasted only of cumin, the beans were mostly beanless, the apps were enjoyable. My redsnapper was uneatabable because there were huge bones in every bite, had to send it back, got grilled shrimp instead, it was dry and flavorless, no sauce was provided. It was a VERY disappointing birthday dinner. Service was good, atmosphere was nice.

Yelp
What in the WHAT?! Eating this food makes me feel like I've never eaten Mexican food before. I'm about to start crying right now the food is so good. I'm writing and deleting bc everything I'm writing sounds too trite for this food. Don't be an asshole, just eat here.

Yelp
Great food and vibe. Best cocina in Corpus Christi. The food is always great and the decor looks amazing. Everyone is welcoming and very friendly. First class service

MJ E.

Yelp
Undercooked crunchy rice, dry shredded chicken, dry carnitas, bland charro beans. 1st time and last time there. Better off at a taqueria. Very disappointed
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered birra tacos and they were pretty good, rice and bean portions were extremely small. Our server was friendly but not very attentive.

Valentina B.

Yelp
Came in for late night margaritas. They have the best in all of south Texas. Alyse, the bartender was very attentive and gave great service! We will be back!

Yelp

Yelp
Delicious food !! A great staple in corpus, with all the tex food around town it is great to have a more authentic Mexican restaurant that is so unique and flavor filled. Service is quick and the ambiance is very upscale and modern. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
The food was amazing and our server was fantastic. Salsa was VERY spicy. Made everyone in the restaurant cough a little. We will be back!

Yelp
WOW! I am still trying to get my wits about me!! I ordered the Birria Tacos on flour with Charro beans. Sorry about the Taco with the bite, nah okay I am not sorry. This dish is sooooo good! The birria meat is very well seasoned and I got some tanginess at the end. The birria sauce was not over powering the flavors from the tortilla, meat and cheese. Charlotte beans were not short on flavor. The only thing I was not crazy about was the rice, but quickly forgave it. Do not be in corpus and miss this place. Just sayin!
google avatar

James P.

Yelp
We were staying in Port A and traveled back thru Corpus to head to Houston and found this place. OMG, so good! Almost everything from scratch and very authentic. Plus, they were able to accommodate my wife's food allergies exceptionally well. The atmosphere is modern and feels homie. Staff were great. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Tried to eat here today, but unfortunately this restaurant is so under prepared, understaffed, dirty and short on food and drinks. We received the last of the lemonade for the day. After we placed our whole order an employee came to our table 15 minutes later and told us they didn't have half of what we had ordered. I don't know where the rave reviews are coming from, but this place is not it. Whoever owns/manages it does a terrible job. We arrive here before 12pm today so it was disappointing to leave with a hungry family. Do not recommend.
google avatar

Jamie H.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Price isn't bad. Cute environment. Highly recommend. Everything was great.
google avatar

Lacey P.

Yelp
Solid, not life changing, but good! The birria is definitely the star, the meat is juicy and flavorful. Rice and beans are ok. We also got the guacamole, and it comes with 3 tostadas, and it definitely needs to come with 5-6 of them. Super adorable interior, and surprisingly no wait at 6pm on a Friday. The waiter and bartender were great. Not life-changing Mexican food, but I'd recommend it.
google avatar

Tan S.

Yelp
Food: subpar , not authentic mexican or flavorful Ambience: good Service: very poor. Profiling
google avatar

Mercedes G.

Yelp
Had such a good time. Probably annoyed the bartender and sever a little bit with our annoying group but they were so nice! Very delicious food and drinks
google avatar

Tanya R.

Yelp
Enchiladas Verdes were nice. They were juicy and had a mild but pleasant flavor. The beans were a little lack luster for me. The beef fajitas were fine. However, I ordered and paid for extra tortillas and got none in my pick up order. Wasn't thrilled with that. The Birria was okay. It was what I would expect for birria. Not a stand out, but i wouldn't send it back either. However, I was probably the most surprised with the cuatro leches. Visually - it doesn't look like much. I've seen a lot of deconstructed takes on the cuatro leches, but this was flavorful and really well balanced. I'd order this to go again if I was in the area...but I'd also double check my order to make sure that it was in there.
google avatar

Betsy E.

Yelp
Loved the vibe! Started with a couple cocktails, but can't remember the names. I got the violet gin drink and my husband got the pineapple one. Both were delightful. Very well made. We opted to each get some tacos, mine were the birria and his were the a pastor. Both were delicious, but they forgot the onions on mine which really made the tacos. I knew something was missing, but didn't realize what it was missing till my third and once I added it- much better! Would go back to try more and have another gin cocktail! I'm craving it now!

Yelp
THE FOOD! Was amazing! The drinks were fabulous, very strong. The ambience and music was superb and the service?? Excellent! Will certainly be coming back!

Memo M.

Yelp
Garbage. A single word to describe the food. The service and ambiance is good but when you go to a restaurant you go for the food. It was absolute garbage. It is white washed Mexican food. No seasoning, not even the drinks had flavor. They had to remake a basic limonada three times to get it right. Limonada is three basic ingredients, lemon juice, water, and sugar. If you can't get three ingredients right then you got no business being open. I ordered the $16 birria tacos, the consome was brown water with no flavor. The tacos had no salt or lemon within them and zero flavor. Disgraceful. I do not recommend this place. Stripes Laredo Taco company is better than this place. Save yourself the money. Save yourself the time.

Amber S.

Yelp
This place is beautiful and service is good, but the food was not good. The quality of the food was poor (steak tasted processed like Tyson microwaved and the chicken fajita was not even chicken breast. It was a fatty piece from somewhere else on the chicken). The rice was not good. The margarita was watery and tiny. I was charged $4.00 just to add strawberry flavor to the margarita. Overall, the prices were far too high, and unfortunately, my friend and I both ended up sick to our stomachs after.
google avatar

Kimberly W.

Yelp
I love this place. The drinks were small but great. We ordered mostly everything recommended just to taste it all. We even had Casa Azul. The atmosphere was unique for Corpus.

Yelp
What an amazing surprise!! My wife and I walked into YOLA by chance while visiting from San Antonio and were immediately floored when we saw so many items on the menu that we only see when we visit our home country of México! The food was beyond out expectations and Abbey P's service made it an all around great experience. We'll definitely visit again soon and highly recommend you do too. YOLA es lo mejor en comida Mexicana auténtica con servicio excepcional!!!

Yelp
Took my wife here for our Anniversary. Introduced to Ray, he took care of our mixed drinks. Went over several menu Items to help us make a decision. The Owner David came over and introduced himself. Asked if we had any questions. He was super nice and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. He also sent complimentary shrimp appetizers to the table. We had Pork crackling appetizers, My wife had Enchiladas Mole and I had Tacos Birra. Our Food and experience was amazing. Definitely will be coming back !!!!

Yelp
What a hidden gem! While visiting Corpus Christi for a weekend getaway we found this place and everything was top notch the friendly service, the delicious food and amazing drinks!
google avatar

Dave Y.

Yelp
Atmosphere in this restaurant made you feel welcome and the seats and tables were very comfortable. The displays on the table were very simple, but had everything you need from clean silverware to your choice of sauces and spices and a QR code for the menu where you can keep ordering and bring you as much food as you want. The steak was unbelievable, even though it was served as a fajita green, red, yellow peppers, along with the hot peppers, and the onions brought all the flavors together. Another outstanding place to go. If you're ever in this area, I will definitely return again.

Lorraine W.

Yelp
This upscale Mexican cuisine was absolutely amazing! The decor and ambiance is so inviting. The pricing for both food and cocktails makes the place even more desirable. Our server, Jayden W. was extremely pleasant and helpful when choosing our meal. Always smiling and so polite made our dinner an absolute treat!

Yelp
Fun hip little Mexican food fun.. a little pricey, and I wouldn't come starving; but very good food and service. Ambiance was a 10/10 as well!

Yelp
Amazing food!!! The verde enchiladas had amazing flavor, the carne asada was delish! I cannot say enough about the brisket flauntas! I cannot wait to go back!! 10/10!!! Thank you!!

Yelp
Literally so freaking good!!! Best Mexican food I have ever had, this is a MUST GO!!! it's so cute and aesthetic in there :) Service was great too! They gave us recommendations and were so attentive! Truly a 12/10
