Worst food I’ve ever had in my life. Chicken taste days old. Came in during rush hour which you’d expect the food to be good, considering it’s their busiest time. Greasy, stale, overcooked, bland and unflavored. They pack the plate because they’re trying to get rid of the food. Made them replace my soda for it to be bad twice. Bonus they have an attitude. A whole mall full of food, biggest regret picking them.

Google
The food was delicious! We got bbq chicken and orange chicken with lo mein, and the beef noodle soup. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. The beef noodle soup tasted authentic, and made me want to go to Taiwan again. I was genuinely surprised that you could get food at this level in a mall food court! It's definitely much much better than other Chinese takeout type places. The staff were nice too, which is always a huge plus. I can't wait to try their other dishes. We will definitely be back!

Google
Came here for the beef noodle soup. It's mall food, so expectations were not high. The aroma of the soup was there, but everything else was subpar. Meat was hard, even though it was the right cut of meat, I just couldn't chew it. But the lady gave me a decent amount.

Emma Hsieh

Google
Taiwanese beef noodle soup is good! It's closed to the taste in Taiwan. Noodles may not be the typical one, but the beef and soup are good! It's in food court @ #34 around Chick -fil -a.

Benjamin Yu

Google
Hidden Taiwanese gem in GSP... I highly recommend the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup. (My family is from Taiwan, trust me, it's authentic)

Rachel K

Google
found a dish wash scrubber fiber in the food as picture shown and they don't even say sorry. Plus, the manager spoke something in his language. ( prob bad words.) How disgusting it is? Dirty food and bad service. would not go there again.

David

Google
Was at the mall today and I bought the bbq chicken with rice & veggies. Terrible! The chicken tasted old. Felt sick afterwards.

Ginny Zhu

Google
Beef noodle soup, very typical Taiwan style, large volume of beef and tasty soup with cabbage pickle. It’s the first time we have it after COVID, same taste as before!

Yelp
Taiwanese beef noodle soup is amazing and probably slept on by most of the folks getting the free samples. Kind of crazy you find this inside a mall in jerz

Yelp
3.5 stars. I ordered the pork wonton soup via Uber Eats. They packaged it very well for travel. I was feeling very nauseous today, so the pretty bland broth was perfect. In the future I would like if it came with some options to either spice it up or add a different flavor. Overall it was a filling and tasty bowl of soup.

Yelp
Tried this but it needed more flavor and added the chili garlic sauce packet and some soy to the broth to make it tastier. The duck was meaty but kind of tough. It was garnished with cilantro and scallion and wished it was tastier. Noodles were cooked well. But, overall not good. I was really hungry and it was not a satisfying meal and took a while to prepare. It had promise that didn't deliver. Hope they improve.

Yelp
Legit Chinese/Taiwainese noodle soup at the mall? For real? YES, FOR REAL. Having lived in NYC for many decades, I was very spoiled by my seemingly "next door" access to authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food and, more specifically, noodle soups. On those cold, wintry days, it was my go-to entree and not much can substitute for those hot, tasty broths, noodles and meats. Anyway, for the size of this state, possibly the best Chinese noodle soup served in town might very well be at the mall! Yes, it's going to be a dollar or two overpriced, but beggars absolutely cannot be choosers. Most customers at the mall come here really just for the Americanized Chinese food that is generously served here in gargantuan, fully packed takeout boxes - fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, chicken w/ broccoli, barbecue chicken, General Tso's chicken, etc., etc., etc. However, no offense to Yong Kang Street, but, I wasn't here for any of that greasy food because, honestly, you can get that ANYWHERE. We ended up ordering the Roast Duck Noodle Soup and Wonton Noodle Soup, both of which were actually made to order as I watched the lady put the super duper hot bowl together. The bowl was actually so hot that even 1.5 hours after I got home, the soupy bowl was still piping hot! Anyhow, the noodle soup was surprisingly delicious. The noodles were a bit soft, but the broth was very flavorful without being overly salty. There was some Chinese Broccoli and chopped up scallions in the noodle soups and they really added to the flavor of the entree. The meats were also very good. As we were eating, my question was - where does this place find their duck?!? Because it was pretty good duck meat. We also loved their pork wontons as well. Typically, the wontons served with noodle soups are made with pork and shrimp, but it was just pork here...and, well, it worked! The wontons were very delicious and well put together. Never would I have thought a small mall vendor would serve some of the best noodle soup in the area, but Yong Kang does. Goes to show you that you never know where good food might be hiding, so always give new places a try. As for us, we DEFINITELY found our new noodle soup go to spot.

Yelp
Fellow yelpers, have you ever liked a restaurant so much that you had to a write a review as soon as possible? Or the flip side - have you ever disliked a restaurant so much that you had to write a review as soon as possible? I wrote three other reviews tonight because I did not want to be negative and start the new year off with a 1 star review. This evening, we decided to go out on a limb and order delivery from this restaurant from our favorite delivery app despite its middling reviews, since the pictures looked pretty good and there were a few people that called this place "legit" or "best." I honestly wanted to like this place. When we opened our food, we put in a complaint to our delivery app immediately because we thought the restaurant gave us the wrong buns (we ordered xiao long bao - soup dumplings). But now looking back, I think the buns we got were actually this restaurant's soup dumplings. The skins were way too thick and the meat was beef, not pork - or - at least it looked like beef? And there was no soup in the soup dumplings. We got roast duck with fried rice. There was barely any duck meat in the roast duck. It looked like they cut up the bony parts of the duck in particular and we got the roast duck bones. The wontons - how do you describe the fillings - doughy? Whoever made the fillings definitely put too much cornstarch or flour in it. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup - the noodles themselves tasted grainy, and the soup felt like it had way too much soy sauce. The pepper steak - the meat was way too chewy. We could not bite through it. I did not even know that was possible. We threw away most of the food and ended up heating up some leftovers from lunch and frozen food from our local Asian supermarket. Well, we're never doing that again.

Yelp
Walk by this food stall a couple of times, so figured I'd just get something instead of wondering. I came here specifically for the taiwan style beef noodle soup. It's mall food, so no high expectations. Has the aroma of a traditional beef noodle soup, but everything else is lacking. Meat was hard, couldn't even chew through the pieces, but the lady gave me a good amount. At least I checked off this food court restaurant.

Yelp
The Taiwanese Shredded Chicken Soup is pretty good. If you order to go, you get a bowl with made-to-order noodles, chicken slices, cabbage, and fresh cilantro, and a separate soup container with flavorful broth that's been simmering all day. When I got home, I poured the broth into other bowl and let it sit for a bit. Then I ate. It was pretty good. Broth was tasty, noodles had a good chew, and other ingredients were fresh. For the price and without an alternative nearby, I'd get it again.

Yelp
The Burbon chicken which it's called bbq chicken when ordering is delicious with a bit of that sweet sauce . Please try their wonton soup really delicious and if you ever order the duck it's seasoned beautifully. Don't forget the hot sauce . Service is fast and they let you try before you buy.

Yelp
I really hate to give a negative review because they used to be pretty good -but what happened? Really rude, poor customer service with poor quality Chinese foodI I don't mind rushed - it's a mall and I expect that-but rude customer service is never okay. Ordered food for my kids because they usually like the noodles and general Tso chicken- but it's mostly breading with a boatload of sugar and msg at this point. The beef noodle soup was okay -but now the pieces of beef are a lot smaller and there is way too much fat. I was pretty shocked at how downhill the food quality and service has gone! The women are just rude and the food is now just sugar and salt filled trash.

Yelp
Not bad for Food Court food ‍ Food tasted a little bland but decent. I was more surprised by the range of options they have.
google avatar

Shreya P.

Yelp
Decent asian food in GSP. They give very large portions and lots of meat with each purchase!
google avatar

Yelp
Typical Chinese food court food in Paramus NJ. For Chinese noodles, orange chicken and vegetables at $12 you getting a huge portion, predictable quality and looking for a space to sit on a busy Saturday (the mall is closed on Sunday, still blue laws in Bergen County). Yes, the price went up after COVID and inflation.

Edward L.

Yelp
Best Taiwanese beef noodle in NJ. I've tried all the beef noodle in nj. Eventhough this is not hand drawn noodle, the broth and beef is outstanding. You won't regrade it.
google avatar

Dewan A.

Yelp
The food here is good. 1) You get what you pay for in cost and convenience. 2) The food is premade, so, you will be served within minutes. 3) I got the fried rice with two meats. Which is 12 bucks. 4) They always give samples. It finally worked on me.
google avatar

Yelp
Express Asian food in GSP food court. Standard rice noodles meat and veggies. Definitely big portion for the price. They also offer dumplings and Taiwanese beef noddle (made to order). I recommend the beef noodle.

A L.

Yelp
Beef noodle soup was authentic taste with large chunks of meat, it's a good deal found in Jersey side.
google avatar

Jeff B.

Yelp
Nope. Definitely not worth the price, but there is so much better in other options in this food court. I was actually a bit mad, that's how disappointed I was that I didn't go with something else instead. Just absolutely nothing remarkable about this place. I didn't even feel like finishing it. Took me long enough to get it, and by the time I did, it was just disappointing. My recommendation? Go somewhere else. Sorry, but that's my honest take on this place.

Yelp
I had a long wait and the food was meh, so never again. Half the outlets in the food court are closed but as I walked by I figured I'd give this place a try. I ordered dumplings and was told it would take 10 minutes, so I waited. And waited. And waited. A couple walked up who had ordered noodle soup and the person working on the orders that weren't coming from the steam trays up front took loving care to put together their soups, she packaged them nicely, included everything they needed, and then just walked away. Finally the cashier looks over and says something to her. She walks in the back, gets the dumplings, dumps them into a container and pushes it towards me. No bag, no chop sticks or forks, nothing. Just walks away again. I had to ask the cashier for a bag so I could carry them out (I had a drink and couldn't easily carry both). The cashier obliged and I was on my way. The dumplings are meh at the most. They taste like the cheapest of the frozen dumplings you can pick up in any Asian market freezer. Never again.

Yelp
I really love this place! Their wonton soup is one of my favorites to get (I always add some of the provided sambal oelek to it, too!) The broth is flavorful and they give you a a lot of noodles and dumplings for the price! I've had the Taiwanese beef noodle soup once too which was good (it all depends on your preference for beef vs pork). The broths are simmered all day and the noodles are all cooked fresh to order! I think their other food seems pretty good, too but I'll admit I pretty much only come here for the soup but the samples of chicken I've tried have always been flavorful and fresh-tasting. It's just so hard to resist the soup!

Yelp
I've tried this place a couple of times. As far as mall Chinese food goes, it's not bad. This establishment is located in the food court of Garden State Plaza. I was starving after picking up some items in the mall, and although I usually avoid mall food courts, due to the price gouging, I was in the mood for some mall Chinese food. This place satisfied my hunger. The food is pretty greasy and not the most flavorful, but it's decent and plentiful. I ordered the two choice combo with two side dishes and two main dishes. Both times, I got the lo mein and fried rice as my sides. Also both times, I got two chicken dishes as my main dishes. The chicken dishes and the fried rice were just okay. The chicken dishes, were greasy and the fried rice was pretty dry. But, the lo mein was pretty good. Best of all, the portions are really generous. I also liked that they gave me free samples to try. I ordered two of the samples they gave me.

Y S.

Yelp
The beef noodles soup is very delicious. 4 big chunks of tender beef shank meat with flavorous soup.
google avatar

David Y.

Yelp
The only bowl of Taiwanese Beef Noodles Soup that is claimed to be almost authentic. It is my go to order every time I hit this mall to go shopping. It gives me enough energy to circumnavigate this mall. The beef is melt in the mouth tender. The pickled mustard gives this sour/umami taste to the beefy broth. The mounds of noodles has a very nice chew to it. The chopped Serrano pepper gave a slight heat. The broth I can taste the ginger, star anise and was probably steeped many hours with the beef to give this nice rich taste. The vegetables used are fresh Chinese greens.

Yelp
Been waiting for this place to finally open in the mall food court. And now that it finally has, I'm excited to try all the options! It seems to have opened fairly recently and it certainly stands out because it's brightly lit (giving off a very clean vibe) and tastes fresher than any Chinese food you've ever had in a food court. The employee handing out samples won me over. The General Tso's Chicken didn't taste cheap and overdone. So we gave it a try along with the fried rice. Even the little bits of chicken at the bottom of your dish were actual pieces of chicken and not the super bready parts that aren't enjoyable (yet somehow are... you know what I mean). There were a couple of noodle options available. I'm also looking forward to trying their various noodle soups (Taiwanese style, Hong Kong style, Japanese style). They also have dim sum and smoothies/bubble tea to finish. Priced competitively with similar fast food yet you don't walk away feeling bloated or over salted. Hope it stays this way because then I'll have a new favorite go-to at this mall!

C S.

Yelp
Great fresh food always made well. Best one in the mall in my opinion. Go hit Yong Kang Street the real deal.

Yelp
3 stars for being, "A-Okay." Located inside the 1st floor food court area of the Garden State Mall by the bathrooms is this surprisingly decent quick serve Asian eatery. Authentic Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, jalapeños included. Decent quality cuts and properly cooked beef tendons. Appropriate portion size for the price. The Japanese Tonkasu Ramen is made with the right cuts of pork, though very lightly spiced and the marbling of the pork is quite lean, which is what one should be looking for. Don't be eating Tonkasu if you're looking to spare your figure. The service is like what one would expect of any mall quick service eatery. Nothing rude, but nothing extraordinary either. Overall, a safe bet for authentic tasting Asian food representing their ethnic regions of origins.

Yelp
I should have looked at the reviews first. Even looking at the food and even tasting the general Tsao chicken... i so wanted to give this place a chance. Rare to find a Taiwanese place. At least the name suggest Taiwanese street food. So disappointed! Total opposite of Taiwanese food. Yuck! The bbq chicken which seemed like the safest option is better at 2 other places in the same food court. Sorry, I hope the owner reviews and fixes the food options and quality. The bubble tea tastes so artificial I can't even drink it.
google avatar

Oi W.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised at how good the noodle soups are. Roasted Duck Noodle Soup and Taiwanese Style Beef Noodle Soup so far. The broth for the duck was so clear when they were pouring it into the bowl I was afraid it was going to be flavorless but wow it was so rich and creamy! The beef was so tender and flavorful, even had some pieces of tendons so soft and gelatinous. Will definitely go back to try other stuff.
google avatar

Val V.

Yelp
I tried out this place today. I ordered lo mein and general tso chicken and now I have food poisoning. I will never eat here again.
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
The beef noodle soup was excellent for mall food. The broth was delicious, and the braised beef was tender and flavorful. It was pretty salty, but really not as salty as some of the more famous ones with the same name (in vegas!) I'm not sure if this place is related or they just decided to name the restaurant after the same street. I don't really care as long as the food is good:) The only downside is that the noodles are a bit thin and it's not al dente. But for mall food, I suppose I can overlook that part.
google avatar

Summer C.

Yelp
I pointed out to the employees that there was money at the bottom of the canister holding the forks. They argued back that the forks are in plastic. Since we know viruses can live on surfaces for a long time and cross contamination is an issue, I asked them to just take the money out. They were a bit combative. If they're so combative about this, I can imagine how careless they are behind the scenes.

Raymond B.

Yelp
I ordered from yong Kang street I spent $42.00 and got my order the vegetable egg rolls were OLD AND HARD could not eat them. And they never give you sauce for anything. No duck sauce no dumpling sauce. They take your money and send you garbage. The 3 combo meal was ok and soup also. I hate paying for something that's old and should of been thrown in garbage!!!
google avatar

Liang K.

Yelp
this place made me and my wife very disappointed and will not come anymore we ordered siu may. and it look totally different with the regular siu may. they broiled the siu may instead of steam and the staff told us next time you guys dont buy siu may the picture the show is steamed siu may but they sell broiled garbage siu may totally disappointed with their service !!!!
google avatar

Liz L.

Yelp
If you love chinese/Taiwanese noodle soups like braised beef/duck, this is a great spot to get it! Customer service is very nice and it's fast too!
google avatar

Will Z.

Yelp
Not as good as I imagined. I've been to the YKS in Bridgewater NJ and was impressed by that one. I tried their Tonkatsu ramen, which had no flavor at all. Not impressed. Their service was pretty slow also... The only thing I would say is good is their prices, which are lower than what I'm used to, but that's all.

Paul C.

Yelp
Quick-serve Asian food that is pretty consistent and pretty decent for the price and time from order-to-eating. Their ramen is one of my favorites on the menu.
google avatar

Brittany R.

Yelp
As I walked passed it smelled amazing and the people behind the glass were amazing. They offered us samples until finally they sold us on the meal. It was a little pricey but for the amount we got and the quality of the food made it worth it. I would definitely recommend trying their fruit smoothies as they were delicious and tastes so real.
google avatar

Fransisca M.

Yelp
The wait is finally over! I had been waiting all summer long for this place to eventually open bc I'm so tired of the food options at the GSP. Yong Kang Street is not your typical mall chinese food stall. They got yummy Taiwanese street foods such as noodles, dumplings, buns, and shumais. The coconut-ey spring rolls here are bomb, so are the chicken curry dumplings. Highly recommend trying a bit of everything.
google avatar

Nichole S.

Yelp
General tsos chicken is bomb as hell. The best food court Chinese food I have eaten. Perfect tender and definitely not over cooked- the sides were pretty good too. I had the mei fun and strong beans. All in all I recommend this place over the others. No competition.
google avatar

Kat A.

Yelp
I was extremely surprised by how tasty the chicken and Napa cabbage dumplings are! It does not have that "fast food" taste at all, which you would often find in these types of places. The dough was thin, which is what I'm accustomed to, and the filling was flavorful.
google avatar

John N.

Yelp
Awful!! The worst and probably most expensive dumplings ever. Over cooked, no meat and a long wait for "fast" food. Run the other way. No reason to go here. I have had better frozen from the grocery store.
google avatar

Johny C.

Yelp
I never had fried rice that was so bad it tasted like flour. I would have rather eaten white rice. Mushy general tso chicken. The cashier was giving googly eyes to her lover from across the way and over filled my soda cup. Never again
google avatar

Weijia B.

Yelp
The taiwanese beef noodle is soooo good, very authentic chinese beef noodle soup! I will definitely order this noodle soup again!
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
I had fried rice, lo mein, general Taos chicken and chicken w/ broccoli. Fried rice and lo mein felt rly good to eat because it didn't feel greasy at all eating it. It tasted pretty clean as well. General tsos chicken tasted good but as usual, it gets greasy the more u eat it so I didn't end up eating all of it. Chicken with broccoli was okay but doesn't seem like their specialty. Overall if u want lots of Chinese food, this is a great place for u because it tastes good and the portions they give are big.
