I stumbled upon Yong’s Korean Kitchen during my stay in Colorado Springs. I was in town for work and had planned to eat at the restaurant in my hotel. As I made my way from my hotel room to the restaurant, I came across a sign that said it was closed for a private party. I turned to my Door Dash app to look for something tasty. As I perused the offerings from my Door Dash app, I was immediately drawn to Yong’s Korean Kitchen. The reviews were good and I was hoping I could rely on it. Although I didn’t eat inside the establishment, Yong’s was great about taking a photo of the bagged order prior to the Door Dash rep’s arrival. Soon, I was able to pick up my delivery from outside the hotel lobby doors and hurriedly carried it back to my room. The elevators smelled of delicious Korean food, which might be awful for those unfamiliar with the strong aroma. Upon opening the bag, it came with multiple styrofoam to go boxes. The first box contained the main dish: beef bulgogi; the second: Steamed rice, and the last box: an assortment of banchan (side dishes). The bulgogi was still very hot and I devoured it with the steamed rice and the pickled veggies. That first bite was so satisfying! There was plenty of bulgogi, banchan and steamed rice so I was able to make and extra 2 meals from it. Overall, Yong’s exceeded my expectations - the food was the best meal I had during my stay in Colorado Springs. It turned out to be a great solo birthday dinner during my business travels. Thank you, Yong’s!

This place may be small, but the flavors are absolutely huge! My wife and I stopped in on a whim and were blown away. We ordered the spicy bulgogi and the beef short rib, and both dishes were unforgettable — tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with authentic Korean flavors. You can taste the care and skill that goes into every bite. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is warm and welcoming, and the food… honestly, some of the best Korean cuisine we’ve ever had. A true hidden gem — we can’t wait to come back!

Google
Me and a couple of pals ordered kimchi jjigae, seolleongtang, and a spicy bulgogi bowl. I'm so happy there was seolleongtang available here. Service was great! I'm sad it's not closer to where I reside. The flavors were delicious! The food makes me miss my parents who cooked Korean food regularly. 감사합니다~~ 잘먹었습니다! 🙏🏻❤️

Google
Great Korean food, dining room very basic. Staff was great. Food was great.

Google
Loved this place!! The food was great, tasty and the portions were big, you can even share some of them. We had the chicken bulgogi, the fried rice and the dumplings, all of them were amazing. The side dishes were great and tasty too. I would definitely come back and recommend it.

Yingnian Chen

Google
The fried dumpling was so good! I gave them four stars is because kimchi soup and bulgogi were a bit too salty. They won’t let you replace the side dishes but they would get you more of the ones you like!

Amanda Tolles

Google
Cute restaurant. We were the only guests there so it was a little odd to be sat right under the TV that the owner and waitress were watching, felt very "watched" as we were finishing up our meal. Food was served promptly, fresh and hot. Good flavor to the bulgogi, fried rice a little greasy but overall very good. Fried dumplings were by far my favorite.

Google
Food is great, but very small portions for the price paid. And service is poor. The young lady working there is very conservative with her words, no greeting, no smiling, not even returning a thank you. She didn’t say a single word while I was there. At least this time she handed the food to me instead of just silently pointing to it like last time.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Cozy restaurant environment.

Yelp
food : appetizers taste like frozen food you can find from a grocery store. We ordered a traditional soup,, Yookgaejang.. it just tasted like ramen. service: I guess my family did not order "enough"... the lady started being really rude.. it was a very uncomfortable experience. Hopefully this helps other people... real Korean meals don't really taste like that.. please go elsewhere for Korean food.. there are plenty others in town!

Yelp
I was pretty impressed by the Korean food here! I had a huge craving for authentic Korean food and this definitely satisfied my cravings. I tried the galbi and bibimbap here through a delivery app. The portion size for the bibimbap was small compared to other Korean restaurants I've been to. I will say that the bibimbap was standard and I probably wouldn't order it again. The banchan (side dishes) could also be improved, but they did the job in satisfying my cravings. The galbi was very flavorful and cooked well!

Richard H.

Yelp
Food here was very good. The Banchan has some of the usual things you expect, but the daikon radish slices were probably my favorite. Small quiet spot with an attentive and very polite server. If I lived on this side of town I would definitely be here more often, worth a visit for sure.

Yelp
I ordered this fantastic food for delivery. The Kimchi fried rice was wonderful! I'm usually not a fan of any kind of fried rice, but I could practically eat this for every meal! I did eat it for about four meals because I had a lot of leftovers. I also ate kimchi jjigae two days after I ordered. It was so delicious and warming on a cold day. The L.A. Galbi which is grilled short ribs were yummy! I also ate those over two days. If you are looking for great Korean food this is the place! I don't profess to know what authentic Korean food is I can only go by the fact that my mother-in-law introduced me to it and she was Japanese, which I understand is completely different from Korean. But she did know her food. I can attest that this is as close as I've been to the greatest Korean food I've ever eaten, including any I've eaten in Seattle, Washington

Yelp
I love Korean food so and was in the are so decided to try this place. This place is small and honestly would never have noticed it had I not searched on yelp for a Korean place near me. It seems to be family run. The service was good, the one lady there was very nice and attentive. Food came out in a timely manner and it was good. Not my favorite place but a good place for good Korean food. If in the area, I would return.

Michael H.

Yelp
In town for conference and staying at the broadmoor. Snowy and wanted something warm like korean soup. What a great experience! Banchan delicious. Spicy beef and leek soup delicious. Owner and chef very friendly and fast service. Best food had all week or a fraction of the cost!
google avatar

Yelp
I've only had delivery but it was fantastic. Whenever it's cold, I'm under the weather, or just any other excuse I can find I will eat kimchi jjigae. It's the ultimate comfort food, and it is so good for you. Win win! This restaurants was just as comforting and delicious as anywhere else I've ordered. I may have done my happy dance the whole time while eating it. The banchan was so flavorful as well. All the attention to detail made a tasty meal that I couldn't have been happier with.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Excellent food, small but homey. Seafood pancake was amazing as was the LA Galbi and the Korean corn dog. Completely and pleasantly surprised. Try them out!!
google avatar

Nina M.

Yelp
Loooove the food here! Kimchi was fresh and spicy, the bulgogi had such a nice flavor and the spicy baby octopus was just the right amount of spicy that'll keep you having more! The family that ran the restaurant were so nice and hospitable made you feel like home! Definitely coming back to taste the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Craving authentic Korean dishes in Colorado Springs? I highly recommend ordering take out or dining in. When my daughter mentioned she was craving Korean food--- I thought, well, it may be quite different than what we are used to in Hawaii. But we were proven wrong. The chigee was delicious- so much that as I write this review, I am wishing that I could or another.....and have it delivered several thousand miles and over the ocean to Oahu! What can I say besides it was delicious? You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Greetings my fellow yelp readers. I am now residing in Colorado Springs and I stumbled upon Yong's Korean Kitchen and I was quite delighted at the atmosphere and the delicious food that is served there. I started off with some mandu ( not sure if it's hand made or purchases) but it was yummy and price point was fair. I also had Dokbuki, normally a Korean street food, but it was yummy also. The owner added vegetables and her own twist to it. My last dish was Kimchi Jun (Korean Pancake) cooked all the way through with a little bit of crispness. Very good! No real complaints, the waitress was attentive and courteous and the place highly maintained. I'll try it again and eat a main dish.

Theme Park D.

Yelp
All around terrible. Avoid at all costs. Worst dining experience ever--nothing redeemable.

David S.

Yelp
Fantastic meal and very friendly staff. Very highly recommended! Especially enjoyed the Cheese Tteokbokki with curry.

Petey Y.

Yelp
The food was absolutely AMAZING! Definitely must stop by for delicious homemade style Korean food. I know i will every time i fly out to the springs service was absolutely wonderful and made me feel very welcomed given that I was an out of towner! With love

Yelp
After months of waiting for this place to open, they do not disappoint. Everything was absolutely fantastic. 11/10, 18 stars. Would eat 8 days out of the week. I've been dying for some great Korean food for a long time and this place hits the nail on the head. We had some various sides, Bolgogi, and combination fried rice, and it was all phenomenal. I will definitely be back again many times to come. Theyve got modified hours due to COVID-19, so as always give them a call to see what's up (take out, doordash, whatever).

Maddie K.

Yelp
Amazing food. Kind owner. Relaxed atmosphere. We had a variety of dishes and not one disappointment.

Yelp
When we entered the establishment we were immediately greeted by "mama." She was great and attentive to what we needed. She gave great customer service. When we go out to eat at a new place, we try to order a little of everything. We got the kalbi, chicken bulgogi, pork bulgogi, kim chee fried rice and chicken fried rice. We loved everything we got!! Hands down the best!

Michelle G.

Yelp
The food wasn't horrid, , but, it wasn't even close to good and we were SO excited to try this "Mom & Pop ," - which we prefer "frequenting," due To: (usually,) excellent, authentic1 dishes, and supporting local businesses. So, we read great reviews and were SO excited to excited to try, but: for the price: not only was the food not good, but, it was WELL over priced for the small amounts of food provided, and MANY food items 1). 1- entire set of Banchan (Side Dishes,) were missing - we ordered 3 combination dinners - only 2 sets were sent 2). We paid for extra Rice (2) and didn't get the "original," amount - again for all three meals 3). We paid for the option "extra kimchi," and only received 2 -sets again, missing the original amount 4). The restaurant was VERY "stingy" (a very small amount,) of the side dishes provided (the Banchan,)  - and what was provided was some of the lesser expensive dishes, not at all what we get at almost every Korean Restaurant we have frequented 5). Ordered an order of each: Steamed & Fried Mandu (similar to potstickers,) and, instead of the light and delicious Mandu dipping "sauce" we have gotten every single time we have ordered Korean Food, we received: Soy Sauce Packets...similar to the rest of the order: light on all the "extras, that we paid for) The Food Main Entrees: 1). The Chicken Bulgogi - was okay, but, the chicken was pretty dry, and there wasn't very much seasoning/flavor 2). The Combination Fried Rice with meat and vegetables...not only did we not get any Banchan for this "Combo Meal," but, 100% NO FLAVIR, SEASONING, again, all three meats were dry & flavorless, which would have been tolerable if the Fried rice had good veggies (practically zero,) 1 - small piece of egg, that we could find, and I forgot to add, one of the reasons we always like to get the Combination Fried Rice, is the Shrimp...The order had 3 - THREE pieces of the smallest shrimp - think: the tiny Shrimp restaurants put in a small shrimp salad, or, in shrimp linguini, BUT THREE??? 3). So, the last: LA Galbi (kalbi, whichever you call it - we've seen it listed in many ways, but, this short rib, Korean BBQ favorite and shining star of what we normally order, and the main reason we DID order, is because we have NEVER had a bad Galbi dish ... EVER: This was THE biggest disappointment: the meat was BLACK, not in the BBQ delicious way (think BBQ "Bark,") but, in the way: OVER COOKED, DRIED OUT, AND OLD, and HARDLY ANY BBQ SAUCE, OR FLAVOR!!! Honestly, with all three dishes having the same lack of flavor, seriously dried out meat, etc...we thought: the food either was re-cooked, sat under heat lamps, and just old...disgusting! I guess: maybe they aren't accustomed to having customers that are accustomed to (and VERY FAMILIAR,) with Korean Cuisine!!! So, while we let A LOT of small or 1 error type of food. issues go: the food by itself was almost $100.00, and with fees, tip etc: $130.00... So, our only conclusion is that I guess they must have to get orders that cost $1000.00 to get the order correct, provide quality food, and add care and NOT be stingy. Oh, btw, they were about an hour late, and yes, the roads were bad, but, their being late wasn't even due to that, the RESTAURANT was that late, because we tracked, and had exceptional communication from our Driver. ***That was the ONLY good thing from the entire experience...Summer, our Driver was AMAZING, and we hope she picks up our orders in the future!!!

Yelp
This is a cute small restaurant off Circle, south of Fountain Blvd. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is scrumptious. They serve delicious sides with every order and the one server is attentive and very gracious. If you stop in at lunch time, they have Korean soap operas playing on the TV with English subtitles. This is my third visit. The first time, I got the prok bulgogi as take-out. It was a trial that convinced me to come back at next opportunity. My second lunch was sit-in with beef bulgogi and today I'm getting the chicken bulgovi. Their refrigerator in the dining area has packs and bottles of their sides and kim chee which are available for take-out.

Yelp
Hands down, the best Korean food I have had compared to California!! And I have traveled to Korea, and this food is still very comparable! Thank you to this wonderful family owned restaurant for the Great hospitality. And Delicious eats! Gamsahamnida!!!!! Items ordered: Cheese Tteokbokki-Bomb! L.A. Galbi -Bomb Nakji- Bomb Japchae- Bomb Bibimbop-Bomb All the BanChan was so delish! And house made! Thanks again Yong's Korean Restaurant for this wonderful experience!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Love this place. Eat there almost weekly. Can't go wrong with Kimchi Fried Rice. See you there!

James T.

Yelp
What kind of Korean restaurant doesn't offer Barley Tea and only offers deep fried mandu?

Danny O.

Yelp
Most and VERY enjoyable Korean cuisine. We were immediately treated like prized guests and this was our 1st visit. The few tables available were to accommodate the covid-nineteen perimeters, nevertheless, there was a solid stream of to-go orders happening, too. My wife had the spicy squid, ojingeo bokkeum, and me, the dolsot bibimbap and, we got 2 to-go orders. Exquisite. Spoil your self if you dig Korean food; entice your curiosity if you've yet to try this fulfilling home cooking, Korean-style. We will visit often.
google avatar

Jessica A.

Yelp
I ordered the bibimbap dinner for delivery and I am very satisfied with the neatness as well as great flavor from the dish. I feel confident to order from this restaurant again.

Terri T.

Yelp
Lunch specials soups are the best option for flavor and price point. I ordered the dinner priced $28.00 L.A. Galbi because I am doing a personal taste test on the best in town. Flavorful but gristly and tough. A big bite will not break down by chewing and will block your airway. Plan to be eating this in small bites while using your fingers to hold the bone or request a knife. Do not take a big bite because it will choke you. Cold sides included what tasted like a store bought potato salad-not authentic. Service was good.
google avatar

Ryan J.

Yelp
Wow! Absolutely exceeded my expectations and delighted my family when I brought this tasty dish home. Fresh, healthy, authentic and absolutely packed with flavor. Don't miss this spot!!! I challenge you to find better Korean cuisine anywhere else in the world. If you haven't experienced it, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to Yong's!!!
google avatar

Hongcha K.

Yelp
I found this restaurant by chance one day and became my favorite Korean restaurant since. I eat there two or three times a week and every time the Banchan (side dish) changes to different varieties and all of them are delicious like my mom cooked( I am a Korean).
google avatar

Whitney L.

Yelp
We have waited forever for Yong's to open. Each dish has great flavor. The kimchi was tasty without too much heat. The mandu was crispy. They don't offer a kids menu so that's disappointing. Will definitely eat there again next week.

Marques M.

Yelp
Great reviews so I gave it a try. Ordered a soup and appetizer for take out. They said 30 minutes...for takeout. I show up 30 minutes later. I wait another 30 minutes at the restaurant standing in front of the cashier. Then it dawn's on me, I ordered an hour ago. I ask for an ETA. 5 minutes later waitress says they just started your soup. What?? Had to cancel. Poor door dash driver was there even longer than me. Restaurant wasn't packed, but what killed me was they let me stand there for 30 minutes before firing my food. Much better service at Tong Tong.
google avatar

Carin R.

Yelp
Excellent food. I recommend the japchae with bulgogi and egg. We didn't get kimchi with it, but there was so much that we didn't need it. The bulgogi that I ordered last time was also wonderful and it did have kimchi with it.
google avatar

Nolan F.

Yelp
We were stationed in Korea before and had not found a Korean place in the Springs that had the authentic taste. Luckily we stumbled upon this place. We tried quite a bit - 2 orders of mandu (one steamed, one fried), pork bulgogi, kalbi, kimchi fried rice, and their kimchi soup. Not sure how the kimchi soup tasted since it was for my mother in law, but it was clearing her sinuses. Everything else was legit, tasted phenomenal, and reminded us of being back in Korea. Glad we found this place and will definitely be back again!!! Oh also wanted to add the owners are really friendly too!
google avatar

Wang C.

Yelp
By far the best Korean food around!!!!!! And so far the best Asian food I've found in the area. We ordered 5 different meals, and it was all delicious! Don't waste your time or money going anywhere else. Even though they are little bit out of the way for us and double the time and distance to the place we go to (now used to go to after this meal), this will be the only Korean place we go to from now on. I cannot rave enough about this place. It truly reminds me of being back in Korea.

Sebastian A.

Yelp
Quick and very delicious. Authentic and great service. I will be going back to this place in the near future.
google avatar

C.L. R.

Yelp
Loved the beef bulgogi. I probably pick this up at least a few times a month. The side dishes are great. Always fun to open up the container and see which ones they've sent.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! You will not be disappointed! I ordered the beef bulgogi extra spicy and I was sweating all over the place. A definite must have! Tops any other bulgogi I've had in Colorado Springs!

Richard K.

Yelp
I saw the sign while driving down the street the other day so stopped in today for a quick lunch. I was hungry for fried rice so I ordered the comination fried rice. Wonderfully good! So good I ate the whole thing when my original plan was to take some home. The side dishes were tasty and very fresh. Really went well with the fried rice. I go to Korea most years on business. The guy I work with over there likes good food so I have a frame of reference. Would I bring him here? Sure will. Good food, nice people, clean and pleasant place to be. I will be back!
google avatar

Christiaan N.

Yelp
The food was really good! The servings were more than enough. The fried rice was amazing.
google avatar

Tyvaz G.

Yelp
If you from Hawaii and love local Korean food like back home, this is the spot!! Kalbi is soft and very tasty!! The banchan are all freshly made and you can also buy them to take home!! I wish they sold meat jun and fish jun but I'm thinking that maybe that's only a Hawaii thing lol. All in all great little Korean spot if you're looking for some great tasting food!! Great service also!!
google avatar

Jodel N.

Yelp
We've only ordered food through Door Dash but it's always really good. Would like to dine-in one day.
google avatar

Louis P.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much when you walk by, but inside are friendly wait staff, a refrigerator full of ready to go sides like kimchi, and great food. Since they've opened iced had their food 4x--haven't had a bad meal yet. Portion size is excellent too.
google avatar

Justina M.

Yelp
This spot is so good! Got fried mandu, extra spicy beef bulgogi, and bibimbap. It was all fantastic. Been looking for a new Korean spot with good kimchi/sides as well and they were bomb too. Thanks Yong's we'll be back~!
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
We were so happy to get a new restaurant in the neighborhood. And i was honestly bummed when i learned they were opening in the middle of a pandemic (i can't imagine its easy to succeed during these times). To support our new restaurant in tough times, we called in an order and walked over for pick up. The food was ready quickly. The workers were very polite. Everyone was appropriately socially distancing. The food was delicious! We will definitely be going back.
google avatar

Nicy P.

Yelp
My mom brought me here for dinner and it's absolutely the best Korean food in town. We got the nakji bokkum and LA kalbi and they were SO good! It's out of the way from where I live but I'll absolutely be coming here again and letting all my friends know. The food and service are great!
google avatar

Darcy B.

Yelp
Love this place! Locally owned and amazing food, and great prices , I'm never disappointed when we go to yongs Korean kitchen, it's one of them hole on the wall type restaurants , they don't garner a lot of attention so if you try it please help spread the world , keep this locally owned restaurant open for years to come
google avatar

Anna P.

Yelp
Tried this for the first time tonight & truly loved the flavors & all of the vegetable sides. The only negative was that the octopus dish did not have much octopus & I was simply just crunching on vegetables. I won't buy this dish again, but I'll definitely try something else next time.

Danielle S.

Yelp
LOVE this place, I've eaten here 3 times so far and every time has not disappointed. I just came from Korea and have tried different Korean restaurants here in the springs and nothing compares to this place. There's a couple of the side dishes that change sometimes so it gives me something new to try. Kimchi is always on point and I'm always asking for seconds. Staff is very welcoming and sweet.

Andrew B.

Yelp
I'll start by saying that the food was good; the rest of the experience, not so much. We ordered takeout for two and we waited 90 minutes. The restaurant wasn't even full the whole time and the waiter seemed very unmotivated to provide updates. For the hassle, they ended up reducing our check by about 20%. Like I said, the food was good, however, the overall experience was not good.
