Gave this place a second chance but still managed to disappoint us. Very expensive matcha and very low in quality. Tasted plain and very flavorless. Didn’t worth $8.5 at all plus the worker with attitude? No, thank you.

Great hojicha and super friendly staff. Smooth, strong flavor without any burnt taste. I’m not usually a matcha/hojicha person but I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back

I actually love their Thai tea, one of the best tasting in town for sure, but the price is crazy. $7.25 for a cup, when you ask for lite ice they either dont do it, or the amount of regular ice they usually put in must fill up the entire cup. Not only that, but when i went for my thai tea they ran out of the sea salt topping and didnt initially offer to make the drink without the topping , i had to ask for the tea without the topping, she would of let me walk out the door without buying anything had i not suggested ill take the tea without the sea salt topping. I felt that was really odd. Plus she still charged the full 7.25 even though they didnt have the topping, i feel like they could of took the 25 cents off for not having the sea salt topping. Im a regular here, but i was already on the fence about coming back due to price, and lack of English speaking. Conversation outside of placing your order is non existent here, they dont understand you. I’ve decided to find a new thai tea place to frequent.

Found Yoonique Tea to be one of the few boba spots open later in the evening around the Portland area (was still a bit of a drive from downtown). I ordered a passion fruit green tea with boba at 30% sugar. Boba was way too overcooked. Super mushy. Tea was overly sweet when it was only at 30%. With the boba consistency the way it was, it made it very difficult to drink. Tossed it halfway through. Tea flavor was nonexistent too. Ambiance of the space inside was nice. There were a few other folks inside. Maybe I ordered the wrong drink. Street parking only.

It’s just not authentically brewed boba flavored - it all tastes like powder - all the drinks I have tasted. $6.75 is just not worth it. The layout and the details are super cute, but the music is loud so it can be hard to have a conversation with a friend.

I've been to this place many times, as I want to support local businesses and the drinks are fine. I was there and ordered a 4 drinks that totaled to $30.81. I paid with my card and then the order was canceled by the cashier as if there was an error with my card. She told me to tap again, this time not showing me the total. I checked my card later and I was charged $34.80. I've given them so much business and I will never go there again. Who knows how many times they have done this without my knowledge. If you look through google reviews you can see they have done this serval times to other people. Idc how good the drinks are if you're stealing from customers and participating in shady business, no thanks. Please be aware of how much you're being charged and ask for an itemized receipt because the costs are not on the receipts they give you.

I drive out of my way to get myself a boba from here when I need a special treat. Nothing compares quality wise anywhere else in the city, and I’ve tried a lot of boba places.

This was my favorite boba shop but then T&T expanded and now they've been overlooked. Yoonique tea has been the host for the MOSTTT iconic cupsleeve events I've attended with really amazing vendors. And their milk teas are consistently good. I know their prices have been getting higher but I hope they continue running their business and getting traction. Much love! 💗

Had a great first visit. Just a short wait to order and get my drink (less than 8 min from when I entered). I asked a few questions since I'm less familiar with fancy milk tea options and they were helpful. I got a peach milk tea with pandan boba. They didn't ask what sweetness level I wanted, but it was well balanced. It was a nicely sweetened tea (not a bowl of sugar milk after the cereal is gone). The peach, milk and tea are also well balanced. I'm excited to come back for more. Super yum! The velvet arm chairs are comfy for reading a book. I added a pick of the menu in May 2024 so you can see current prices.

I dunno. I hate leaving bad reviews. But hopefully this is just some constructive criticism. The drink tasted good. I guess. but I had five sips before it went empty. The cup was filled to the top with Ice and I feel ripped off for paying over $7 for a silly drink. It's a nice space. But I would never go back.

Tdlr: A nice place with good service and a comfy atmosphere. They have couches! And WiFi! And a bathroom! Great for studying or hanging out with friends. They have a wide variety of drinks that have been consistently good, they are around $6-$8, which I understand. They have some cute items that you can buy as well. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is wonderful. I love the music and the aesthetics. There's a bathroom and free WiFi. They have nice options for sitting options: singular/two person mini tables, couch areas, and a bar table that faces the outside. I do long for tables that are higher up, but that's merely a personal preference. The tables that they have are perfectly nice and aesthetic. They also have a sort of mini gift shop on the wall that has cute pins, adorable school supplies, keychains, stickers, plushies, and other stuff too. I think they also host events or activities sometimes, I saw a poster about a Sanrio figurine painting activity. Very cute. Service: The workers are polite and sweet! There's usually only one at a time, with some exceptions. The drinks are always prepared perfectly. Sometimes the service is slower if it's busy, but that's absolutely fine and to be expected. No complaints here. Critiques: My critiques are mainly just my own opinions, so take them with a grain of salt. I'm not sure how it compares to average boba prices, but the drinks are usually around $6-$8. It's worth it though, the drinks are good and I love having the opportunity to chill in the seating area. Wish some of the tables were higher. I'm a student and bring my laptop to study, and if i put it on the table then I have to lean down a bit to use it properly. But on the couches it's easy to simply use my laptop on my lap, which is nice.

I love that this place closes at 10 because I tend to crave boba drinks late. I bought their classic milk tea which was fair just your average milk tea nothing special. But I also got their fresh strawberry frappe. That one won my cravings they use actual fruit and pair it with a foam you won't regret it! The customer service was great they were quick with the drinks. The place itself is super cute if you want to just stop by and relax while you enjoy your drinks.

Very hard to miss, the logo is pretty odd. Interior design: 5/5, lots of seating Service: 4/5, tad slow. 22 min wait for 4 drinks Go with their fruit tea series, that's where they shine. The milk series is very ehh, cream is used to try to help froth up the missing flavors. Parking could be limited.

I think the last time I came here was an off day, because I have come twice since (with friends who recommended it), and it has been amazing. Last time I got a fruit tea and they were quick and the drink itself was light, refreshing, and perfect on a warmer day. While another time I got a brown sugar milk tea that was creamy, rich, and delicious. I loved both times I went here and the staff was very friendly. I'm glad I gave it a second shot. (Plus, the inside is super cute and has plenty of seating, making it the perfect place to enjoy boba with friends!)

They do have their own unique flavor blends, such as pandan, toasted coconut, etc. other than that, a typical boba shop. They have a no/minimal ice option but your drink will not be filled to the top. They use sturdy plastic cups, but it's sturdy enough that you can repurpose it. The sitting space is large. Street parking is tight and limited.

The ambience is great. Very plush and comfortable seating and a shelf full of manga gives the place a inviting living room feel. The bubble tea presentation is very pretty, there is attention to detail and aesthetic. I like that they have dairy free options. I wish that they had caffeine free options because caffeine messes me up big time. I had a strawberry flavored thing and it was tasty.

this place has everything, great selections with their regular teas and fruit teas. I rarely order fruit teas because most places use powders for their flavoring but yoonique uses all fresh fruits and the teas are well brewed. I've come here on multiple occasions and the service is great. This place is very cozy and a great place to catch up and hang out with friends. As you can tell but the photos the inside is very spacious and cozy. This is also one of the only places that stays open pretty late.

I got the Peanut Butter Milk Tea as I never seen this combination before (really lives up to the name) and I love peanut butter! Parking : Street There was a nice seating area that was decorated. The place was really cute. They sell stickers and other items as well. Peanut Butter Milk Tea : It was really good! I could definitely taste the peanut butter. The milk tea was creamy and had a good aroma of tea. Only thing is I wish it was easier to mix the peanut butter in the drink as a lot of it was stuck on the side of the cup. Their Golden Lava Milk (salted egg yolk milk drink) sounded good/interesting as well. Would love to try that one day.

So many unique and delicious teas here! And delicious! I also love the space. Very nice and thoughtfully arranged seating area. Patient people as I hmm and uhhh my way towards a choice each time. My only warning is that teas tend to be on the sweet side so it's worth asking for the drinks that can be less sweet if that's not your thing.

Absolutely love everything about this place. Such a cute space and I had so much fun looking through all the stationary items they have for sale. I had the king fruit tea and coco-pandan milk tea. Both were delicious. The king fruit tea was refreshing but I do wish I was able to adjust the level of sweetness. The pandan cream on top was delectable. It's gotta be one of my favorite milk tea joints and I'll be back to try the other drinks.

I visited Yoonique Tea several weeks ago. I had a great experience. There's street parking. The interior is cute and the service was great. During this visit, I got my drink to go but I could see myself hanging out there in the future. There's quite a large menu. I had a difficult time deciding on a drink. I ended up getting a Coco- Pandan Milk Tea which was one of the specials. I got custard flan in it. I'm not sure if it's like this for all the special drinks but the sweetness level could not be adjusted. Nerveless, I enjoyed my drink and the sweetness was mid level in my opinion. I really liked that custard flan. I didn't notice any tea taste though. The coconut and the vanilla like flavor of the Pandan meshed well. Overall, if you're nearby, you should come by for a great drink!

Came from WA so we were in the area. I remember the inside was nice with lots of seating so potential study spot, but parking was limited from the street. Although I remember that it did take a while for the drinks to come. Other than that, I thought the fruits teas were good and refreshing.

it was so fire. my first time there. i had so much fun with the neighborhood cat! would come back again. 10/10 recommend the thai green sea salt. :)

Heard good things about Yoonique tea and I had to try it. I had the crème brulee boba and it was very milky, too milky. It tasted like it was 95% milk and a whisper of crème brulee. My friend had the same comment about her drink as well. Prices are decent for boba. It's a really cute space, and it's really clean, but the music was so loud it was impossible to sit and talk in there without speaking at a slight scream yell volume. There are some tables and I could see the potential to go and work or study there if it wasn't for the loud music.

Pros: the only boba spot in the area open past 9pm (??) Cute interior, they really went all out with the Halloween decor! The ube drink was pretty good. Cons: sweetness levels were not customizable (not sure if this is only for certain drinks). Pretty pricey.

Yoonique is one of my dependable bubble tea spots in SE Portland. Their location is conveniently located at the corner where there's lots of street parking both in the front and in the back in the surrounding neighborhood. The space is super cute. It's always decorated with seasonal decorations and the vibes are reminiscent of a cozy library with bookshelves and art pieces. Also, the shop also acts as a small store with enamel pins and snacks. The staff is also very friendly and nice. They sometimes have even host Kpop cup sleeve events! I really like their drinks here too. I got their Thai Green Seasalt Milk Tea, and it was delicious! I've gotten several other drinks in the past I've enjoyed too. Their boba was only okay this time around however. It was a little undercooked so it was harder than I would have liked. My partner also got the Coco Pandan Latte. It was pretty good, but the coconut flavor was strong compared to the pandan flavor that I was looking for. Overall, this is one of my main go-to spots for bubble tea in the area!

Really wanted to love this tea spot. I tried their drinks twice, but were not impressed with neither drinks. Their tea is just not good to me and the one I had today had a very artificial taste. I don't recommend the Thai green tea with sea cream or the granola milk tea (ones I've tried). I was surprised that the Thai green tea came out looking like matcha because green tea doesn't make it that color..nor the Thai tea leaves. Not sure why they put color in to make it look like that. My cousin had one of their fruit teas today and there was actually a tea bag in it (weird that their tea was not already brewed) with barely any fruit in it like they showed in the picture. The shop itself is super cute and aesthetic, but the tea just doesn't do it for me. The location of the shop is not great either. It's at a corner spot on foster and very easy to miss. If you like to actually taste your tea in your drinks, I'd say skip this place. If you are looking for a cute spot to hang out though, come by and check it out.

This shop has super cute decor, it's a great space for lounging and catching up with friends while sipping some boba. We like coming here because they host K-pop cupsleeve events every now and then. They have an extensive menu so there's something for everyone. We got a Brown Sugar Boba Milk Black Tea and an Oatly Milk Tea. Both of the drinks were alright. I used to like their drinks when they first opened but the quality has been going down. The tea flavor was weak and the drinks were a bit too sweet. Next time, I'll try different drinks.

Very cute space! The people at the counter are friendly. Unfortunately, you get more ice than tea. I asked for light ice. I received more than half a cup full of ice. Tasted pretty good though

I've been coming here more recently in the past year and I'm growing to like it. The menu is definitely "yoonique" in comparison to others, offering flavors I have never seen anywhere else. I very much enjoy the milkaholic brown sugar series with the banana milk. I've had it multiple times now and it's consistenty good! I've tried other drinks like the "creme brulle" boba and pandan fresh milk but the banana is the star of the show here. The strawberry milk is pretty good too, ask for extra strawberry!

I went here to helpy daughter support a friend of hers who was promoting some items she wanted to sell to the boba customers. I ordered a King Fruit Tea and my wife had the Lemongrass. The drinks were quite refreshing even for a cloudy and overcast day. The ambiance of the tea place felt college-like and very decorative. The seats are so inviting and you can just melt away in the seats or enjoy a book to read. This place is located in a unique area so to speak. The prices were sub $6 which I felt really affordable. We had a great time and enjoyed our both our drinks.

It's exactly what their name says it is: UNIQUE (Yoonique) Best Flavors in town. Recommend getting two at the same time, because one is never enough.

I truly had more hope for Yoonique Tea and though the interior is really cute, the boba inside their drinks is too much of a letdown for me to rank it higher than a 3/5. I dropped by this place on a Sunday with a friend and it was pretty empty expect for the 2 of us. The cashier was friendly and open to explaining the different drinks to us, but sadly they didn't have a strawberry matcha for me to try so I went with a different fruit tea instead. Adjusted the sugar a bit and got less ice -- and OF COURSE I added boba to my drink. The letdown for me was really the texture of the tapioca balls aka balls overcooked to the point of falling apart with some chunky hard to chew parts, but overall overcooked. It just wasn't pleasant and honestly for these prices, I expect perfection. It was almost $6 a drink so come on, you have to give me some good boba to account for that price. Service is friendly, the interior is cute, and there are some cool food carts just across the street, but otherwise, you legitimately have better boba options in Beaverton and even a couple more in the city.

We've run into this place time and time again while out for markets. Most recently we ran into this place at the Portland Night Market. Overall we've tried a variety of their boba teas and here is our review: 1. Classic: this is your basic milk tea and its is great. its not amazing or the best I've ever had, but its good! 2. Taro: this flavor has always been spot on. However sometimes it can be undermixed and a bit gritty! 3. Creme Brule: we had this one at Portland Night Market and the aesthetic was cute! However I don't know if it was worth the price. 4. Fruit Teas: these are definitely hit or miss for me. Sometimes amazing- sometimes too sweet and sometimes taste like lightly flavored water.... Overall this place has been fun to see, but sometimes it may not be my first choice. One thing to note is the boba at the market ranges from $6.50-$7.50 AND if you want to add boba (even a light serving) its a $1 extra (a bit steep if you ask me) In addition- they only have one size and it is filled to the brim with ice....even if you ask for less. It's about 6-8 sips worth; which is overall disappointing for the price. I love to support small businesses, but this one may not be one I come back to after awhile... I will say I have been here 4 times though to try different flavors; but I think after this time around it might be time to call it quits!

I've only swung by a few times to try the boba drinks and can confirm that the drinks are on the sweeter end (which I'm not a big fan of). I've had the toasted creme milk tea (great for sweet tooth's that don't like the tea taste much) and jasmine milk tea. As usual, I lower the sweetness/sugar by 50% or less and I still found the drinks to be a bit sweet. My brother is a big fan of the strawberry milk tea at 100% sweet though, so I can say that it really just depends on everyone's taste preference! As for the interior, they went for VERY aesthetically pleasing. Besides the cashiers side, they have a large living room themed space for customers to chill in. There is a wall with decor, a bookshelf and super cute colorful couches. I'm not one to know interior design well but I can give kudos for decoration. This would be a big hit with anyone who wants super cute IG photos. For parking, it's just street parking but it's also by a neighborhood so it's never guaranteed close front parking. The location is also at a weird corner so the location can easily be missed. Just keeps good lookout!

I was pretty underwhelmed by my experience here. The shop itself is very cute with a nice seating area. I found the menu a bit disjointed and confusing. I'd recommend looking at the on-line menu, which offers a description of each drink. Although the Milkaholic drinks come with boba already, that is not clear on the in person menu. It is also confusing as to which drinks have tea and which ones don't--there's a mix of tea and non-tea drinks in each category. About 10 minutes after I ordered, I was informed they were out of avocado (would have been nice if they'd known at the time of ordering), so I could not get the Duricado drink. I asked if I could get the Durian Creme Milk Tea instead. They said no, as they were out of the durian powder. I ended up getting the brown sugar boba milk tea, no ice. It was fine, but there was a gap in my cup since I didn't get ice, whereas many other boba shops will fill your cup all the way if you get no ice. Boba was a little in the hard side. They also don't offer sweetness options. There are better shops with less confusing menus that fill your cup if you don't get ice and don't charge 75 cents or more for toppings.

DELICIOUS and FRIENDLY! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid boba spot. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful especially if you're a first-timer and need help ordering. I was incredibly impressed by this as I've been to other places that don't really seem to care what you order--they just want you to hurry up and order. But not this place! They really seemed happy and genuinely willing to help my friend and I order. Prices were also VERY reasonable for a good boba! I love their milk teas but if you're feeling fruity (lol) then you still can't go wrong here. The inside environment is also clean and chill, whether you're looking for a study spot or just a place to sit and hangout with friends.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the Hong Kong milk tea as well as the classic black Ceylon milk tea. Being my first time here, I asked the person at the counter for recommendations but they just pointed at their top 10 drinks menu - not very helpful. The interior decor was pleasant while waiting for our drinks to be made. The taste of the milk teas were quite flavorful, but a little too sweet from the syrup? The boba was quite disappointing, it tasted like it was chilled overnight and re-boiled from Friday night's leftovers then tossed in brown sugar syrup.

Expensive but amazing. Kind employees, WONDERFUL ambiance, and the drinks are always super fresh. I recommend the fruit teas.

Came to Portland to visit my Sister and was craving for some Boba. This place did not disappoint! The place was everything you could look for in a boba cafe: Aesthetic setting to take photos and study at, cute merch and of course delicious drinks. It was actually a pleasant surprise in comparison to the ones back home (in California). Def give this place a stop if you are in the area. Will be sure to come back during my next visit

The fairy dragon drink had a weird grape NyQuil taste to it. The decor of the place is really cool especially the lounge area with all the cool books and comics. We also got the panda and milk tea and they had a weird artificial taste to it. Overall, we didn't quite enjoy those drinks as much but they have many flavors and combinations so we'll definitely be back to try something else.

I came here to try the durian milk tea but unfortunately it was unavailable, so I got the Peach Lemongrass tea with boba instead. Even though they put the tea bag in your drink, I did not taste the tea at all. They added a peach puree to the drink that was tasty and the peach flavor was the only one that came through because of the strong puree. Their serving of boba seemed very small compared to other boba places, and the texture was soggier on the outside than I prefer. Lastly, the amount of ice in the drinks was disappointing. I ordered my tea with less ice and my boyfriend's coffee had regular ice. You can tell from both of my photos that you're basically paying for a cup of ice either way. As much as I still want to try their durian tea, I won't be making another visit.

Delicious oat milk tea! I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty much an oatmeal cookie in a cup. My friend enjoyed her tea too. Very cute interior. Service was fast and friendly.

This was my first time having a Ubae flavored Boba Milk. It had Brulee Foam on top and it was supremely amazing! What can I say? If Boba tea is your thing or you want to try for the first time I'd definitely refer Yoonique Tea to you.

Let me start by saying I've had lots of boba in Taiwan (where boba originated), all over LA, Seattle, and Portland. I drink boba at least 3 times a week. The interior decor is super cute, with velvet seats, huge wooden bookshelves, and some cute Asian merch next to the cash register. The boba though, I wasn't impressed. I tried both my husband's brown sugar milk with boba and my ube boba fresh milk. The sugar wasn't adjustable on mine, so naturally it turned out to be way too sweet. The drink tasted more like sweet milk than ube flavored. My husband's brown sugar was too malty. Now the boba: it was hard, too chewy, and floating in both of our drinks for some reason. Granted, we went in right as they opened, but we waited an extra 20 minutes for their boba to be ready. Then it turned out the boba itself is not sweet at all, probably not braised. Maybe they didn't have time to braise it. Overall, I'd say my experience today was subpar. I'd be willing to try it again for more tea based drinks rather than the milk ones we had today.

Super cute place!! The ambience is charming, and the tea was AMAZING. I got the creme brûlée milk tea and it has to be one of the best bubble teas I've ever had. I saw reviews saying the boba was mushy, I didn't have that problem at all. The person on staff was very friendly, greeted us right away and just had great energy. Also, super reasonable prices. Some places these days try to charge you up to $9 for a tea and bubbles, but this one was $6.50, bubbles and a delish sea salt foam included. My only small critique would be that the tables are quite small and low, a little bit difficult to sit and work at which is what I stopped in for, but I'd come back again for the tea

A friend from Portland heard great things about this place but hadn't tried it yet. So we went to check it out! It's located next to Favela Brazilian Cafe on SE Foster Street. There's only street parking around the area. It wasn't too bad around nighttime when we finished eating dinner. The interior of this boba place is so cute! It's beautifully designed and would be a cute place to study if not for covid. I got the earl grey milk tea with half sweetness and no ice. It was already late (almost closing time), and I wanted to save the caffeine for the next day LOL (please don't judge my no ice). The drink was really good! I loved how there was so much fragrant tea flavor (just the way I like it!). Definitely choosing less sugar was a good choice. There are some places that dilute the drink to make it less sweet and thankfully, this place didn't! My friends got the ube coffee (definitely can taste the coffee!), Hong Kong milk tea (not the traditional one that we're all used with the strong tea flavor), and Brown sugar boba (watered down taste; least favorite). This place has a variety of different options to choose from that even includes a durian drink!

One of my favorite bubble tea spots in southeast portland! I've been here so many times and tried so many different drinks. They have a special drink the u chi boba fresh milk which was amazing, the boba was cooked perfect with just enough chewy texture and it came with this milk mochi which made the drink even more amazing! It's a super sweet drink, so if you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth this is the one to try! Most of their drinks I've tried aren't super sweet. My favorite is their hongkong milk tea which is a coffee and milk tea mixture. It comes with this flan topping which is amazing. Drinks are consistently good and not super sweet. Boba sometimes gets a little overcooked but that happens at almost all boba spots I've gone to.

Yelp deleted my previous review and I'm sorry Yoonique Tea bc you deserve a better review than what I'm about to write but Idk how to give as GLOWING of a review as I did before. EVERYTHING HERE is so yummy. The ube boba was as authentic as I've ever had it. It very flavorful, not too sweet, creamy, delicious, and the tapioca balls make is extra special of course. Taro and Hokkaido are also 10/10. Can't wait to come back to try other menu items bc their special looks awesome and the atmosphere here is so perfectly chill.

I wasn't sure if I was at the right place when I got to the outside. I wouldn't have guessed it's a boba place based on how the shop looked. The inside is atheistically pleasing, it's a great place for photos! There is a cure indoor seating area but sometimes you're not allowed to sit indoors. I went a few times during the pandemic so each phase was different. There's also plenty of street parking available, so there's no need to circle around to find parking to come here! The drinks itself are okay. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't terrible. I would like to taste more tea flavor in the milk teas.

So I went to the YOONIQUE food at the Portland night market. I ordered wonton dumplings in chili sauce. The dumplings were OK, the seasoning was lacking the meat was very bland but the chili sauce tasted good with it. There customer service was really great and I even bought three beautiful pins from them at a really great price

What a unique and modern boba shop! The shop itself is very spacious and decorated so nicely. There's tons of seating and tables. They have a glass panel placed at the cash register for safety. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and there was a steady influx of customers. With the help of the bobarista, I got the durian milk tea with boba. It was a bit pricey since my drink was almost $8, but durian is an exotic fruit. I asked for 50% sweet and it was the right amount of sweetness! The milk tea was very rich and creamy and has a good balance of durian. The boba was soft, just like how it should be. My only complaint is that boba itself could have been sweeter. I would definitely come back to try other drinks if I'm ever in the area. They also carry a variety of Irvins Salted Egg snacks! A bag of salted fish skins was $11.

Their drinks didn't fit our liking. On our 1st visit, the staff was nice taking our orders, but wasn't when she handed us our drinks. We thought we would never come back again. However, one of our friends wanted to check this shop out, so we went on our 2nd visit, same staff and another staff weren't in their good mood at all. We wanted to give them 3 stars, but it wouldn't be fair for the owner since it staffs' fault. We don't think we will be back, but if we do, we will update the review if the customer service improves. Fingers crossed!
