Google
Lovely bakery with a lot of variety and options of pastries and drinks. Their prices are fair. Highly recommend supporting Yoon’s!

Candice Cole

Google
Bingsu at Yoon’s is one of my favorite summer treats! I think this was the freshest mango i’ve ever had. All their bakery items and cakes look so fresh and yummy.

Google
Absolutely delicious pastries! My daughter brought me some home one day and I came all the way back from East Lansing for more!!! The garlic bread with cream cheese I like wasn't ready yet so I had a Matcha Latte while I waited 30 mins. The latte was good and the bread was worth the wait!

Kyle Cooley

Google
Great Korean bakery. The buns are all delicious, of course, but don't miss out on the warm items like the croquettes and ham and cheese toast, either. The cakes are light and flavorful. And the purple sweet potato latte, even though it has no coffee, is really sweet but delicious. My biggest complaint is that it's way too easy to spend too much money here because everything looks so delicious!

Google
Sad i cycled all the way here from canton coz i was craving bingsu and its rare in mi. only to find out its out of season. Just bought some breads instead. Its good. I like that their custard breads are fluffy and soft. Not too sweet. The blueberry bun is literally as big as my face.

Google
OBSESSED with this bakery! Always wanted to get yummy baked deserts, but did not manage to find a spot until I checked out Yoon’s bakery! Love the options, very fluffy pastry, and super yummy. The cashier lady was super sweet, and they give you the freedom to take your time, pick was you want, and once you are done you just up front and pay!

Lojain Mohammad

Google
It’s my favorite bakery so far. I am addicted to Soboro bread, but its quality is kind of inconsistent. Sometimes it is soft and the crust is sweet but sometimes the bread is tough and the crust less sweet. However, everything I tried became my go-to breakfast. Definitely I would recommend it to everyone.

Google
This place is fantastic. We had the croissant, egg bread, and coffee-dusted mochi with espressos. Croissant was the perfect mix of buttery, flaky, and crispy that is impossible to get in US. Egg bread had egg, ham, tomato. The bread was really soft with stron eggy/custardy flavor. The mochi was fresh and huge.

Yelp
Breads were very fresh and moist with delicious fillings. The lady at the register graciously grabbed us a sesame bun from the back as it was not yet displayed. Visited 7/19/25

Yelp
Turned up in person, and there was a cheesecake in the case. They had it packaged and ready to go in seconds, and were unfailingly polite. So they've earned a star back on that experience. If they train employees on how to serve customers over the phone, I'll replace that star too.

Yelp
I tried several of Yoon's bakes today and they were all good. Cream filled bread (black sesame and bean paste) - soft and buttery, I wish there was more black sesame flavor. Taro cake - light and airy genoise sponge. Equal parts cream to cake, not too sweet. Ham and egg bread - it had the same buttery bread as many of their other treats. The ham had a good flavor and it was topped with egg salad. It was alright. Curry thingy - Looks like potato onion carrots maybe a little egg inside. The bread is like a brioche with loads of crunchies stuck to it. I put it in the toaster oven for 5 mins Cheesecake - delicious and not too sweet. It has a flakey texture when you put your fork into it but creamy on the tongue. Cake on the bottom. Overall, I probably wouldn't choose it over some of their other more unique bakes.

Yelp
This place has the best Korean bread! They have a wide selection of Korean pastries and bread that do not disappoint. It is a cute little bakery with drinks as well. The service is also great!

Yelp
I realized I hadn't been inside Yoon's for quite a while when I walked in and didn't recognize most of the set up! (the last few years when I've gotten a craving for Yoon's delicious goods I've ordered through delivery). It was a pleasant upgrade and they definitely changed for the better. The space is so bright and clean, fixtures are easy to maneuver. They have bigger, easier to read menu for their offerings like beverages, shaved ice, etc. There are now two coolers, one with grab and go packaged slices of cakes, cheesecake, and other items like tiramisu. And the other which is their previous cold case with full sized cakes and such. I came towards the end of the day on a Friday and though some of the shelves were empty (sold out for the day) they still had a ton to choose from. I got my usuals but also grabbed my husband a tiramisu and myself some basque cheesecake. As well as several pastries of course. Everything was just as good as I remember it being. Hands down one of my favorite places in Ann Arbor!

Laura K.

Yelp
Everything I tried here was great. Cute little place with a wide variety of fresh baked goods and coffees and teas. Service was friendly. The matcha latte was delicious, as well as the castella cake.

Yelp
Yoon's is incredible. Been coming here for years but seems it's gotten more popular recently, especially with the addition of the shaved ice, which is such a treat when the weather's hot. It will even hold up well on a short trip home because of how carefully they package it to-go. Favorite baked goods here include: - red bean bun (whole bean and regular, just so classic) - chocolate soboro - garlic bread - curry croquette (incredible!) Hope this place sticks around for years to come because they have the best and broadest selection of this style of baked goods in town.
google avatar

Yelp
I just had the best breakfats croquet of my life... ok the only croquet- but it was delicious! And the service was fast and friendly. It's extremely clean and well organized. Sooooo many options to choose from. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a sweet treat or savory eat!
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite bakery in Ann Arbor! The cakes are light and not too sweet (which is the highest praise for Asian desserts)!! My favorite cake flavors are the matcha and taro. My fave pastries are the sesame and blueberry bun! The staff here are extremely nice and the shaved ice in the summers are to die for

Yelp
Stopped in here on a Saturday around 1pm and was pleasantly surprised to find a stacked bakery! I figured it would be picked over and also possibly packed ( the parking lot was insane, did a few laps) There was so much to choose from, from sweet to savory they have you covered. This placed reminded me a lot of the bakeries I frequented in Korea. We decided on the red bean matcha cream bread, corn mayo bread, and a warm curry croquet. The curry croquet hit the spot on this snowy Michigan day! The corn mayo was good. And the red bean matcha cream bread was perfect! Need to come back and try some more items as well as something from one of the cooler cases and cakes! Got three things for about $10!

Yelp
Before "big box" bakeries started to pop up, Yoon's seemingly was holding down the fort as sole Korean style bakery. I know this because there was a period of time I was searching for a Korean bakery when I first landed in NW Ohio area and discovering Yoon's. It's still a good hour away from me, but an hour is a relatively small price to pay when a specific cravings come at you. A few more of the large franchise bakeries have since opened in nearby areas so it's good to have options. They all carry slightly different kinds of pastries. What I have found; Yoon's has very good old school Korean pastries that have been around for a long time. By old school, I'm talking soboro bread, red bean pastry, cream filled pastries and such. These are what my generation is used to from back in my days. Pastries evolve. Trends change. Kids grow older just like evrrything else. I've seen some "faddy" items cone and go. Some have lingered, and I like some of them. But in my personal opinion, Yoon's newer items are not as strong as their old school ones. One example is the coffee bun. There are "specialty" bakeries for these, and they taste more proper in my opinion. But this isn't gonna stop me from going back to Yoon's.

Yelp
very cozy little bakery near North campus. One of the best cakes I've had in Ann Arbor. I went for the sesame cake and it was delightful!
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
It's a cute little Korean Bakery in Ann Arbor. They have so many different style buns, pastries, cakes, and shaved ice. Tried the Oreo cake and it did not disappoint. The cake was soft and the icing was light in flavor. Not too sweet which was delicious.
google avatar

Sophie L.

Yelp
Theres not a lot of seating here if you plan on dining in, but we were still able to find a spot despite the crowd. The matcha bingsoo was amazing! On top of the mountain of shaved ice is a scoop of matcha ice cream, and there's a generous amount of matcha powder sprinkled across the surface. The bitterness of the matcha balances well with the sweet milky shaved ice, the ice cream, sweet red bean paste, and condensed milk; making the overall sweetness level at a balanced spot. The mochi adds a chewy texture and I was amazed that there's red bean paste filling in the mochi! Underneath the bingsoo hides a layer of cornflake, which adds to the texture profile with crunchiness. Definitely one of the best bingsoo spot I've tried in Michigan!
google avatar

Cristin G.

Yelp
We stopped in after reading the rave reviews, and left wishing we had bought more! Next time I will get the shave ice, but today I got the Castella which was pillowy, soft, and deliciously eggy. My daughter got a blueberry scone, and my husband chose a classic egg tart.

Yelp
This is a Korean style bakery conveniently located across from the University of Michigan's North Campus in the same strip mall as Evergreen Restaurant, Midnight Karaoke, and Way 1 Chinese Supermarket. A lot of the pastries are too sweet for my taste, but there are a few excellent savory snacks. I come here to get the Salted Butter Roll Bread ($3.00). I also like the new item Ang Butter Bread with red bean and butter ($4.50). They've also recently introduced Baked Ham Cheese Toast ($5.50). The Salted Butter Roll Bread is my favorite and very addictive. It's like a heavier croissant that has been brushed with lots of salted butter before going into the oven. The prices are quite high. It's very easy to spend $30 or more for a handful of pastries. It's Ann Arbor though so that's to be expected. The more affordable Asian bakeries are on the other side of town in Madison Heights.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
My new favorites here are the blueberry cream cheese bun, strawberry shortcake bun, panko sausage bun, and the chocolate ball (like a fudgy brownie.) The chocolate ganache cake and mocha cakes were good. Tiramisu is good but I like more cream. The apricot twist is meh, sweet potato cream filled bun is good but I prefer the one with crumbs, The chocolate bun is ok, better than the one at Moose. Carrot cake was just ok.

Yelp
An excellent bakery. Have tried their pastries and cakes and they've all been delicious. We Asians love when desserts are "not too sweet" and this place hits the mark. Friendly service. Several tables inside and outside to sit at. Love coming here!
google avatar

Jeongmin H.

Yelp
They have all sorts of korean pastries and baked goods that taste super fresh! Not much indoor seating but there are tables outside which is nice for when the weather is warmer.
google avatar

Sherry W.

Yelp
This Korean bakery located in north Ann Arbor is my go-to for some yummy pastries, desserts, and fresh baked bread after work. They have sweet and savory options. They have been bringing in new items to change up their usual menu and I am here for it! Like the delicious croffle (croissant x waffle) and them bringing back whole cakes instead of just slices. Depending on what time you arrive, the items can be picked over/almost sold out or they're still baking in the back. I often times get lucky and come when most of the items are freshly put out. There is no where to sit inside, since it is rather small. During the summer, there's limited outdoor patio seating with umbrellas.
google avatar

Aminah K.

Yelp
Amazing Korean bakery! They have a variety of pastries, baked goods, breads, and cakes. You grab a tray and choose your items self-serve style. My favorite is the custard soboro bread. The breads are so fresh and soft. The atmosphere inside is cozy with few tables.

Tam H.

Yelp
Always good too - lots of sweet and savory options at reasonable prices! Staff also always courteous too
google avatar

Yuko F.

Yelp
I tried Cannelle with earl gray cream in it. The outside was very crispy hard and inside was earl gray cream. It is not soft outside. So it is new version of Cannelle. The chocolate cake was to die for. Love it. So delicious. You should try it.
google avatar

Enas B.

Yelp
Nice service! Great varieties of baked goodies. All are wrapped up in tight wrap papers. The staff are great and the service is good. The only thing that most the products are sweet (even grlic buns were sweet lol ) and only one kind or two are savory. But i liked that place and probably i will come back when I want to satisfy my sweet tooth.
google avatar

William L.

Yelp
They have a huge selection of delicious pastries, both sweet & savory ones. Uses simple ingredients listed on the wrapper, no preservatives. The price may be a bit high, but the quality in return is worth it. Recently they have added tables & chairs for dine-in purpose. Place is small but clean. Worth a trip just to take a look.

Yelp
Yoon is pretty unique in the area so giving it a 4 stars! *Egg Tart - It's definitely not like the Cantonese-style or Portuguese De Natas -- think key lime/custard crust. The egg filling part clearly had some lemon in it too. It was fine just not as good as I've had elsewhere. However, I don't know anywhere else in Ann Arbor to get egg tarts (sometimes TJ's and Whole Foods have it frozen), so Yoon's wins. *Castella - This was everything I dreamed of and more! It looked like a Chinese bakery sponge cake to me (but oval-shaped), which brings back such fond childhood memories. The castella - though - is originally a Japanese dessert so it's light, fluffy & not too sweet. Bomb dot com. I'll be back to Yoon's just for these! *Soboro - It looked like the pineapple bun at Chinese bakeries to me so I picked it up! But it was a bit sweeter & even more streusel-like on top. Yum! It's apparently actually a Korean PEANUT streusel bread. They had a few variations of these - filled with cream, etc which may be even better as I found the bread inside just to be a tinge dry. *Red Bean Bun - Again another childhood favorite of mine & Yoon's didn't disappoint. Interestingly enough they had a sign for a "silky" one and a "chunky" one. I picked up the silky because that's what I'm used to. I'll have to try the chunky one some time! The bread was soft and fluffy and the red bean had the perfect texture. Yum!
google avatar

Ginger K.

Yelp
I've been here twice- super impressed both times. My favorites are green tea filled pasties, followed by custard filled breads, and let's not forget the croffle! They have a savory side, which are also tasty. The drinks seem popular but I haven't tried anything yet. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend Yoon's Bakery
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to get Asian baked goods. There a few seats outside, but no where to sit inside. You pick up a cafeteria tray when you walk in they have a mixture of packaged baked goods and fresh slices of cake. They also have a mini heater that keeps a few savory snacks available for a quick bite. You can also order full cakes there as well, everything, I have had is tasty and fresh. Do not know of another bakery like this in the Ann Arbor area.
google avatar

Cat C.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this bakery for a dessert and was pleasantly surprised to find a Korean bakery in Ann Arbor. I returned later in the day for a snack and drink. It's a cute little café located in a shopping center. The peach green tea was excellent. Loved the mango strawberry cake! It was light and delicious. The chocolate custard bun was very good. There is a good assortment of buns and breads. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.
google avatar

Minxy F.

Yelp
This is an AUTHENTIC Korean (Japanese style) bakery. I lived in Tokyo for 6 years and finding this bakery has added joy to my life. It offers loads of fresh baked goods, buns, bread, sandwiches even some warm offerings such as a croquette or small pizza. The taste is REMARKABLE!! So fresh, it appears their offerings are baked same day and I don't believe items sit on the shelf for more than a day. I love their egg salad puffs and the sausage and ham and cheese pastries are top notch. You can eat in, I tend to carry out...it is not a large establishment but trust me it is WORTH a visit. I predict you will return! YUM!!!!

Yelp
Tasty Ann Arbor start to my birthday * Yoon's Bakery was the delicious high point for me ! Staff were super kind ! The mushroom tea they recommended was delicious ! #annarbor #kerrytownmarket #foodies #michiganfood #birthdayadventures #roadtrip #supportsmallbusiness #travel

Yelp
I stopped by this place on a whim! It was such a cute little bakery shop. They had a wide variety of different baked goods from cream filled to sweet tarts and even cake slices. I only got a few bread rolls but I would like to try their drinks next time. The goodies I got were super fairly priced and so delicious. It was the right amount of sweetness and puffiness. The cashier lady was very kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Ailun H.

Yelp
I was a weekly regular the past year because I loved buying these pastries and eating them for breakfast during the work day. My three personal favorites are the Castella, mocha bun, and sweet potato cream bun. I've tried most of their offerings, but the ones mentioned are by far the best! The last time I went, my friend and I decided to get a bingsoo. They had a lot of wonderful options, but we settled for the fruit option - and it came pretty large topped with a lot of diced golden kiwis, blueberries, strawberries, peaches and red bean. Then it was drizzled with a good amount of condensed milk. Definitely the perfect "light" afternoon snack. I loved it!

Kay H.

Yelp
Came from Los Angeles where I have tried just about every Korean bakery around in the last 45 years and I have to say this place is by far the best ... not only in variety, but especially in textures and flavor. I am not a big pastry person but I enjoyed every single one I tried. Employees are very friendly and it was nice that there were tables both inside and outside to enjoy these goodies fresh with a cup of coffee or tea. I was debating on going to Tous Les Jours as that was the familiar place I knew from L.A. but so glad I didn't and found this gem. I was also impressed to find cake options that are unique and very much tied to traditional Korean flavors. Will definitely be a regular here while we are in this state.
google avatar

Mary Z.

Yelp
Please support this local bakery! They have a great variety of sweet and savory, Korean/French style baked goods which are not common in MI. Prices are unbeatable - so affordable, even now during a global pandemic and inflation. Everything is freshly baked. I got a variety of items and they were all delicious! They also have whole cakes which are made to order as well as bingsu.
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
had the most delicious bingsu (shaved ice) here. we shared the strawberry and mochi ones. the strawberries were incredibly fresh and delicious. the red bean paste was super flavorful. overall very refreshing and worth the cost!
google avatar

Vivien P.

Yelp
I learned about this bakery through the Yelp community! Wow, we did not know a place like this existed here. We moved from California, so we missed our Paris Baguette, 85 degree type Asian bakeries. These Korean pastries are such amazing quality! As the previous reviewers have mentioned, the Soboro have this delicious peanut-y crust and we bought one of each type of soboro. Loved the egg tart! It had its own special type of flavor - not like the Chinese type and not like the pastel de nata! The butter in the crust was super flavor-packed! The dried pork bun (a favorite of mine at 85 Degrees) here is delicious, not skimping on the pork or the mayo. This place also makes fruit cream cakes to order for birthdays! Will definitely take advantage of this! Also has a good coffee and tea menu. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Judy N.

Yelp
I love Korean pastries and this place does the custard filled ones best! The cream inside is delicious. The bakery is pretty small and located in a strip mall behind the Starbucks. Yum!

Cheyenne M.

Yelp
Delicious matcha kakigori! There was many topping ands lots of flavor. Will be back to try other flavors!

Lindsay H.

Yelp
A bit pricey but bread is fresh, unique, and so so tasty. Love coming here for a sweet treat and I love Korean pastries so so much :)
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
My favorite Korean bakery. I often have issues with Korean pastries from smaller bakeries due to lack of transparency with ingredients that force me to not even try. This bakery has an ingredient list in front of each item, and I was surprised to see that one of my favorite items was made with green peas. The service was excellent. The people working made me feel like family and greeted me immediately. I like that you can also sit in and enjoy your meal. Last, this was unexpectedly the best latte I've tried in Ann Arbor! Couldn't recommend enough.

Anna W.

Yelp
A great mix of bakery staples (like red bean buns) with fun twists on classics (like a red bean bun with black sesame whipped cream filling)! It's very cute and clean inside, almost everything is individually packaged, the staff is very kind. I can't wait to take people here for a coffee/tea and a sweet treat
google avatar

Sayaka Y.

Yelp
Store has nice ,cozy feeling. Their bread is so fresh , soft and airy. Price is very good also. I spent 40 dollars and bought almost all kinds of breads. I shared with family and they all liked them. It's little far away from us but definitely coming back for fresh Asian bread.

JlJoJo L.

Yelp
Interior was clean and comfy. Shaved ice was really good, although the receipt machine was broken. Service was great.
google avatar

Lydia F.

Yelp
WOW! Yoon's is perfect. There is not one thing to complain about. I went once with my husband and found myself immediately back two days later chasing after those chocolate cream buns. I love, love, love the chocolate cream bun. I also have tried the pecan tart, a strawberry cream cake, and the chocolate cake. My husband tried the red bean bun with cream. They also offer boba. I really liked that they are so Covid conscious and have everything individually wrapped. They have trays when you first walk in that you can place the baked goods on and then hand it through the plexiglass window to check out. (I missed this the first time and just had armfuls of baked goods) I plan on trying to get there early in the morning one day. They have a good selection when I arrived later in the day, but one time there was only a single chocolate bun left, so I was cutting it close.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came here at the start of stay at home / covid craziness. More like...I wandered in here because of its excellent location in the plaza with Way One market and Rite Aid. Seriously, this place is tucked away and unassuming but I would very much recommend popping in when you have the time. Not sure if its due to recent extra hygienic cautions as of late or not, but I appreciate how this place individually wrapped each of their baked goods. Bravo! The presentation alone is beautiful and it looks great. The interior of the store is clean and simplistic but all the more to make the buns look more inviting. We grabbed a ton and ate them throughout the week. I loved the ones with the sugar on top. My favorite happened to be a beautiful apricot baked twist bread with sugar on top. Delicious! Unique and certainly fits a need in Ann Arbor/Washtenaw County area!!!
google avatar

Grace K.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with the cheesecake here!!! A friend had recently shared a slice of their cheesecake with me. It was so light, fluffy, airy - simply delicious. I'm also crazed about their garlic cheese bread. It is more of a large bun with a delicious garlicky and cheesy filling. Also lighter than your standard American garlic cheese bread. They have many other delicious pastries here. Hoping to try one of their roll cakes in the near future. Service has consistently been great. The servers are friendly and efficient. Ambiance-wise, it is more of a takeout place. Clean and inviting inside. Definitely a regular here and look forward to many more visits to come!
google avatar

Joee G.

Yelp
This is by far the best bakery I have ever been to. I visited once before when visiting my sister in grad school and now happened to pass through Ann Arbor again and needed to come back. The freshness and texture of the baked goods is out of this world. Each item is individually packaged. The dough is SO SOFT like eating a cloud. And the flavors are mild, yet so perfect. I can't even describe how delicious everything is. This time I had an egg custard tart, twisted sugar donut, and custard bun. I didn't pick a favorite because they were all outstanding. Thank you, Yoon!!!

Brooke O.

Yelp
Such a wonderful treat. The almond croissants are delicious. The selection is exciting and varied. A true local gem.
