York Castle Ice Cream

Best Ice Cream! We just finished eating some Chinese Food at the Taipei Café across the street (awesome food!) and decided to walk around afterwards. While standing in a parking lot we saw a bunch of people sitting outside of this small place. First, I thought it was maybe a barbecue joint, but as we got closer, and I looked inside, I could see it was ice cream! My eyes lit up! We were looking for a dessert place, and we found it! York Castle Caribbean Ice Cream One of the best tastiest ice cream joints around! Original! They make all of their own ice cream! So, If you love ice cream this place is for you! Hands down some of the best flavors I’ve ever had. This place was very busy and there was only one gentleman behind the counter serving. I asked some people feeding ice cream outside what they got and one of the kids mentioned a banana split… It looked good so we ordered it. We got the jumbo banana split. With three ice cream flavors and three toppings. For the life of me, I can’t remember the names of the ice cream. But I believe we got Lucuma, Mamey Sapote and passionfruit he also gave us a free sample of the rum raisin with real rum… It was addicting. They had a Guinness rum raisin. I was really tempted to get a scoop of. But after eating that huge banana split, I decided not to. I definitely will be back! The gentleman behind the counter was a cool cat named Cal. The lychee flavor was one of the best ice cream flavors I've had. I was surprised how good it was. The seasonal peach flavor was just okay. I believe the prices are a bit higher here, but happy to pay a bit more for things you can't get elsewhere.

I took my wife and three children there on a hot Sunday afternoon and it was a pleasant experience for all of them. The service was excellent and the young woman who took and served our order was on point with the customer service, patiently took our order and skillfully performed her duties flawlessly. My family was extremely happy with the taste and quality of this ice cream! Best in town in my opinion. Definitely worth the time and the drive. Prices at first concerned me but after one taste👌…. Totally a flavorful experience and worth every penny. Props to the hard working staff there!! We have decided ,hands down,this is our new Ice Cream spot. 👍🏽

I recently visited York Castle in Rockville and had an outstanding experience, thanks to Eduardo and Mass. They both went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. Their professionalism, knowledge, and friendly demeanor made a lasting impression. Eduardo was particularly helpful in guiding us through the exhibits, providing insightful information that enriched our visit. Mass was equally impressive, always ready to assist with a smile and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their dedication and exceptional service truly enhanced our experience. I highly recommend visiting York Castle and interacting with these two wonderful individuals. Five stars all the way!

York Castle Ice Cream is absolutely fabulous. Hands down personal service and the best ice cream on the Pike. Taste a couple very exotic flavors and you'll be good, ooh so so good. Keep in mind sometimes they don't open on time, have faith they will open as soon as they can. Parking is abundant and free. It's like a quick trip to the islands, with our all that travel hassle. Beware this place and all is flavors are addictive, you've been warned. Don't forget to tip your super duper scooter.

Lovely ice cream shop with plenty of tropical fruit flavors that will satisfy. The sundaes are enormous and in my opinion totally worth it. The owner's friendly and passionate about his product. The last few times the teenagers working there weren't very friendly but what teenager working a part time job while in school is all smiles? This place is definitely a reliable go-to for dessert in Rockville.

Ice cream at its greatest. Homemade, fresh, rich, and smooth. Lots of flavors to choose from. We got black cherry and chocolate on a waffle cone - and a cup of mango and pina colada. We saw someone order one of the specialty menu items and wish we tried that because it looked amazing… but all of it was so good. Excellent quality and taste!

I just had the most wonderful experience at York Castle Ice Cream! It's my first time stopping to taste their ice cream and I encountered a sweet young girl named AMBER! She was patient as I asked to taste several flavors and extremely kind! We need more Amber's in this world!!! 🌎
